Microverse came into my life at a strange time where I was in a crossroad about where should I "steer the wheel" on my life. I had recently finished up a second degree, been applying for all kinds of jobs with little to no luck due to living in a small city where good paying jobs are scarce and my availability had been cut short significantly due to taking care of a loved one who was in the hospital.
During my sister's hospital time I re-discovered coding. I had always wanted to give it a shot, but never felt like I was good enough to make it work. Started picking up lessons here and there, then came along a Microverse ad. I was sure I wanted to go deep into this and Microverse gave me the perfect opportunity. It specializes in remote jobs so that was perfect for me as I was sure I could not leave my family at this time.
Microverse lets you build your knowledge, practice your english and people skills and build a strong sense of confidence at the same time. Learning in a supportive community where everyone is willing to help and strive for each other's success is something that I don't think you find anywhere. I'm grateful I took the plunge on this.
After finishing main projects curriculum, they also prep you for interviews, help you polish your portfolio, help along with the job negotiation and lay down all the resources they have to make sure you succeed. 100/100 would recommend. I'm even trying to get my sister on board so you know it's the real deal.
Bonus: it's free until you get a job, all you have to do is put some effort and work into it and you're all set.

I got to know about Microverse at the perfect moment in my life. I had basic knowledge about programming, but I wanted to be even better so I could get a job in the field. I had bought 4 or 5 courses on Udemy to learn how to program, but procrastination and other distractions made me feel like I would never learn. Quitting my job as a sales personnel to join the full-time program at Microverse has been the best decision I have made this year (2019). I have learned a lot of technical skills and improved many of my soft skills. Now, whenever I feel like I'm procrastinating, I remember that I have a partner and several other students counting on me. That has helped me tremendously in my learning. I can't wait to get my first job. -

I'm graduated from Engineer of computer Systems with specialty in Software Engineer in Mexico, before i enter to microverse and spend a lot of time searching actively for a software engineer position. But in my city is not the best option from do that.
Thanks to microverse i learned a lot about real world projects with the web development program, and i think the best way to learn to code eficently is with pair program.
Microverse have a lot of benefits to join and one of the best is the stipend to mexican students !!, if you can learn witouth worries from simple things like familiar support, you can aproach it and focus on your coding projects.
I'll recomende microverse if you want to be a remote software developer with best practices and a fluent english !! -

I decided to join Microverse mainly due to: 1- The methodology and how it's focused on professional development through the execution of real projects that can be used in a portfolio; 2- The opportunity to immerse yourself in English and improve your communication skills; 3- The possibility to only pay after getting a job in the technology sector; 4- The professional assistance from experienced recruiters to guide me through applying to jobs and interviews; 5- The self-paced nature which gives me the time to learn the concepts that are more complex without nonsense pressure. What surprised me at Microverse: 1- Their incredible team; 2- How quickly Microverse improves its methodology; 3- The company's network of hiring partners that is continuously expanding to help more students enter the technology market, faster; 4- Their ability to confidential help and support you with any conflict resolution. -

Let’s cut right to it: I’ve always wanted to be a programmer, but I never learned while in university. In fact, when I turned 24 years old, I thought I was running out of time. How wrong I was: I’m now proficient in React.js/Rails and currently looking for my next job (with Microverse' help and support!)
Beyond the skills Microverse teaches, the program's structure that mimics a real-world remote job ensures you become a well-rounded professional. Strong, open communication becomes critical for you, and you learn how to communicate feedback properly. These remote collaborations will be immensely helpful when working in a quickly-growing and fast-moving teams.
After finishing the technical curriculum, you start the career preparation section, which I think is underrated. You get the chance to work with professional recruiters and coaches that help and guide you until you land your dream job.
I don’t know where I would be without Microverse. It comes with my heartfelt recommendation.

