Best Interview Preparation Program

The Interview Kickstart program was instrumental in preparing me for interviews. The mock interviews were particularly valuable, while the technical coaching sessions helped me address any technical uncertainties.
Although the classes occasionally ran a bit long, I found them to be engaging and overall quite helpful. The program also equipped me with the necessary skills to excel in behavioral interviews, and I received invaluable guidance from the career coaches.
I strongly recommend this program to anyone seeking to advance their career and secure a higher-paying technical job. -

I joined Interview Kickstart to become a great engineer who takes pride in her work and is confident in solving problems with integrity. Interview Kickstart does provide excellent resources and support to realize that objective. My learning experience at IK has broadened my perspective on software engineering. I am much better at my current job. I can now understand why tier 1 companies have such comprehensive interview processes. If you are willing to do the work, the IK curriculum ensures you will thrive at your new job. I am glad that I chose IK because I would prefer to put in the effort to become a great engineer than try some shortcuts to clear the interviews. In my experience, IK glows in:- Building fundamentals and solving problems systematically
- Excellent mentors who are ethical and eager to help
- Empathetic student success associates
- The student community of engineers who want to excel and are willing to help
- Mock interviews with senior engineers at tier 1 companies
- Set the realistic expectation. Even though IK advertises getting interviews ready in 12 weeks, most students take much longer. Having realistic goals makes it less stressful.
- Foundation videos are very long, a searchable resources index and guides would help to review and retain the information.
- Provide placement assistance.

Truly an awesome team, very professional, and I really enjoyed the entire course. More than everything, they have the best support team who are very responsive and are always eager to help. I have been a student for several months now, and no matter what, they care for their students, and I can't thank them enough! Kudos to the support team, without you, no matter how best the content is, IK would not be in the position where it is now. -

I loved most of the things about this program. It was very informative and cleared most of the difficulties I faced in FAANG companies, especially with system design and api design. Especially loved Nikhil's system design classes and Omkar's graph videos. If I had landed an interview with FAANG after I completed the program I would definitely have landed it, unfortunately, because of the recession all my interviews with FAANG got canceled, except for my second-tier company which I landed.
Cons - I am not sure why, but there were classes for spring and AWS-specific databases, which weren't all that informative or engaging or structured for that matter. I wish we had more in detail system design and graph classes instead of the above mentioned two.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

I joined IK to improve my problem solving skills as an engineer and I must say, the program went beyond my expectation. The pre-class contents are well put together, the live instructors are really great. I also love the fact that I have access to lots of mock interviews which really helped me to gauge my level on different topics and I used it to determine whether I am ready for the real interviews or not. Additionally, I love the fact that I could connect with the instructors, interviewers etc on Linkedin. To have a lifetime access to all the contents on uplevel is a great deal for me because I can reference them anytime I need to refresh my knowledge on the topics.
I would recommend IK to anyone who is looking to improve their problem solving skills and/or preparing for interviews.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

Amazing curriculum
Interview Kickstart has the best instructors in the industry and great interviewers. They helped me get an offer from linkedin in less than a year. Amazing curriculum, they teach you the basis first and then they move to advanced topics that will make medium topics a lot easier. If you are willing to put in the work, Interview Kickstart can be life-changing. At least it was for me. I never studied Computer Science (I studied other STEM field + had some work experience in Analytics), so I always felt I was at a disadvantage as I advanced my career from entry-level Data Science to Machine Learning Engineering. I can confidently say that IK can help you learn the technical background and mindset required to crack tier-1 company interviews. Not only that, but it can also give be a powerful tool to advance your career at your current job (As I've been preparing for a transition, I have been promoted from MLE, to Senior, to Lead MLE and feel more confident at work). All the instructors and mock interviewers I came across were highly experienced professionals in top companies. Not only did they have more than enough background to teach these concepts, but they were empathetic and had excellent teaching skills which is a rare combination to find. On top of all of that, you get the structure and support tools needed to stay on track (Great support staff). I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to invest in their career and their long-term growth.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

I took this interview kickstart course to get an idea of how the things work at big tech companies especially the ones from FAANG. Most of the instructors are currently working in FAANG companies are have previously worked with. One thing that I have learnt is just solving leet code problems is not enough. At Interview Kickstart, they teach you patterns and techniques to clear the tech interviews and the course is definitely laid out well and they also have mock interviews which comes with most of their courses. All in all, I would say its great for someone who is looking to make their careers into these big tech companies but at the end of the day, your own practice will take things to a different level. Special mention to their operations team. Those guys are so responsive. You have any issue regarding the course or anything in general, they just reply in minutes.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

