Left a job of 29 years. Wanted to start a new career. Just over 1 month in, and have enjoyed learning, and hope at the end of the 16 weeks I'll be ready to start interviews. The weekly material is easy to get through in the recommended time. This allows for additional research and study from different places. You must do this to delve deeper into the material. -

Amazing experience !
I enrolled in Nucamp because I wanted to polish my technical skills. Super excited I did. The course is structured in a way that you get to learn at your own pace. The instructors are knowledgeable and have industry experience. I highly recommend Nucamp to anyone wanting to upskill and move into a software engineering role. -

I wanted to take a glimpse of how the coding world looked like, while still having my full-time job. The web development fundamentals course did exactly that. I got to see an understand on how the website is brought to life. I loved how fixable the program is, I got to login whenever I had the spare time such as my lunch break or whenever ever I could log on an get my schoolwork done. The discore chat was a big blessing in disguise, that is where we can chat with other students facing the same problem we were having while coding -

Great intro course
I had seen reviews over a period of time while skimming through online learning options for various computer-related jobs. I have no IT, programming, or website development experience. I'm just a proficient laptop/internet user. The 4-week basic course was well done. It requires time to study, learn new terminology, and pay attention to details. -

Very good
Overall, the 4 week HTML, CSS and JavaScript boot camp is excellent as an introduction. I learnt a lot and got to make several projects. It is worth the money for sure. The material is presented professionally in a very digestible way. But it is just an intro, so it is not enough to start a career. -

I recently completed a 4-week HTML, CSS, JavaScript course and I must say, it was a great learning experience. The course was delivered online, but what made it stand out was the fact that it was part of a cohort and included live classes on the weekends. This added a new dimension to the online learning experience and made it much better.
The course covered all the essentials of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and was taught by experienced instructors who were always available to answer any questions and provide additional support. The material was well-organized and easy to understand, and the assignments and projects provided hands-on experience with the concepts learned in the lessons.
One of the best things about the course was the opportunity to learn and collaborate with a group of peers. The live classes on the weekends allowed us to interact with each other and with the instructors, which helped us build a sense of community and stay motivated. The discussions and group projects were also very helpful in reinforcing the material and providing a deeper understanding of the technologies.
Overall, I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The combination of online learning and live classes made it an enjoyable and effective way to learn, and the cohort structure was a huge benefit in terms of motivation and community building. I feel confident in my newfound skills and am excited to continue building on what I've learned in this course. -

Enjoyed my Nucamp experience

After looking at a few options, I decided to go with Nucamp. For me the choice came down to bang for the buck. Nucamp is very affordable and I felt offered similar learning opportunities as other programs that were significantly more expensive.
Having now completed the Front End bootcamp, I would say that I'm pleased with my decision. Nucamp provides a challenging curriculum with knowledgeable instructors that work within their field. The instructors not only go over the material but also try to infuse real-world insights into the instruction.
After completing the final course of the Full Stack bootcamp, I look forward to applying my skills in either web or app development for a growing company as well as continuing on with some personal projects that I have in mind. -

Amazed at How Far I've Come!

I was looking for a career change after spending 10 years in a dead-end job. The previous year, I had started tinkering with JavaScript as a possible avenue to pursue, but the Udemy course I had purchased didn't have the structure, deadlines, or human interaction I felt I needed.
I spent about a week researching different bootcamp options. I didn't know enough about my prospects as a coder to justify spending tens of thousands of dollars on classes; I needed something that would be affordable, flexible, and fast. If I didn't like coding after 5 months, then I'd know to explore other options.
I am four months in, about to graduate from the Front-End Development track, with the last Full-Stack course starting in a week, and I could not be happier with my decision to enroll in Nucamp. The instructors have all been incredibly personable and knowledgeable. The staff has been helpful and quick to respond to questions. And the students are people like me looking to learn and work together.
Full disclosure; this course is NOT for the faint of heart. I have been busy. Every week feels like a finals week. It's a lot of knowledge that is well structured, explained, and demonstrated through the use of videos, documentation, and once-a-week virtual meet-ups, but it’s a lot of knowledge regardless. You need to be in a place where you’re willing to learn and put in the work if you want to get the most out of your Nucamp experience. I am amazed at how far I’ve come in such a short time under the guidance of Nucamp’s Full-Stack course, and I can’t wait to start putting their included job-hunting course to work for me! -

I enrolled in Nucamp ,because I wanted to explore a new industry that I might want to transition too. I am glad I chose Nucamp because of its low cost and the instructors were great. I am still unsure if this is a skill I can use in a real work setting yet. So the low cost really helps in that area. Plus, the flexibility of the assignments helped a ton, while trying to continue my regular life. -

NuCamp: Best Value!

