Product Gym is a 6-week program helping you to land a PM job even though you are not in the tech industry.
I attended the winter cohort, followed the instructions from writing a resume all the way to offer negotiation. The staff there are extremely helpful and responsive. They are always there to help. They helped me a lot during the resume/cover letter writing, job application, interview preparation and offer negotiation process.
I can not achieve it without them. -

I was looking to change my career from program manager to product manager, Product Gym's curriculum provided me a good guideline to follow to make the transition happen. It's an agressive 6 week program where a lot of work is done by the student however you get plenty of help from Rich, Cody, Product Gym's wonderful staff and fellow students. They gave you honest feedback on your interview skills and how you approach the case assignment that really help you learn, adapt and get better in a short timeframe. The student community from Product Gym is an excellent source of inspiration, advices and ideas. Within 3 months, I was able to get at least one offer and I learned so much during the process from the curriculum and made a few friends along the way. Highly Recommend!!

I had read about Product Gym and was on the fence, so I decided to go to an event that they held on interviewing for PM jobs. The straightforward attitude, reframing of the job search process and concrete skills that I learned, along with speaking to other students in the cohort intrigued me. I scheduled a consultation with Rich. He was a bit full on, but what he said made so much sense. He managed to intuit all my hesitations and the information he provided encouraged me to move forward. I was sold.
It has been an incredible experience. Having working professionals in the field teach the classes gives a window into real world, day to day product management. Often in classes, you get an academic, idealized overview of a discipline rather than the down and dirty reality. This is the nitty gritty.
One thing that Product Gym does differently than anyone else is the focus on the job search. I have been in my job for a decade and the process has changed so much since the last time I was looking. PG helped me completely rebrand myself (resume, LinkedIn, cover letter, pitch) and their methodology for applying has resulted in more interviews/phone screens than I thought possible. I have gained so much confidence as I have moved through the process and have learned how to better present myself. Having industry pros walk us through how to navigate interview questions on engineering, UX, data science, case studies, etc. has been incredibly helpful.
Be prepared to work HARD and be pushed out of your comfort zone. This process is not for the faint of heart. There is a lot to do and learn but it is worth it. I have shared this journey with my fellow students in the cohort and their support has been invaluable. Being able to have that camaraderie and knowledge sharing has really helped me to balance everything.
I feel very lucky to have found Product Gym. I needed a major kick in the butt to get organized with my job search. Rich & Cody have provided that. Sharing my application & interview totals with my peers has kept me accountable. Weekly coaching calls have also helped me focus on what I need to improve and have provided valuable advice. The fact that the curriculum is regularly updated and you can continue to attend classes is a huge plus. At PG, there is a saying: “Trust the process.” And that is spot on. If you stick to the process, you will succeed. I highly recommend Product Gym. It is worth every penny.

Product School blows

I had been unsuccessfully trying to land PM interview, not even job offers just first round interviews, for about a year. I took a Product School course to help with my problem but the course's efficacy is next to nothing. All the information in the PS curriculum could be easily found by Google searching and at a fraction of the cost. Product School offers absolutely no support after your course is over, other than having the elite privilege of accessing the chaotic, wild wild west Product School Slack group. I want my money back.
The Product Gym experience and results are night and day compared to Product School. Product Gym's curriculum content is something I'm constantly revisiting. It is practical information from domain experts. I'm referring to other content created by other PMs of course, but also from technical leads, UX experts, product marketers, data scientists, and engineers. All classroom sessions are recorded for you to review whenever you need. All the content is continuously iterated on, much like a product, and modifications are made on a month-to-month basis.
Within a week of starting Product Gym I landed my first, first round interview. Within 3 weeks, I landed my first PM offer. Rich and the Product Gym team are incredibly focused on providing practical strategies to get your foot in the door and beyond. They are grounded in the reality of the recruiting world. Rich and team not only have the domain knowledge of the PM recruiting ecosystem, but they also are relentless in their persistence and determination get you the job. They will push you when you feel overwhelmed or slack off. They actually give a shit. -

hiring process has been so different nowadays. Just because you have the PM experience doesn't guarantee

This is the only bootcamp that teaches you how to land a job
There are lots of product management bootcamps in new york city right now. Basically all of them will teach you the knowledge a PM needs to have. But Cody and Rich are keeping us on the track to land a PM job and pushing us all the time. Also, I love the community here. Everyone in my cohort collaborated a lot after class, communicated our interview experiences and shared reading resources.

