I think for me the best part was working with my mentor Bruno Saez Lopez. The bootcamp gives you some good resources to build your portfolio. They email you weekly with reminders. Its a good experience -

I loved the bootcamp and I do not regret anything about it. My goal was to learn how I can apply UX knowledge in practice and on industry standard and I will say yes I actually achieved that. The resources given to me by IDF was really REALLY good and was really helpful and the great thing about it is, you get to keep them even after graduating. My instructor was really helpful and he really was there for me anytime I needed him and took me through step by step process in the building process and did so patiently. I have grown confident since I started this process. -

Great Bootcamp
The bootcamp was great and I would definitely recommend it. The combination of being able to learn on your own, try things in real projects and then get feedback from a mentor regularly is great for learning both on a theoretical level as well as practically, all while getting ready for a job in UX! -

I absolutely loved my experience with the Interaction Design Foundation during the Get a New Job in UX Design Bootcamp! I had a very specific goal going in of making a portfolio site based on past projects I'd never developed case studies for and was able to get one-on-one guidance and advice on doing so. After a bit of a rocky start with an advisor I didn't work well with, I reached out and the support team was super responsive and switched me to a mentor who was perfect. He was very supportive of my goals for the program and has been a tremendous advisor as I get career ready. -

This was a great bootcamp. I had a beginner knowledge base and was looking to do a more in depth project with the help of a mentor and this did exactly that! -

Get A UX Job Bootcamp team is a bootcamp done by Interaction design Foundation (which is a place I can highly recommend for studying UX.)
I think this boot camp is very good for UX beginners and they give you lots of guidance and support but if you are already more advanced you need real projects, which are rather hard to start on this kind of boot camp (that was my case) Still I could have more detailed talks with my mentor regarding my current materials (portfolio, CV ) and learn how to better write case studies. The downside is that I do not really have new content (ex case study) on my portfolio after this course, but overall my materials improved. So go for it if you are beginner, think twice if you are more advanced. -

I’m a graphic designer, I wanted to specialize in UX for a long time ago till finally this year. After pandemia, I saw a big opportunity in the digital world and I said, this is the moment! I started really excited! 😬💃🏽 During the Bootcamp I got a little lost because sometimes my mentor was not as present as I thought she will be. Sometimes her wifi didn't work so we couldn't conclude any of our meetings. I was so concentrated on the course that I tried to don't pay attention to that. -

Platform and courses are exceptional. Bootcamp is more ideal for those ready to apply for jobs but could use direct assistance creating and refining portfolio. Membership to IxDF is well worth the cost in exchange for access to the massive volume and quality material available on IxDF platform. -

I have had a very positive experience as an IxDF student.
Mentor: I was delighted with the option to choose a mentor that matched my aspirations and career goals. Anina Lambrechts, as my mentor, really inspired me and helped build confidence as a UX professional. We had weekly calls for the duration of the course, portfolio review, and job preparation interview.
Course structure: Tailored to student's needs. One can choose from structured projects or may work on a personal real-life UX project.
Student Perks: A lot of curated resources to learn from as well as discounts for relevant programs and tools, together with a special offer for website hosting and domain name.
On the course completion, the student gets an industry-recognized Certificate!
Call with a Recruiter: And a special thank you to Brian Young from the creative recruitment firm Creative Circle for support and valuable feedback on the portfolio, interview preparation, and really anything that relates to getting into that 'magic door of your dream role"!
And, another special thank you to Alec & Student Support IDF Bootcamp Team, that helped me to navigate the course with ease, efficiently replied to all queries, and made sure that I get the best experience possible!
Thank you, IDF Team. You are wonderful and making such a positive difference! -

UX Bootcamp
This bootcamp was great. I learned a ton and loved having a mentor. The instructors and participants are from all over the world so I got a very broad view of how UX is used around the world. I also got a detailed view from each course. I learned so much and am able to apply it to my current job. The cost is so affordable as well. -

This curriculum is robust and gives you a real "choose your own adventure" feel. You are paired with a mentor, that you get to meet with regularly, work on real projects, and at the same time, have dozens of courses at one time to choose from to really cater to your needs and interests. I have graduated, but am still able to use the platform to learn and earn certificates in the areas that I am interested in. -

I used Interaction Design Foundation's UX Bootcamp to help get me the portfolio needed to land a good design job. It is an accelerated course that skips a curriculum in favor of one-on-one time with a mentor. I would not recommend going into the program with no UX knowledge or experience. I had taken a few IDF UX courses before hand and watched countless YouTube videos in order to get me to a point that I felt comfortable jumping head first into UX Design. Be diligent in choosing your mentor. Research them, look at their portfolios. it is imperative to find a mentor that will challenge you. You can have IDF send you as many options as you like until you find the right match. If you come to the bootcamp prepared, have an understanding of Design Theory, choose the right mentor, and put in the hard work, your experience will be great. My UX portfolio did help me land a job and I am very grateful for the experience. -

