UX Design Course
Springboard provided 1-on-1 mentorship and a great curriculum to follow. One of the nicest perks of an online course is that you can pace yourself and don't feel the need to follow the set schedule. They do tell you the average time is about 3 months to get thorugh the entire course, but you can spend as long as you need.

Great Introduction Program
The mentorship and guidance really helped seperate this course from others. I was able to bounce ideas off of a professional and learn from him.

Great Community, Mentorship, and Curated Coursework

Most of what I have learned about Data Science, I have learned online through free MOOC's. I enjoy this method of learning because I can really learn at my own pace, and I believe it nurtures free-thinking and problem solving in a way that more structured environments (i.e. univeristy) do not. After about a month of working through Springboard's Data Science Intensive course, I really like their unique learning environment. The coursework is curated from a pretty large variatey of websites across the internet, and I would have never found all of this material on my own. I feel much more comfortable discussing complex data science topics and using analytics tools after only of month of coursework. Unlike the other reviewer, I have not spent any additional money on the curated coursework. The mentorship program is a key component to my success thus far in the course, and he has really helped me through my capstone project. Finally, Springboard nurtures a pretty vibrant community of students and mentors that communicate through a private forum.
Overall, I am feel like the course was money well-spent, and I am excited to get a lot more practice with my newly acquired skills.

Great Mentorship, Decent Curriculum

The curriculum is a bunch of curated resources from various web sites (Udacity, Lynda, and other web sources). They also do provide articles and suggested books. While I found the videos helpful, the suggested books hold the key information. Also just a note a lot of the resources you will want have short trials and you will end up having to pay for. I found Sketch, Flinto, and UXPin to be the most helpful for completing the projects.
The projects all build a good porfolio to break into the field of UX including the classic Timebank exercise. I did this course to get a better background in UX as a developer and it did help me get a lot better ideas for planning, layout, and repsonsiveness. I cannot speak for Job Assistance as I am not looking to break into the field but there are a number of people taking the course looking to do so. (You would probably get the most assistance from your mentor). The course does have GREAT office hours ranging in topics from breaking into UX to specific concepts that relate to your projects.
The best part is your mentor. Springboard seems to do a good job with matching you with a mentor that matches what you really want to get out of the course. My mentor has been nothing short of amazing. That is what you really pay for with this course, not the materials, but the mentorship. You get a weekly phone call with your mentor and mine would answer emails with feedback in betweek sessions.
Overall the course is inexpensive if you're looking to get a solid background and understanding of UX. I am more of a back-end developer so this actually helped me understand a lot of things about the Front-End side of development. I am not trying to break into the field of UX, BUT the mentorship is awesome and I'm sure you and your mentor would develop a plan to break into the field if you are looking to.

Hands-On Learning Experience

The bootcamp provided a solid blend of practical learning and real-world application. I gained hands-on experience with tools like SQL, Excel, and Power BI through meaningful projects. The curriculum was structured and industry-relevant, though more mentorship and deeper concept explanations would improve it further. Overall, it’s a great platform for building job-ready skills if you stay proactive and committed. -

data analytics
Great experience overall. The Springboard Data Analyst program is challenging but very helpful. The structure and projects are practical and helped me gain real-world data analysis skills. Highly recommended. I highly recommend it. I would recommend it to anyone serious about this field. -

Practical and impactful
A solid, project-driven data science bootcamp with strong mentorship support. The curriculum is well-structured and focuses on real-world applications rather than just theory. Mentor feedback and hands-on projects were especially valuable in building confidence and practical skills. Best suited for motivated learners who are willing to put in consistent effort. -

Negative Experience
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
My first mentor joined the calls late every single time, missed calls without any notification, rude and usually takes a week + to respond to emails. I seriously question how someone like him can even be considered a "mentor." Springboards mentor system is a gamble, either you get someone supportive or someone who just doesn't care.
Curriculum was okay, however there are too many articles that are just “filler” and didnt really serve a purpose in learning data analytics. My biggest issue is with this so called mentor program. Springboard promotes this and uses it to stand out, but from my experience and others.. the mentor system is bad and it shouldn't be a gamble on who gets good mentors and bad ones.

Not Worth It, Job Guarantee Conditions Impossible to Meet
Overall a bad experience. I learned a lot, but all from videos that they just link to from youtube. Instructor is literally youtube videos. No support from staff (only help I got was from other students). Mentors checked out. Over promised and under delivered. No job prospects after passing the course (super competitive market for entry level devs these days). -

Hello, If I could go back and spend my money elsewhere I would. I wish I would have gone in person as this course is non-conducive learning. The lack of help when you have a question is frustrating If you are working full time.. as it will take a day or so to get that answer. They only allow 1 call per week with a actual person to provide clarity so good luck getting a detailed explanation more the that. Project instructions are just some text and I feel they are never clear instructions and I am left with many questions where I have to wait until I can get ahold of someone for clarity. I've also noticed one "mentor" I had never checked my work and just kept saying "everything looks good" until I hired my own tutor and found my code riddled with errors and went over them. Sometimes the projects also ask you to perform things you haven't even learned yet in the videos. My critique to this school would be to film detailed instructions from a human with instructions as well as the written instruction, also should be able to speak to someone more the 1x a week. I cant personally recommend this school in good conscious to anyone. I have done online school before and have a bachelors degree so I have a idea of well structured and supportive school and this is not that. -