I signed up for NuCamp because of the price mainly. At less than $3000, it seemed like an opportunity I had to take over the typical $13,000 bootcamps. The website looked legit and really well-made, but I had my apprehensions.
However, the lessons are great and the instructors are even better. It's perfect for people who are working and trying to learn coding in their spare time, because the flipped-classroom model allows for self-paced learning. The lessons are very well though-out and include excellent exercises and additional resources.
I'm very happy with my choice. NuCamp is an incredible value, and by the end of it I'm certain I'll be able to find a good-paying job in tech. -

Coding experience in Python

My name is Dipendra KC. I came to United States in 2019. Since then, I was looking for IT certificate from long time but could not fix what course to take and when to take. Then one day, I saw an advertisement of Nucamp in google search. I had several options from where I select Nucamp. I don't feel any regret taking this course because after taking Python bootcamp for almost a month, I feel confident in Python. I was not sure how it would be and how they will teach. But after joining the Nucamp Bootcamp, it clear my every doubt. The course design of Nucamp; every week, new topics, sufficient exercise, quiz and code challenge makes more interesting and effective. Our Python tutor Ryan seems to have sufficient knowledge in Python. He is very helpful, not only during the week days but also during holidays, easy to teach and we could get feedback instantly. In addition to this, I like the way class get divided into small group so that we can interact with each other, teach and learn. I found every fellow friend to be friendly and helpful. After the completion of this course, I am planning to take Web Development Fundamental. -

I initially enrolled into a Nucamp after watching a YouTube video of students reviewing their experience. I ended up watching an interview done with the creator of NuCamp and really liked his responses, so I decided to look into the course curriculum as well as pricing. The pricing really sold me since this course involved LIVE sessions each week and a coding project submitted to eventually display to employers. So far the instructor Ryan has taught us Python and this is the furthest I have gotten with coding honestly. He was really helpful in explaining what type of roles we may qualify for upon completion and how to display work to potential employers. I am trying to shift my career from IT support into Data Analysis or Data Science role upon completion of this course. -

I enrolled in Nucamp after seeing someone I know go from minimum wage to making a starting salary of $70k after taking the fullstack course. I think it was the right decision and I learned some fundamentals that would have been difficult to research on my own. Now I feel equipped to continue learning and diving deeper into building my own projects. I think I still need some supplemental learning before I start working in the field, but this was a solid start and I'm much closer to having the life I want than I was six months ago. -

It was Great!
Great course, helpful instructors and good coursework! I took the intro to web dev class and finished it feeling very satisfied and eager to continue my programming venture! I just wish the answers to the bonus challenges were posted somewhere. I plan on taking the back end dev class as well!

What brought me to Nucamp was the flexibility and the affordability. Any question from the time I hadn't signed up yet till now, (4 weeks in) has been answered in a timely manner and everyone who pointed me in the right direction was professional and respectful. The reason why I would recommend this school to anyone is because the instructors make the lectures and assignments clear to understand and following along is actually do-able within the week. I appreciate how well thought out this program is. I know I made the right decision joining Nucamp. I signed up for the full stack 11 month program and I plan to stay the course after seeing how the first month turned out.
The lessons were videos, there were plenty of recourses provided pointing students in the right direction to answer the challenge questions provided. Which was fun because I was learning tons while researching and not going into rabbit holes! Another thing I was happy about and made my learning fun was the powerpoint slides that really helped a lot to use as quick references. A new experience for me was using codepen and at first I didn't understand it but after using it and forking the challenges in there. I had a lot of fun and see it's worth using it. Also, the solutions on some of the more complex challenge questions were helpful because I didn't feel stuck for long.
I appreciate my instructor keeping in touch throughout the week and checking in on us for questions. He was very helpful in the Saturday meetings because he broke things down to where I could understand it and see it. What I thought was really cool was that when anyone would ask a question, he was patient in answering and didn't judge or make student feel silly for asking. He had clear powerpoint presentations and also gave clear directions of what should be expected. I think the program is amazing because it allows the instructor to give feedback on our assignments we submit and I feel like that's really important so I learn from my mistakes and grow from them. Something else that was cool was that once we submit our assignments, we can learn from other student's code. That is really cool and motivating to code and learn.
Other pros are that I applied through ascent which made my student loan experience easy. I applied for a scholarship and Nucamp also offers bonus discounts which I find wonderful. Key words, The lessons were all in a good sequence and not scattered. The videos were short and easy to code along with.
I have very little coding background and I learned so much in this month alone. I am looking forward to the rest of the year and learn as much as I can and to code as much as possible with what I have learned and will be learning. For how well structured this program is, the CEO and the instructors really care about the students moving forward in the coding world. Thank you Nucamp for having such a great program!

