I originally planned to do the part-time program because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to keep up with the pace of the full-time course. Fortunately, for me, my part-time program was canceled (in Mexico), so I was forced to do a full-time program. I ended up choosing Madrid so I could be in a city where I could practice my Spanish and also learn the data science curriculum in a small-class environment (our group had 9 students). I was very impressed with the quality of the curriculum and most of the teachers. It was also really great to get to know and work with my classmates, some of whom will now be friends for life. -

Intense, great, exciting and difficult
It is very fast. You are learning too much just in 9 weeks. It would be better if we spend more time on some important subjects which are a little hard to comprehend. However overall I feel very confident with the skills I gained. I met great people and completed a Machine Learning project from scratch -

Absolutely stellar teaching experience! From start to finish, it was an exhilarating journey that exceeded all my expectations. The pace of the classes was incredibly dynamic, keeping me fully engaged and constantly on my toes. Despite the fast tempo, the instructors skillfully managed to deliver comprehensive coverage of all the course content, leaving no stone unturned. But what truly set this experience apart was the remarkable ability to break down intricate coding problems into bite-sized pieces. This meticulous approach made even the most complex concepts crystal clear, allowing me to grasp them effortlessly as a student. Hats off to the instructor for their exceptional teaching prowess, making this an unforgettable and immensely rewarding learning adventure! -

9 weeks of ups and downs emotionally. Lots of knowledge thrown at you, more that you can handle if you are new to the business. Many times you think you are not learning, but at the end of the camp, you look back, and you compare to your own self of day 1, and realise how much staff are you able to do and how much you have learned. From knowing a bit of html and css, to create your own app all by your self.
I feel I've been very lucky with the people I've met. The colleagues have been amazing and the Le Wagon team are too!
Totally recommend it! -

A truly amazing experience. From no coding knowledge to the creation of full stack applications, I never thought that I could accomplish such a task in such a short time. To anyone thinking of getting into programming, Le Wagon is the place that I would recommend to them right away. WOW!
Le Wagon's Montreal Staff is an amazing team! They are all super positive and helpful. Everytime I needed help, they were able to assist me and even helped me outside of school hours. Le Wagon takes great care to make sure you as a student are prepared for what is to come. The course is really intense, but you always have someone to help when you get stuck. Le Wagon is a great place to learn Web Dev!

I attended le Wagon from January 2023 to March 2023 and I am very happy with my decision to take their Web Dev course.
The teachers are very knowledgeable, approachable, kind and patient. The way the program is set up helps to reinforce the material we have learned; there is a lecture in the morning, coding challenges during the day, then a review/live code in the evening.
The staff also set up events and activities that help build friendships and teamwork. The campus is inviting and I felt right at home from day one.
At the end of the program there is a group project where you collaborate with up to 4 people to build a web app. The teachers help you along the way to produce a great product.
After the web app demo day, there is a career week. During this week, they help you set up your Linkedin page, write a cv and start to network with jobs during a career fair. With the Slack app, we stay in touch and get notifications on networking events.
One thing that I would like to see for this program is perhaps an internship where the students can continue to develop their skills and help them to find employment.
I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to learn to code in a structured way!

The experience was very enriching both in terms of technical content and social interaction. The direct practical approach to learning really allowed me to immerse myself in the field, and the community around the campus makes the experience way less stressful than it might seem based on its description. The curriculum might need to be updated in the coming years due to all the progress being done, but it seems like that is already something the staff are working on. -

I chose Le Wagon Bootcamp because i was curious about Data Science and about the new market trends that will shape the future. Thanks to this programme, I’ve learned a wide range of concepts from decision science to machine learning and deep learning. It is a challenging bootcamp that needs a daily commitment. But is also a learning environment full of fun where you can build new relationships with other student and teachers. The bootcamp doesn't stop to the few learning weeks but goes beyond that into being part of Le Wagon community which may help you find new job opportunities, test your project/product, exchange new informations etc..Every day in the bootcamp was bringing new concepts and new challenges and it was a win for me – it’s the best decision I’ve ever made -

Attending Le Wagon's web development bootcamp was a game-changer for me. The teaching method was brilliant, with challenges that made learning new concepts a blast. By encouraging us to be curious and conduct our own research, Le Wagon fostered a sense of autonomy and a love for lifelong learning.
The instructors and teacher assistants were amazing, always approachable and friendly. Their expertise, patience, and passion for teaching were evident in every interaction. They were always approachable, ready to help and guide us through any challenges we faced. The class had a fantastic vibe, and we built an incredible community. Plus, the buddy system was a genius idea, helping us learn even more in just nine weeks by working everyday with someone new.
I've discovered a genuine passion for web development and can't wait to dive into a field that excites me so much. -

There are different motivations for joining a data science bootcamp. For me, it was mostly out of curiosity, as I wanted to get more familiar with the concepts that I believe will shape the future. And that's precisely what I got from my Le Wagon Madrid experience!
From an academic perspective, I was very much impressed with the curriculum! It's designed to take anyone from almost zero to a good understanding of the principles that govern machine learning and artificial intelligence. The materials that support the classes as well as the exercises we spent most of our days on ("the challenges") are very well made and make the learning easy and fun!
The bootcamp format was particularly important to me, as it allowed me to get hands-on experience coding and practicing the concepts learned in the rather short classes, instead of spending too much time on the theory. That's critical to maintain the thrill throughout the entire 9-week program!
I also wanted an in-person experience to have people around to share the experience with... and of course after 9 intense weeks, students and staff all become one big family :-). On that, shoutout to the Madrid staff for making the experience so enjoyable and creating that super friendly atmosphere from the very first days of the bootcamp!!
Overall, through such an intense experience, I definitely feel part of the "Le Wagon family" and I'm glad to have some good friends in Madrid! -

