Great Company
Awesome place to start your career. Incredibly supportive, and helpful environment. With a great manager that allows you to focus on your studies, and succeed. Their courses are great. Not required but it will be beneficial to be flexible and be able to move to other states. I would definitely recommend it. -

Overall I had a great experience with this program. It was the perfect entry point into software development. The curriculum was solid but since it is a new program the course structure still needs a bit of refinement. Management was fantastic, and accommodating. Mock interviews were the norm which was a huge benefit in preparing for real interviews with clients. It's paid training and if you can study, prepare, and perform you'll have access to a solid client list all across the country. The biggest difficulty for me was information about the process wasn't always clear which can leave you feeling anxious. However, this was a tiny issue relative to all the positive experiences I had with the program and with the company. -

Cognixia's Jump program gave me the tools, knowledge and working experience to enter the workforce with confidence. The instructors were all great to work with and the course path was helpful for me to meet the needs of their clients. Having a chance to work with one of Cognixia's Fortune 500 companies, I am now gaining my first real-world experience that wouldn't have been possible without Coginixia's Jump program! If you are motivated, hard-working, and serious about beginning your career in this exciting field, then I highly recommend Cognixia! -

Great Experience.
I had a good time with the JUMP program and am glad I went through it. I was part of the Mainframe cohort and learned many different technologies. I learned JCL COBOL and CICS all for mainframe development. The instructor for our cohort was also very knowledgeable and had many years of experience in the field. Overall as a learning experience this course was more than adequate. -

Experience at JUMP by Cognixia
I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the incredible experience I had at JUMP by Cognixia. As a college graduate with a degree outside of IT, I was looking to transition into the tech industry and JUMP provided the perfect platform for me to achieve that goal. I would highly recommend JUMP by Cognixia to anyone looking to make a career change into the tech industry. -

A helpful bridge course! The lessons refreshed my previous knowledge and understanding while also introducing me to new concepts, and provided practical experience to cement those concepts. They also offer a slew of different resources, including additional coding review and interview prep, which are extremely useful to take advantage of. The course is also flexible in the fact that it isn't binding, so one could still search for jobs while taking this course. Overall a great and beneficial experience! -

I enjoyed the cohort I was with in Cognixia's Future Horizons program (I had to pick JUMP by Cognixia because I couldn't pick Future Horizons). Training goes over standard Java boot camp content in an abbreviated fashion. While it's better to learn straight from the source (or on your own), the lack of a cost makes this program a good learning support, especially with relatable instructors. I haven't experienced the job assistance yet, but they said they'd help after the main program while providing exercises for us to complete every two weeks after the program. -

This program has been great so far. I am coming into the last week now, and it's been an eye-opening experience to re-learn the fundamentals. The strongest point of this program is definitely the way in which the material is taught. The slides, exercises, and explanations really go deep and comprehensive. The material is taught in a way that is much more effective for learning than the way my University taught. I would highly recommend this program. Sean is a great instructor, and the recruiters are incredibly kind and helpful. -

Detailed and informative
It's a great course which goes through each topic in great detail with numerous demos to make sure not only you understand the topics base level but also it's use cases and detailed examples. The instructor is very friendly responding to any questions with great details to make sure there is no confusion. Overall I highly recommend this course to sharpen your java fundamentals. -

The JUMP program by Cognixia has proven to be an invaluable and pivotal point in my career. Their 10 - 12 week intensive training program taught me, and many others, the skills needed to excel in a field of technology that was completely new to most people. Throughout the training program, the instructors were incredibly knowledgeable about the topics they were discussing, patient with their students whenever they needed additional support, and generous with their time and support. After the training, Cognixia also supports their trainees to obtain a new job that is directly related to the stack of technologies in which they have been trained. In fact, Cognixia completely takes the burden of finding these positions off their trainees' backs, giving them more time to study and prepare for the actual interviews. It is due to all of these factors and more, that I both highly recommend the JUMP program by Cognixia and truly consider Cognixia to be a phenomenal choice for anyone seeking to either advance or change their career. -

