My Time at NuCamp FullStack
I like the clear instruction on completing the courses and taking the time to explain every step. I understood that these were the core concepts, and that my level of proficiency was up to me. Basically, you a provided with with tools, but it was up to me on how I would use them. -

I chose Nucamp because it was affordable, had good reviews from previous graduates and I got the feeling that they really cared about helping students succeed. I like the smaller class sizes and my instructor has been awesome. -

I am coming into this from the logistics field. A great deal of it reminded me of when I was trying to learn both Spanish and German at the same time. There are things in common between the languages but you must be able to compartmentalize and keep going and it gets better. I would not tell anyone that it was easy. No, It was hard and you gotta be willing to commit to both yourself and your goals to get it done. Join a group if you can to stay motivated and meet people going through the same thing. It will help. Our NuCamp coach @Jeremey Adler was very straightforward and knowledgeable. He had lots of helpful tips and shortcuts. Before I start the full stack on April 26th I am going to get as much practice in as possible. A big shout out to the #womenintech on slack. Wonderful women helping each other. Another to my fiance and family for their continued support. They are awesome. -

I looked at some boot camps that wanted $15k and 16 weeks of your time 40 hours a week in their city. Nucamp offered me an opportunity to do classes on my own time in my own place and be able to graduate with no debt. I was really impressed with the amount of knowledge they crammed into every single week. The instructors I had were all accessible. Even the admin are on the Slack channel and help out students. Even if you feel like you can't possibly get a good background in web development with just one day a week in class, give the Fundamentals class a try. You might be surprised at how much you can manage to learn the other 6 days if you are determined and self-reliant. It's definitely a "you get out what you put in" situation. And it's definitely an accelerated learning experience. You have to keep up or else. Thankfully, repeating or rescheduling a class is a nominal fee under $100. These folks are out to revolutionize the web development industry and bring in people who otherwise wouldn't be able to get a job in tech, and I think (as a 60 year old woman) that they are succeeding. -

I recently graduated from Nucamp as a front-end web and mobile developer, I found a lot of help in Nucamp Curriculum and from instructors. The course has plenty of exercises and assignments that are showing a real case of using what you learn.
I definitely recommend Nucamp for new learners. -

This review is for the Web Dev Fundamentals course. I chose Nucamp due to the relatively inexpensive tuition and flexibility because I am taking the course while working full time. I have no regrets about my decision and I will be starting the full-stack course in 2 weeks. Nucamp delivers on what they sell, I gained a fundamental knowledge of html, css, and javascript that has help prepared me for the full-stack course.
My instructor Olaf far exceeded my expectations, which was awesome. If the content seems overwhelming at first, don't panic. It's a lot of information to take in when you're learning something new. You're going to learn by repetition and doing it on your own. They warn you to be prepared to put in extra time for the javascript section (weeks 3 and 4), and I say please heed this advice, as this is when the course got a bit trickier for me. Google is your friend. It's always helpful to read an explanation about a concept from a different perspective. Don't be afraid to reach out for help! Everyone is here to learn, and asking questions helps facilitate that.
Be mindful that this is a part-time bootcamp. It's going to take you going above and beyond the bootcamps requirements to be competent enough to eventually gain that first programming gig.
Overall, the course gave me what I needed, ramped up my excitement about the world of programming, and I'm ready to continue that momentum into the full-stack. -

I initially chose Nucamp because of the reviews and the cost.
It seemed like it would be a great first move to get into the world of web development and beyond, and it did not disappoint!
The content in the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals course was at times a bit overwhelming, but the additional resources provided, the slack community, and the availability of the instructor and classmates made it more than manageable.
And now I've got several projects that I can continue to work with and build a portfolio, and the ability to review all the content unlocked at any time.
I have already signed up for the Full-Stack course and am excited to see where this journey leads! -

I chose Nucamp after reviewed the content for the full-stack bootcamp content and how the type of coursework is (at your own pace during weekdays and workshops on Saturdays 4 hours with an instructor). After finished this bootcamp I can only say it was the right decision, I have learned a lot these last 5 months, I get used to do new things everyday and learn more every week, I even enjoyed the way I learned all this new knowledge and I would like to keep learning this way. I hope to get a job soon to keep learning software engineering skills, to me is not only challenging but very fun side of the industry. First, I thought software engineering industry would be just tought and stress but now I can say is very interesting to learn things on your own and it gives a skill to always be curious and look for answers on your own everytime you get stuck during developing something. -

They helped clarify any questions I had and the instructor always had real-world career advice relating to the web Developer field. -

