I wasn't really sure what to expect from a 24-week course - would I really learn new skills that I could apply to a job?  Yes, yes, a million times yes!  This course exceeded my expectations is so many ways and I learned a ton of amazing new skills.

First - the instructional staff really know their stuff and it showed.  Our instructor, Hannah, was passionate about UX/UI and was able to make the xontent come alive each class.  I still hear her words, "You are not the user" and it is so true.  Deapite what you think you know about your users, the research techniques we applied in class helped us rally understand what motivates users and what is important to them.  The TA's added value and where a great source of feedback.

Second - the only way you can really learn UX/UI is by doing it.  The combination of in class activities, homework and group projects let's you apply what you learned to real life scenarios.  Honestly, I was nervous about the group projects, but embrace those opportunities to work with others - embrace their strengths and take the opportunities to share your strengths with others.  This is a benefit that they don't talk about that was very valuable for me.

Third - this bootcamp is serious work!  You need to be committed to putting in the work both in and out of class.  If you think you can wait until the day before an assignment is due to start working on a project, you might be in trouble!  I kept up with the assignments and broke the projects up into pieces and developed a schedule to stay up to date.  I could definately tell when I didn't stay on track and had a few late nights making up for it. User testing is also a big part of the overall process, so make sure you have access to a good group of willing testers or be prepared to spend time at the local coffee house asking for volunteers.

This was one of the hardest programs that I have been involved in but it was worth every minute of the experience. I met an amazing group of designers that willingly shared their expertise and knowledge with each other and I know we are all going on to do amazing things!

As I'm writing this review about 6 hours after our last class, reflecting on the last 6 months of intense curriculum, I can't help but feel relieved that it's over but also feeling excited about what the future holds for me now.  Taking this course was the best thing I could have done for my future, hands down.  The curriculum content, homework and projects were overwhelming at times, but the support we received from the TAs, instructor, SSM and Career Services helped me to keep pushing through to the end.  Having a full-time job and a full-time family, it was tough to stay focused sometimes and manage my time efficiently, however the staff was amazing and more than willing to work with us when we had issues.  The only thing that I couldn't take advantage of was the tutoring sessions - I had to reserve a time slot at least 24 hours in advance minimum and I had to present the issue I was having when signing up, but by the time my session had arrived I had already figured it out and moved on so I would cancel.  It would've been nice if tutors were available as soon as 2-3 hours from signing up for sessions.  Overall this was an awesome experience and I would recommend it to anyone who has a love for coding and web design.

This was a 6 month (24 week) coding bootcamp. I'm a recent graduate, and am very pleased with the experience. The staff was knowledgeable and very supportive throughout the entire experience. It is a hectic pace due to the nature of the material combined with the time constraints! It will definitely require outside study of at least 20 hours a week, bear that in mind! It is one hundred percent worth it though. Looking back on how much I learned, and remembering how lost I felt on day one, it is truly remarkable how well the instructional staff does with the time given. Definitely recommend this course!

Full Stack Flex Bootcamp Part-Time was defenitely a wonderful learning experience. The instructors and the TAs were all great. Esterling was one of the instructors. He went above and beyond to help everyone in the class. I can recall at least four late nights Esterling was willing to help me debug my code through Xoom. He also had extra help sessions where he covered topics that weren't covered in class. If you are a bootcamp student, I highly recommend following his youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/EsterlingAccime). His tutorials are easy to understand. The TA's Jack, Chris, Phil, James all displayed a real passion for the subject matter and were all very approachable and willing to to help out. I made some amazing friends, who are people I never would have met without this experience. I learned more in a short period of time than I would have thought possible.  It was hard to keep up with the course material and the career services material, as there was a lot to learn in 24 weeks. The biggest letdown of the Bootcamp was only 3 employers/companies showed up for the Demo day, after all the effort that went into building our portfolio :(

The GA Tech Cyber and Network Security Boot Camp is one of the best investments I've ever made.

As a senior IT professional coming from software development, I was lacking experience in IT operations, and especially around information security. As my responsibilities grew, I needed to fill that gap, and be able to understand and assess every aspect around cybersecurity.

GA Tech is one of the best insitutions in the country for students of all ages, including its professional education campus, so I knew this was the right path for me. Classes are taught by professional and certified security experts, who make sure that we understand how to apply in real life the principles we learn.

I would recommend prospective students who are interested in learning more about cybersecurity to enroll in this bootcamp and not being discouraged by the intensity and the fast-paced program. It is challenging but very rewarding, and it will open a lot of new possibilities, regardless of your past experience in IT.