Firstly, hats off to the amazing team at IDF for putting together such an outstanding programme. I've done my fair share of courses over the last year and I can honestly say that none of them come close to what I got out of this course. The mentorship aspect of this bootcamp was by far the highlight, and I could not have asked for a better mentor. He went above and beyond, offering incredible insights, feedback and collaboration. I can’t speak to how well this course will teach you the fundamentals of UX, as I came in with some previous experience, but if you’re looking for some industry guidance and some help getting your portfolio ready then I think you will get so much out of these 8 weeks! -

Highly recommend the Bootcamp, and the IDF courses in general. The mentorship was amazing, very helpful and resourceful, although I suggest getting yourself familiarized about some basic foundational concepts before starting to get you ahead and make it easier to focus on your Bootcamp projects. The guiding materials and briefs provided are very useful as well. -

The stuff member is very responsive and helpful about my questions as well.
Above all, I would suggest this program! -

Just 6 months ago, I did not have an idea that UX Design even existed and now it is what keeps me going in my career and even in my personal life. Once I was ready to learn and pursue this field, I collected as much "free" resources online. However, it was difficult to structure my learnings and there were just too many information out there that I thought might even confuse and slow me down from getting to my goal which is to establish my career as a UX Designer. I found bootcamps to be kickstarter. Among all bootcamps I compared online, I liked that IDF had its own very interactive community plus very helpful course materials. I'm glad I did not have big of a budget to spend for a bootcamp otherwise I would have spent more than 5x of the price I paid for something similar or even of less long term value! I guess one thing that can be improved is the management of the mentor's load of mentees. I just felt like that sometimes I needed more feedback than I was getting because my mentor was in a hurry for the next sessions. Other than that, he really helped me in so many ways including boosting my confidence and be able to share my work with others. 3 months later, I got hired by a fintech company using the same portfolio I created from the Bootcamp. I am still on my membership, enjoying the perks of learning with other new and existing UX Designers around the world. Cheers IDF, well done. -

I Really recommend the UX Bootcamp and the IDF.
first, IDF gives good material that makes easier to understand all the process for UX and UI framework, I had worked in projects before, I had issues to present my work, lack of strategy to undertake them. Thank this UX Bootcamp now I can undertake a project with confidence, This UX Bootcamp allows you to choose between improve your current portfolio or make new projects from scratch. In my case, I chose both, and I got feedback from Julia DeBari my coach who really analyzed my Portfolio and she gave me key feedback that helped me to raise the bar. It was a lot of work, like facing my own process. It is worth taking this UX Bootcamp, my Current online portfolio is really working. I did several interviews in the last months of 2020 and finally, In January, get a new job that really likes me. -

The boot camp provided me with a very knowledgeable, communicable, and fun mentor UX Senior consultant Julie who helped me understand UX design from research to designing in Figma. Her expertise helped me grow from basically 0 to knowing enough to get my foot in the door in the UX field. She helped me grow daily and responded to my emails with inquiries promptly, which helped me move and educate myself quickly. The mentor is incredible and I thank her for helping me learn so much in a two month span. The only thing I could ask for improvement is better help with job navigation- Julie helped with as much as she could from her side but I think IDF could improve in hosting either resume review workshops, or guidance with applying- because that was the most difficult issue I faced after graduating. I’m currently working as a UX/UI intern and am hoping to grow into a position in a few months time, I just need more hands on experience working. Otherwise, I would definetely recommend IDF for the incredibly knowledgeable professionals in the UX field that you can undeniably learn ALOT. -

I did quite a bit of research on UX bootcamps prior to taking this course. This was by far the most affordable option coming in at around $1100. Although price is a factor, this was not the primary reason why I took this course. I found the choice of mentors to be excellent and the online curriculum to be solid. Being an experienced visual designer, I wanted to focus on the principles of UX design in order to build some case studies for my portfolio. This bootcamp allowed me to do that on my own time. That said, you have to be self-motivated to take full advantage of this program and take note that the online courses do not align with the bootcamp in any specific order. If you are new to UX Design, I'd suggest taking a few of the IDF's courses prior to doing the bootcamp. -

I recently completed the Get A UX Job Bootcamp through the Interaction Design Foundation as part of my transition into UX design. Through the Bootcamp, I was paired with an amazing mentor who went above and beyond to help me create my portfolio website, including an in-depth project I could showcase. I had a great experience overall and would recommend this to others looking to become UX designers. -

