Awesome Experience
I have loved my time at Nucamp. I have learned a lot, it was the perfect scenario for me. Couldn't afford to take time off to do a traditional bootcamp and was able to work on my schedule but still had the accountability of Saturday Workshops to keep me on track. I highly recommend Nucamp if you want a flexible, affordable way to learn coding. -

I chose Nucamp because it was manageable with a full time work schedule, and I was able to complete a majority of of it during the winter months while my regular work schedule isn't too hectic. I enjoyed it enough that I would consider going back for the Python course next winter. In the meantime, I'll continue to practice what I've been taught and try to get a job as a developer. -

I recently enrolled in Nucamp Coding Bootcamp, and I'm pleased with my decision so far. One of the reasons I chose Nucamp was its affordability and flexibility, which allowed me to study while working. I have just completed the first section, which covered Bootstrap, and I'm excited to continue with the remaining sections.
Nucamp has lived up to its promises and provided everything they advertised. The course material is well-structured and comprehensive, catering to beginners like me. Even though I had no prior coding experience, I found the concepts easy to understand and apply.
The instructors at Nucamp are knowledgeable and do a great job of breaking down complex topics into manageable chunks. The video lectures are clear and paced well, making it easy to follow along and grasp the material. I appreciate how they focus on practical applications and provide coding exercises to reinforce what we learn.
The interactive learning approach at Nucamp is another standout feature. In addition to the video lectures, there are coding exercises and projects that give us hands-on practice. This helps solidify our understanding and build confidence in our coding abilities. The support system at Nucamp is excellent as well, with instructors readily available to answer questions and a community forum where we can connect with fellow students.
As I move forward with the bootcamp, I have high hopes that this training will help me take a step closer to entering the tech industry. The completion of the bootstrap section has already equipped me with valuable skills, and I'm eager to delve into the upcoming sections to broaden my knowledge even further.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Nucamp Coding Bootcamp to anyone seeking an affordable and flexible option for learning coding. The course delivers on its promises, providing comprehensive instruction, interactive learning experiences, and a supportive community. With Nucamp, I feel confident that I'm on the right path towards achieving my goals in the tech industry. -

Nucamp was an opportunity for me to change careers and still have the time to be a stay at home parent while I did it. The program is challenging enough to engage and learn a vast array of new skills and build a portfolio of projects enabling you to succeed. It is also well priced and there are financing options available. I did the full software engineering path which goes through the fundamentals of web development(HTML, CSS, JavaScript), Backend(Python, SQL, and DevOps), and Full-Stack Web and Mobile Development(Bootstrap, React, React Native, Node.js with Mongodb). I found the whole thing very gratifying and the instructors going out of their way to help students succeed. -

Nucamp is the best bootcamp! Good with time, Contents are great!, Instructors are perfect 10/10. This course boosted my knowledge in Python by a lot. I had a great time at the coding bootcamp I went to. The instructors were knowledgeable, understanding, and interesting, and the program was thoughtfully created. The bootcamp was especially well suited for those who were new to programming and wanted to learn the fundamentals of Python.
The bootcamp's system allowed me to learn at my own pace, which was one of the things I liked about it. I had plenty of chances to work independently and put what I had learned into practice, but the instructors were always accessible to answer questions and offer guidance. My comprehension of the subject matter was solidified by the program's well-balanced mix of lectures, practical exercises, and projects that were applicable in the real world.
Overall, for anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of Python, I strongly recommend this coding bootcamp. The program's design, the caliber of the training, and the atmosphere of community-building all contributed to an exceptionally good learning environment. This bootcamp is unquestionably worthwhile to look into, regardless of whether you are new to programming or simply want to broaden your skill set.