JUMP Program saved me and established my career

When I embarked on my journey with the JUMP Program, I was seeking more than just technical skills. I was looking for a program that would reignite my passion for computer science and offer a supportive learning environment. This program did just that and more, playing a pivotal role in saving my computer science career.
One of the most remarkable aspects of the JUMP Program is their human-centric approach. They are one of the rare institutions that genuinely treat you as an individual, not just another student in their roster. When personal circumstances made it challenging for me to meet some of the terms of my contract, the JUMP Program worked with me compassionately and flexibly. This understanding and support were crucial during a difficult period in my life.
The curriculum is another area where the JUMP Program shines. It’s comprehensive, current, and practical, ensuring you’re industry-ready upon graduation. But what sets them apart is their focus on soft skills development and fostering a growth mindset. In today's tech landscape, where collaboration and adaptability are as vital as coding prowess, this focus is invaluable. The JUMP Program's emphasis on communication, teamwork, and problem-solving has been instrumental in my professional growth.
The instructors and mentors at the JUMP Program are not just educators; they are industry professionals who bring real-world insights into the classroom. Their passion for teaching and commitment to student success is evident in every interaction. They pushed me to challenge my limits, while always being there to offer guidance and support.
Thanks to the JUMP Program, I not only enhanced my technical skills but also developed a stronger, more resilient mindset towards my career and life challenges. They helped me rediscover my love for computer science and equipped me with the tools to excel in this dynamic field.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a coding bootcamp that goes beyond technical training and genuinely cares for your personal and professional growth, the JUMP Program is the place for you. They’re not just in the business of creating coders; they’re in the business of nurturing well-rounded, resilient, and skilled professionals.
PS: Big shout out to Paula and Sydney for always looking out for all of us during this time in the tech industry full of uncertainty and overwhelming imposter syndrome… -

Great Gen-AI Course
The Generative AI course delivered great insight on how to better use LLM's and Generative AI's. Prior to this course I couldn't quite understand how I could utilize and leverage these technologies, but since then I can confidently say I use Generative AI models for help in learning, clarification on topics, and idea workshopping. Thank you so much! -

Cognixia's Gen AI training has been an invaluable experience, equipping me with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the ever-growing prominence of artificial intelligence in the industry. Throughout the course, I found the delivery method to be highly engaging, with a strong emphasis on fostering constant discussion and hands-on experience with different AI tools. The use of easy-to-digest slides and academic papers also catered to learners seeking a deeper understanding of the subject.
The course covered a comprehensive range of topics within AI, including LLMs and their components like NLPs, model training techniques, prompt engineering methods, and ethical implications surrounding AI. This breadth of knowledge provided me with a solid foundation to leverage AI in today's world." -

Overall, I enjoyed the Full Stack Java Developer track in the JUMP program. It provided me with a strong foundation in building scalable applications using industry-relevant tools and the confidence to put my best foot forward. The best part of the program for me was working with my instructors and colleagues. Being surrounded by like-minded individuals who wanted and helped me to become the best version of myself professionally drastically expedited the growth process. -

Hello interested applicant:
This Python Data Engineering program, or whatever program you go through this program, will start you from the roots up into the branches and leaves of the topic that you are learning. That is to say, you will learn about the fundamentals of a topic, and also learn various in-depth knowledge and concepts from topics branching off from this main core topic.
In the case of Python Data Engineering, you will learn the fundamentals of Python, but also learn about the Pandas, PySpark, NumPy, Seaborn, MatplotLib libraries, not to mention AWS, UNIX, and Git!
That is a great portfolio of knowledge to showcase on your resume and to have ready for any data engineering interviews!
But wait! You will also get interview and soft skill prep, and opportunities for working with the company's clients! What a great deal, sign up now! -

