Surabaya is a city on the island of Java, and the second-most populous city in Indonesia. Surabaya is a busy trading port, and its principal exports are coffee, sugar, and tobacco. As a port city, Surabaya has strong financial infrastructure and home to financial institutions such as banks, insurance, and export-import companies. The city continues to expand, and large multinational companies, such as Unilever Indonesia, Sampoerna, and PAL Indonesia have offices in Surabaya.