When I decided to enroll in a coding bootcamp, I did a lot of research to find the best program for me. I wanted a curriculum that was practical and hands-on, and that would provide me with the skills I needed to start a career in software development. That's why I ultimately chose Nucamp.
From the moment I started the program, I was impressed by the quality of the online materials and the expertise of the instructors. The curriculum was well-organized and easy to follow, and the instructors were always available to answer questions and provide guidance. Even though the program was part-time, I felt like I was making steady progress each week and was always excited to learn more.
One of the things that really stood out to me about Nucamp was the sense of community and support that I received. The peer-to-peer learning environment was great for collaboration and teamwork, and the weekly online meetups and coding challenges helped me stay motivated and engaged. I also appreciated the support that I received from the Nucamp staff, who were always willing to help with any issues that came up.
Now that I have completed the program, I feel much better in my coding abilities and am excited to continue my studies in software development. -

I have been out of school for over two decades and in the service industry. Looking for ways to change my career were all 5+ years of school and 30-80k in funds. Some wanted 20% of my salary after I got a job in the field. NuCamp to end up with the same certificates, and what we want is a foot in the door, costs 6k with all the bells and whistles. I feel that there is a community that will help me with whatever my needs in the future and in 6 months will have the same if not better hold of the job field when I am finished from instructors that are actively working currently and sharing this knowledge. -

After reviewing countless bootcamps out there, I decided to dive head first into Nucamp's Complete Software Engineering Path. It offers deferred payments for a year, the pricing is undeniably the best and fairest tuition rate I've come across, and their flexible schedule allowed me to work my 40+ hour job during the week.
I just completed the first sub-bootcamp (of the path I'm on) of Web Development Fundamentals and I'm so grateful to have made this choice. My instructor was amazing (Shout out to Mohamed), and the course content was decently paced. But if you miss a day or two of the daily recommendation of dedicated time to code, then you definitely feel it. Try to maintain your steady pace throughout the week to prevent burnout if you're working as much as me. The 4 hour lecture/workshop on the weekends were so helpful!
Obviously you're not going to become an expert just after these 4 weeks but I went in not knowing how to navigate HTML, CSS and Javascript at all and now, well, I feel comfortable with them, and they're not as intimidating as they once seemed. I can't wait to dive-in to the Backend, SQL, and DevOps with Python bootcamp in a couple weeks! -

I joined the Web Dev course because: 1) I wanted to learn how to code on a flexible schedule while still working, 2) I wanted to have live instruction/workshops, and 3) I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. I did have some previous knowledge of HTML/CSS before joining, but as someone who didn't have much experience in Javascript, it got pretty intense for me during Week 3-4. I think this course gives you a good "feel" into coding and that it's OK to use resources to deepen your knowledge. I appreciated the career advice too. The video recorded lessons were kinda bland and monotone -- so my hope is that they make these more engaging in the future. Overall, it's a great value for the price. I learned a lot and plan to hone in on my JS skills before I enroll in the next Full Stack bootcamp. -

The Responsive with Bootstrap course was phenomal. I learned a graet deal and reviewed even more when it came to Javascript. The instructor Vic was great and answered any and all of my questions. The pacing wasn't too fast or too slow. The information felt overwhleming at times but with Vic, my instructor, I was able to break it down into bite sized pieces of information and digest or understand it better. -

My experience with Nucamp has been mostly positive. Covering HTML and CSS in a weeks time felt a touch challenging, but not overwhelming. This began to change when we started covering JavaScript. I believe it was too much, too fast. With a bit more time, I'm confident I could get the hang of it, but time was a luxury I didn't have.
One particular point of frustration (perhaps a compliment?) was while their video lectures were up to date in regards to modern coding practices, most websites that were refered to for extra studing were using outdated practices. This was even an issue when looking up videos on YouTube!
That being said, I found the final JS project to be quite daunting....If you have a part-time job, retired, or a Type-A personality that can perfectly balance day job/ school/ life, I would highly recomend this course. Otherwise, I'd highly suggest one get a solid grasp of JS on their own before enrolling.

I recently finished the Bootstrap section of the Full Stack Mobile Bootcamp at Nucamp. The course explains Bootstrap 4 and has several exercises and assignments to foster the concepts. But as all boot camps go, most of the learning is by you, courses can tell only so much. I wish there were some resources as per the recent trends, but overall, I am very happy with the instructor and the content taught in 5 weeks -

I enrolled in NuCamp because I wanted to start my journey of becoming a software engineer. I previously had experience in Graphic Arts and I've always wanted to learn the back end of things of how everything works on the computer. I never thought I could actually learn it for the sake of difficulty. The HTML, CSS, and JS course has provided me with enough knowledge that I feel comfortable enough to continue to move forward in this career. David was an amazing and helpful instructor. The videos provided throughout the course I found to be a little dull because of the type of learner I am. It was a little difficult to follow along sometimes. -

