I chose Nucamp because it was extremely affordable when compared to the cost of other bootcamps. And having an instructor to assist at all stages of the course was truly the best part of the Nucamp experience. The course was great to learn the fundamentals and instructors were amazing. “Very flexible and affordable.” I like the combined learning of task in the one day workshop, able to learn and get more knowledge about coding through this camp.

I wanted to learn html, css and javascript while also being able to manage school and work. I did a lot of research and found Nucamp, it was an affordable price with just the right amount of work for me to manage everything. I previously tried learning these things on my own but was never encouraged to actually learn it all as I was in Nucamp since we have weekly online meetings to discuss the previous week and to allocate time to do that week's assignment. Nucamp has taught me a lot and made me realize that I actually enjoy web development! In the future, I plan to move on to the front end and fullstack bootcamps on Nucamp.

I liked how affordable NuCamp is and how it is geared towards working professionals, as I do not have time to join a full-time bootcamp. NuCamp is the perfect balance, for work and after work learning.

NuCamp is the Best
Everything during the Bootstrap course was perfect. The online classes help you to learn at your own pace and let you manage your time according to your necessities. Any doubt you have during the week can be really well solved during the face-to-face workshop and your skills can be developed to their limit. I really recommend Nucamp.

I have attempted online courses in the past from a variety of companies and recognize that I am most motivated when accountable to deadlines and a class setting. I chose Nucamp because it is an affordable next step from those online courses. It has been a long time since I have been in a class setting and I was not sure I would be able to commit to regular in-person classes. This course was perfect for my situation.
Nucamp is great because it combines online instructions, online resources, and in-person support. I have many more hours of coding to go before proficiency, but this course gave me a framework for improving.

The Price of NuCamp is very affordable and you don't feel any pressure when doing the assignments. The Benefit of NuCamp is you can do the work on your schedule and only have to attend a class once a week.

I chose Nucamp because of cost and the ability to work at home online to complete the course. It was a great experience and stepping stone into the Web Fundamentals and prepped me for the Fullstack course. It was challenging but not overwhelming. Gaining new resources like Slack, Git/GitHub and W3 Schools are just some of the tools I was exposed to. I'm completely satisfied with my choice.

I chose Nucamp because it fits within my schedule, and combines a flipped classroom style of learn on your own time, and then meet to discuss and troubleshoot. The accountability and due dates means we are always pushing. There's also a lot of instructors/students who are working together to help you go farther/faster compared to self-learning - thanks to Slack. I'm always excited to meet my classmates and I every single day, I'm improving in my skill as a developer.

I chose Nucamp's Intro to HTML, CSS, and Javascript course and just finished up. It's only a month long, really affordable and I definitely recommend it. It's not hard, the videos throughout the week really go in depth at explaining every topic well. I think it's the perfect class to make sure you understand how these three languages interact with each other on a basic level while not being too hard for people brand new to these concepts. It was perfect for me as I learned more than I'd previously known about how to interact with elements via JavaScript.
I work two jobs and don't have a lot of spare cash, so this course is perfect for me with flexibility throughout the week and only relying on Saturday mornings. I'm already signed up to pursue the Full Stack Web and Mobile Course knowing that I'm going to have a good time learning these concepts.

The availability to get help from all sources: instructor, peers as well as online; provided me with a better sense of the working environment of computer programming. Especially important since just online sources lead me into a stagnant cycle of learning.

I chose Nucamp because it was affordable, offered structured courses, and generated discipline to code. Over time, I went from someone who had very limited experience in HTML/CSS/JS to debugging our mobile app using an Android emulator and helping others write complex JavaScript code. This took about three months. Coding, like most work, is what you make of it. Nucamp helped to facilitate my desire for a greater career, and something I'm genuinely passionate about, and get me moving in the right direction to make radical life changes. I have already recommended this course to a few other people and I hope they sign up - it's so exciting!

