"Let's build bridges, not walls." ( Martin Luther King Jr.) I started with this quote because Zaka is definitely one of those who build bridges to the door of opportunity in the machine learning field. In 16 weeks program, you will see yourself equipped with all the necessary skills to kick off your career in AI. The environment is so friendly, and all the instructors are amazing. They are very experienced in the programs they are teaching. The flow of the program shows the hard work behind it (how it covers all the aspects in a simple yet effective way). I can't find the words to describe all the things inside the program (guidance, mentorships, chitchat, and live talks) they were amazing. The career fair week was great with all the partners of Zaka, an opportunity to increase your connections and to know more about the AI community. I highly recommend this program to all who want to kick off the way in AI. So now I will leverage and enhance my acquired skills in ML and AI by participating in challenges and workshops, also by applying to internships and entry-level roles to gain market experience. -

Hey, I'm Ahmad Dorra, a software developer, and participating in the Machine Learning Certification Program (16-weeks) was one of the best decisions I made. Very well-organized lectures. High standard and easy to follow at the same time. Between the concise material (slides, deep-dive) provided and the round-clock support (office hours, slack channels) there is no need to check anywhere else. I would recommend the Bootcamp to anyone regardless of academic background since the instructors explain everything from the ground up. The quizzes and weekly challenges really helped retain most of the material. Honestly, my expectations were surpassed especially when we started learning how to build a neural network from scratch and solve back propagation on our own. That goes to show you that this course is not just about using libraries and copying code. Everything you need to get started in the AI/Ml field is in this Bootcamp. If you can code you must enroll today!! -

The ZAKA AI Consultant Program has been an amazing and highly valuable experience. What I appreciated most about the program is that it goes beyond simply teaching AI concepts and tools; it teaches you how to think and work as an AI consultant. The program provides a strong balance between technical knowledge, business understanding, and practical implementation. Through hands on projects, I was able to understand how AI solutions are actually identified, planned, and implemented in organizations. One of the biggest strengths of the program is its practical approach. Instead of only learning theory, we were encouraged to build and apply what we learned. Working on an actual AI automation PoC helped me connect concepts such as AI opportunity assessment, workflow automation, LLMs, prompting, architecture, and solution evaluation to a realistic business scenario. I also learned a lot about AI agents and how they can be applied to real-world business processes, which was one of the areas I found particularly interesting.I also really appreciated the structure of the program and the guidance throughout the different stages. The ZAKA team was extremely helpful, supportive, and always willing to assist whenever we needed guidance. Chris, in particular, was an outstanding instructor. He explains concepts in a very clear and easy to understand way, making even complex topics much more approachable. The workshop sessions were also very beneficial. Each session brought a new talk, and a different topic, they were a great opportunity to learn beyond the core program material and stay connected to what is happening in the industry.Overall, ZAKA’s AI Consultant Program has significantly broadened my understanding of AI consulting and given me practical experience that I can carry into future AI engineering and consulting projects. I’m genuinely grateful for the experience and for everyone who contributed to making the program such a valuable learning journey. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to move beyond simply learning AI and actually learn how to build, evaluate, and deliver AI solutions in the real world. -

Thank you for all the efforts made to make this Agentic AI bootcamp successful. Unfortunately, I felt that it wasn’t well prepared especially how the course was delivered. I only enjoyed the session with Chris, this was an interesting session, although Mohamad has the knowledge, he is not yet a good facilitator, for me he failed to facilitate the learning, instead it was boring and I was not captivated by the tonality of his voice. I had to go over the course alone, and also research many other training on the AI agent in order to complete my tasks. The sessions were not engaging, the group work was very very minimal, and I believe that the course has failed in his online modality. In the future, and since my background can help enhance the online facilitation, I am always ready to volunteer and provide facilitation skills workshops for the Zaka members who lack this and feel uncomfortable delivering a bootcamp. I was very disappointed although my attention span is very very high, and I listen to every word in the sessions, I was frustrated and outraged by the way the course was delivered. Nevertheless, I have learned a lot, did some mistakes on my own and tried to figure out the solutions. The support team was there, but the responsiveness was not very strong. I had to send the videos 3 times through three different bots and agents to submit my project before my travel. I also reported that I won’t be in Lebanon during the presentation and nobody followed up with me, although in the first introductory session, the team mentioned that we can agree on the submission date later on and that they are flexible, I voiced that I won’t be in Lebanon yet I didn’t get any response other than a bot generic response. Thank you -