What led me to enroll in Nucamp was a recommendation for a bootcamp from a friend that's been a programmer for decades, after trying out and not enjoying college and trade school for programming. I felt that I wasn't being set on a path to help in a career that I wanted to do. I would learn the basics of Python, JavaScript, and Java, and it took me into learning JavaScript with HTML and CSS for me to discover that I might really enjoy front end development.
I saw Nucamp having a front-end development course and felt that was direction I needed to take for myself. The course in itself is a lot of work, having to learn a whole bunch of new concepts and coding practices, new libraries and how they function, and exercises and challenges to help understand the course material. Every Saturday you meet with your instructor and go over the course with them, before doing a workshop assignment with your peers to help put what you learned to the test. The instructors are also very honest on what to expect in the field, and has given me a bunch of resources to help hone my skills even after finishing the bootcamp.
The work I've done from Nucamp has paid off. I was always interesting in coding, but I have never felt this confident like I do now with JavaScript. I really enjoy this type of work, and feel its a lot easier for me now to help figure out problems I may have with my code, because I now have a much clearer understanding of troubleshooting code and how to implement the features I would like. I have learned a lot with Nucamp, and although there's still so much for me to learn master, I believe I have fundamentals needed to get started in my career. -

Nucamp provided me with a unique opportunity to further my skills as a full-stack developer. The curriculum was challenging and kept me engaged, but the hands-on projects and supportive community made it a fun and fulfilling experience. Not only did I secure a certificate in fluency of Bootstrap as a result of completing the program, but I also gained confidence in my abilities and a solid foundation for future growth in the field. I highly recommend Nucamp for anyone looking to break into tech or upskill in web development. -

I have been doing alot of programming over the few years by myself. But I have no idea how good I am or if I'm lacking. I took this and quickly asked all my colleagues to join a team and got three or 4 to work with me and that has been the best part of the bootcamp for me. Just getting to work with others rather than just working by myself has been HUGE. Will definitely take again sometime soon! Nucamp is extremely affordable to the level that I could take their courses continuously. I am already a working in tech. I'm a manager, though so I don't do hands on coding myself anymore, so this is great to keep my skills up. -

I really enjoyed this course, I feel accomplished because I felt like a learned a lot of new ways of thinking while coding. Our professor was very knowledgeable and is very patient with everyone, including new people who just started programming. The course is very well explained and gives small details that help the learner understand what is happening. I would only recommend to add a little bit of more details/help for workshop #3. Other than that I'm very satisfied. Just know that your success depends on yourself and nothing more, material is there and is very helpful but If you need someone to be pushing to complete your assignments then I do not recommend this bootcamp for you. -

My sister is a coder for a major bank, and has been working for them since she graduated college. Given that she had no experience with coding, the company provided a bootcamp for her to learn the basics which really helped her excel in her career there. Fundamentals course not worth it

This is my first bootcamp and I am about to graduate from the fundamental course this week. I did lots of research on bootcamps and was always told that they were going to challenge you and that you have to invest lots of time into the course. I was able to complete the whole week's coursework with projects included in a single day. Each week you have a 4 hour live class where the instructor just walks through the week's project with you all the way through and then you turn in the assignment afterwards. I did have a basic understanding of HTML and CSS going into the course but I figured we would do more with HTML and CSS than the bare minimum. There isn't much of a challenge and I am glad I decided to take the fundamental course instead of doing the full path as I feel like I wasted my money.
I have no idea if the other courses are great and challenging but I can't take a chance of wasting a lot of money on a course that is basically one of the self-paced, free bootcamps you find on the internet. The instructor was amazing and was always willing to help students that were having issues. If it wasn't for the instructor I would have rated the bootcamp course a 1 or 2. The videos are so dry and the narrator will put you to sleep so I decided to just go and read the JS documentation instead and basically do my own research on topics and even make my own spin on the assignments to challenge myself. The instructor was great and didn't fail me on assignments for not just completely the assignments with the very basic requirements that we were given and actually liked us to go above and beyond.
TLDR;
If you know the basics of HTML and CSS and just need to learn Javascript, I would just skip this class. Maybe try their front-end class and see if that was challenging for you. Coursework is very basic and you can complete a week's work in one afternoon and the class is setup to hold your hand and not challenge you like bootcamps are meant to do from what I have read. I might look at another bootcamp to do Full-Stack tracks as I am unsure Nucamp's other courses can offer a quality I would like based on what I saw in this fundamental course.Stephanie of Nucamp