I am only rating the Web Fundamentals course. Great atmosphere, great community, and great teacher. I think looking for your own resources is a must while doing this course. There is so much to get familiar with when you are beginner! Nucamp gives you the will and courage to push and want more. It also gives you the basics and a little more to have solid foundations and confidence you need to pursue! I will be following their Front End & Mobile course for sure! -

The thing I liked the most about Nucamp is that it is very affordable! They also have a very knowledgable team that goes above and beyond to help the students. The cons of taking any coding Bootcamp, in general, are that you will have A LOT to learn in a short amount of time and will come across many terms that wont make any sense. But don't be discouraged! because one of the benefits of it is that you are exposed to so many technologies and tools that will be really beneficial. I feel like iv grown so much in a short amount of time and will continue to grow after completing the Nucamp courses.

I chose Nucamp school because of two reasons: (1) convenient location; (2) low cost. The responsiveness, commitment and flexibility of instructors (as well as other Nucamp staff) toward to students are so special that I never experienced before in any other institutions I have known. I'm really enlightened by studying software development in this school and every workshop becomes like a holiday vacation for me after long hours of work.

Affordable Coding Bootcamp

I chose Nucamp as my coding bootcamp because I was looking for something affordable and flexible. Since I work full-time, traditional full-time bootcamps were not an option for me, which is why Nucamp is a perfect fit. I also appreciate that Nucamp offers a flexible option for non-Americans, as it would have been very difficult for me to keep up with fixed schedules given my work commitments.
I enrolled in the bootcamp because I wanted to fill gaps in my knowledge. I had already been programming before, but there were certain things I was missing. Nucamp helped me fill exactly those gaps.
I am glad that this bootcamp exists and would recommend it to anyone in a similar situation. The only thing I would change: the course should be updated more often. Also the website explanation could be better for the flex version of the course. -

I had been searching for a course on python for a while. Free courses are cool but i needed a little more guidance and Nucamp was great. The price and payment plan is good. Wish the down payment was just a touch lower but its good for my needs. Definitely works the brain and makes you think. The video instruction and Astro help allot and are also good. Teachers are helpful and the opportunity to work with other students is cool. I look forward to learnning more. Definitely a good start. -

Cheap and good for self paced learning, but I expected more even for the low price
Read more Read less of Dom Brenner's review
I needed structure in my life and a bootcamp seemed like a good idea. The cost was high enough that I couldn't just ignore it, but reasonable compared to other bootcamps.
The curriculum is well thought out and the video lessons are well paced. That's genuinely the strongest part of the course.
However, there are real issues. The biggest one is the lack of practice and repetition. You are held by the hand a lot and rarely have to figure things out yourself. Even having finished the Python and SQL course, it still feels like I barely know anything. Some of that is probably imposter syndrome, but a lot of it is that the course simply doesn't challenge you enough or make concepts stick through repetition. Week 2 SQL was the exception, the assignment was genuinely difficult and that's exactly what more of the course should feel like.
Tutor availability was also a problem. Replies were slow, sometimes taking long enough that momentum was lost. When they did respond, it rarely felt like they wanted to help. More like they were reluctant and you had to push to get anything useful out of them. There was also a habit of pushing for quick calls instead of just answering the question in writing, which felt like they hadn't bothered reading it properly and just wanted to talk it out because it was less effort on their end. They did always answer eventually, but the overall experience felt more like an inconvenience to them than part of the service you were paying for.
Week 4 felt like filler. Data visualisation has little to do with backend development, and the assignment reflected that, being the easiest of the four weeks. More advanced SQL practice would have been far more valuable.
The Flex vs live class setup was confusing at signup. I expected live classes and ended up in self-paced without fully understanding the difference until I was already enrolled.
Billing is inflexible. It locks to your original signup date and cannot be changed. If you're late on a payment, access gets blocked immediately. This was a recurring issue for me.
Price-wise it's fair for a bootcamp, but if you're not planning to attend live classes, a Udemy course would likely serve you just as well at a fraction of the cost. -