As a ZAKA AI Ambassador, I want to be honest with you. This program is not easy. Ten weeks sounds like a long time, but the classes move fast and the lessons are deep. If you stop paying attention for even one week, you will fall behind quickly.
I joined as an AI enthusiast with no background in this field. You do not need to be an expert on your first day, but you have to work hard every week. You must pay attention to every detail and complete your assignments carefully. If you get lazy, it gets difficult to catch up, and the workload can feel stressful.
However, if you put in the time and do all the work, this program is very good. You will build real skills and strong confidence in 10 weeks. Do not join if you only want an easy certificate to put on your LinkedIn . But if you are ready to study hard and work every day, it is 100% worth your time. -

When I decided to join ZAKA’s Women in AI, Machine Learning program, my main motivation was to prepare myself for a career in AI, gain real hands-on experience, and position myself competitively in the UAE job market. Looking back, the program exceeded my expectations in every way.
The training was structured in a way that balanced theory with practical application, covering essential ML concepts and beyond. One topic that truly caught me off guard was transformers, I was fascinated by how central they are to modern AI systems, and diving into the details completely changed how I think about the field.
For my project, I built an Arabic text highlighting tool that automatically identifies and highlights matching words as you read, powered by a pre-trained model. Bringing that to life was incredibly satisfying and gave me a strong project to present to potential employers.
The career fair was a standout moment for me personally. Being able to sit down with hiring managers and industry leaders helped me understand the market better and grow my professional network in a meaningful way.
Through the program I was also able to secure an internship, which I am currently completing. Once done, my focus will be on finding a full-time position in AI and applying everything I have gained.
ZAKA is a fantastic starting point for any woman serious about a future in artificial intelligence. -

From Uncertainty to AI: The Program That Built My Confidence & Skills | Women in AI Program: Machine Learning

