I graduated from the Cybersecurity Bootcamp from Quickstart that was offered through The University of Texas Arlington. I had a previous degree in Cybersecurity from another school but was still lacking any hands-on knowledge. Quickstart Bootcamp not only helped me be refreshed on textbook learning but also gave me the opportunities through projects and labs to complete hands-on learning. I'm a hands-on learner so I was absolutely in love with this program! My learning coach was amazing and would help at any given point or time. He made everything become more clear and if we had any questions with our projects he would walk us through on zoom. I highly recommend anyone wanting to get into Cybersecurity to look into Quickstarts program! -

Attending Quickstart's 24-week cybersecurity boot camp was truly transformative. From mastering network fundamentals to delving into ethical hacking and penetration testing, the program provided a seamless journey. Coming from a healthcare background, I found the curriculum easy to follow yet comprehensive. The instructor's care and entertaining approach made learning engaging. What I appreciated most was the hands-on experience offered through diverse projects. Additionally, the program's inclusion of accountability meetings, resume builders, and mock interview prep added immense value. Overall, it was a rewarding experience that equipped me with essential skills and support for a successful transition into cybersecurity. Highly recommended! -

Great foundation

This bootcamp is a great way for you to get foundational knowledge on multiple different parts of the tech industry and how you can use that knowledge for cybersecurity. The projects allow you to get hands on experience to the work a lot of IT professionals do to fully grasp the concepts in the course materials. After this bootcamp I was able to obtain my CompTIA Security+ certification with the things I learned plus some additional learning I did after graduating. If you’re really interested in building a foundation and learning where to start, this is a great place. -

I started with quick start because I needed a Cyber Security Boot Camp that was affordable and had a good reputation. I researched several schools and decided Quick Start was my choice. I have always found the course to be well organized and support available at every step. My Course Mentor is a great instructor who prioritizes information for his students and guides them through the course. I am about half way through the course and I am very happy with my progress. There is a lot of information and it does take committed study, but I feel I am in the right place to get the best possible education. -

Originally drawn by the program which is low cost compared to others but I learned very quickly that it was not worth it. The videos are unedited and practically is a guy reading a PowerPoint (the slides are not provided). You can find better curriculums from letsdefend or hackme at a fraction of the price. The job assistance is also a joke, they don't help you find jobs and all they ever do is post jobs which you're highly unqualified for. Run away from quickstart, they are a bunch of scammers who prey on individuals who want desperately change careers. -

To start off, everyone at QuickStart was and still is extremely helpful and respond quickly. The instructor for the class was amazing! Coach Bill was above excellent. The projects do prepare you for entry into the field. Take advantage of every resource they have, cause it will help you get started into the field. Already looking into another program proved by QuickStart. -

I had a fantastic experience with the QuickStart Boot Camp. The material was super helpful and challenging at times, but it was so worth it. When I finished the course I was very nervous about interviewing and finding a job. I was met with very knowledgeable people who helped give me the guidance I needed to be able to succeed. I hit the ground running after getting my LinkedIn and resume completed with their help. I applied to over 80 jobs in one week. When I heard back from the company I now work for, I contacted Gwen and Kevin through QuickStart to help me prep for the interviews. I ended up receiving 15K over what I asked for and I could not be happier with my experience.Gwen Gayhart of QuickStart

Quickstart cloud program is a scam. The video are of lower quality than you will find on youtube. The quizes are 5 questions. Not the in depth program that they advertise. Also, their support group is a joke. Save yourself money and just watch youtube. -

I had a great experience with this program! I just want to say thank you to Aly and the team for being patient and helpful with me and helping me get through!
This is a great learning platform, where you will be surrounded by a group of people that actually care about your educational experience. I had a close working relationship with my counselor who helped me through the learning process. -

Great program both professors were well knowledge & cared about their students. Many different subjects to learn about & to go over. Over 50+ labs, not sure the exact number, practice exams for each subject, online lecture videos, & live professor classes weekly. Would recommend to a friend or family member.
Michael my coach and Aly my Academic Advisor both have been great help.
Thank you so much and strongly recommend. -