I was in finishing my Masters in analytics while working full time as a big data consultant . I hadn’t given any interview for a decade and wanted to get some formal training to get into Tier 1 and Tier 2 companies to start as Data Scientist . I researched and ended up with interview kickstart in Dec2021. From the beginning the experience has been great . Initially the team followed up periodically in the to check on progress, any struggles with preparation. Instructors are from Tier 1 companies and most of them know what they are talking and was extremely helpful in answering question . I found the coding problems and technical problems challenging and great thing is you can clarify on any problem solving issues with the team during weekly TA sessions . Also they have 1:1 support for coding issues .
I didn’t use their mock interviews or 1:1 sessions since I changed my focus to different domain in the middle of my graduate curriculum and ended up as consultant with AWS as Data Architect. But I did use their notion behavioural exercises to prepare and review the behavioral questions with IK team. I found the cost to be little overpriced. If you are someone who is ready to be committed and give maximum for your interview preparation , the program maybe worth it.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

I joined Interview kickstart (IK) in January 2022 in hopes of transitioning into the Machine Learning Engineer profile. I am already a Senior Data Scientist, but wearing the ML Engineer's hat is whole different game. The task ahead was difficult and many told me it would take more time and experience to make the jump. However, I single mindedly focused on what was taught at IK and made it happen. Before the interview process, I wasn't clear as what might get asked during the interview process for the role I was targeting, let alone solve those problems during an actual interview. However, the instructors at IK not only demystified the entire interviewing process but also helped me master each aspect of interviewing to improve my overall problem solving ability.
IK not only covered the the most recent and frequently asked questions during the coding interviews, but the instructors also taught us techniques which helped me generalize my learning ability to a wide array of problems and apply it during live interviews to solve problems I haven't seen before. IK's section on system design was on a whole different level, the instructors were very experienced and again taught us easily modifiable approaches which we adapted to, based on the problem given during an actual interview. Whatever I learned materialized into measurable results and even during interviews, after solving the problem given out by the interviews, I could also solve every variation of the same interview question with added complexity in the given time frame. I cannot thank Interview Kickstart and the instructors enough for the help they have offered me.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

I was very hesitant abt taking IK with the pricing considered. But finally registered for this after looking at the reviews and attending the intro session. I must say it was one of my best decision. The course content is very well structured and the content by Deshpande is next level.
The weekend classes and mock interviews made huge difference for me in improving my technical expertise in DS& Algos , sys design and also improving my confidence because of the mock interviews. Mock interviews were really worth it and helped me to get confidence and get used to the interviews.
Yes, it is pricey but definitely worth it considering the content and well-structured format. Best ROI I got. Doubled my CTCStudent Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

It is a truly amazing program that helps you uplevel your knowledge and increases your interview preparation skills. Omkar's

I have several years of professional software development experience and love to solve coding and design problems. So, I constantly attempt new problems whenever I get time. This is true even before I joined IK. However, the interviews are getting tougher and tougher year over year. It's not easy to crack today's technical interviews without proper preparation. A good planning, structured learning, right tutors providing right guidance is extremely useful. I strongly feel IK provided all this.
They covered many types of topics (DS and algorithms, system design, domain-specific topics as well as behavioral). They also make it interesting by challenging you to solve the problems in a timed environment. The content is really good, and the videos are also available for offline viewing. Often times, I felt they are a bit lengthy but worth going through them at least once.
Overall, I am satisfied with my journey with them before landing on a new job.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

Keeping in mind the companies that I wanted to target, I was extensively looking for a course over the internet and found IK apt for the same.
It has been quite an extensive course, and the thing I like about it is that it's well structured and properly taught (Omkar Deshpande has done a great job breaking down every concept for easy understanding), not just to help you crack the interview but also to help you gain knowledge to get better at your workplace. As I come from a non-CS/IT background, it has helped me bridge the gap in my knowledge related to areas that are needed in the IT industry.

I was part of the Early Engineering program and IK helped me landing a job in one of the FAANG companies.
The whole structured program and the content is pretty good and detailed. The course is designed to cover all the major topics with different problem sets. The live classes are very interactive and the instructors are very accommodating to answer all the queries during the live session and if needed, they extend the classes too.
Assignment set and study material are also very helpful and engaging. All the weekly tests are also of very high quality and really helps to practice in timed environments.
For me, other than getting better at interview topics, overcoming the interview anxiety was very important and mock interviews helped me a lot there. The mock interviews feedback was also very thorough.
I would definitely recommend IK to anyone looking to up-level their career. Their preparation material, regular assignments and tests and all the support throughout the course helped me a lot.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