I found Nucamp just browsing thru a Google search, looking for someway to learn how become a Software Engineer or Web Developer.

It was awesome. It was a good amount of work but you set your own schedule, so you can make it work with a full time job. A lot of people in the bootcamp had one. Also fit for all learning levels. I had coding experience but those who didn't were crushing it.
The exercises were good and easy to follow along with. It allowed me to have enough code for a portolio. Also, dope they give discounts for women and other groups to attend their bootcamp. Lastly, the instructors were highly knowledgeable and approachable. I would reccomend to a friend. I hope to land a good junior web dev job or internship from this. -

What led me to enroll into nucamp was that i wanted to get a better career for myself. I am completely new to the tech world and i did alot of research on which online bootcamp would fit my life style since i am an esthetician so my schedule can be busy at times. When i finally bfound Nucamp it was the perfect fit for me. Being able to go at my own pace with my schedule worked out perfect for me. What i aspire to achieve after this bootcamp is to be able to get a mainland remote job where im able to work from home more. Since the tech industry is completely new to me and it is a bit of a challenge. I can wait to finish this boot camp and see what the future holds. I highly recommend this bootcamp for people who work alot and need a boot camp that fit around there scheule. -

Nucamp was a great learning experience for me. I went in nervous about React and ended up loving it! The instructors are amazing to work with and go the extra step to help understand. Now that close to graduation I will be seeking employment in the React or React Native field. Thanks Nucamp for the career change boost I needed! -

NuCamp is Great!
NuCamp is great! Having a dedicated instructor far surpasses learning on your own. The information is thourough, and I feel that I have learned more with NuCamp in a small amount of time, than I could of on my own. Highly recommended. So far I have been learning backend programming, and I look forward to learning more! -

Great program, instructors and price!
I chose Nucamp because of the cost and the ability to do the class on-demand. I work full time throughout the week and am a new father to a 9 month old...therefore, my available time each day is never in a set window.
I really enjoy the format and instructors from Nucamp and would highly recommend checking them out if you are interested in getting into software development. -

So far, my Nucamp experience had been great although I had only completed the web fundamentals bootcamp so far. The video lectures that helped us gain more knowledge were great, everything was explained clearly in terms of what we had to learn. Our instructor professor Gagnon was an excellent teacher, he would devise his own code examples to illustrate how the code we had learned from that week actually work during the Saturday lectures. He also provided us lot of great helpful additional resources beyond what the course covers. Also, it was easy to reach out to him for help if we were stumped with any portion of our code. Regarding the coding exercises, some of them were a bit difficult since we may not fully understand parts of the code also there were some incorporated codes that we weren't too familiar with since we hadn't learned them yet. So far, we just followed alone step by step. Nevertheless, it is good to have these coding exercises given to us for extra future practice after completion of this web fundamentals bootcamp. -

Just finished The Web Development Fundamentals - HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, for beginners. I have taken these in various forms from Pluralsight, Udemy, etc. The course contains just the right amount to get the basic understanding in manageable chunks. Provides additional resources if you want to dig deeper. The live video class provides a great overview of the week's work to help cement the learning and ask any questions. Accountability is a great motivator. Highly recommend. Onto the NuCamp Back End Dev Ops for me. -

Nucamp is really inexpensive compared to all the other bootcamps I looked into and because I have literally no prior experience in coding the HTML and CSS portions were really detailed and helpful but for the JavaScript portion I fell behind really quickly and became overwhelmed because they didn't go into great detail about all the new words and skills they were addressing. I felt totally discouraged by a lot of the Javascript videos. The instructor (Roger), however was incredible helpful and patient and made the money worth it. He spent extra time with each student and though he couldn't help me with everything (because there were several struggling students), he was really great! Overall, I think Nucamp needs to provide the following for future students:- Glossary for each chapter
- Options for purchasing a text book
- A coding for Kids or dummies guide
- A text book that will be provided to students a few weeks before the course starts so that they may review it a bit
- A form with the office hours for each instructor
- List of other instructors to reach out to if your instructor is not available
- Exercises and resources to look at in between courses
- In between the beginner course and the front end courses there is a 3-week gap, which is plenty of time to forget everything you learned