Very expensive for what you can either learn for free on YouTube or learn much more from creators on Udemy. Video classes where very repetitive and if you can’t make them and need to watch the video you are out of luck if the teacher didn’t show the entire code on the screen.
I emailed the teachers asking for the code or for future videos to take a second and scroll the whole screen for those watching the videos and never heard back from anyone.
The job placement department practically doesn’t exist, I heard from them two times in about two months.
The person who is supposed to help with interviewing took months to reply stating “somehow your email got placed in my spam folder”.
During the courses I asked for help, the helper joined my zoom session left after about 30 seconds and told me to share my GitHub repo and he would look at it later, he didn’t.
I got him to join my zoom session again a week later the same process occurred but after the second time never heard from him again.
This bootcamp has been a complete disaster, I’m certain it has been better for other but my experience has been horrendous, I am currently trying to contact customer service and speak to them about many options including refund policies.
From my experience I would not recommend, save money and learn from a better place. -

Hello
I just wanted to report that this school is very deceitful and is not worth attending. I am a student who graduated successfully and the job placement is non-existent (which is a school that states 100 % job placement or refund) I am still waiting for a response on my refund but may have to sue them. Again do not waste your time with this school. They are also very non-transparent. 0 stars! -

Prior to joining this bootcamp, I had no technical background. I was working in the field of Customer Service in a Call Center but working over there made me realize I wasn't learning anything new and that is when I developed the idea of acquiring a new skill. After much research I decided to select the Florida Atlantic University's Bootcamp for Web Development through Quickstart.
For someone who had no prior experience in the field, this bootcamp seemed perfect for me. Right from the Enrollment process, till the point where I connected with my Academic Advisor, it was all smooth sailing. These guys even provide support through an instructor that is available on a need basis. I would specially like to thank my instructor who, according to me is one of the most learned mentors I have worked with. Zsolt truly went above and beyond to help the whole class out. With his help and a little combined studies, I was able to quickly get started and work through the curriculum and build my knowledge along the way. I have learned so much during my time in the Bootcamp, all the while feeling supported, through bi-weekly mentor sessions, weekly self-paced, and one on one support when needed. I have just finished the bootcamp and I am looking into possible opportunities for my official career change. I would recommend this course to anyone that is looking to get into web development. -

Avoid their programs at all costs!

I signed up for Quickstart's Full Stack Web Development program, and was lied to almost immediately; The program brochure they had sent me listed three (3) weekly live tutoring sessions when in reality there were only ever two (2) per week. When I had asked about this while requesting a refund, they told me not to mention this fact as it would "hurt my chances at getting a refund." I travel for my job throughout the week and was relying on the weekly Saturday sessions to help catch up and discuss if I fell behind because of work.
Moving into the actual content of the program, it is hilariously vague and outdated. So much so they had to "re-vamp" their content for 2021. They had attempted to administer this course without giving any serious attention to JavaScript, one of the key components in understanding Web Development. Despite being listed as a course module, instead we were given a paltry slideshow and a PDF to a JavaScript textbook which we were given SEVEN (7) weeks late (more on that later). The React/Redux modules have almost zero meaningful information to actually understand them, and the MySQL/PHP modules and videos date back to 2011/2012. Not exactly the cutting edge of content as they promised. The second half of the course falls flat completely.
By far the worst part of this company is their utter lack of support and communication. They have no problems ignoring you for weeks on end. I was missing two weeks worth of courses from the website (necessary to the project that was upcoming), and it took two weeks for them to appear, literally on the due date for the project that required them. When I asked how I could possibly catch up now that I was three weeks behind on content through no fault of my own, they shrugged their shoulders and said sorry.
This severe lack of communication is endemic and present in every person I've spoken to at Quickstart. Every one of them will leave you in the dark and then completely forget who you are when you try to get in touch again; I had asked staff member Moses about going through a refund process in December and I got a call from him randomly in late January asking how I was doing with the coursework, with him seemingly confused that I was asking for a refund. He had completely forgotten I had even asked.
If you pay in full for the course, you are promised a new HP laptop by Quickstart. This was promised by my coordinator Alex. This is not written ANYWHERE and I had to follow up for weeks in order to actually get one.
After talking to Moses about a refund, I was then sent over to Sam who after weeks of ignoring me said I'd be getting a refund! Except he had me confused with someone else who had paid in installments, as opposed to paying in full. So even the sales team in charge of actual administration work is hopelessly incompetent at solving your problems, will promise you a refund and then say "never mind we had the wrong person."
Last and certainly not least was our instructor who would come into sessions unprepared, sometimes spending the entire 2 hour lecture on debugging and configuring rather than course content (occurred multiple times). He didn't administer our JavaScript textbook until seven (7) weeks after it was supposed to be distributed. He was unorganized and impatient towards students with technical issues or general misunderstandings.
Now after literal months of negotiating a refund, they have offered me this; The chance to re-enroll in their re-vamped bootcamp. Except this would mean that all of my existing credits would be wiped and I'd have to start at zero again, taking the full 6 month period to complete.
If you've read this far, please for your own sake save your money and AVOID QUICKSTART! I had only signed up for this course because it was backed by Texas A&M Kingsville and had no idea Quickstart was not truly affiliated with them (I've had zero correspondence with anyone from Texas A&M). These people will take your money and run away with it. If I can save at least one person from falling into their trap it will have been worth it.
I was in the same cohort as Andrew Dunnam and can verify his experiences. Also, I have a plethora of emails detailing how uncommunicative and uncaring people at multiple levels of this company are and am more than willing to share them with whoever asks. -