It was a very good training program with a great combination of new material from beginners to high-intermediate level skill-sets. Covering Python, MySQL, and AWS in 10 weeks was ambitious, but the JUMP program does all three very well in that time. Mr. Charles Dunn is a fantastic instructor because he's charming, funny, and so familiar with the topics. There are ample opportunities for job placement, and the interview prep done with Mr. Vikram Verma and Ms. Sierra White are very helpful and good too. The templates for resumes, sample interview questions, and interview roleplay all helped me tremendously with becoming more comfortable interviewing--previously a great weakness of mine. -

Cognixia's JUMP program has absolutely fantastic teachers, mentors, and staff. Everyone I met that works there is kind, supportive, responsive, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. My interactions with the staff, along with viewing a sample of their Java coursework, was the reason I chose JUMP over other programs. I really appreciate their director and think that the program set such a good balance of professionalism while still feeling casual, approachable, and fun.
The only disclaimer is that you need to be willing to move...but honestly, if you're young and starting your career, why aren't you?? Where is your sense of adventure?? They have really great locations. For other people who are older or transitioning careers, that can be a big setback. I hope that in the future, they might consider offering some other tracks for people who are transitioning careers if the location is an absolute deal-breaker for them. I was doing a transition myself and it wasn't a problem for me at all- in fact, I really wanted to move and it is a great option to find something out of state (hard to do without connections)! However, my personal situation wasn't tied down to any one place.
My training was online and it worked very well- I did not feel like the training quality was affected. It built on what I learned from my technical degree (solid fundamentals and an MVC framework). I did the Full Stack Java course and we covered Java fundamentals (good review and still some new stuff for me even w/ plenty of Java in school), JavaScript/HTML/web stuff, Spring Boot, some AWS. The pace is challenging, but doable if you are willing to put in effort. It's more challenging for people that don't have programming degrees. You must demonstrate you are putting in effort to succeed, and everyone that finished the program is someone I think would make an excellent employee (hard working and team players).
I do hope they keep the online option for training even after the pandemic, because moving twice is definitely a lot to ask (one of my only complaints), and I don't really think it's necessary. However, maybe some people prefer that format for training.
One of the other perks about the program is the interview preparation. You WILL be prepared for interview questions, and they help you a lot with that!
It worked out great for me because I worked hard and spoke up in class, and I was rewarded for it - got a job at Microsoft after training! I only had a two-year technical degree and was coming from a previous music background. I loved working with their teachers and am glad to have met everyone I did through JUMP! Thanks to you all again! -

I joined Cognixia in May of 2020 and began training for Java and Springboot. Coming from a java background, this helped strengthen my programming skills and taught me a solid framework, Spring, which I see and use almost everyday in my current position. After the training I began the JUMPlus stage and I eventually found a great position with an incredible company. This boosted my career in ways that really would not have been possible without the JUMP program.
Aside from the business side of the program, everyone I interacted with was very kind and helpful. From the start of the program I could tell they wanted to get me hired and would do everything in their power to do so. -

This program isn’t your average coding boot camp. This program is a jump-start into the IT industry, but also a professional and personal development. Suppose you’re looking for a career change in IT, or eager to elevate your technological understanding; do not hesitate to join! The mentor-ship from 1 to 6 weeks is excellent. The best industry practice and soft skills is something you can take to any job if you're not selected. Advice:- Do the work and go beyond.
- Make use of all the resources.
- Stay for office hours.
- Build relationships!!
- This is a type of program that requires some sort of stability. If you're making a career change or want an IT job ASAP, I wouldn’t recommend this. The structure takes time to get results, if offered to join the company.