Nucamp was definitely the right choice. From what I can tell, it has all the features that the more pricey camps have, but at a reasonable, and I would add, more attainable price. You learn current material and a very relevant stack. I am very glad I did it. I definitely want to attempt to enter the field of programming after I am done. This is a great way to make a career change. -

After doing some research on html, CSS and javaScript on google, I found Nucamp to be the best program to meet my needs. I will continue to practice the materials I learned in class for a couple of months then go on to a full stack class. I would like to have the time to truly understand the materials presented before taking the full stack class.
After completing the bootcamps, I intend to find work as a freelance full stack developer. -

So far, I have completed the Web Development Fundamentals course by Nucamp, which covers basic HTML, CSS, and then an introduction to JavaScript. It's just 4 weeks and spends roughly the first 2 weeks on HTML/CSS and the second 2 weeks on JavaScript. I plan on continuing to take their series of courses for the full software engineering bootcamp path experience (Dev Fundamentals, Back-end, Full-stack, and a Job Hunting course). I felt that it was a great structure for an intro development bootcamp/course, with videos, exercises, challenges, Slack engagement, and an instructor you can contact during the week and who teaches the class over Zoom for 4 hours every Saturday during the course. It allows great schedule flexibility especially if you're working during the week. I felt a good combination of flexibility, while still having structure and having actual live instruction. It is actually around the same price to do the full bootcamp (4 courses in a row I listed, about $5400 if you pay as you go for all of them together) as it is to do a similar full-stack web development course I had previously considered - that does not have live instruction. The live instruction is invaluable to me so I went with Nucamp and so far I'm glad I did! My instructor for Fundamentals, Madeline Ward, was great. She made the material interesting and engaged with students on a human level. While you could absolutely teach yourself these topics with free materials on the Internet, that goes for any bootcamp or paid course in web development, but you should seriously consider Nucamp if you need a less-expensive-than-most bootcamp with guided instruction for accountability. -

Nucamp: Great Experience, Excellent Price Point!

Nucamp Review:
When I was researching bootcamps, I narrowed down my search by focusing on the three items that were most important to me:
1. Cost: was it affordable for me without going into a huge amount of debt
2. Curriculum: were the technologies being offered conducive to my career goals; were they up-to-date and would they make me more marketable in the end
3. Community Reviews: what are other people saying about the bootcamp, curriculum, instructors, their overall experience and expected outcome
Once I decided on what was most important to me, I narrowed my selection down to three bootcamps. I then referred back to my list of the three important questions above, compared my findings and made my decision.
I decided to enroll into the Complete Software Engineering Bootcamp Path offered by Nucamp. The first of four segments is Web Development Fundamentals: HTML, CSS JavaScript.
Pros: The Nucamp staff is extremely helpful, professional and timely in their responses. There are several different scholarships offered and the process to apply is rather simplistic. The weekly lessons are clear and concise, and are led by a professional in the industry.
Cons: There is minimal instructor interaction during the week. Students must be ready and willing to work independently and rely heavily on supplemental resources, all of which are provided within each of the lesson tutorials.
Overall:
The tuition costs are extremely competitive, especially in relation to the amount of content contained and offered within the curriculum. The Nucamp community seem to really enjoy their experience, are content with the new skills they have learned, and are happy with the outcome they achieved.
While all bootcamps are going to have some negatives reviews, this particular bootcamp seems to be viewed in a positive light by the majority. I agree with the majority and look forward to the next segment of my bootcamp path.
Note: I am marked the job assistance as "not applicable". This is simply because I haven't reached that point in my program. However, there is a four-week segment at the end end of the program that is designed specifically to this topic. Once I complete this final segment, I will update my review accordingly. -

Nucamp has been a great introduction back into the world of coding after 10 years. I took some coding classes in college many moons ago, and have not coded in about 10 years. So I started with Web Development Fundamentals to get back into it. I think that was the right choice, and I think that Nucamp was the right choice for me. The structure of the program works well with my busy work/life schedule, and makes it very manageable with the expected time dedication and the course content. The instructor for my course was very helpful and knowledgeable, and the weekly content was broken up into very digestible chunks throughout the week. I hope to continue my success in this program as I continue into the Back End program and then onward to the Full Stack, and hope to be among the many to land a Software Engineering position after completion.
I highly recommend Nucamp for anyone that has a full schedule like myself. Or anyone for that matter, since I feel that anyone can do this and succeed with how they structure their program. Very well done Nucamp.