I've always loved to build things that benefit people. So, after I graduated from university, I started learning computer programming so I could develop things that could help anyone around the world.
I took online courses, but it was really frustrating because I was doing it on my own. I would get stuck for days not knowing what to do after browsing for solutions to what were probably simple problems.
So, when I stumbled on an article about Microverse, I tried it out. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn and interact with people doing the same thing I was doing.
Joining the program has been a dream come true. I've received a lot of support from more experienced devs, and I've had the opportunity to help those who are just starting, too. -

Cons no actual teachers. But we do well peer review each other.
I love this school. I have been trying to self teach web dev for a couple years. But do to some personal circumstances. I just wasn't able to stay motivated and working. But with Microverse I have been learning everyday. From algorithms to html & css. To where I am now finishing up Ruby on Rails section. In the next week or two I will be starting javascript. You can not go wrong choosing Microverse.

Before joining the Microverse Software Development Program, I had struggled with trying to learn to become a software engineer on my own, especially since I do not have a CS background, coming from an Engineering Major wasn't an easy switch.
I found Microverse towards the end of 2018 and I thought I should give it a try especially since I will not be making any financial commitment, I felt I could easily pull out, if it wasn't worth the time and then I was hooked, I have never been in such a program with so much support for your learning, it's more like a family, you reach out to anyone on the team and you are sure to get a very kind response even with the most foolish questions, and since it is remote I have mates from several different countries, background and experience and you are free to interact even on personal notes and learn from each other.
The handpicked resources are I think one of the best you can find anywhere, it is designed with the real-world job requirements in mind.
I am now a confident software engineer thanks to Microverse. -

I am Daniel Larbi Addo from Ghana and am a full stack developer training at Microverse. It all started earlier this year (2019) when I decided to join Microverse and the journey has been great. I learn a lot from my coding partners, my stand-up team, mentors, code reviewers etc. The journey to becoming a full-stack developer has been awesome. Before Microverse: I used to work for G.E.S as a teacher in the public sector of Ghana. I have been teaching for 6 years, now I have left the teaching job and focused full time to Microverse. I recommend everyone to join Microverse and become the Software Developer you dream to be.
Now I can say I have a family of developers I can interact, ask for clarification and code together. I hope in the future, there will be some financial support for some of us to fully enjoy the program.
I thank Microverse for giving opportunities for us all. -

I’m a Microverse graduate from Ibadan, Nigeria, and I now work as a full-stack remote developer making 8 times of what I earned previously, 3 times what my colleagues in Nigeria are making.
Last year, a friend suggested I should learn to code instead of continuing to work in customer support for a US-based company. I took his advice. I started learning to code through freeCodeCamp, but I stopped because I didn’t have anyone or anything to push me to keep learning.
I learned about Microverse and applied. I got in and I worked hard to make sure I didn’t lose my chance to become a software developer without paying until I got a job. The program was actually fun. I cultivated great work habits and made good friends all around the world. I still talk to some of the friends I made several times a week, Sanel from Bosnia and Dipto from Bangladesh. I’ve never even been to those countries.
Microvere also helps you prepare for working in a professional, remote job. They make sure you learn how to actually build projects, how to work together as a part of a remote software development team, and the process of getting your code live. My job is like Microverse, I submit pull requests and get my code reviewed by fresh eyes several times a week, like I used to with Kevin (my mentor at Microverse, from Kenya)
I recommend Microverse to anybody. I have three people already working on the pre-course work from my recommendation. I think that if you can make sure you have internet and electricity, Microverse is what you need to do. I know those aren’t problems in Europe, they can be in Africa.

Before I even finished Microverse, I lost sleep deciding between several great job offers. Calling it just a “bootcamp” would be a disservice.