The bootcamp offers an excellent, practical curriculum that helps me build a comprehensive knowledge base. Whenever I have questions or need clarification, they provide timely support through a 24-hour discussion platform, on-demand mentor calls, and other resources. Additionally, I have a dedicated mentor who supports me throughout the journey. We meet weekly via Zoom to discuss progress and address any challenges. The program also includes mock interviews, capstone projects, and numerous assignments that guide me toward my goals.Overall, it’s an outstanding bootcamp that I highly recommend to others. -

It's a scam.

I've applied for the software engineering bootcamp recently and I was contacted by an advisor. I told my advisor that i can't start immediately. I asked if they have classes that will start after two months (in feb 25). He told me there will be new classes every month, but in order to secure a spot in the future, I have to pay a $1000 immediately. So I paid. But before I decided to start I had many questions, therefore I called him and email him many times and each time I made sure that I'm able to start on a later date. That why i believed him and paid. But soon as I made the payment, I realized he was lying. The admission office told me to start immediately and to pay the rest of the fee in two days. That wasn't the agreement we have. Now they are accumulating a late fee. Trust me! I contacted my advisor, the school finance office and the admission office. None of them seem to care. That' when knew I got a scammed in to paying. I'll try to get a refund and revoke my application. Think about it, if they didn't care now, they will absolutely not going to care after I paid all the money. Which I'll not do. Do yoursel a favor, find another school. I know I'll. -

Good for beginners/refining skills

I think that springboard helped me refine my design skills, given there were multiple projects and exercises to do. I learned a lot through application! Practice leads to improvement. One thing tho, I’d like to note that I think this bootcamp is good for 1) beginners (absolutely no experience in design) and 2) moderate/amateur (some design experience) as I think that the material and grading isn’t of the HIGHEST quality, I think it can be better. There are no live classes at all, there’s only 1 collaborative project, that is the IDP and most of the videos/content in the curriculum is outsourced and publicly available—though it was helpful, I think the price is pretty steep. As for my favorite things about it: mentorship and career coaches. -

Be aware of the job guarantee
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
I am extremely disappointed with the Springboard cybersecurity program. Despite their bold promise of a job guarantee, my experience has been far from reassuring. Just two weeks after my first meeting with my career mentor, it became clear that landing a cybersecurity job was unlikely, and instead, I was being steered towards tech support roles.
To make matters worse, I checked Slack messages and found many participants with extensive tech support experience who are still struggling to break into cybersecurity. If Springboard is not confident in their ability to train students for the jobs they promise, they should not accept students or make such guarantees in the first place.
This feels like a scam. Promising job guarantees without delivering is misleading and unfair. Prospective students deserve transparency about the real outcomes they can expect. I would not recommend this program to anyone expecting to transition into a cybersecurity career as promised. -

A bootcamp done right
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
I decided to take Springboard’s cybersecurity career track because of the quick 6-months to completion timeline and the job guarantee (you get a tuition refund if you don’t find a job) which you have to qualify for. After having finished the curriculum, here are my thoughts:
Pros:
The support system: You get many different support outlets when you need help understanding concepts or projects. You are matched with a 1-on-1 mentor and career coaches that meet with you regularly to keep you accountable and help you achieve your career goals. The program very much teaches and instills the need to network in addition to learning. You also have a Slack channel to connect with students and peer mentors who are other Springboard alumni.
The credentials: When you graduate from the program you gain 30+ projects including a capstone to start creating a project portfolio along with the CompTIA Security+ certification which is very often listed in cybersecurity job descriptions.
Flexibility: In order to complete the bootcamp in 6 months, you need to dedicate at least 15-20 hours a week. They did offer me 2 months of free extensions once I completed 50% of the curriculum in a timely manner.
Cons:
Mentor punctuality: More than a handful of times my mentors would have to reschedule meetings or would not show up and give very little notice. They would, however, always make the effort to reschedule. I would chalk this up to the fact that the mentors in this program actually work in cybersecurity so I understand them having tough schedules to work around.
I think the Springboard Cybersecurity career track is a compelling bootcamp option because of its wholistic approach to helping you get into the industry backed with the safety and accountability of the job guarantee.

