My choice for joining Nucamp was due to the fact I was interested in the basics of coding.
I wanted to get familiar with HTML5, CSS3, and I wanted to learn more about JavaScript, and how it works.
I looked at other boot camps, and I decided to give Nucamp a try.
I looked over the website trying to find was it a good fit for me.
Honestly, the price and curriculum were right compared to other boot camps.
I had my doubts honestly speaking, but I Signed up jumped all in.
I followed the directions. I asked questions. It was like an adventure before you know it trying to get things done, watching videos, reading, coding interacting with classmates.
I started to see things take shape, and before you know it the videos, I had watched others do on YouTube I was now doing it in the comfort of my own home.
I have come a long way in coding.
I am better at researching now and executing code.
I have a better understanding of reading errors, and all the tools I need to code.
I have been given the opportunity to learn and I was able to afford the class.
I would highly recommend anyone who wants to learn how to code to give Nucamp a try.

I'm a professional tinkerer and have been learning some coding here and there. Always looking for the free or under $20 type courses. Been toying with the idea of enrolling in a coding bootcamp but that can easily put you 10-20k in debt before you get a job. I've read some income sharing agreements and those things can be scary. Now here comes Nucamp a single ad on Instagram that changed everything for me. I started looking into it and there more I searched the better it kept getting. Finally the only thing left to do was get started. My experience has been great. Great instructors, very helpful community. Content was explained really well and the weekly projects keep that pressure on so that you keep pushing yourself. If you're like me and still looking at reviews, they are true and it is a great experience. -

This was the best decision in my life! You are never too old to learn new skills.
The reason I went with Nucamp was:
1) the "Affordability" price per knowledge gained is very much worth it!
2) the "Flexibility" of the curriculum makes work/life/school more manageable for the
everyday 9 to 5 person.
3) the "NuCamp community" support through your journey is priceless!

I enrolled in Nucamp to gain new skills in web development. Nucamp was a great option. Very affordable, great instructors, and great lessons. To make the most out of it, you have to put in the work beyond the minimum, but it is worth it. I feel very confident moving forward and looking for employment in the future. The bootcamp was conducted online due to the pandemic, but I don't feel it suffered at all and I really enjoyed the Saturday workshops. If your skills in HTML, CSS, and/or Javascript are rusty, I would however, recommend the Web Development Fundamentals course first. I took it and I think it helped me be able to focus on to the more complicated topics much quicker than some of my cohorts. -

I chose NuCamp ultimately for the price and the time it took to complete the course. After reviewing what they teach; I knew it was the bootcamp that I was looking for. I haven't been a student in a very long time but this has been very enjoyable and with a mental adjustment and a ALL ABOARD mindset. I definitely feel that it is worth it. The course teachers give a perfect example of what to expect for real world application and on the the side offer their insight for placing jobs. -

I knew that I wanted to get into coding. I had done a lot on my own already. But I knew I needed more. After searching through tons of bootcamps with various tuition rates/agreements and time commitments, I thought I simply wouldn't be able to afford the time or the money right away. Finally I came across NuCamp. The courses were exactly what I was looking for as well as matching my schedule. I was able to get a scholarship and the payments were doable.
The instructors for each module are extremely knowledgeable about what they are teaching. Many have daily office hours and they all answer quickly via slack. I also enjoyed the ongoing network of individuals that you become apart of when you enroll. -

I chose Nucamp because it was affordable, but I guarantee you that this does NOT mean the education and knowledge provided to you is any less qualified. The instructors were all incredibly knowledgeable about the courses and very patient with teaching. They each took time to answer our questions and explain everything. Being able to attend online gave me the flexibility to keep my job while attending class. My classmates were invaluable to me. They supported be when I needed it, and I was able to do the same. Though it was online, I still felt connected to my classmates because of the zoom interactions. The instructor facilitated communication and teamwork when working through problems, which allowed us to not only bond to each other but also learn how developers communicate in the field. Having started my journey with Nucamp knowing nothing about coding, it is difficult for me to believe how much I have learned and how far I have come. Nucamp is truly incredible! I am excitedly stepping into the development world to begin the next chapter of my life, and I credit my knowledge and, hopefully, future success 100% to Nucamp and their team. Thank you for a future!! -