Some background: I used to work in finance, but I started learning to code after realizing a lot of what I did in finance wasn’t being valued and there was so much opportunity in software development.
I joined Microverse as part of one of its first cohorts. For me, Microverse’s biggest draw was that, unlike most other coding bootcamps and really most traditional forms of education in general, where they take your money upfront and don’t care what happens afterwards, at Microverse I wouldn’t owe anything until I got a job—and if I didn’t get a job, I wouldn’t owe anything. This means that the organisation’s interests are the same as mine, which is a system that is fundamentally better in every way. All education should be like this. So I decided to take the leap and join.
Before joining Microverse, I learned a little bit of coding through free resources like freeCodeCamp and practicing through #100DaysOfCode. Microverse realizes this—that some of the best learning content is already out there—so they focus on guiding you to the right content and supporting you with a network of intelligent, ambitious people.
Microverse is also based on “remote pair programming”. If you’re not familiar with remote pair programming, it’s based on the idea that two heads are better than one. Basically, we were paired with another student, and every day, my partner and I would switch between being a “driver” and “navigator”. One of us would write the code and the other person would watch and provide feedback, comment, or suggest a different way of doing things. My partner (Kyle) was great—he was smart, ambitious, and hard-working. I was lucky to have him—we had our “aha!” moments at different times and we were able to play off of our different strengths.
The program is also substantially more thorough and complete compared to what typical coding bootcamps offer. So this really should not be called a “bootcamp” or considered as such. One of the last parts of the curriculum is the “career prep” portion where you spruce up your resume, your online portfolio, and your online profiles while also practicing interview questions. I found some freelance work through Microverse, and combined with the projects I completed during the program, I received A LOT of calls and emails from recruiters before even finishing that section. I was humbled. I ended up turning off my online profiles and stopped accepting more interviews.
Going into my interviews, I didn’t feel ready for them because I didn’t have time to practice. Luckily, I passed several of them and received several job offers. I was like “Is this actually happening?” I genuinely started losing sleep because I was having a hard time deciding between several great job offers.
Microverse has the same incentive as you—to help you get a great job. In order to get there, they guide you toward the best materials to learn the most in-demand coding skills, surround you with an ambitious community, pair you with someone else going through the program, and help you establish a schedule and accountability. All education should be this way

I attended Microverse remote software development program from April 2018 to September 2018 (full time) and found my dream remote job in Poland :)
My Background:
I studied aerospace engineering in college, but I decided to go for software development when I graduated. I was lucky to find a company in Beijing even though my goal was to find an international company to work for. After spending one year in Bejing, I went back to Taiwan and decided to start applying for international jobs. I had a hard time getting any job because back then I didn't know the proper way of applying for jobs. Then I found Microvese, a remote software development program that teaches you to become a pro at remote jobs. It was completely free until getting a job and it’s worldwide available, so I decided to give it a try.
About The Program:
The program is divided into two part.
In the pre-course work, I spent 1 month to get an overview of software development, web development, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Ruby and Ruby on Rails. However, I was still not ready to land a job after that.
Once I got accepted into the full-time program, I went over those same languages and technologies, but this time I built at least 30 different projects so I have a very deep understanding of each one now. I worked full-time with my coding partner (another student) by doing remote pair programming. That gave me a lot of teamwork experience, as well as teaching me the most important workflows used by real teams, and helping me improve my communication skills and English level.
I also dedicated at least 100 hours to mastering data structures and algorithms, so I’m now confident to work on more complicated algorithms and coding interviews.
Job Assistance:
Finally, Microverse assigned me a career coach that worked with me to help me get ready for job interviews. They helped me improve my portfolio, resume and online presence, and taught me everything I needed to know for job interviews. They then helped me find and apply to jobs and even negotiate my salary offers!
Overall:
This program is for the dedicated and determined, but it's not like college or another school. You’re working collaboratively with many other highly-motivated and smart people who are determined to start a career in software development. There is a reason why Microverse accepts less than 1% of the people that apply. If you're looking to pull the trigger and commit to learning to code, then this is the program for you. It is truly incredible how much you can learn in 22 weeks. This program was both incredibly challenging and extremely rewarding.
Bottom line? Great people, great program. If you're committed to this craft and you have a passion for it, go for it.
Best of luck!

I am the kind of person who really likes to learn things in the intensive mode, I really need to feel the pressure and the obligation to do the necessary tasks to learn about something, and that is exactly what microverse gave me. That is what I like the most about this academy, you can feel the real environment of the remote programming work, while you're making friends from all around the world and creating important connections for your future. -