I had been looking for a bootcamp, course, or class to help me learn to become a full-stack developer. I am currently a front-end developer but lacked confidence and direction. After I conducted some research into bootcamps and schools, my final decision would be based on 2 things I was looking for:- Learning relevant and up to date code
- A program that can help me elevate my coding skills and understanding of code.
After reading countless reviews from students and companies, I chose Nucamp.
My overall experience at Nucamp is a positive one. I have had many "aha!" moments because of the program's strong curriculum, and I feel that the pace they move through the material is just right.
What confirmed I made the right choice, however, was the feedback from my instructor, Tien. It was thorough and fairly strict. I was surprised to find out he actually read my code and thought about ways to help me grow. It wasn't just a "good code" or "great job," comment, no. He mentioned various parts of my code, what he liked, and some things I did well. He followed up with things I didn't do so well and, if I was up for the challenge, some things I could work on to really make my work shine.
That is the type of attention to detail that is missing from many other bootcamps, programs, or classes. These instructors actually show they care and want to see us thrive.
Because of this experience, I definitely have a lot more confidence in myself and my skills, and I'm barely 6 weeks in. I'm definitely looking forward to what's to come. -

I chose Nucamp because it seems to be a good value for its price. The price is very reasonable compared to many other bootcamps. I was afraid that I wouldn't learn enough material in the given amount of time for each section of the Web Dev Fundamentals course. Each section is short, but it forces you to build bridges and fill in gaps with outside learning. I really enjoyed my course. And I feel like it's a solid choice for anyone who has time/budget constraints. If you're willing to do the extra work on your own, then it is a good fit. -

I read a few reviews on some forums and drew the conclusion that Nucamp was affordable. I have attended a much more expensive Full Stack bootcamp and withdrew due to the price and time limit of the course. This course was much more self-paced though the investment was still enough to motivate me to complete everything on time. My favorite instructor by far was Naasir Bush! Naasir was attentive and very enthusiastic about teaching. I recommend this boot camp for anyone who needs the extra motivation and has a few hours a week to dedicate to assignments plus 4 hours one day a weekend for classes! -

Taking coding courses at a college didn’t make me feel like I could actually code by the end of class. I spent too much time worrying about things like writing papers and making sure they followed formats like MLA. At Nucamp, it’s all about the code—just pure, hands-on coding. You actually learn how to apply the skills, which feels amazing. I’m hoping to work as a fully remote web developer in the near future—front end, back end, or full stack. -

As a person in her late 40s, I have been pondering a career change into CS for over a year. I researched bootcamps that were local, national, university based, non-university based, etc. As soon as I expressed interest, an advisor reached out to me and I found him (Dean) to be warm, welcoming, and helpful. NuCamp offered the quickest schedule and that appealled to me since I am looking for a new career. The price was also the most reasonable and they offer the career advice and support I was looking for. Have LOVED my class and this first course. HIGHLY recommend! -

For a while, I had been searching for a coding bootcamp that I could afford. I went through countless self-paced courses and got stuck in endless tutorial cycles. Nucamp made it easy for me to join, pay in installments, and even receive part of my tuition through one of their scholarships. So far, I am enjoying the learning journey: small classes, a supportive instructor, and projects that help you progress and encourage you to push yourself.
This is exactly what I was looking for, something to build my confidence in coding rather than frustrate me.
Within 5 weeks of the full stack, I can research, read code, and understand what it means and how to debug mine. -

It's been great!
I enrolled into Nucamp because I wanted to further my knowledge of programming. It was the right decision. It has given me the basic knowledge of Python (so far) to understand the language more fluently. I aspire to create applications to better the job I work and create applications that will integrate with programs I currently use. -

I was working as a Software Tester for several years. While taking the Front-End course, despite it being focused on the developer needs, I learned so many things that would have helped even as a tester. Every instructor I've met so far has been very knowledgeable, and happy to help explain topics as needed, while still encouraging learning and practice over rote memorization. Discussion and learning with others on their development journey is an excellent bonus that can't easily be duplicated with one-on-one workshops. If you get this opportunity, I can't recommend it enough. -

Ultimately, three things led me to NuCamp. Consistent feedback from professionals in the field, hands on experience with the learning material, and price. Nucamp exceeded my expectations and I hope that I can take what I have learned to the next step. I have one more course to go to complete my Fullstack Dev certificate but I am so happy with how far I have come. -

So far I've only done the 5 weeks of the Python course from the stance of someone that's only done HTML before actively and dabbled into C++ and python barely and not done well/failed. This course and instructor Michael lit the match that started my passion for coding and gave me tools to assist me in my future endeavors.
