The MIT DSML certificate through Great Learning was well worth the investment. With my PhD in Human Communication and Conflict Management from Arizona State University, I already had a statistics background, but I was not super familiar with Python coding. Not only did the course provide a great deal of background information and prework for Python coding, we were also allowed to complete our projects as either a data analyst who programmed or as a data science manager who presented the analyses. I chose the latter, and I'm grateful for the two options. Vineet Mishra was my program manager, and he was super supportive and helpful. The program is robust, and as others have said, the curriculum was comprehensive. -

I enjoyed thoroughly right from the day 1 of PGP-AIML course. PMO team was very supportive in providing heads-up on the learning model, orientation and overall program support was really organized nicely. We had the flip learning model introduced and instructor led classes was very well planned during my weekends. Additional instructor led sessions were another a supportive one to learn real time case-studies. I would strongly recommend this course those who are interested to pursue AI and ML. The hands-on projects helped me to achieve and increase the on-the-job learning experience. Should We Create Yet Another Human Think Tank Collaboration? Like many of you, I’m just now finishing my Great Learning course from MIT in AI, ML, and Data Science. However, unlike you, I am 85 years old, so my goals and objectives are probably quite different from yours. I signed up out of curiosity and with some trepidation, as my background is in language, linguistics, and in WORDS, not numbers. Despite a poor background in mathematics and no formal experience in statistics, as an independent multicultural consultant and community development person, I’ve managed many million dollar budgets and have provided professional guidance and funding for teams of scientists, researchers and educators in several academic and technical disciplines. Mostly, I signed up because I’m hungry. I am fascinated by what’s happening to us, to all of us, as humans, and I want to know what role to play in this critical time of transition. For each of us, as we wake up each morning on our own side of this tiny planet, do we check ourselves out to see how we’re doing? Are we ok, doing well? Do we know how to be happy? Are we being fully human? Are we building a world that’s worthy of all that’s best in us? Can we even do that? What are these tools, and how can I use them to make my life, my world, amazingly and almost miraculously better? Might these tools hold the key that enables me, as an earthling, to become the best human “me” that’s possible? I am not an algorithm or a bot. This is being written freehand by me, a human, just a sort of smart and adventuresome old lady sitting here with my laptop and a cup of coffee; here in this resilient solar-powered home I built; here on earth; thinking about YOU out there. You reading this. You thinking about what to do with your life. You, imagining what it would be like to become the best human possible So I urge you to jump on board this amazing space ship. Couple of months back I decided to learn something new so I choice Machine learning course “No code machine learning and AI” from MIT delivered by Great Learning, and it was great learning experience so far. Well planned Online training material, mentor sessions and practical hands-on case studies. It was quite impressing the way they have design the program. They took the baby steps first sharing pre-work online material than schedule the mentor sessions. Pursuing this with other multiple full-time engagements might be challenging at times due to the rigor, but the program managers are quite accommodating and ready to help when needed. Each module contains lectures, case studies, hands on and mentoring session and other tools which makes it easier to gain deep understanding of the concepts. When I signed up I was afraid this was going to be another certificate site where you just watch videos but not actually learn anything. The content is actually well paced and the weekly sessions with an actual instructor who is in the industry are very well done and eye opening. They really bridge the gap from tutorial hell. Another thing worth mentioning is that the time investment is truly at least 5-10 hours a week. Some projects actually take at least 8 hours in addition to the tests. This course has exceeded my expectations for an intensive data science and machine learning course in depth and breadth. It comprises 7 modules exploring Python and statistics, unstructured data and clustering, regression and prediction, classification and hypothesis testing, deep learning, recommendation and networking and graphical models. Each module is complemented with two-to-three-hour lecture videos from MIT professors, two-hour mentored learning sessions taught by experienced industry practitioners, multiple case studies with full-code Jupyter notebooks provided and lecture notes. I was assessed with test questions about the concepts in each module. In addition, I had to complete three projects that required me to combine the skills I learned and my business knowledge to provide commercial solutions in fictional case studies. The teaching methods, course materials and assessments are crucial to my understanding and applications of the course content. Also, the Great Learning team provided me with a lot of support during the course period, which facilitated the course delivery and aimed at producing great learning outcomes for every student. When I applied to this program, I had zero experience and knowledge in both Python and Data Science. I was skeptical if I could do this, but I really-really wanted to get familiar with this area. Starting from scratch, I am thrilled to share that just three months later, I have gained the ability to proficiently handle all the technical aspects within the notebook, do all the analysis, write reports, and present the results with all the recommendations. I started with the pre-work materials one month before the program started. It was so thoughtful of the program team to let us get familiar with the subject before the course started. It was very helpful for me, as I did not have any experience in programming. The amount and quality of provided studying materials was well balanced and sufficient (video lectures, recordings, articles, summaries of the lectures, practical examples etc). To get comfortable with new knowledge, I had to review some of the materials repeatedly. I was consistently captivated by the lectures delivered by MIT professors; they were truly awe-inspiring. Missing even a single lecture felt out of the question. Amazing support from mentors to see how all the theory is applied into practice and it was absolute magic for me. A lot of practical examples. It's a realm where one can truly grasp the inner workings of the world—an immensely inspiring experience. I should also mention the program manager support in all the organizational issues, all the questions, all the support during the course, check-in calls on how I was doing. That made me feel so connected like during offline study. In summary, this journey has been nothing short of amazing—a personal milestone that I hold dear. Throughout this experience, I was consistently struck by the sheer awesomeness of it all. The incredible people, the fascinating subject matter, the sheer coolness—it all resonated deeply with me. I found myself yearning not just to be part of this world, but to contribute meaningfully to its richness and innovation.