Great program for any beginner in coding. Highly recommended.
I was a laid off oil & gas engineer who decided to take a leap into the software industry. After doing my research everywhere, QuickStart best fit my options. 100% online, at your own pace, with assistance as needed, not too expensive. As a student, I felt like I was able to keep myself in a system to where I was able to learn from the basics and build my way up to more complex languages.
I just completed this course and am currently looking forward to see what life has to offer! -

Good education and great career assistance

I took the cybersecurity course. The teacher was great and had a lot of insight because he was actually working in the field. There were also other instructors who helped us with the individual projects. All were available if I had a question or was stuck on a step in a project or a concept in the coursework. I feel like they really care and want us to succeed. I will say, be prepared to study on your own too! Cybersecurity changes quickly. It's a field that requires constant learning. Taking this is not a one and done situation, but it will get you started with a good foundation. I went on to get two certifications!
The career counseling has been amazing! My advisor, Kevin, has helped me with my LinkedIn page, resume, cover letter, and sends me lists of job openings. I feel like I have a better chance of getting a job than someone who doesn't have this help. The staff is current on changes in hiring practices and AI resume readings. I'm really happy to have them in my corner. -

Don't believe the Hype and Fake Reviews
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
Don't believe the hype people, do your research and due diligence on this organization because they will scam you! They advertise as being directly associated with your local College, but I assure you they are NOT! I contacted the college and they told me directly that Quickstart pays them to use their name and that is the ONLY association they have with the school. The school said that in now way do they sponsor or support Quickstart as far as course content, certifications, or responsibility. Again, Quickstart pays colleges around the country to use their name and their name ONLY. Do your research; call the college they claim to represent and they will tell you.
Do they provide Cybersecurity classes? Yes - However, the classes are high disorganized, they provide NO "official" text book study material for the exam, and they will only release learning material on a pre-determined schedule, which the live classes do not follow! The live classes are purely review of the online learning modules that the organization provides, but the classes are rarely given in line with the times that the material is released for you to study. The ONLY official learning material they provide by CompTIA are practice labs for Tech+ and Network+, which don't follow at all with what you're learning in class. You have to figure the labs out completely on your own. You can do purchase this stuff on your own for a lot less money and then use Professor Messer and UDEMY. There are constant technical issues that prevent you from being able to access labs, materials, and submit projects. This is supposedly a tech school, but they can't even figure out their own technology to run the program!
Can the Quickstart classes lead to a CompTIA Security+ certification? Yes, if you're already pretty smart and already working the field. The classes in themselves do provide some learning of Networking and Cybersecurity, if you previously knew nothing. Is it enough to take a difficult exam? HECK NO! They try to ensure that you pass the exam by taking the last couple weeks of the course and doing nothing but going over test material. So you're not paying to become a Cybersecurity Professional, as they advertise. You're paying to learn a little bit about the IT world and to take a test prep class. There are way cheaper and better ways of doing this.
Will they provide employment assistance? Yes, they do provide education on creating a resume, networking, creating a professional profile on LinkedIn. Can you do this on your own? Absolutely! Will a legitimate college provide the exact same assistance? ABSOLUTELY! Every single college out there will do this, and not charge you extra for it. This program is not worth $7k-$8k and once you pay Quickstart, they will under no circumstance refund your money, period. Even the instructors admit to having been scammed and are regularly fighting to get paid by Quickstart. I fell for this scam and I'm trying to help anyone out there to keep them from making the same expensive mistake! Do your learning either on your own using other free or low cost materials you can find online, or find a legitimate program that is directly a part of an accredited college or university. Then after you graduate, you can pay the few hundred dollars to take the CompTIA exam on your own and have a degree and a certification! Not only that, but you'll have more in depth knowledge, in more areas to get more than just one certification, which most companies want you to have anyway. -