After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, I found myself in a phase of uncertainty. Although I had spent years studying mathematics, statistics, probability, and analytical models, I often questioned where all of this knowledge could truly be applied in the real world. I knew I loved problem-solving, innovation, and technology, but my career direction still felt ambiguous. I was searching for something that could connect my analytical background with meaningful real-world impact, yet I had not fully discovered where I belonged. That is when I joined the Women in AI program by ZAKA.At the beginning, my goal was simply to explore the world of artificial intelligence and better understand whether this field could become the bridge between my mathematical background and my passion for building impactful solutions. I expected to learn technical concepts, but I did not expect the program to completely reshape the way I viewed my degree, my skills, and even my future career path.Over the course of five months, the program became one of the most transformative learning experiences I have had. What stood out immediately was the exceptional quality of teaching and mentorship. The instructors were not only technically strong, but also genuinely supportive and invested in our growth. The curriculum was thoughtfully designed to balance theory with hands-on implementation, which was exactly what I had been missing after university.Coming from an Applied Mathematics and Statistics background, I had previously understood many concepts only from a theoretical perspective. Through this program, I finally began understanding how these mathematical foundations are translated into actual AI systems and intelligent applications. For the first time, I could clearly see how machine learning models are trained, optimized, evaluated, and integrated into real products and workflows. Concepts that once existed only in notebooks and equations suddenly became living systems capable of solving real problems. My favorite part of the program was the applied machine learning and AI implementation sections because they helped me connect mathematics to practical innovation. I especially enjoyed learning how AI models interact with data pipelines, user systems, and intelligent workflows. The program gave me exposure not only to machine learning concepts, but also to how AI solutions are built from both the technical and systems perspectives.I also discovered many exciting topics that were completely new to me, especially retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), conversational AI systems, large language models, and intelligent AI applications. What surprised me the most was how practical and industry-oriented the experience was. We were constantly encouraged to experiment, build, troubleshoot, collaborate, and think critically rather than simply memorize information. This made the learning process deeply engaging and empowering.Another major milestone during the program was earning both the Certified Machine Learning (CML) and Certified Artificial Intelligence Practitioner (CAIP) certifications from CertNexus. These certifications strengthened my technical confidence and validated the skills I developed throughout the journey. One of the most meaningful parts of the experience was working on our graduation project, “BookBuddy AI.” Together with my team, we developed an AI-powered interactive reading assistant focused on enhancing Arabic reading experiences using NLP, conversational AI, and retrieval-based systems. This project represented much more than a technical assignment for me. It was the moment where I realized that I was finally applying my mathematical background, analytical thinking, creativity, and newly developed AI skills into something real and impactful. I am incredibly proud that BookBuddy AI later won First Place in the Young Entrepreneur’s Category during the Innovation Awards at the Congress of Arabic and Creative Industries. What makes this journey even more special is that my path with ZAKA did not end after the program itself. After some time, our paths crossed again through a startAD competition that was organized in partnership with ZAKA. During that experience, we collaborated on another innovative project called “Nabra.” For me, this was a beautiful reflection of how the program was not only an educational experience, but also the beginning of a long-term connection with a community that continuously supports innovation, collaboration, and growth. It truly showed me that opportunities created through meaningful programs can continue expanding far beyond the classroom itself. The career fair and networking opportunities throughout the program also gave me valuable exposure to professionals and opportunities within the AI industry, helping me better envision my future path in this field.Looking back, the Women in AI program did much more than teach me AI concepts. It helped me discover where my background, strengths, and passions intersect. It transformed uncertainty into direction. It showed me that Applied Mathematics and Statistics can become powerful foundations for building intelligent systems, impactful technologies, and innovative solutions.Today, I feel far more confident about my future in AI, research, intelligent systems, and technology-driven innovation. I plan to continue applying what I learned to develop AI solutions that create meaningful impact across sustainability, education, and emerging technologies. I am truly grateful to the entire ZAKA team, mentors, instructors, and organizers for creating such an inspiring and life-changing experience. -

I recently completed the AI & Machine Learning Certification and wanted to share my experience to help future learners. Overall, the program delivered strong value and provided a solid, practical foundation in machine learning concepts, tools, and workflows. I appreciated how the curriculum was structured: each module built logically on the previous one, starting from core ML fundamentals and gradually advancing into real-world applications. The program was very hands-on, which made a big difference in my understanding. Instead of only theory, we worked directly on real datasets, built models step-by-step, and practiced how to evaluate and improve them. The mini-projects and final capstone were especially useful because they pushed me to think like a practitioner and apply everything I had learned. The instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and clear in their explanations. Whenever I had questions, they were available to help and made sure concepts were understood before moving forward. The learning environment was positive and collaborative, which made the entire experience more motivating.I walked away with strong ML skills, real projects, and confidence to continue building in AI. I definitely recommend this certification. -

I joined this Bootcamp as my first step into the world of AI. Initially focused on grasping basics, I developed an interest in machine learning. Its practical applications through hands-on exercises was incredibly helpful. Deep learning and NLP were new territories, challenging yet intriguing. Creating a breast cancer diagnosis model as my capstone project was a highlight, applying theory to a real-world problem. The bootcamp introduced me to the basics of the 5 main areas of AI, making me more confident to take the next step in the field even as a beginner. Looking forward to implementing my knowledge in innovative ways! -