Excellent Experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested or just getting into coding. Overall wonderful learning environment and accountability for those, like me, that tend to start and then fall off later. Highly enjoyed and already enrolled in the Full Stack Bootcamp for the next part of my journey. -

I was referred to try out Nucamp by the Tech Manager who takes care of the Inn I work for. After a breif chat about his experience I thought that I would give it a shot. Being new to coding I started with Web Development Fundamentals, this course was fast paced but very do able. Nucamp provides plenty of resources and I was very happy with my instructor Zach, it is refreshing to be a part of a program that truly is molded around the "adult working lifestyle". Today I finished my last assignment for this beginning course and I feel that Nucamp has helped me form a good foundation to succeed while I further my education in programming.
Thanks Nucamp!

Nucamp is aN Excellent Option for Affordable Coding Instruction

I enrolled in Nucamp's Web Development Fundamentals course because I have been trying to teach myself how to code for years, but with no success. I finally decided that a bootcamp would take me to the next level, so I looked into some of the marquee names out there. The problem was that many of them were full-time and required me to stop working. That really wasn't an option for me. Plus, I didn't have tens of thousands of dollars to spend on a bootcamp, nor was an ISA right for my particular situation.
When I came upon Nucamp, I knew that they could work for me. I applied for and got financing, so I could start the Web Development Fundamentals course without paying anything at first. When it came to instruction, the instructors were competent and helpful. The Nucamp Slack channel is also full of former and current students and instructors who are always willing to help out when you have a coding issue. Even at 3am!
I would definitely recommend Nucamp to anyone who wants to learn web development without putting down tens of thousands of dollars to do so. As a result of my positive experience at Nucamp, I am going on to their Full Stack bootcamp. I am even considering doing their Back End bootcamp after that one. So as you can see, Nucamp worked for me. I think it can work for most people. Check out their online Open Houses. They hold them every week on their YouTube channel. There you can ask Ludo and Nucamp staff any questions you have. They are more than happy to answer them. -

Enrolling in Nucamp's Bootcamp is exactly what I needed to do to add to my skill set as a teacher. The Web Fundamentals course taught so much on coding that I have never learned before. I did have a learning curve but I welcomed the challenge as I have always been a problem solver. I took this course because I want to share my coding skills with my high school physics students. I hope that in learning how to code, I would be able to integrate it into my high school physics classroom. I would like my own students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the classroom through coding in Physics. -

A good option, but not for everyone

A software bootcamp isn't for everyone, but Nucamp is among the best for a number of reasons.
1. It's affordable, and easy for working adults as long as you make sure you have the time to study and do the lessons.
2. The instructors are knowledgeable and helpful when you hit the inevitable roadblocks and frustrations. Many of the instructors were once students like yourself, so they've been there.
3. Employers are frequently reaching out scouting for new graduates, and there are plenty of opportunities depending on where you live.
It is more structured than learning on your own, but less so than full time bootcamps which are also more expensive. You can think of this one as a sort of hybrid between the two. That means you need to be somewhat self-motivated and are able to remove any distractions that keep you from devoting the roughly 2-3 hours per day for study and project work. -

I enrolled in Nucamp because I want to start a career in web development. I chose Nucamp over other bootcamps because I find it affordable and it offers a flexible schedule. I love the fact that Nucamp is making learning to code available for everyone. It's such an important skill and can get so many people ahead in life. I really respect that. It's a great course too! Between the lessons and the side articles, I'm learning alot. It's also a very well organized online experience as they use slack to give students multiple ways to get help and to talk. It's the best online learning experience I've ever had. -

