Saint Petersburg is the second-largest city in Russia and known as the cultural capital of Russia. Saint Petersburg is located on the Baltic Sea, and is the headquarters for the Russian Navy and the Western Military District of the Russian Armed Forces. The city is a major trade gateway with three large seaports, and acts as a financial and industrial centre. The local economy specializes in oil and gas trade, aerospace industry, technology, heavy machinery, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, publishing and printing. Saint Petersburg is home to the automobile manufacturer Lessner, and is also home to many distilleries.