One of the Best Course To Prepare For Software Engineer Interview in FAANG+
Read more Read less of Sunil Kapil's review
Preparing for software interviews (tech) lot of work sprcifically FAANG and Tier I companies are entirely a different league. You need the right techniques to crack these big companies interviews. With time, interview process getting harder and more challenging. For working professionals this get 10X harder due to full time job and not much time to prepare for these intervies.
I have gone through the process personally and can already see the shift in my coding skills and system design skills. They have some of really good instructors for hard topics like TREES , GRAPHS and DYNAMIC PROGRAMMING problems. Once you go throgh the class and grasp the technique of solving these topics problems, you will be enjoying solving these problems.
However, You have to put the effort from your side to learn and work but IK will make the journey easy for you! Its a lot of work but knowing that you will eventual get to a place where you can ENJOY solving technical problems makes it all worthwhile.
Best parts:
Great learning material (truly world class curated over years).
1-on-1 coaching upon request(Once you see an expert solve a problem - things just seem to flow and make sense)
Practice tests and class problems ).
mock interviews (extremely useful in finding the blind spots in thinking and approach)
Support Period
You will become better Engineer after joining IK. My honest recommendation go for IK - if you want to become a better engineer not just crack a FAANG+ interview.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

I joined the interview kickstart in the Summer of 2021. Since then I have been blown away by the quality of content, I'm sure you have read that in other sources and the support that comes with it. The support is available almost 24/7/365 for your questions, scheduling help, and alternative coursework whenever and however needed. There's also a community of current and former students at every professional level in every domain of software engineering and related niche (ML, DS) who are friendly, understand your journey and challenges and help along the way as much as possible. After the live classes end the course is self-directed mainly but there are a lot of pre-made schedules available to copy, paste or adapt to your own personal situation and pace. Overall, I highly recommend interview kickstart if you feel un-directed, are anxious to try the interviews on your own, and can benefit from the experience, good structure, and mentorship, yes there may be a lot of free courses out there but if you are someone who can benefit from a structure that promotes accountability, discipline this will be worth looking into for you. The support and negotiation team goes above and beyond to accommodate urgent negotiation, offer deadlines, and mock interview request with select individuals based on the company you may be interviewing for. Soon after I joined, a friend of mine also joined and we are both very happy with the results and most importantly the growth and network of professionals we walked away with.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

I joined Interview Kickstart for the structure and material it provides, but ended up learning and gaining a lot more in return. The curriculum and material is structured to help with understanding the concepts in detailed manner such that it builds the thought process of how to approach each type of problems.
The foundation videos helps in building the concepts and thought process by providing detailed explanations.
The live classes and instructors are great and the alternate live classes are also provided to cover variety of topics/problems/patterns.
The time throughout the course and support period as well as beyond support period gives great networking opportunities to connect with alumni as well as to form study groups that helps a lot.
There is no limit on the material or help we can seek during the course and support period, be it in terms of videos/recordings/live classes, extra topic help, career coaching, technical coaching, code review, System Design mini mocks, etc.
Also, all the material provided during the course and support period has life time access.
The Mock Interview provided are also a great asset in practicing the interviews.

- I found the career coaching and technical coaching sessions to be very useful and insightful.

iOS Engineer Course Review

I wholeheartedly recommend Interview Kickstart. Their program is extremely well thought out. They clearly have put great care into the pacing and content of this course. The instructors are consistently amazing, both in terms of skill in their respective areas of expertise, as well as teaching abilities. The program rounds things out with an incredibly well run Operations team that is friendly, knowledgable, and quick to respond to any question or request for assistance.
I took the iOS Engineer specialization track. It was a relatively new program for the company, and was understandably less polished than their core data structures and algorithms material, but nonetheless it was very well done. The instructors were amazing developers and teachers. They covered just the right level of depth and breadth of material, and it was all directly relevant to interviews I have since done in the real world.
I had done a lot of prep studying data structures and algorithms (about 3 years of 5-10 hours per week while working as a full time iOS dev) prior to starting with Interview Kickstart (aka IK), but I had failed to pass phone screens up to that point. IK provided me with the structure, pacing, motivation, and support I needed to finally get over the hump. I received an offer for iOS developer recently at a company that I am very excited to join.
IK helped me get to this point, which I'm both excited about and grateful for. But I'm also excited that I get to be part of the IK community going forward. There is a large and ever growing group of IK alumni, and based on what I've seen so far, it seems that IK does a very good job of leveraging that community to benefit its members. IK graduates are at every big tech company, many of whom are hiring managers themselves now. IK is a powerful source of connections for referrals and knowledge sharing. The community is hardly the only ongoing benefit - I also get lifetime access to the course content, which I use almost every day to continue my learning. I also routinely get invites to new lectures and classes that are being added to the program. I don't remember hearing about this perk while I was considering joining IK, but it's another delightful little detail that makes me love IK.
Finally, perhaps the biggest thing that originally sold me on IK was its promise that in addition to the course helping you become capable of passing interviews at top tier tech companies, the program would make you a significantly better developer in your day to day job. I feel that IK delivered on this last promise in spades. I became a lot better at my current iOS dev job as a side benefit to this course.
It is important to note that a key component of the promise of improvement and success that IK makes to its students is a good faith effort on the part of the student. This good faith effort amounts to *a lot* of work. I felt that IK did a great of job setting my expectations appropriately prior to my starting the class. They made it clear that if I didn't put in the effort, I would not be successful. IK is not a place to go to magically get good at passing technical interviews. You have to earn it. There will probably be times that you feel overwhelmed and afraid that you might fail. This is normal, expected, part of the journey, and navigating this difficulty is baked into the program. There is always someone available to help you get unstuck, back on track, and encourage you to stick with it. I tried this journey on my own for years without success. It took me 8 months of hard work with IK to get there. It probably would have taken me another 3 years on my own. During those additional 2+ years of waiting, I would have been leaving tens of thousands of dollars per year on the table.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

