Master School Institute of Technology

I joined Masterschool with an existing background in software engineering, C++, game engines, real-time systems, and complex technical projects. I was therefore not looking for a basic introduction to programming. What I needed was a structured way to connect my previous experience with modern AI engineering and to turn that combination into a clearer professional direction.

The AI Engineering program helped me build that foundation. I strengthened my knowledge of Python, SQL, data workflows, machine learning fundamentals, software testing, and AI-oriented development. More importantly, I learned how these technologies can be combined in practical software systems rather than treated as isolated theoretical subjects.

A major benefit for me was being able to apply what I learned directly to my own work. I now use AI tools and agents as part of real development workflows and build systems involving agent orchestration, retrieval-based knowledge access, validation processes, backend services, and structured AI-assisted software engineering. Masterschool gave me the technical framework and confidence to develop these areas much more systematically.

I also appreciated that the program provided structure without pretending that learning happens automatically. You still need discipline, curiosity, and the willingness to work beyond the minimum requirements. The program gives you direction, exercises, support, and a clear learning path, but the results depend heavily on how actively you use those opportunities.

The personal support was another important part of the experience. Having people available for guidance, feedback, and career-related questions made the process feel more focused and less isolated than learning entirely on my own.

In my view, Masterschool can be valuable for career changers and beginners, but also for experienced developers who want to add AI engineering to an existing technical background. The individual starting points may be very different, but the structured curriculum makes it possible to build practical skills and identify where deeper specialization is needed.

For me, the program was more than another certificate. It helped me place my previous professional experience on a stronger foundation and gave me a much clearer path toward roles involving AI systems, software architecture, intelligent development tools, and agent-based workflows. Read less

Participating in this program was an amazingly rewarding experince. 
The pace intense and challenging, but the handy-on projects and support from the mentors and community make a huge diffrence.
The are no limits to creativity.I gained a lot of practical knowledge and can highly recommend the MSIT hackathon to everyone.

Dadurch können auch Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer ohne Vorkenntnisse mit den absoluten Grundlagen beginnen und am Ende des Kurses eine voll funktionsfähige KI-Anwendung selbst entwickeln. Joining Masterschool was a game-changer! My 14-month journey was packed with incredible learning, industry certifications, and support.

In the first months, Lazar Savkovic, Karla Evelize, Jonas Adamietz, Natalia Rico, Lean Vilas, David Munro, and Alon Gal laid a solid foundation. Lazar Savkovic was fantastic for Frontend and SQL, while Juan Bavaresco and Natalia Rico mastered our Git/GitHub training. During this phase, I successfully passed my PCEP and PCAP certifications. A major milestone was participating in a Hackathon after 3 months, brilliantly led by Yuval Goldfus.

My Academic Success Manager, Mina Shokri, provided invaluable guidance with study materials throughout. At the 6-month mark, I started AI Engineering with my amazing mentor Zisis Batzos, heavily supported by Felix Beinßen and Dean Didion. By the 10th month, I expanded into QA Engineering with Marina Ernst, Ahmed Bashir, and Karin Hogenbirk—where I am now preparing for my ISTQB exam with Masterschool's support. Simultaneously, I tackled Advanced Frontend with Erik Hölzel and David Munro, Web Security with Luca Braggion, and DevToProd with Charles.

When it came time to transition into the job market, the career team was phenomenal. Meike Tesar, Yael Meir, and Nyemba M'membe worked closely with me to completely transform my LinkedIn and craft an industry-ready CV. With a polished profile, Michael Durante and Jess Trayer from TheInterna (the internship placement company) then stepped in to seamlessly bridge the gap to external companies, guiding me straight into my current internship.

Masterschool did not just train me technically; they prepared me with all the career skills and professional connections needed to truly develop in the industry. I completed the Software Engineer program at Masterschool and I am extremely satisfied with the entire experience. From day one, the curriculum stood out as very well-structured, combining solid theoretical foundations with intensive hands-on projects, which solve real world problems.