Hello, my name is Giuseppe Tomasini, I am from Colombia and am currently studying at Microverse. I did not have any background experience related to programming, (I am a musician) before entering Microverse. I decided to take the pre-course that they were offering before taking the admission trials. This precurse teaches you the very basics of Javascript, Html, and CSS in a very didactic way. You meet people around the world and try to complete some exercises with them, so from the beginning, you can be used to do pair-programming. This school does not have teachers, but they have a very clear path to teach you all that you need, step by step. They also have a lot of channels where you can submit your questions about anything and other students or microverse staff will help you 100% of the time. You will be assigned to different groups for doing your daily tasks and report your progress each day. I upgraded my English level, everything is in English by the way. Each one of your projects will be reviewed by other students more advanced than you, and you can also apply to this position and have some earnings. The course is very exigent and time-consuming, but it worth it. What made me decide to join Microverse was their payment method: you pay until you get a job (for more details see their webpage). I have had fun and made friends, but most of all learned a LOT during this journey. -

I was skeptical at first whether Microverse is a good fit for me. When I started the first module I knew it was worth it.
1) You Learn everything you need, to become an excellent Full stack web developer.
Well you might say that several other resources offer that, then continue reading.
2) You get to meet amazing people and build a great network.
3) You build solid soft skills like communications, leadership, mentoring, pair-programming and many others.
4) You'll have a career coach for life
5) If your goal is to land a job, Microverse is the best place to go. You'll definitely find a job. -

I went in expecting little and was blown away by the detailed and thoughtful program. It is a well-developed program with an amazing community that is very cooperative and eager to help. Its staff is very responsive and very understanding about the personal problems that arise from being a student in an extremely diverse community. They claim that they are doing this for primarily altruistic purposes, and from everything I have seen, they have shown this to be true.
It is, of course, a BootCamp, with everything that comes from that. As they don't have much time, concepts are introduced with links for further study, but this further study is expected to be in personal time. Still, the amount of information that they manage to impart, in not too hurried a fashion, is astounding.
There are no instructors or lectures in this course, but the structured system that they have implemented more than compensates for that. They also focus strongly on professional skills alongside technical ones, getting you ready for getting (and keeping) a job from day 1. -

Microverse selects self-starter developers from around the world and from various backgrounds. They are at different levels in their tech learning/career, some have degrees, some don't. Some are switching to programming from another career, while some have many years of experience but only limited opportunities in their area of the world.
This mix leads to a unique learning experience, where you learn to collaborate with people from different backgrounds, with a unique accent in English, to create quality software. This, in my opinion, is a real strength of the Microverse. Indeed, any student coming out of there can adapt to any multicultural context in English in the tech industry and succeed.
The curriculum is a curated list of resources covering both technical and soft skills.
On the technical side, it's mostly HTML, CSS, Javascript (ES6+), ESLint, StyleLint, WebHint, Webpack, React, Redux, Ruby, Ruby on Rails. One thing to point out that I think is fantastic about Microverse is the student's exposure to Git/GitHub from day one. I remember before Microverse, although I was already a developer, my workflow and comfort level with version control were very limited. Throughout the course, the student works on several projects (usually) one per week (the first project being his own portfolio). As a result, he builds a contribution graph on GitHub worthy of a world-class developer, and the activities lead him to vary the way he contributes: commits, pull requests, code reviews, issues.
As for soft skills, the curriculum covers a lot of notions, such as planning one's week, managing conflicts, learning to give feedback...
I particularly liked the fact that the curriculum pushes us to modify our Github, LinkedIn, and AngelList profiles to make them look professional. This makes the student ready to apply for offers even before finishing the curriculum, even if it is discouraged by the institution.
I pointed out earlier that the curriculum is a curated list of resources. This can be both a strength and a weakness. A strength in that the student is exposed to different sources of learning, and is not dependent on a single source. This opens the mind and allows for more detailed learning of concepts.
Unfortunately, it can also be a disadvantage in that the learning material for a concept is sometimes too long for the time available and too broad for the complexity of the task. Thus sometimes the student can feel overwhelmed or lost. This is for me the major weak point of Microverse. I would like to point out, however, that they are constantly optimizing. Indeed, they regularly ask for feedback from students and work behind the scenes to improve the curriculum, the learning experience, and the overall student experience.
Finally, I'll talk about support at Microverse. Although it is entirely remote, there is a Student Success team that provides wonderful support to students and is available to address concerns of any kind.
In conclusion, Microverse is an excellent choice of school for anyone looking to pursue a career in tech at a professional level and ideally remote. You learn things that are in demand in the market, while building your reputation as a developer, expanding your network as a professional, making friends, and being assisted and supported by a dynamic team.
It is not perfect and certainly has things to improve in its operation, but I can only recommend it, as I see the effects on my own person even though I am still a student.