I decided to enroll in the Nucamp Web Fundamentals course for several reasons.
First of all, it is the most affordable yet high quality boot camp I could find.
Secondly it offered the most flexibility in terms of allowing me to study on my own time during the week. I work a lot of late hours and many other coding boot camps require attending live classes in the evenings and that would not work for me. I ended up doing my studying in the morning prior to work and then attended the Saturday morning workshops with time to finish up weekly assignments on Sunday. That ended up working out pretty well.
Thirdly, since Nucamp is set up as a part-time boot camp it did not interfere with my fulltime job and family obligations. It would not have been feasible or a good idea in my case to attend a fulltime boot camp. Also the part-time nature of it allows a student to absorb the material a little more slowly with more practice. I imagine retention of the material is improved that way.
Fourthly, Nucamp has a program helping graduates to be prepared for a successful job search once they complete the program. This is critically important due to the fact that breaking in and landing that first development job can be challenging when you have no real world experience. Being properly prepared to interview and demonstrate your skills to employers is something that deserves its own course in addition to getting some one on one guidance. Nucamp has all of that. To be clear though, I have yet to go through that course since that is available after completing the Full Stack or Front-end courses.
Overall, I was quite satisfied with my Nucamp experience and would certainly recommend it to others. This review was based on my experience in taking the 4 week Web Fundamentals course and I plan to continue on to the Nucamp Full Stack course starting next month. -

I enrolled in Nucamp Fullstack Bootcamp after reading the positive reviews and finding the course very affordable. I am so glad I did because the teaching process is tailored in such way that enough knowledge is provided on a weekly basis to allow for problem solving. The dedicated instructors are also very helpful and always available to answer questions. Keep in mind that this is a bootcamp which will be taxing of your free time depending on your level of knowledge and experience. But every week you will learning something new that will give you options for your career. -

I decided to enroll into Nucamp because I wanted to make a career change. I did some other coding class just to see what it was like, and I really enjoyed it, to my surprise. However, the course I took lacked the structure I needed, and I wanted to enroll in an actual class. I saw good reviews for Nucamp online, and for the price, I might as well check it out. I took the Web Dev Fundamentals course, and I am greatly surprised at the amount of information we learned in those 4 short weeks. Much more than the other class I had taken. It was all deeply informative. I went ahead and enrolled to the Full Stack course. If I had to recommend a bootcamp, I would definitely choose this one. -

I joined Nucamp as a result of an ad I saw on Facebook, because I have been recently searching for appropriate learning as it relates to Web Development and Javascript. Having subscribed to Codecademy earlier in the year and despite having full access (due to subscription) to their entire slate of learning streams, I found myself not terribly motivated to go thru the streams alone. This course from Nucamp which combines self study with interactivity and a dedicated instructor is the happy middle ground I personally need to learn, understand and keep up with the content on a weekly basis. I wouldn't hesitate for one second to do another stream with Nucamp or 2 or 3. I've found my Web Development learning home and I'm quite content to stick with it. An added bonus which is a negative for similarly offered bootcamps from other companies is the fact that the streams offerred by Nucamp are very inexpensive and affordable (not cheap) but achievable for those operating on a low income. Added to which they also offer very reasonable financing options which cost no additional interest. Awesome awesome job Nucamp, You have me for life.. -

The price and asynchronous self-paced lectures were the two main factors that lead me to choose Nucamp. I need the workshop for accountability and to create a real social deadline. This format works perfectly for my learning style. The Moodle "ladder" score triggered my competitive nature so I worked to get all the assignments in first, but the social small-group breakouts triggered my "help the team/keep up with the team" instincts. Support is everywhere - especially on Slack. But, amazingly, I didn't need too much help. I now feel really great about my knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, but what I really appreciate is the concepts of the Document Object Model and "Traversing the DOM". It all finally makes sense, and I can make it work! -

Nucamp was an affordable way to make a career change into coding. Its probably best if you try coding on your own first and then transition into nucamp. At the end of the day you gotta ignore the numbers of other programmers/developers and just run your own race. Try and find a way to GET IN the industry on your own terms. Keep in mind this review is for the 4 week intro camp so there was no job placement. I am planning on continuing on into the front end developer program in a few weeks. -