Rich and Cody and team have figured it out. All you need to do is show up and do the work. The jobs are out there, but with PM it seems like we all need to be tweaking our job search approach in order to be successful in getting them. Rich and Cody have figured this out. The time and effort are worth it - but don't go in thinking you can blow off any part of the course or "homework". Do it all - and the job will be there. For me, it was within 6 weeks.

I really want to give a big shout out to Rich and Cody for making it happen for me. These guys are amazing. I met Rich in December when he was on his business trip to Los Angeles. I immediately gravitated to his energy as I could tell that he really knew what he was talking about. I have been consulting overseas for a sometime now and have been trying desperately to get back to the states. I had much of the necessary experience; but found that recruiters and hiring teams were constantly giving me the run around. I don’t know why that is but I found that to be really annoying. I was feeling really confused and defeated at the same time. I didn’t know what to do, until I met Rich.
He walked me through the entire process, pointed out the holes in my game, and provided me with immediately action steps. Furthermore, he gave me the confidence I need to knock down these interviews. I am a little older in my career and Rich CONVINCED me that was not my problem. He got me focused and ready to go.
I landed interviews at Google, Facebook, Wayfair, and Amazon.
Trust the process and you can go as far as you want. Believe me. Until now, I am being hounded by large brand name companies without even applying to them

How Product Gym is Different and Better Than Product School

I attended the Product Management course at Product School in San Francisco. Their course was informative, but I was not able to land a job after finishing the course and needed help generating interviews. I found out about Product Gym through a Product School classmate. Even though they are based in NYC; I wanted to send them a message to see if they were planning on expanding out here to the west coast.
To my surprise I found that they have been supporting students remotely from all over the world. I took advantage of this opportunity and sure enough, Product Gym did not disappoint. Learning how to generate and convert interviews was what took this course over the top. They helped me generate 3-5 interviews a week within 3 weeks after I enrolled. They showed me how to polish up my pitch, and their student portal provided me with tons of insight for interviews, and even helped me transition to the next rounds. Even in the 3rd to 4th round interviews, Product Gym was still able to guide me along, informing me how to answer certain questions, and even how to negotiate my salary. They have the interview process broken down bit by bit. Rich operates like a f%^&ing surgeon. I mean it people! Rich knows the process better than anyone else alive, because he actually has a technical recruiting background. I am doing more interviews right now than I can even count and it feels great to have a team of coaches and community that is rallying behind me.
Pros: Support, Support, Support
Cons: I wish I can have more time with Rich. This guy is a wealth of information; he really should write a book.
Final thoughts, DO NOT TAKE YOUR TIME with Rich and Cody for granted. These lads are getting busier (as they should be), so have your questions ready to go. I am so excited for him to come out to SF!!!

I am so happy that I took this course. Be advised, this course is no joke. They will get down to business and start working you even before the classes start and give you the opportunity work on your skills hands on immediately to get that job!. As long as you put in the time and effort, they will reciprocate and coach you every step of the way, also they will provide feedback almost immediately and show that they want you to succeed and guide you to the next step in mastering the art of interviewing. Product Gym is definitely the way to go on embarking on your journey into Product Management

Results driven is the key. They do not disappoint. I have been working with Rich and Cody for two months, and what I have learned has helped me land a position I desired and changed my perspective of my professional life the most positive way. I heard about Product Gym from Switchup and the reviews are great. Once signed up, they immediately put me to work even before classes started to give you a jumpstart on the course. This course is intense but was necessary to hone your skills in landing that Product Management job. There is constant feedback and trial and error but the instructors are more than capable on leading you towards the right direction. The things you will learn in this course will exponentially benefit you in landing that Product Management job.
Pros: lots of leaders in this company that are willing to guide you
Cons: Very honest and can be a little overwhelming, but good for your benefit