This is hands down an incredible program full of inspirational people. I browsed around the internet for a web development program that was an in person experience when I came across this particular one. I think being in person and having opportunities for collaboration with your instructors/TA’s or even your classmates is such a huge benefit when it comes to diving into an area such as web development. This fit with my full time work schedule perfectly and although it was quite a challenge to juggle, the amount of support you’ll receive makes it very doable. They have a great career support program that helps you build yourself for employers throughout the program and post graduation. There’s also an alumni group that hosts monthly meetings for networking and learning opportunities. If you’re looking for a well-rounded program to get your foot (and all other body parts) in the door, this is it!!

Coming into this program, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was more than afraid of my ability to keep up, worried if the instructors would be pleasant, and if the program itself was going to be a good investment. My fears were unfounded.

We had a great team of knowledgeable instructors who were able to explain complicated concepts in a way everyone could understand, they were also thoughtful enough to record each session so that we may go back and revisit the class once it was over. Every in-class exercise we had, the TAs would walk around to make sure each person had help as well so that no one was left behind.

The classes were entertaining and fun, we had instructors who never took themselves too seriously and would offer a well timed pun or corny joke when the situation called for it. We knew we could come to them for help and felt supported at all times.

Overall it was a great experience. We covered a wide breadth of topics, but in the end we became proficient enough for any junior or midlevel role. That said, it was still hard work.

Everyone knows bootcamps are a harrowing experience by nature, but learning this much in such a short amount of time leaves you with the responsibility to gain clarity for yourself. You'll need to approach something like this not with the idea of passing the class, but with the idea of being your very best. If you spend 2 hours studying - try adding another hour. This will help you when it comes time to start interviewing,  when you have to manage your own projects, and when you need to rely on yourself outside the classroom environment. Regularly revisit the basics, even if you're at the end, and know that you're  never going to know everything, but be willing to keep learning long after the class is over. Having confidence in yourself is key. This program does not offer college credit, but it has a solid and quality curriculum and if you do what you're supposed to do, you will be prepared to start your career as a developer.

    Good Luck!

The GT Full Stack Bootcamp is an excellent program that is fast-paced but offers a level of support that is unparalleled to any other academic experience I have ever had. I came from a non-tech background and knew VERY LITTLE about coding. After finishing the program, I felt like I could speak a whole new language. They teach you not only how to create full stack applications (frontend --> backend), but also about web development in the workplace. I will be forever grateful for the skills I learned in this Bootcamp and can't wait to continue in the technical field.

This was an amazing boot camp. It was great because it fit my schedule so I could still work and learn these valuable skills. I loved that everything was skills focused and not all theoretical. They go over different in-demand technologies that are used by working developers today and then teach you how to apply them in the real world using practical projects to help build up your portfolio. If you're looking to change careers and be a developer this is a great way to go. Just the connections that you make alone is worth it. The instructors and TA's are amazing and helpful and truly want you to succeed. Make relationships with your classmates and instructors. They'll push you and help you achieve success even when it's hard and you think you can't do it. I highly recommend this course. It was an amazing learning and growing experience for me. I hope it will be for you too when you take it!

I've spent the last few years as a stay-at-home-mom knowing I want to return to work and make a career change at the same time. I chose web development for various reasons and discovered it was possible to obtain training without obtaining a traditional degree.  Since I have zero prior technical experience I enrolled in a Udemy course and quickly discovered I didn't have enough context and would really benefit from a classroom setting.  That's when I found the GA Tech Bootcamp.  Knowing GA Tech's excellent reputation in the business community I knew their program would have high standards and be very rigorous.  In order to make a career change, I wanted and needed a program that would be credible.

The curriculum is designed to be immersive and hands on.  It requires being pushed outside of comfortzones.  If you think drinking from a fire hose is rough, this is more like trying to drink from a broken fire hydrant.... With this program you get out what you put in.  If you ask for help, you get it.  The staff is top notch! The instructors are amazing.  Everyone, from staff to classmates were incredibly supportive and encouraging.  When I started I had no idea what 'Full Stack' meant. By the end of the program I had a portfolio full of amazing, full stack applications. Completing this course and attending graduation is an accomplishment I'm proud of.  This was more difficult than grad school but if I can learn this I can learn anything.  And...If I can do it.....anyone determined.... can too!

Amazing, Kyla! We appreciate you choosing our program to dive into the fundamentals of web development and make a career change. We're extremely proud of your dedication and hard work towards successfully completing the course! All the best going forward on this new path.

A little background about me before I came into the program.