My domain is Operational Technology for Critical Infrastructure focusing on Digital Transformation & Cybersecurity. I was a bit skeptical when I signed up for a Data Analytics Program with coding. However, Great Learning & MIT proved me wrong. The entire 12 weeks was a beautiful learning experience with excellent content and perfect delivery. The program surprised me with ample opportunities to interact, network, and be tested. The pace at which the entire course was orchestrated was the highlight, especially for a senior consultant like me. The best part was the handholding we received throughout the program and specifically during the capstone project. The final presentation was the icing on the cake, really enjoyed it.
Also, special thanks and gratitude to my program coordinators - their support, help, and assistance were prompt and exemplary.
Overall a great learning experience and an excellent program for any professional or student who aspires to use Data Analytics skills to their existing domain knowledge and advance in their respective domains.

I had a truly wonderful experience with this course by MIT delivered through Great Learning. I feel that I was able to upskill very effectively thanks to the extremely well-balanced curriculum, and the course had us deliver several fully-formed projects, combining this way theoretical and practical learning modalities.
By well-balanced I mean: starting from Python, statistics, probability and the fundamentals of applied data science, we studied our way through a large set of machine learning algorithms and their theoretical underpinnings, up to and including building some neural networks - and beyond. We weren't pressed or quizzed on our mathematical prowess, but for the curious, all the mathematical underpinnings of these systems were also explained. Additionally, practical case studies were given that covered a number of areas of the industry, including genomics, marketing, greentech, finance, sales, and even the medical applications of things like neural networks.
There was concern among some students that the weekly live classes would not be sufficient by themselves, and I would tend to agree. Although we were treated to classes by industry specialists from companies like Amazon, Oracle or Verizon, there is so much that can be communicated within just a few hours. But all of the material of the live classes and more was covered during the preparatory video sessions and in the various handout documents we received, and each module had as much optional material (ungraded) as core content.
The delivery platform itself was good to great, with some room for improvement.
Professional placement assistance was also fantastic, again with the possibility to get our resume and online presence reviewed by experienced leaders within the industry.
All in all, for the diligent student, there is a lot to be had and a lot to be learnt in a course like this, and I feel it can truly help to kickstart one's career as a data scientist.
I can without any exaggeration recommend this course as one of the best upskilling experiences I have ever had. The MIT pedagogy and the sheer brilliance of the professors shine through, and the Great Learning staff really go out of their way to make the delivery easy.Great Learning of Great Learning

I was a bit apprehensive at first. Having learning disabilities makes education at this level difficult. But, the instructors were so engaging and took time to answer and work with everyone. Glory, our program manager, is awesome! Unlike university where I went decades ago, she worked with me and set me up for success. She genuinely wanted me to pass.
I love it and STRONGLY suggest everyone try it. If you're wanting an MIT level education, this will get you there.
Pros:
The emotional support. Starting this class in the middle of chemo was hard enough. They made it possible.
The course work was not saturating. It was broken out into smaller chunks - eating the elephant 1 bite at a time.
The videos and the corresponding skills tests were hard at times but being able to see where I went wrong on the skills test helped me understand the question better.
Learning Python... not my favorite language but they made it fun and now I have a little more respect for it.
Cons:
The only con I have is there was a slight language barrier due to different nationalities of the instructors but the ability to go back and watch the MLS again was very helpful.

The inclusion of revision sessions further supplemented conceptual and coding skills.