The Software Engineering Bootcamp was an excellent experience that provided a strong foundation in front-end and full-stack development. The curriculum was well-structured, covering essential technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Git. The hands-on projects really helped reinforce what we learned and gave me real-world experience building functional applications. The instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and always willing to answer questions or offer guidance. I also appreciated the career support services, including resume help, interview prep, and portfolio reviews. By the end of the bootcamp, I felt confident in my skills and prepared to pursue opportunities in software development. I highly recommend this program to anyone serious about transitioning into tech. -

I recently completed the QuickStart Intelligence Bootcamp for the Security+ certification, and it was an incredibly solid learning experience. The course is well-organized, with clear, detailed content that covers all the key topics for the Security+ exam. The instructors present information in an engaging and straightforward manner, making even the more complex concepts easier to understand. The bootcamp offers a great variety of resources, including practice tests, study guides, and supplemental materials, which helped me stay on track and gauge my understanding of the material. The pace of the course was challenging but manageable, encouraging me to put in the effort and stay disciplined throughout the program. It’s clear that the bootcamp provides a strong foundation and was there to help me achieving success in the Security+ exam is ultimately up to the individual. It’s a program that demands dedication and commitment, and while it sets you up with the tools and resources, putting in the work and taking responsibility for your learning is essential with guidance of their career services and instructors. A career service provider sent me a new career path of Cybersecurity Ghostwriter in which I have written an article to be finished Grammarly. Looking back on my experience after completing the bootcamp, I can confidently say that QuickStart provided a valuable and structured path. However, the journey was one I had to own fully in order to reach my goals. If you're ready to put in the effort, this bootcamp is a great school to help you get there. Thank you, Quick Start Intelligence. The career services have reviewed resumes and stayed and kept in contact with me to get a career I desire.
Thank you,

The support and academic team were great to assist me with any questions or challenges I faced and were extremely accommodating. I felt that if I had a more confident instructor I would have enjoyed the bootcamp a little more. There was several times where class was canceled, and students did not find out about this information until logging in to class. There was a whole class where the instructor didn't bother to login at all, so students focused on collaborating on a project instead. The course material was interesting, but in the end I feel as though it comes to no reward. I wish there was a deeper focus on student need and help with either gaining certifications or experience in the industry itself. I've seen other sessions with better instructors and it seemed that those subset of students had a better experience. I plan to use this experience as a base for seeking further education. -

The ONLY positive thing to say about this school was the instructor, Michael..however the school is planning to phase him out sadly. Every other person who works here is virtually useless. The labs hardly work, the "lecture" videos are horrendous, better to watch youtube. You will literally learn nothing and job placement is non existent. When you attempt to complain about the school to the school's advisor he will either outright ignore you or deny all your claims. Lastly, career placement does not exist. They do not help for anything and they will not help you find a job. This course is literally a scam and I wish I could get my $6800.00 back as I wasted 6 months and a lot of money. -

I've been in this program a little over a month and its been absolutely horrible from the moment I signed up. We are supposed to meet with the professor on zoom 2 days a week and today is the second time he was a no call no show and we were just sitting on a zoom call waiting for him. The other 2 times he cancelled an hour or 2 before class. You are supposed an hour session each week with your mentor (the professor) and that hasn't happened at all. The classes are supposed to be 2 hours, 2 days a week and they are usually 30 min a piece if that with him showing you a couple of websites and then saying if anyone has any questions if not you're free to go. Anything I've learned is through the modules and its basically the same as using Udemy or Pluralsight. Do yourself a favor and stay away, its not worth the money and as far as im concerned its a total scam -

Please do your due diligence before attending their bootcamp, I paid over $6000 and spent my entire bootcamp being ignored by the instructor and multiple quickstart employees. It was so bad I had to use youtube and purchase courses on udemy to grow an understanding of how to code. I ran into issues and fell behind by weeks because when I asked for help directly or on the help board no one responded. I would not tell anyone to take this bootcamp, you are better off learning by yourself because that is what they made me do. I paid over $6000 to be ignored and learn very little from their courses. Please, do not use this service, I do not want to see anyone else fall into the same situation I am in.
P.S.
The job guarantee is only if you have a bachelor's degree, but they do not tell you this. They will tell you about the job guarantee program, but will fail to mention needing a bachelors, do not fall for the trap.