I enrolled in Nucamp to modernize my technical skills for reentry to the field of software development after a 20-year absence during which I acted under the mistaken assumption I would enjoy practicing law to an equal extent as I felt developing software. In the end, I found I was mistaken. If you are the kind of person who enjoys building things and exploring new technology, you are unlikely to find any pursuit which gives you the same satisfaction as you can achieve working as an engineer in a technical profession.
Prior to practicing law, I had the good fortune of being positioned to hire programmers for entry level jobs with an internet startup at which I was an original employee. With knowledge of the rigorous nature of Nucamp’s curriculum as well as my observation of the caliber of students who persevere to the program’s conclusion, I can say without hesitation I would have been more than willing to hire a Nucamp graduate for any entry level role.
Having also been fortunate enough to have completed a standard collegiate-level program in computer science, I am likewise positioned to indicate the innate technical acumen necessary for successful completion of Nucamp’s program is equal to or even greater than that necessary to complete a traditional four or six-year computer science program... the only difference being the shorter length of immersion which is counterbalanced by Nucamp's cutting edge and significantly more intense curriculum. Many computer science graduates, including myself, would find this coursework to be near the limit of their capabilities.
The undeniably reasonable cost of this program - when compared to similarly placed programming bootcamps – is strong evidence that those who founded Nucamp as well as those who work to make it happen, are undoubtedly in this business for all the right reasons. It has been my impression that those who give their professional time and/or careers to running this program do so as a labor of love. Nucamp’s administration and staff are capable engineers who devote their valuable time to training the next generation of programmers. A large percentage of the instructors come from a company which is perhaps the most consequential software development company in the history of computing.
I highly recommend this program to anyone who wants an intense, incredibly well priced and time-sensitive preparation for an industry which continues to be at the forefront of societal progress and employment opportunity.
Sincerely,
Chris Swanson, MS, JD -

I have always been interested in coding. It's something I've wanted to do for many years. Other bootcamps are prohibitively expensive and my stumbling block has been JavaScript. I've tried online learning on my own, but without an instructor to talk to during moments of getting stuck, I became frustrated and stopped.
NuCamp's lessons are given in small digestable chunks and while I still have a long way to go with JavaScript, it's no longer this huge scary THING that used to intimidate me! NuCamp just introduced a Python Course and I'm so excited to finish my current Full Stack course and enroll in that one!
If you're on the fence about NuCamp, jump over to the NuCamp side - you won't regret it! -

What drove me to enroll was my dedication to accomplishing a goal I had set a few years ago. I set a goal to be a web designer and web developer. I would give it a 1000% effort and nothing less than my best. After studying at a university and having been self-taught, the proof for me would be in my pudding. Finally, I stumbled upon my ingredients and tools here at NuCamp. I have completed my first course in the Full Stack Development Bootcamp, and I can say with absolute certainty, I made the right choice. There had been many questions I have had for some time now that caused doubt or uncertainty in my abilities as a developer. That is quickly being replaced with learning to understand and identify my strengths and weaknesses as I code independently and with a team. It will be a massive growing experience as I continue on my path with NuCamp. As I meet each challenge head-on, I am looking forward to making tons of mistakes, learning smarter, understanding deeper, growing stronger. Moving forward. -

I chose Nucamp because of the flexibility, instructor assistance, and affordability. I just completed the last week of Web Fundamentals and will be continuing on to Full Stack Web/Mobile Development. Though I've had an avid interest in technology and coding for some time, I actually was not actively seeking a bootcamp when I came across information about Nucamp. My search for bootcamps in the past few years did not turn up anything that completely aligned with my lifestyle. After reading over what Nucamp had to offer, I immediately jumped on the opportunity. During my time in Nucamp thus far, I have most enjoyed working on the projects and connecting with peers. I look forward to expanding my coding skills and knowledge further. -

I choose Nucamp after researching how the content was delivered to its students. I ultimately made the decision after realizing that the coursework was given via video instructions. As a visual/auditorial learning this means a lot to me. I've gone through another boot camp that was full of dry reading materials and it wasn't a very good experience. Nucamp changed my view on boot camps in a positive way and I actually signed up for the full-stack course after the 3rd week of the web development fundamentals course. -

I had a lot of fun during this bootcamp and learned so much. I have fallen in love with coding and will be continuing on to the Fullstack Bootcamp with Nucamp. I can't wait!! My instructor (Jeremiah Mark) was awesome as well; he was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions, even outside of class or 1-on-1.