Hi Jacob, thank you for your review.
We would agree with you that the 4-week introduction to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript bootcamp is tailored for beginners and that more advanced learners like you may go thru it much faster than intended.
I hope that the last two weeks of JavaScript gave you a challenge though and that you enjoyed these assignments.
I'm glad you found our instructors amazing, and I wish you good luck in the future, hopefully with us! -

Nucamp is incredible. I had begun learning to code myself, and after completing a Javascript course, I knew I wanted a little more help in filling in the gaps.
While there aren't extreme deadlines and intensive assessments that might fail you out, like other bootcamps, Nucamp is perfect for balancing anything else one has going on, and learning to program.
I feel I have the ability to go out into the tech world and truly do well. The instructors are amazing and helpful, especially if you put in your due diligence to understand content as well. I personally didn't need to be terrified of failing out in order to learn to code, I just needed resources and a few deadlines, and I loved it!
I stand behind any bootcamp that gives this type of access to learning to code. Bravo to Nucamp! -

Python course review

Based on the first five-week course, Python Fundamentals, I want to share my experience with the Nucamp Back End, SQL, and DevOps with Python Bootcamp.
I like Nucamp because the founder, Ludo, is transparent about the program. In his love weekly YouTube show, Campfire, he mentioned that students would have to supplement using this program.
He says there are better and free curriculums, but the main reason for choosing Nucamp is the weekend 4-hour live workshop. He talks about how people rarely finish these programs. I've started a few and haven't finished, so I relate.
So, going into the program, I knew it wouldn't have the best curriculum.
So, why choose Nucamp?
I chose Nucamp because it's affordable. When I signed up, it was five payments of $385 with the early bird discount.
Also, the workshop provides the accountability I need. Since I will meet with my cohort on the weekend, I will complete everything on time, so I won't be behind.
The first couple of weeks were not smooth sailing. As I got used to the assignments, I learned that I needed to be able to write what my code was doing in paragraph form.
Explaining it in words helped me learn all of the proper terminologies for Python. The weekend workshop assignment always explained what to do using Python terminology, so I would waste lots of time figuring out what I was being asked to do.
That struggle helped me see that I wasn't learning the concepts. So, I started adding comments to the exercises in my code files, explaining definitions of things and why I'm doing what I'm doing.
As I mentioned, Nucamp lessons will ask you to seek outside sources to learn each lesson.
Some resources I use are Code With Mosh, Python for Everybody, and Udacity's free Intro to Python course.
Nucamp asks for feedback on the teacher and the curriculum every week. Feedback is shared with the teacher, and it's supposed to be anonymous.
My teacher adjusted his approach to the class after receiving feedback. He ensured we knew he wanted us to ask questions if we needed to. My overall impression of Nucamp is that it is responsive to feedback.
They update their curriculum more often than some of the other boot camps I considered. And, since it's affordable, if I decide I don't want to work with Python or SQL in the future, I won't feel like I wasted money by trying it.
To recap, I chose Nucamp because it is affordable, offers live help in the weekend workshops or help by chat on Slack, and offers structured learning and accountability.
Since outstanding curricula are available online for free, you don't need a boot camp to learn code. I chose this route for support and accountability, but many choose to learn independently. -

This review was required as part of the curriculum. This bootcamp is affordable and flexible. It was the right choice for me as I have a Full time job and cannot attend an in person bootcamp five days a week. Do not expect to learn everything from the bootcamp. My recommendation for anyone who is applying is to utilize outside resources beforehand. Classes move fast and you need to be able to keep up. I took a few udemy classes before this and got a few books on python which really helped. I'm not sure I would have made it otherwise. For the price this bootcamp is well worth the money.