The program has been great, no doubt it's so far the best online BootCamp I have come across. Before microverse, I tried self-learning but it was not easy, accountability is expensive, luckily microverse gives you that for free. NOW LETS SEE THE PROS;
-Holds you accountable
- Project-based learning
- So many professional skills(I bet most self-learners can not even use GitHub well, but microverse will make you see GitHub differently in no time, let alone LinkedIn/Angelist e.t.c)
- Experience working with teams in a remote setting, including remote pair-programming
- No upfront fees... you pay zero dollars till you land a job that pays atleast 1000usd(lets just call it free)
-Despite having many students to attend to, microverse is doing a great job attending each student at the right time.
- and many more pros, obviously I won't list them all..but those are the main ones.
BELOW ARE THE CONS;
- Not beginner-friendly, the program is designed to fit people with at least some prior experience, there is less room for being new, much more because it's project-based, and it has deadlines. That being said though, it's not impossible, I started not knowing anything too but here I am just finishing the 3rd module(react/redux), you might repeat a few weeks here and there but with persistence, you'll move.
- Studying materials and very insufficient, that say from the beginning that microverse has no teacher, they provide some materials but of course, it's not always enough, you'll eventually find yourself using other materials more(this will also teach you how to learn on your own)
CONCLUSION
- you won't find anything as good as this online, at least for now.
- I might have not written properly and skipped many pros, but trust me they overweigh the few cons..it's A platform I wish I knew about earlier. -

It has been a challenging process but rewarding, the are some things that can be better but in general, the staff and the content are great the things I don't like are primarily that the is no consistency in the code reviews, some of the code reviewers are great but some others no that much. The content and the way each lesson is presented I like and also the opportunity to practice my English on a daily basis with people around all the world is a big plus. There are some soft skills lessons some of them are very useful but sometimes it can feel repetitive the subjects they present. In general, I would recommend it. -

- Microverse provides the all resources to learn and master the content as well as concept.
- Microverse set and provide the real-world projects in order to implement what you have learned as well as gaining more experience.
- Their learning methodology at Microverse is excellent compared to other schools, for instance, to assign you with a code partner to learn and implement the project.
-They always count or check on your move in the program to find the best solution for you to achieve your goals in this career.
- They calculate your score per week for each student, making the students work hard with their all energy to master the content.
- Microverse provides the students with opportunities to part-time jobs while they are in the program for students with the high score and code quality.
- I can't forget their effective communication between the students and the Microverse staff.
- They always plan or schedule a meeting every month with all students (student Assembly) to share their thought with Microverse staff.
- Pair programming, innovative way learning, very good structure and awesome model.
- Innovative way of teaching, professional career coaches, goal alignment with student, and no upfront cost.
For me, no cons found yet unless to add a new courses and projects.

Honestly speaking, I have been learning programming for more than 14 years. I have not come across a program that is this all encompassing. From the methods of delivery to the curriculum and the community, It all has been a blessing to me. I love the morning sessions with fellow micronauts. Being able to interact and solve challenges together make it something to look forward to. Code reviewer are honest to let you know you are on the right path and you need to do more work. This is something that is missing even at EDX. Students need not just materials but they need support and guidance. Also, professional skill are invaluable resources for me as it not only builds me up in character for the work place but also in my relationship with my family. The only thing that i would like them to add to the program is more time for group algorithm and data structure challenges.
I have been in programs where they are only after certification without building ones experience and know-how but his program is the other way round. They want you to build experience and know-how that is useful in the work place you will find yourself. With real life projects. -