I was looking into pursuing a career in Product Management and was looking for a bootcamp that’ll show me the ropes on how to get a good Product management job. I looked through several bootcamps like Product School and General Assembly, but decided to go with Product Gym. What stood out to me about Product Gym is that not only will you have more than 1 instructor that’ll give you multiple different perspectives on how to land the job you want, but also the availability to a multitude of resources at the tip of your finger tips. And what else is great about that is you still have access to these resources for another year after you graduate from this course, although you most likely won’t need it for that long anyways but great to know. They will coach you every step of the way into launching your career in Product Management. I highly recommend taking this course if you are looking to transition into Product Management.
Pros: Tons of resources available, even after graduation
Cons: Currently only based in NY, but hear they will expand to the West Coast soon

My time with Product Gym was one of the most enlightening experiences in my life. I was able to learn not only how to land a Product Management job, but also was able to develop the communication skills I was definitely lacking in. If you need help mastering the art of interviews and have interest in a career in Product Management, Product Gym is for you. I attended this course with subpar communication skills and thanks to Product Gym, I was able to get out of that rut. They not only helped me with my interview skills, they helped me build confidence in my speech and overall, gave me confidence to be able to tackle any interview that was thrown at me. This course provided me tons of practice and there was always an instructor readily available to help me through scenarios I had trouble maneuvering. Even if Product Management was not my objective to reach,, this course definitely helped me build my confidence in approaching interviews and made me feel as if I would be able to talk my way through any professional encounter. If I was able to gain this skill, you definitely can too if you take this course.

Multiple Instructors were always available to guide me through different kinds of interviews. From first round interviews, all the way to 4th round/ final round sit in interviews, they provided me a wide variety of scenarios that would likely come up and how to answer the types of questions you’d encounter, which helped my self-esteem in being able to handle any type of interview. Since you will be coached by more than 1 instructor, it will offer a variety of different perspectives on how to answer interview questions which made me feel as if I had the advantage on how to keep a good flow during the interview process. Not too mention, the massive databank of interview questions they have readily available for you to practice on. I highly recommend taking this course as they offer you tons of opportunity to improve your interview skills and ultimately, land you the Product Management job you deserve.

Thanks to Product Gym, I was able to land my dream job. Before i attended this course, I had a crappy resume, no confidence in writing a cover letter, and fairly self-demeaning. This course not only helped me revamp my resume and cover letter, but also gave me the confidence in myself and helped me surpass my expectations that I was aiming for. Not to mention the instructors were always ready to help me whenever I had any issues. Guaranteed you will not regret taking this course.

Oh my god. What would I have done without Product Gym. Before I took this course, I was in limbo, agonizing in sales at a startup company and was hoping for a change. I heard about Product Gym from a friend and so happy that they introduced me. The mentors at Product Gym was always there to guide me whenever I felt like I was stuck and they always knew what to work on when I felt like I was at a roadblock. With their highly resourced data bank and mentors that worked at top notch companies, I was finally able to get out of the painstaking sales job and found the product management job I was looking for. If you want to become a product manager, this course if definitely for you.
Pros: Even with little to no background in Product Management, they will accept you and guide you to where you need to be. Shows they care about your future, regardless of your previous background.
Cons: Very intensive, but very necessary.

Former Product Gym NY student here and heard that they expanded to Los Angeles. If you are a bit questionable about taking this course, check out one of their workshops where they host top Product Managers from all kinds of companies to speak to people that are looking into product management. After I attended one of their workshops in New York, I was convinced that Product Gym is, in fact, the real deal and took their course without any hesitation. I had to move to Los Angeles due to family reasons, and Product Gym gave me the skills I needed to helped me land an amazing job here in LA and love the fact that they are expanding out here to help out other aspiring Product Managers that need some guidance. If you are looking for a career change into Product management, HANDS DOWN Product Gym is the way to go. I was previously working in I.T. and felt stuck with no growth at my previous job and needed a change. I heard about Product Gym from a friend that is a Product Manager in New York and asked him for advice and advised me that Product Gym put him in the right direction. Wanting a career change, At the time, I lived in Los Angeles and took their course remotely, and was blown away. Highly resourced and informative. They helped me fill all the empty gaps I had in regards to being a Product Manager plus more. They helped me tackle the interview process, having a variety of responses on how to answer specific questions, and even helped me build rapport with the interviewer. Product Gym surpassed my expectations and I highly recommend this course if you are looking to become a Product management. And I hear they are planning on expanding to Los Angeles in the near future!

