Since 2014, Preface Coding has been offering personalized programming training for adults, kids, and corporations. Preface Coding’s courses include Data Science and A.I. with Python, Full Stack Web Development with Ruby on Rails, and App Inventor and Scratch. These courses can be taken online or in-person at campuses in Hong Kong, London, and Tokyo. Preface Coding curriculum is created to be practical, relevant, approachable, and delivered in a way that all learners can understand. Lectures are based on real-world cases, ensuring students understand how programming techniques are applied to actual business scenarios. Preface Coding courses can be taken either as 1-on-1 training, which allows a student to have flexible scheduling, or as immersive, weekend bootcamps. Preface Coding also offers a ScratchJr course for kids.
The Web Development course consists of a 5-module curriculum and trains students to become Full Stack Developers. The Web Development course covers both front end and back end development, such as Ruby, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, SQL, and Rails as well as object-oriented programming and database management. The Data Science courses consist of 5 modules, and covers Python basics and data science concepts, data engineering concepts, and advanced machine learning.
Tuition for the program is HK$680/hour for students studying in person, and HK$510/hour for students studying online. There are financing options available to students depending on how many modules a student is enrolled in. The application process is easy. Simply sign up for the program through email, phone, or on the website and you will receive a registration form. To join the program, students will need to have their own laptop.

A very different experience
I took Modules 1 and 2 in Data Science. I was a bit skeptical at first because the teachers seemed quite young. But they were very passionate and knowledgeable, and it made the experience very fun. The company also has some cafes throughout Hong Kong,...I took Modules 1 and 2 in Data Science. I was a bit skeptical at first because the teachers seemed quite young. It made for a really unique experience. The skills learnt have been tremendously helpful and saves me a lot of time in data analytics and visualisation.