- It is also an Excellent platform for collaborative learning simulating the actual remote job collaborative workspace.
- Students enjoy some special privileges like PRO membership of GitHub.
- It creates an exceptional opportunity to make professional and social connections.
- A great program to develop important professional skills and traits especially demanded in a collaborative work environment.
- Steep learning curve because of the well structured, dense, and representative materials and projects which are bound by the deadline.
- It is an ideal online platform for people around the world who don’t get the opportunity to become accomplished full-stack developers.
People might find Microverse not for their expectation due to some reasons like :- An optional part-time program would be a good choice for many who can’t afford full-time.
- For students who enjoy a less stressed and relaxed environment, it may be ineffective as it is not like other online learning platforms.
To sum up, I found Microverse full of programming adventure and satisfaction at the same time. The fact that Microverse doesn’t ask for any payment until graduates secure a job, is a pretty cool thing for many potential programmers with financial limitations. I would recommend anyone who dreams to be an accomplished full-stack developer without any reservation to join Microverse and witness his/her amazing transformation. -

I have been totally impressed and incredibly satisfied with the well-structured and guided learning at Microverse.
Pros- A well-structured curriculum makes learning a lot easier and more fun- Very well researched and compiled references and material help firmly impart knowledge- Grouping and pair-programming concepts build team skills- Making friends and connections from all over the world- Self-discovery and development through a well-curated professional skills course- The concept of mastery learning removes the pressures caused by different learning speeds - An impressive career-coaching system Cons- The full-time course is a little financially difficult for students who are self-supporting since it is difficult to do anything else.- Reviews and skills evaluations could be better. Students can be allowed to progress before fully understanding the concepts.- Due to the random pairing, the group can only progress as fast as the slowest person. Let us not forget that every day in the program has a financial implication.

I started attending Microverse in June 2020. I was, and still am, NOT in a position to waste my time on something that wouldn't benefit me and help me grow as a developer. That means I can not waste a single minute in vain when it comes to education and career-related things. A lot of students in Microverse, including me, are from a different educational background. Speaking for myself, I have worked in multiple positions in the past, and in that process, I have learned to identify what is best for me and what is not. Accordingly, It has come to pass for me to know that Microverse is the best decision I have ever made so far. Let me state a few reasons: -- Accountability. Most developers, self-thought or not, find it hard to follow a daily routine of learning. And those who find it easy may do it the WRONG way. I, for example, have built some websites and applications before Microverse. But I now realize there are a lot of things involved before and after building. Example: - Linting, TDD...
- Imposter syndrome. The "I can't do it" mentality will go out the window once you see your peers create awesome apps and websites. You will realize that you can create something as good as what other Microverse students created, if not better. Example: - building a game.
- Communication. In Microverse, you will communicate with a wide range of people with different perspectives and experiences. Pair-programming is one of the core principles in Microverse, so you will get the test of what remote work is.
- You will learn industry-standard development.

Microverse: A great experience

When I was looking on the internet one day, I didn't expect to find Microverse, there were difficult times, without a job and free time, I had to do something, and then this advertising appears.
I postulate "because"; I thought my English level or my development skills wasn't enough to be approved, and this is the thing with Microverse: you don't need a high English level (B2 is enough) or an incredible TI background (you can find psychologist, lawyers, economist, etc.) you will need a good internet connection and desire to work.
I have not completed the curriculum, but: the statistics, the people who I talk to, and my own experience; this is enough to believe in this program on this project.
Microverse teaches you more than just code: Microverse teaches you soft skills, gives you remote experience, helps you to find a job. You will see the effort they do to help you to complete the program and start to work.
Another aspect of Microverse is that you don't have to pay if you don't complete the program, if you are not currently working on a web development job or if your payment is less than USD 1000.
So, there exist many good things that make me believe in Microverse and this experience. If you want to give it a try, you will love this. -

Enrolling at Microverse is one of the greatest things that ever happened to me. Here at Microverse, you don't pay tuition upfront until you land your dream job and earning at least 1,000 USD. As a student of Microverse, I've learned a whole lot here as regards software development, remote work, pair-programming, communication skills, mentorship, and collaborative skills.
The way the program is structured is entirely amazing. Here, the methodology is project-based. There're five modules on this program and the students and their coding partners have a series of projects to work on each module, which is amazing. Some projects are solo while some others are collaborative. This approach helps the students to learn pair-programming, remote work, and collaboration.
There're both mandatory and extra algorithms and data structures in the technical curriculum to help the students improve their problem-solving skills.
Also, there're fantastic Career Coaches that helps the students prepare and land their dream jobs at the end of the tech curriculum.
There's a whole lot to write but I'll have to stop here. However, I won't forget to say that Microverse also helps some students who are committed and are facing financial challenges with student supports. And I'm currently a beneficiary of the Microverse stipend support.
So, there's nothing I do not like @Microverse.
Sincerely,
James.
Thank you. -