I came in with a little experience coding in Matlab.

    Pros:

    - Most immediate benefit is a guided curriculum of the latest fundemental technologies.

    - Holistic support from instructors, ta, and success manager including job preparation with iterative feedback that helped me get my first developer job.

    - Group or "House" study groups, competitions for udemy courses as prizes, and learning collaborative git and agile practices working in a group.

    - My instructors and TAs held additional extra topics sessions for other technologies not taught in the curriculum.

    - Dedicated weekly 1-on-1 tutor and the ability to ask specific questions that may not be answered on stack overflow.

    Cons:

    - If you have any experience in web development, the first few weeks will feel slower.

    - Too many todo list assignments, although admittedly it is the most efficient way of learning all the REST methods.

Overall, there is a lot to learn in the developer world, and having friends or classmates to struggle with, bounce ideas off of, and compete with to make the best group projects goes a long way. The Georgia Tech Fullstack Coding Bootcamp stands out from other bootcamps due to the staff. My instructors were very engaging and made class enjoyable to learn.

I don't know where I start. Everything that this bootcamp has taught me is that I can do this. The instructors are awesome. They are really inspiring, and helped me so much throughout the entire process.

With anything in life you get what you put in. So if the administation, instructors, and TA's are telling you all along you have to do x, y, z to put yourself out there, you have to put yourself out there. They do a great job making sure you have all the resources to develop your skills. I had so much going on in my personal life, and they value each student if you ask for the help.

Good course with practical curriculum, plenty of staff support, and lots of opportunities to go further if given the self-motivation. There's exposure to a lot of different technologies in a short amount of time so it can be curated to all experience levels. After taking the course - coming back as a teacher's assistant has been a fulfilling experience and helped reinforce the knowledge from a different perspective.

As someone who couldn't afford to leave a full-time position to attend school, this program was convenient, affordable, well-organized, and enjoyable from beginning to end. All of my instructors, TAs, and even program directors were knowledgable, accessible, and super involved with student progress. This course is both fun and challenging! Your classmates become your friends and cheerleaders! Working in teams is common in this class and really helps to build valuable skills that can only come from actually doing the work, guys. I highly recommend this program if you're looking for a new career, improving your existing skill set, or are just wanting to learn how to code for fun!

The Coding Bootcamp at Georgia Tech was a great experience. The instructors were passionate about teaching the curriculum, and the TAs were helpful when I got stuck. One of the best parts about the bootcamp is the hands-on learning. It allowed us to make mistakes and learn from them. The program was a chance for me to acquire new skills and hone any existing ones. In addition, I understood the emphasis on teamwork, as web developers often collaborate. You get what you put in, so put the time and effort to practice what you learned in the classroom.

Georgia Techs Web Development Coding Bootcamp exceeded my expectations for multiple reasons. First and foremost was the quality of the instructional team and the curriculum. I found the instructors to be knowledgable, effective communicators invested in student success. Every week I had multiple positive interactions with members of the instructional team. The curriculum is relevant and the time I invested in this course has given me a wide range of skills in the field of web development. Some of you might ask why should I take this course over simply teaching myself through online resources?  The answer is simple. Team work is essential if you wish to make this your profession. Georgia Techs Full Stack program gives students the opportunity to collaborate together and you simply will not find this opportunity if you are only focused on individual learning. Next, the collective experience of the instructional team is invaluable. If you are motivated to learn you will get value out of this course.  The curriculum will push you in ways you would probably not push yourself, the instructors will challenge you, the TA's will guide you, and your fellow students will work with you. Career Services is excellent do not forget to take advantage of this. Lastly, you get out what you put in. Put in the time and effort, believe in yourself, and you won't be disappointed.

I was really pleased with the curriculum while attending this boot camp. This program is perfect for a novice in Web Development to learn the skills required to be a good developer. I was impressed by the quality of education provided by this bootcamp, kudos to the instructors and TAs ! I wish that the pace can be reduced to allow students more time to master a topic before moving to another but I understand the nature of bootcamps, they are supposed to be rigorous for a short period of time. I also wished that more group projects were available in the curriculum to improve the student experience because a group project showcase a student's ability to collaborate with others and that is an important skill to have in software development. I was a little disappointed in classroom participation but not surprised given the large number of students. I liked the idea of rewards for a correct answer to boost participation, it should be done more often (dividing the students in four factions competing for rewards could be great, maybe inspired by Hogwarts houses in H.P.). The career services is good but sometimes there is a time conflict with class sessions. Overall,  I'm happy to have chosen this program as a first step into Web Development.