JUMP Program

The quality of the training depends on the instructors responsible for teaching a certain subject. Most instructors went above and beyond with their responsibility and arranged time to help students outside of training hours. However, there were some instructors whose teaching styles I was disappointed with, and sometimes the pacing of the course goes very fast due to the time constraint and the amount of material needed to be covered. During these times, I found myself working long hours after the training ended to teach myself the material and not fall behind. There is a mechanism in place to help the instructor improve their teaching style via weekly reviews in which we would rate certain areas of the training and give feedback to the instructor. I did see some improvement after feedback was given, but felt that the teaching style was still lacking in some areas. Materials and teaching styles used ranged from lecturing from slideshows, watching videos or pre-recorded lectures, coding along with the instructor, being given in-class challenges or homework, group and individual projects, etc. The slideshows were very informative, but it does get monotonous listening to lectures for a long period of time. What I liked was that some instructors would break up the lecture by showing us an example or having us do a challenge that incorporates what we learned so far from the slides. This pacing helped in keeping me attentive and not burning out. Pre-recorded lectures were also not the best method for training since the videos can be outdated and it's harder to follow along and ask questions. When brought up, the instructor did make an effort to find updated resources, but sometimes class time would be wasted learning from outdated resources and we'd have to learn the updated version on our own time. The workload was realistic for the most part, and if they weren't, instructors were open to the students' feedback and would give extensions on time. Projects not only helped with improving our technical and collaborative skills, but presenting them also helped to become familiar with using technical language. The program uses Moodle to organize the learning materials and also to distribute weekly assessments. I do feel like Moodle wasn't used to its fullest potential. For example, instead of emailing completed assignments, there's a feature in Moodle that allows students to turn in the assignments. I feel like this way is more organized, and it's also easier for students to look back at the assignments turned in. The organization of Moodle could also be improved, such giving the sections and folders descriptive names. For example, instead of "Week 2" or "Day 1," it would be helpful to name them after the subject being covered. In addition to technical skills, the JUMP Program assisted with soft skills, resume reviews, and interview practices. Once a week, or once every two weeks depending on the length of your training, a "Digital Mindset" assignment would be given out to help improve certain areas such as Adaptability, Digital Readiness, Agility, etc. These assignments consisted of watching TEDTalks, reading articles, and answering question via recorded videos. The resources were interesting and it was a nice break from technical assignments. Talking on camera also helped prep for interviews since they're done virtually. Regarding the resumes, I do disagree with some areas of the resume template we used to model ours after, such as having an objective since it seems outdated nowadays. Towards the end of the training, an interview roleplay is set up between the student and a talent developer. The questions asked here are not too technical, but I received valuable feedback from my session nonetheless and it made me feel more comfortable having done these mock-interviews when going into the real one. Overall, I personally did learn a lot from this program, including getting better at the skills that I came in with. The key thing to have in order to succeed in this program is motivation since a lot of self-learning is required. The environment is very supportive and I've made very meaningful connections with the other students. -

I was initially very nervous about the process. I received a message from a recruiter over linkedIn. A short conversation lead to a few interviews. I almost walked away when the recruiters asked for my private information, including SSN, over e-mail. When I told them I wasn't comfortable with that, their IT team set up a secure portal for me to share the information they needed.
After joining the program I again was nervous when I had to sign a loan for the training. The loan would be forgiven if I completed the training. If I happened to get the job the training was for and I represented the program poorly, I would once again be on the hook for the cost of the training.
The training itself was 3 weeks of lecture and tests; 8 hours a day, 5days a week. I learned the basics of interacting with a mainframe terminal, writing JCL and COBOL code. Along with the lectures, There were also plenty of opportunities to interact with employees of the company were training to join. This was a mentally exhausting and fun experience. Unfortunately this training had to be remote do to COVID-19.
I have been offered a position for the company we were training to join and I have accepted. The plan is to start working in about 2 weeks.
Overall I was nervous about a few steps in the process, but I am very glad I proceeded with caution. Now I'm getting prepared to start my career in the Computer Science field. -

The JUMP Training Program is a full-time 12-week technical training. Students are given practical exposure to real-world tech scenarios, to prepare them to hit the ground running on their first day of work. Students will be working, learning, and training with industry experts who have led tech companies. The training provided significant value to me. Probably the most helpful aspect of the training was Cognixia having access to specialized experts to provide training in specific areas as needed.