I heard about Product Gym from a friend that went through this program in their NY campus, and he was able to find his dream job after going through the course, When I found out that they were expanding to Los Angeles, I had to jump onto this opportunity and surely, it did not disappoint.
It was fairly intensive, but the mentors are always on your side, assisting you every step of the way. They helped me reassure myself, fortified my confidence, and taught me the skills I need to solidify the job I was looking for.
Highly recommend taking this course if you aspire to become a Product Manager.
Pros:
You can participate in their workshops in New York remotely; which I loved.
Cons:
Quality can improve, but improvements have been made. I talked to them about their video and audio quality and they immediately purchased a new camera, mic, and fix their wifi situation. Sometimes things can get tough learning from afar, but Rich and Cody are always down to help.

Product Gym created a great foundation for all things related to product management. Coming from a non-technical background, it helped give me a roadmap for all the things I needed to continue to learn in order to attain a product manager job. The instructors gave us invaluable feedback, support, and insights on what the life of a product manager is like (most if not all of them were Product Managers in well-known companies). Even after the class was over, I continue to learn through access to their events and slack forums that provide never-ending sources of knowledge. I definitely recommend you sign up for the class if you are interested in learning what it takes to get a role in product management.

(CONFIDENCE) It gave me the confidence that I too have already acquired similar skill sets over the years in the product owner role. It also helped fill in the remaining knowledge gaps. The course forces you to face your fears about applying, interviewing and discussing your skills sets and market knowledge in comparison to your peers. I didn’t take this course to get a new job. I took the course because much more became demanded on me at my current job. Through the coursework, I've learned a ton and feel more prepared in my career growth as a PM. Product Gym will provide you with a solid foundation in product management within 8 weeks. Like others have said, the course is demanding, and you get out of it what you put into it. I was grinding away at the job hunting process with no avail. Then, I came across Product Gym through a recruiter’s suggestion as he said I needed to work on my knowledge of the terminology. In class, each week, we tackled a different aspect of product management, from scrum/working with developers to product marketing. The discussions were engaging, and I met a lot of great classmates. For me, the best part of the class was learning about common tools product managers use (Marvel, Sketch, etc.) and then using them in my course project. Pretty cool!

Product Gym is not only for people who want to transition to be Product Managers, but also for experienced product manager to reinforce their skill sets and advance their careers. The revamping of my resume, the coaching for the interview process, the feedback to those interviews and learning how to curate my pitch were all drivers to continued success in product management. My money was well spent! In the course of a 12 month stretch, you can return to any class after your particular course is over. So I go back from time to time when I start getting that itch for a new position (and a higher salary ;-)

For someone with little to no experience with product management specifically, I now have thorough knowledge bank of information to get the job. There are many hands-on activities that put you in the shoes of a real-life PM and forces you to work with your peers. Rich and Cody taught me the biggest lesson which changed my job search process. They drilled into my head that the product manager job search was and is nothing but a numbers game. Do not cherry pick. Go out there and rack up a massive number of numbers!! Drive action towards your goal like you’re trying to drive traffic to a website. That is what helped me push my momentum forward. I then started to see the results in the form of call back and invites to on-site interviews. I finally landed a couple months into my time with Product Gym.

I went in hoping to brush up on skills and my confidence to apply for a sought-after senior level position within my company after that position was going to be vacated by the end of the quarter. I had limited time. I knew I needed to accelerate my skill set and just have the confidence to walk into that room when the position opened. Rich and Cody and the course absolutely helped me identify the skills I needed to sharpen and helped me gain the confidence to interview by casting the widest net! Not everyone has energy to maintain their full-time job and take classes. If you are that time of person, then stay home, frankly. Because here, if you not putting in the effort, then dont waste your time. Go to another course that will take your money just as well, but not give your the drive and focus to succeed. Go sit in class with the mundane. This class was full of a bunch of sharks and go getters who brought out my competitive nature. Best part is, that competition increased our drive and cooperation. We learned from each other. That’s what this class does - it brings out the best in you and helps you fully realize your potential. Yes, I could go on about the details but for me the real value came from the drive it re-instilled in me. GO GET IT!
