San Antonio Coding Academy is a 10-week or 9-month programming school in San Antonio, Texas that teaches aspiring developers and entrepreneurs the skills they need to enter the coding world. Their Full Stack Web Development tracks are broken into Intro, Intermediate, and Advanced courses, and each track has separate student outcomes. Students will meet twice weekly in the evenings for ten weeks, or nine months should they choose all three tracks, and will have homework assigned between classes. The entire program lasts for 30 weeks and is part-time. The cool thing about this program is that students pay for one class at a time, spreading out the cost and reducing the risk.

The courses are challenging, and graduates will be familiar with HTML, CSS, Flexbox, Bootstrap, PHP, MySQL, Git, JavaScript, and project development. San Antonio Coding Academy teaches Express, MongoDB, SQL, Deployment, Authentication, APIs, and Node in the advanced class.  Students will create basic web applications capable of processing user input, storing and manipulating data, and communicating with external services. Job readiness prep is also incorporated into the curriculum weekly. A graduate of San Antonio Coding Academy will have enough knowledge of object-oriented programming to learn other languages like Ruby. San Antonio Coding Academy is in partnership with Austin Coding Academy.

If you are willing to put in the time, SACA staff and instructors provide you with every possible resource to excel.

Once enrolled, you are a member of the team. I'm probably the least experienced in my class, but it's clear as far as they concerned, there are no stupid questions. If you are in or near San Antonio and you want to learn to code, this is the program that will achieve it. Tuition help is avaiable too for Bexar County residents. Check in with a group called ProjectQuest.org.

    Hope this helps someone ...