A very professionally organized online school. It is not perfect, but they are constantly improving their structure and processes.The program is very intensive and can be tough for beginners with no prior experience. However, getting access to learning platforms like Coursera, TryHackMe, and ACI Learning is extremely useful.Having an assigned Academic Success Manager (ASM) for ongoing support and discussion is a huge help. You also have the option to schedule weekly sessions with tutors for extra guidance along your learning path.Another big plus is that you receive a decent laptop for your studies, which you get to keep once you graduate. After finishing the course, they also provide career support to help you find a job—they train you as well as possible, though of course, finding the job ultimately depends on you.Overall, I highly recommend Masterschool to anyone who wants to study IT. I started in MSIT 7 months ago, and I soon complete my 8 months program. I'm a marketing manager that is looking to get into Data Analytics, to use both in marketing and as a data analyst. I didn't really have a strong tech background - But my time in Masterschool (now known as MSIT) really changed that! My experience as a student in Masterschool’s eight-month cybersecurity program has been—and continues to be—a valuable opportunity that I am very glad I pursued.Although there is a great deal of material to cover, my cohort and I have had the benefit of learning from many knowledgeable, supportive, and approachable instructors. They have made the four to six live online sessions each week both informative and enjoyable.The program provides a clear learning path that helps students progress at an appropriate pace and develop their knowledge in the right direction. At times, particularly during certain quizzes and assessments, I felt that the preceding material had not covered all the knowledge required to answer every question. Overall, however, the combination of required and optional courses across several learning platforms provides an excellent foundation in cybersecurity.Masterschool also actively invites feedback, so whenever something seemed to be missing or could be improved, there was an opportunity to raise it. The premium access provided for the different learning platforms is another major advantage. It makes it easy to explore topics beyond the core curriculum and dive more deeply into areas that personally interest you. Both the course material and the live sessions continually demonstrate how much there is to discover in cybersecurity—and how enjoyable that process can be.The Career Sprint toward the end of the program has also helped us improve our CVs, LinkedIn profiles, and professional networking skills. With the practical knowledge, certificates, career preparation, and support available throughout the eight months, I feel far more confident and well prepared to begin a career in a field I genuinely enjoy. I took CSM course & it was very interactive and interestingly conducted. The CSM program deepened my understanding of Agile principles, Scrum roles, and ceremonies, with engaging real-world examples that built confidence to apply Scrum effectively. I chose Masterschool as a 50-something-year-old mom of 6 who wanted to get some fresh training and find a new job with an increased salary. The final selling point for me was that there are no tuition payments up front, so I knew Masterschool would have a vested interest in helping me get hired. It is not cheap, but my yearly salary increase alone over my previous job pays for the full tuition multiple times over. I studied and put in the work and got a job I'm super excited about and confident in. The personal support from my Schoolmaster was amazing throughout. And having a cohort of fellow students on the same journey was encouraging, as well. I enjoyed my time with Masterschool very much and I found my first job in tech around 6 months after graduating. What worked particularly well for me was the pace, the course content, and the overall structure. The lecturers and success managers were always open, motivating, friendly, and genuinely helpful. There was enough free time between the lectures and scheduled learning to fit extra time to work on personal projects, watch extra videos about course contents and deepen knowledge that we only scratched the surface of in the lectures. The biggest impact for me was probably the support after the course. The job search was exhausting and took much longer than I had expected. I really appreciated the constant support, encouragement, and motivation I received from my two career success advisors. They were the part of the program that helped me stay on top of the job search mentally, kept me motivated, and made sure I didn't give up. I would definitely recommend the program. At the same time, I also believe the most important things you need to be successful in software development are a willingness to learn, to invest time into programming and building personal projects alongside the course, and to stay resilient during the job search. The market is tough currently, especially for junior developers, and I think it's important to be aware of that from the beginning. There are also a few things that could be improved. For example, we received information about the certificates that could be obtained at the very beginning of the course, but there weren't really any updates on that afterwards. When I eventually asked about them, I was told it was already too late to complete all but one of the certificates. More proactive communication on topics like that would have been helpful. Another thing I really appreciated was that feedback from our cohort was actually taken seriously. Whenever we made suggestions or raised concerns, changes were implemented very quickly. We asked for more time to work on assignments, and it changed the next day. We requested an extra lesson on a specific topic, and it was scheduled the following week. It really felt like our feedback mattered, and I think that's something worth highlighting. Read less