I had an amazing time during my nine weeks with Le Wagon. The course is brilliant and structured in a very fast paced way, and although it's very intense at times, it's incredibly rewarding. Once you reach the projects period it's amazing to see everything you have learnt come together as you build two separate projects, the last of which you present on the final day!
The curriculum was great, it focuses mainly on Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework, along with HTML and CSS, databases, and a small amount of JavaScript. You have a lecture each morning, a full day of coding challenges, and then a 1 hour live code, where you work through a difficult coding challenge together as a class with the same teacher who taught the morning's lecture. The curriculum covers Ruby, Object-Oriented Programming, databases, front-end, Rails, and then you combine everything to build your projects.
I would recommend keeping JavaScript in the back of your mind as you will hear it mentioned a lot. I think the amount you learn in the course is perfect as a foundation and for motivating you to go forward after the bootcamp and expand on it, which is exactly what me and a few of my batchmates are currently doing together. The amount you learn is plenty for building your final project, and with the knowledge you have from the bootcamp you will find it much easier to learn any other programming languages and frameworks of your choosing afterwards.
The teachers and TAs exceeded all of my expectations, they were friendly and approachable and all of them immensely knowledgeable on the subjects we worked with. Not only were they incredible at what they did, but individually as people they were all so kind, patient, understanding, and funny. Being able to chat casually to not only teachers and TAs but also other, non-technical staff members creates such an incredible environment, you really feel like you know everyone and they know you, proven by the fact that staff would remember me and call me by my name even if I hadn't seen them in a few weeks, and after they had met with and spoken to so many other people on campus - it was incredible.
I commuted around 3.5 hours a day in total, every day for the full nine weeks, and it was so worth it. The amount you can get out of a nine week course is incredible, and every day was fun, challenging, and unique in its own way. I recommend being on time, being consistent, asking relevant questions during lectures, and working hard to get the most out of the course. I'd recommend the course to anyone interested, I'm over the moon with my decision!
The curriculum was brilliant, but the experience as a whole includes so much more than learning to code! The friends and connections you make, the lifetime access to the platform you use during the bootcamp and also the Slack channel with over 20,000 members, the various social events you can attend, the opportunity to meet so many new, interesting people, the weekly pilates sessions and tech talks that take place during the lunch breaks, there is simply so much offered in 9 weeks, it's absolutely amazing. I'm amazed at how much I grew both personally and professionally during the bootcamp. All of this is why I refer to Le Wagon as a life-changing experience! -

I highly recommend Le Wagon's 9-week web development bootcamp. It's a 9-weeks full-time on-site course that fully immerges you into this world.
I came from having some engineering experience but wanted to build my foundational knowledge and further my understanding. Plenty of my cohort were completely new to coding and picked things up really well.
Each day starts with a lecture of up to 2 hours, with breaks, and led by a variety of difference lecturers. I found this particularly valuable as the variety of teaching styles helped to keep our attention and focus.
After lecture, you're buddied up with a peer to work through challenges based on the topic of the lecture. You can go at your own pace and when you [inevitably] get stuck, the teaching assistants (TA) are always on hand to guide you and are super helpful.
At the end of the day, we'd all have a live code challenge to solve. On some days this was a stuggle as your brain is fried, but I found that it also clarified and answered any problems from the day.
The last three weeks are focused on a couple of projects which is more akin to how you will be working as a developer. This is a chance to build an app within a small team of your peers and put everything you've learnt into practice. By far, the best part of the course.
After the course is done, (optional but encouraged) careers week is super helpful to set you up for your job search.
The campus itself feels like a start-up office - a large open space, communal kitchen, coffee machines, Friday drinks and birthday cakes. If you're lucky, you'll have some doggo visitors too.
The web portal and resources that Le Wagon provide are excellent. You will retain access to everything you've covered and there are many more tutorials and guides to continue your learning.
Le Wagon's alumni is also something not to be overlooked. During my job search I have reached out to people I have never met and they have been incredibly helpful, just because I'm part of this community <3
So in summary, I loved it. I learned tonnes. I have made friends and I feel set up for my career as a developer. -

As a person with a background in digital project management, but without any previous coding experience, this 9-week course brought me to my limits more than once. Yes, it is energetically and emotionally very challenging. But... the support, both from Le Wagon teachers and later the experience of working together in teams on your own project was just outstanding.
It took me about 2-3 weeks to get used to the high pace + that constant feeling of being overwhelmed with all the new information every day. There was no real time to revisit topics. "Trust us, we know what we're doing. If you're overwhelmed, look back one day and realize what you've learned since." - This was probably the best advice which I want to pass on.
But why 5 stars? - Because every aspect of the organization, the curriculum, the teacher encouragement and support up to the the feeling of constantly growing in my technical and creative skills was simply an experience unlike anything else. This is education at its best! I was challenged, encouraged, challenged, encouraged - I had a strong feeling the Le Wagon staff are on my side and really want me to succeed, despite self-doubts I had from time to time. Looking back at these 9 weeks, I feel very grateful. Not only have I learned a ton of Web Development skills to start my career as Junior Web Developer. I also got more confident about what I'm capable of when I let go of my ego and embrace making mistakes as the key of personal growth. -

My advice is to do it if you want to get into code. The program is really well-structured and the only thing I would add was more time in JavaScript. The bootcamp is fast-paced and intense. Sometimes you may feel overwhelmed, but it is normal, so ask questions to your colleagues and teachers whenever you feel stuck. All the teachers, staff and colleagues were super friendly and helpful. Studying online may actually be cheaper, but I think in the end, I wouldn't have learned not even half of the program taught in the bootcamp, and it would take me a lot more time and effort. I really enjoyed the experience, and I only regret postponing for so long. -