I had a really good mentor for the duration of the bootcamp; they were very active and helped me to stay on top of the projects. The resources provided by the Interaction Design Foundation are really helpful and informative, and they provided a good choice of project briefs. My mentor helped me pick the right projects to work on, both in terms of my interests and what would help with my portfolio. There were also weekly updates from the Interaction Design Foundation to give an indication of where you should be with your progress, but there is also flexibility to allow for a busy schedule. I would recommend this bootcamp as it is really helpful for building a UX portfolio, whether from scratch or improving your existing one, and with a subscription to the courses available from the IDF you get all the resources to help you on your journey. It is also really good value for money. -

The largest benefit was working with a mentor. I am so so grateful I was matched with someone who continued to encourage me throughout the process. I don't think I would have had the confidence to go forward with freelancing and I'm so glad I did. Additionally, I needed assistance with my portfolio and understanding the UX job market. Unfortunately, I can't speak too much to the coursework because 2020 continues to be a trying year, resulting in significant changes in my capacity. Nonetheless, I will say the staff at IDF were extremely understanding. As an IDF member, I'm taking some of the recommended coursework now, even though the bootcamp is over. The platform and itself is definitely a great resource and I'm happy to be a part of the community. -

Even though I had other expectations of it, as I thought it would be more like an online class; my experience with their mentorship program was great. My mentor Hannah was awesome and she gave me great feedback. So if you’re good with a more independent study kind of program, this is the right bootcamp for you. -

Bootcamp
Much more affordable than other Bootcamps and more focused on developing a portfolio rather than didactic teaching. I think this is definitely more useful as you can learn the UX basics yourself from content in the web. The project briefs provided really guide you through the process of designing a well-researched case study. -

The IDF bootcamp was a great experience for me. I got a job within weeks of finishing my portfolio with a 35% pay increase. The mentorship was superb, very knowledgable with lots of years of experience in the field. I recommend this camp especially for anyone like myself who's transitioning from visual arts to UX. -

I came from a fashion design background with very little prior knowledge about UX/UI design, and I registered the Bootcamp with skepticism and just wanted to see if I would actually like it. I'm so glad I went with IDF UX Bootcamp, the price is very reasonable, and the mentor they paired me with is experienced and supportive, in the end, I was able to complete two solid UX case studies, which I feel confident to present to future job opportunities. I highly recommend the Interaction Design Foundation to anyone who wants to learn UX/UI design! -

Definitely a great bootcamp for a reaonable price.
If you feel you know enough theory and wants to put it to practice, this is the place to be. You get to choose your mentor and he/she will support and help you in this short (8 weeks but intense journey. In the end, you'll have at least one full project to showcase in your portfolio. Now you just have to apply and get that new job!
Oh and, I almost forgot to mention, within the price is included access to IDF online courses which are ideals to keep on improving on some specific areas. Definitely worth it! -

Career change from web designer to UX designer

I have been a web designer for 5 years and as time went on, more and more of the projects I was assigned to required knowledge about user experience. Getting into UX became a necessity and when I saw that I could join for a price close to 1,000 USD, I decided to enroll. Signing up for this course was one of the best career moves I ever made. I got a UX job before I finished the program, so I can definitely recommend this course for everybody thinking about getting into UX. -

Not a well-structured course
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
I completed the UX Fundamentals bootcamp. Overall, the content provided was great, but everything was way too rushed especially in the last 4 weeks of class. It had nothing to do with procrastination- they had way too many items due back to back to squeeze everything into 10 weeks. I barely slept for the last 4 weeks of this class. It was impossible to get through all the course content and learn effectively plus produce good quality work. They do not teach you how to use the tools effectively enough to apply them and create your prototype. Basically you have to learn how prototype mostly on your own, create the prototype, test with real users, and write a report on your test results in 2 weeks. On top of this this you have to create a case study document and a presentation and present in the following week. I know it is a bootcamp, but considering that it was supposed to be part time and ideal for beginners, it was not designed in a way where one could learn and get through the content and create a case study that really usable for a portfolio.
I liked the teacher and the content and overall experience, but I do not think I gained a lot from the overload of material and assignments. It might be better for someone who does not work currently or works part-time. The course really could be structured better to provide adequate time to learn how to use the tools and create a prototype and work of the final case study. One thing I am glad about is that with the bootcamp you do get a membership for year to take other courses with IxDF. Overall if you are planning on being job-ready after a bootcamp and it's your first time learning UX- i would say it's not very likely with this course. I did not go in thinking I would get a job right away, but I thought I would have learned/ gained enough to create a case study worth using in a portfolio, but I still have a long way to go. -

The bootcamp was a great experience for me to continue to learn after graduating college. My mentor gave me so much great feedback, and the resources were also great.