Great mentorship, curriculum is lacking.
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
The Springboard UX/UI Design Career Track offers a mixed experience for aspiring designers. While the mentorship component stands out as a significant highlight, providing personalized guidance and encouragement, the overall structure and content of the course leave much to be desired.
One major drawback is the lack of structured teaching for essential UX/UI tools like Figma. Students are expected to learn these programs on their own, which can be quite challenging without formal instruction or dedicated resources. This gap in the curriculum can hinder the learning process, especially for beginners who might struggle to navigate these complex tools independently.
The content of the course, though extensive, often feels disjointed and unorganized. The flow between topics lacks coherence, making it difficult to see the bigger picture and how different elements of UX/UI design integrate with each other. This scattershot approach can be frustrating and detract from the overall learning experience.
However, the industry design project included in the curriculum is a standout feature. This project provides practical, hands-on experience that is invaluable for students. Working on real-world problems helps to cement theoretical knowledge and develop a portfolio that can impress potential employers.
Despite these positives, the inconsistencies in content delivery and the lack of structured tool instruction ultimately impact the program’s effectiveness. The mentorship and practical projects are strong points, but they are not enough to fully compensate for the course’s shortcomings. Overall, I would rate the Springboard UX/UI Design Career Track a 6/10, reflecting a program with potential that requires significant improvements to better serve its students. -

Everything was fine.

Pros: overall is fine.
Cons:
Would be better if NLP would be as an important topic, not optional.
A had Vishal Ratra instructor who took a coding mock test, in my opinion, he was not a professional, as he did not want to answer to his own question, when I asked him. I believe, if you ask a question, you need to answer and show how to solve it if a person whom you ask doesn't know the answer or needs some guidance to answer it.

Terribly run, rude staff
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
Rude, condescending mentors, career coaches, student advisors, and other staff. They play favorites, are tribal, and really like people of their own continent and country. If you're a less favored minority, be prepared to get contempt, laziness, and rude treatment. They put themselves way above you, even if you're much better than they are. They can be incredibly unethical, and just oriented towards the bottom line. In fact, Springboard the company is like this. The course is poorly structured, and the Job Guarantee is scammy. -

Great courses
Springboard is a really good bootcamp. The mentors and career coaches are great. My only complaint is that a lot of the course materials are links to websites that a person could access for free. But the access to industry professionals and career advisors makes up for that. -

Engaging and Difficult
The UI/UX course was extremely engaging and properly difficult without making me want to give up. It was fun to learn all the new skills and new ways to apply general knowledge I had before this course. My mentor was very knowledgeable and not afraid to give me critiques when I needed it, which I always appreciated. -

Embarking on my journey as a budding UX/UI designer, I enrolled in the Springboard UX/UI course, eager to augment my skill set and knowledge within the realm of design. Throughout the duration of the program, I found myself immersed in a meticulously structured curriculum that adeptly balanced theoretical underpinnings with practical application.
A standout feature of the Springboard course is its unwavering focus on real-world projects. The constructive feedback provided by mentors and fellow peers proved instrumental in refining my design acumen and fortifying my problem-solving approach.

Great Curriculum

This software engineering course was an incredible journey into the heart of web development. Covering HTML, CSS, and JavaScript provided a solid foundation, but my real highlights were diving into React for front-end magic and mastering Flask for server-side scripting. The course's emphasis on hands-on learning made it a fun experience. My mentors were knowledgeable, and the curriculum felt hard enough to know you are learning but not impossible to do if you set yourself to it. -

Good but could be better

The curriculum is well done, and the Capstones allow for the student to really explore and get used to creating a data science project. I had a good mentor who was able to help me with the technical work and some of the logistics. The lack of required group work makes the course feel isolating and its hard to get a sense of how good you are relative to people in the same position since the only point of contact is a mentor who is established in the field. -

Good experience, not a magic switch
Mentors and career coaches are great resources, but you will largely be teaching yourself the hard skills. I definitely feel very confident in my abilities, but finding work in the field can be very difficult even with this certificate. -

Scam, beware, ridiculous
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
Ok guys, beware of Springboard. I don’t want anyone to make the same mistake that I did. I am about to graduate their UI UX course and let me tell you, it has been an absolute disaster. I really expected great things from them. In the beginning, I would literally even reply to “advisor” “how are you” email blasts. But, boy was I in for a ride. Most of their content and curriculum is YouTube videos, medium articles, and articles that come up on Google. By the way, yes, the articles WILL have grammar mistakes, misspelled content, and you will see content from 2003 that’s not relevant today. If you can force yourself to self-learn, please literally just pay for Udemy videos or watch YouTube videos, study other people’s case studies, and you will learn the process. Trust me.
I am sure that not all of them are, but I am pretty sure some of the mentors are literally found through Craigslist or under a rock. I was literally shocked when I looked up my first mentor’s portfolio—it was something I could put together in five minutes without any ui ux skills. That’s not an exaggeration. I guess we cannot expect that much from them since they are literally getting paid pennies, and, guess what, the good designers are out there creating products, not mentoring others.
The worst of it is that they literally charged my card when I already finished the course. Their employee told me my last payment date—it was paid. Yet, I wake up to another payment on the next month. Guess what? It takes them three weeks to process a refund. -

Overall it's a good program for changing career or starting on a new field. Personalized mentorship, hands-on projects, and career coaching was helpful for transition into data analytics roles. Those projects helped to get technical understanding and also prepared me to enhance my story telling and presentation skills. I also really liked the last part of the program that helped me to build a strong resume , and provided me an opportunity to practice interview questions. That really helped during the interview process. -

mentor-assisted, helpful, guidance needed