I'm in the full-stack development program and I just finished the first module (bootstrap). I chose nucamp because it's part-time, online, extremely affordable, and has policies in place that seem much more forgiving and student-friendly than a lot of other bootcamps I've looked into. Because life gets in the way sometimes, no matter how well we've planned things out.
The instruction has been pretty good, though expect to do a lot of self-paced learning, reading documentation, etc. Personally, this isn't a problem, since this is good prep for problem-solving as a developer. The help and support is definitely there if you need it, though. And the workshops are great - right now they're taking place via Zoom (but then, isn't everything?). Essentially, you work in teams with 2-3 other students to work through a coding challenge, with the instructor periodically rotating between the teams to check progress and offer assistance. I think this probably does give us a decent sense of what it'll be like in a development team.
In terms of the workload, don't be mistaken: it IS challenging. You will be required to put in a lot of time on your own to get through the material. For me, that's shaking down to 1-2 hours a day, plus the workshop. I'm expecting the time commitment to increase dramatically for the harder javascript-based modules. However, it's totally manageable with a full-time job - it just means budgeting time effectively.
Overall, I don't regret my choice to sign up and I'd absolutely recommend it. -

In the process of choosing a bootcamp, NuCamp delivers. I just finished my Fundamentals curse, and I'm moving forward to Full-Stack. I had an incredible instructor. I had tons of support, and resources. I learned the basics of CSS, HTML ad Javascript in just 4 weeks. Plus, it is very very affordable. Nucamp is not like other overpriced web development bootcamps. They also provide scholarships. If you're looking to learn something new, change your career, or break into tech, NuCamp is the way to do it. First of all i was looking for a bootcamp that affordable and online. Most of the bootcamps offer online courses nowadays but their prices are skyrocketed. When i came across with Nucamp, what i thought was, is it a scam or real?
I gave it a chance and it is real. I took my very first course under of Web Development Fundamentals.
Instructors are very nice and full of experience. They are willing to teach in every possible way. -

I chose Nucamp because of the affordability combined with the great reviews of the courses offered. It was important to me that, even though I would not be paying top dollar, I was still going to receive all the education I would need to gain a career in web development. I did ALOT of research in order to make sure it was a good investment, including watching a lot of interviews with its founder Ludo Fourrage. Now that I have completed the Web Development Fundamentals course, I can say with full certainty I made the right choice. I have already registered for the Full Stack Web + Mobile Development course, and I am so excited to get started. -

I think that this was deep for a 4-week course, which is exactly what I was looking for. It provided me with a great foundation and something that I can at least build fundamental webpages. It also gave me the ability to reach code and be able to decipher some of it, which is super important when it comes to learning a language. Phil H. was an awesome instructor and someone that really knew his stuff. He helped us and guided us the whole time while also giving us ways to find the answer when we were really struggling (and couldn't find the answer ourselves). Thank you for the experience! -

I liked that Nucamp fit perfectly well into my busy schedule, since it is so flexible, and the format of the lectures and content is very good.
I feel that I learned in a way that I can build on for the future. I like that they provide resources and good advice. I felt like I accomplished a lot in the time I have spent, but feel encouraged to move on beyond this. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to absorb a lot of information in a relatively small amount of time, and a relatively smaller budget that they are able to spend, however, is still willing to spend the time and effort into getting the most out of it as possible. -

I really like the way that Nucamp has sent up their courses. I enjoy the independence of studying while at the same time having the security of knowing that someone was there in case I have questions for concepts that I did not understand. Finishing the Bootstrap portion of the course was challenging, but at the same time, I feel like I have a stronger understanding of concepts and languages that were confusing in the past. My instructor was very knowledgeable and quickly answered any questions that I had. I would highly recommend Nucamp to anyone who is looking to learn programming, but requires flexibility due to a hectic schedule. -

I am working through the full stack bootcamp and so far it seems well worth the money. The instructors are knowledgeable and quickly respond to any questions. There is a lot to do on your own but help is there when you need it. I don't have any other bootcamps to compare nucamp too but I think it is worth the cost and time. -

Nucamp is an affordable coding bootcamp that is not overwhelmingly time-consuming. I think this bootcamp is a great option for those who are curious and willing enough to make 'deep-dives' into subject matters on their own, during and after the camp. The curriculum is current and high quality, but you are only going to learn the basics with fewer exercises than a full-time bootcamp, so you must be self-motivated to do more than just the given assignments. You cannot beat the price for the training and overall, I am enjoying it very much! -

I chose Nucamp because I wanted a more structured environment to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I had tried using free sites, but quickly got overwhelmed. My Nucamp instructor was great - she was knowledgable, professional, and encouraging. The course was challenging, but help was always available from my instructor, classmates, or others in the Nucamp Slack channel. The hands-on approach of coding challenges, assignment feedback, and weekly meetings was key for me to really understanding the material. I went from knowing virtually nothing about coding to being very comfortable with it in 4 short weeks! At such an affordable price, you really have nothing to lose. I highly recommend Nucamp! -