Pros:
- Microverse has a significant and rare support feature other schools\bootcamps don't offer, which is no upfront payment, without such facilitation
wouldn't be able to study, I know this applies to many other students too.
- Overall very good study experience
- Learning with partners or collaborators
- Help graduates with landing a job
Can be improved:
- No live chat support
- Insufficient study material, especially for Ruby. It is time-consuming to google everything -

I'm going to be brief. Are you learning to program and you feel there is still something missing between you and getting a great job? That's exactly the space Microverse will fill. There you will not only learn the technical knowledge but also a really important skill: Working with people. You will be working full time focused on learning relevant skills while working with someone else every day in English. Trust me there is no better experience you can have out there in order to get a job. I'm currently living a dream working for an American company as a Full Stack Developer. Exactly what I wanted and what I planned before joining Microverse. -

Microverse is a global school for software developers. From my experience, it emphasizes two main aspects: technical skills and soft skills, both of which are very important for a software developer.
I studied Biology and am new to programming. I started coding in January 2018 and it’s amazing how quickly I am growing. I remember the excitement and fulfillment I felt after completing the tic-tac-toe game project using Ruby.
For the first time, I felt like a programmer and the thought of everything being possible kept ringing in my mind. As a programming novice, what I love about Microverse is the way their material is organized and how every topic builds on a previous one facilitating the understanding of concepts that are sometimes difficult.
As a Cameroonian African, the major difficulty we face with online studies is the inability to financially sponsor our studies, but when I heard that Microverse teaches for free until you land a job, I immediately saw an opportunity to build my programming skills without financial worries.
Today makes me 19 weeks of working with Microverse. I have one last project with Ruby on Rails and am hoping to enter the Career Prep part of the program as fast as possible

I've been a student in Microverse for 4 months already, i think this has been a great experience overall since day 1.
New students are grouped in teams of 5(like scrum), this methodology helps improve the student's abilities by allowing them to share their daily experiences with others students from around the world(amazing huh?) while also improving communication and team work.
Personally i can give testimony of the amazing staff Microverse has, they are always open to hear you whenever you have a difficulty and that says a lot about their mindset as a company.
Pros:
-Great way to start your software development career.
-Meet people around the world.
-Build experience.
-Helps you build a daily routine and discipline.
-Improves communication and team work.
Cons:
You need a 10mb stable internet connection at all times(for collaborating with your coding partner in video call)
There is some basic web development and coding requirements to join.
For some people with different timezones to the US, it might be difficult to attend the program since its from 9am-5pm -

Joining Microverse was the best decision of my life.
I studied Computer Science in college, but I learned more in 3 months at Microverse than I learned in 3 years at university. The difference was my college's curriculum was built around theory instead of practice.
Microverse helped me learn how to use real-world tools and connect with passionate students like myself from all over the world. I never had that while at my university.
I would recommend Microverse to anyone who wants to become a world-class developer and create a global network of friends.

I am an Algerian woman, married with 5 children, who gave up her professional career as a computer engineer to start a new one at 'Microverse'. The desire to grow in my field has been steadily increasing since my graduation from university in 1996, however, I have encountered many obstacles "The internet, child-rearing, the nature of my work and others, "which prevented me from realizing my dream.
My admission to 'Microverse' last January, put me in a great dilemma, either leaving my job and fulfilling my dream or continue my normal life and give up my dream.
Sure, I chose without hesitation to join 'Microverse'. Now after hard working, I have finished my technical curriculum, I have learned with my partner, my team, and the reviews of many TSEs (Technical Support Engineers) all that is needed for web development (frontend and backend), and I am ready to move on to my new professional career also with the assistance of 'Microverse' staff.I recommend Microverse Bootcamp to anybody because it's: safe, pleasant, beneficial, and the most important thing it's free until you got a job.