I've been taking the backend engineering course in Interview Kickstart for about two months.
So far I enjoyed the experience a lot. I believe what I learned from classes and study materials can really help me to solve actual coding challenges since the course is focusing more on helping its student building up the mindset for solving a problem, including how to analysis the question, clarify the problem, transform or break-down it into simpler problems and apply what we learned for solve those basic problem.
The Student Success Advocate(SSA) is highly engaged to me, and even call me on the phone when I missed one of the live class.

IK provided me with the necessary knowledge and tools for cracking the interviews for Tier 1 companies. Uplevel platform proved to be really useful while preparing for the online and in person rounds. Apart from DSA questions, IK provides so many other resources like one on one, mock interviews, technical discussions, support period. I personally enjoyed System Design lectures which provided an edge to my knowledge. I feel more confident after taking course. It really is a great platform. Kudos to IK team.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

A very well rounded program

I am enrolled in the ML Track and know a few others who enrolled in other tracks( Backend, Frontend ). The program is very well structured, with a focus on building a strong foundation in coding/system design( ML + non ML) /ML domain, and is taught by instructors who are extremely knowledgeable.
Most of the instructors are from FAANG companies and are very open to guiding the students during or even outside the sessions. Help is also available through mini mocks, career coaching, technical coaching , and behavioral coaching 1:1 sessions which in my view is one of the best parts of the package.
The product managers regularly seek feedback from the current and past cohorts which shows the IK teams' focus on improving an already excellent program. A Student success advisor is assigned to each student who is always available to help with planning the preparation and ensure that the students have access to all the resources to be successful.
There is a support team that works around the clock and is super responsive. All of the above and more make IK one of the best programs for tech interview prep currently available and I am very happy with the results so far.
I wholeheartedly recommend this program to anyone who wants to do well in tech interviews.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

AS
Embedded Systems Interview Course

I used IK to help me move into an Embedded Software develpoment role from a Validation role.
The DSA curriculum by Omkar was a great learning experience, although I did not enjoy the weekly sessions by a few others. The curriculum itself was very extensive for me. The Embedded curriculam was great too although it needed some restructuring and better weekly instructors. Raghu, the head instructor and Glen were great! Overall, IK was an excellent platform for a disciplined and structured interview prep. Needless to say, one has to put in their efforts to benefit from this program.
IK's mock interview sessions were extremely helpful in reducing my overall anxiety and nervousness. The interviewers provided great feedback and were very accomodating. I was also able to meet up with many people from my field through their Discord server.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

"The best is yet to come" I believe in it, and Interview Kickstart makes your dreams true. This program allowed me to learn and practice the skills needed to land a job in Data Engineering.
The roller coaster journey I experienced with Interview Kickstart is worth it. Although the intense weekend classes and homework material demand you to utilize mock interviews, it not just removes the fear of interviews and accelerates learning and brainstorming.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart

IK is great for up-leveling your skills. One instructor which stood out for me was Omkar Deshpande. I have never had an instructor who is so clear in his thought process. His style of teaching really helped in understand all the Data Structure and Algorithms topics. Earlier I had never studied about DP & graphs but after watching Omkar's videos I was not able to understand the concept but was also able to solve many LC problems. Another great advantage is the study group formed in this course. Very helpful and really motivating.Student Success Advocate of Interview Kickstart
