However I felt like I needed a little boost to get my career going. This class provided that. It was a fast paced course. I feel the class covered more advanced topics than I was anticipating. The TA's, Instructors, Student Success Manager, were all very helpful. If you had a question or didnt understand something i could count on them to answer the question.
I do wish the class would have covered more git training. We did go over it, but I feel having a dedicated week to it would be beneficial. Especially in the areas of when something goes wrong, and perhaps something to help students with what would be the best approach in certain situations.
That being said, I feel like everything else I have learned is monumental in advancing my career. I learned what it was like working on a team of programmers. The other class members were helpful, and I had fun helping some of them.
Overall I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to advance their programming knowledge and is dedicated in pursing a career in programming.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

The program will prepare you to code and grasp a deep understanding of the latest technology within the IT industry. Learning to code goes beyond putting fingers to the keyboard, it is about utilizing your current skills, building a network with others, applying what you know, and beating the imposter syndrome. The program has submerged me with industry knowledge and provided an excellent network of people that believe in me and want to see me succeed. It will challenge you to step outside your shell and acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses. Prior to joining the program, I worked in healthcare for the past four years, my specialty was in supply chain management and I used to think I couldn't code. As a minority, I felt that I was inadequate or underserving of having access to building apps and machines. When I first got into the program, I would sometimes doubt my abilities but after connecting with mentors, and having my instructor who also believed in me I feel confident to go into the workforce and get any job I desire. I believe in myself more; I was able to meet others that also didn't have a lot of experience in coding and I felt right at home. If I could give anyone advice it would be to not focus on what you don't know, only focus on what you can learn and the opportunities that will be available after you complete the cohort. I would've believed in myself a long time ago had I known there were support systems out there such as the Georgia Tech Fullstack web development program. My wish is that my testimony inspires others to start believing in themselves and not to ever doubt what you can do. You won't know what you can do until you try, and I look forward to utilizing my new skill to advance in life. I do not regret taking this course. I believe in order to do something big you have to do something you've never done before. I encourage others to sign up for a Boot Camp that aligns with their life goals, when you close your eyes what do you see? If you can conceive it in your mind, you can achieve it physically. This is only the beginning and one of the greatest feelings about learning to code is you don't need to know everything so come with your notebook, computer, and with an open mindset and ready to ask questions because you will be learning as long as you're working in the Tech industry.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0Boot Camp Team of Georgia Tech Boot Camps

Students learn lessons in the phases of the UX/UI process: Discover, Define, Develop, and Deliver. The assigned homework reinforces those lessons into real-life simulations of what career UX/UI practitioners do on the job. Three group projects put the students into team settings; each team applies the UX/UI process to bring their project to fruition. By the end of the course, the students gained not only the needed skills and training but also deeper insight into human behavior—after all, the user is the focus of the work UX/UI practitioners do.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job supportN/AInstructors5.0Boot Camp Team of Georgia Tech Boot Camps

One should NOT come to it without a full understanding of the commitment. I work full time and have a family and I think that it should be made clear that this is not a part time commitment in the sense that for someone that has zero field experience or education in this area you will be doing nothing else but working and learning for the next six months. That being said, I have learned so much more than I thought would be possible during this time. I started this boot camp with zero understanding of Python and am now able to manipulate data in python, SQL, and R. I can deploy a website using HTML, Javascript, CSS. I can create interactive visualizations using Tableau, Plotly, Leaflet. I can web-scrape and make API calls. I have an understanding of machine learning, hyper tuning a model, and deploying it onto a webpage. Six months ago I had no knowledge of Tableau, APIs or MongoDB and this boot camp has taught me all of these things. However, the most important thing that I have learned is how to take what I have been given and build on it so that now I will be capable of growing into a competent and capable data scientist. I have made connections that I will value and utilize for the rest of my career and I have been given an opportunity to improve my life that I never had before this type of program became available. If you are hungry (and I mean STARVING) for a new life opportunity I highly recommend this as a door that will open onto many paths.Overall4.0Curriculum5.0Job support4.0Instructors4.0Boot Camp Team of Georgia Tech Boot Camps

I come from a healthcare background and understand the importance of data and integrity. Data is the most important thing to protect in whatever industry you come across. This is where Ive realized protecting that data is just as important. This course has truly shown me the importance of cybersecurity and how vulnerable data can be if you don't make conscious adaptations to the software you are using. This course has also helped me to understand the importance for individuals like myself that come from different careers and the importance of security. However, when I started GT bootcamp I realized that I was deficient in knowledge regardless. This 24-weeks course has been 24 weeks of discovery, great insight, and new knowledge acquisition for me. I have gained a wealth of knowledge – in Pentesting, Linux, windows Active directory, Splunk, SQL, bash/shell scripting to mention a few. The time and money that I have invested is totally worth it. The collaborative efforts of the lecturer and TAs are superb. They are well grounded in the content of study and are devoted to the success of every student. They were particularly focused on our understanding of the content which is commendable of them. They always had new knowledge to share, and their work experiences often became our learning moments. They were always available and accessible once you have a need. They utilized mediums like breakout rooms to facilitate our learning experience and meet the students one-on-one.
Their career services are a great resource. They provide guidance, help structure your resume, interviews prepping, and provision of jobs links.

This Bootcamp was split into three parts: the first, User Experience; the second, User Interface; and the third, Frontend Development (i.e. coding). While it felt at times like we were thrown into the deep end of a pool (as the learning curve is very steep at the beginning of a new section), we all grew exponentially as UX Designers. If I had any complaints, they would probably be about how project weeks are structured; usually, the instructor for the course talks through a PowerPoint before either activities or group projects begin for the day. With projects, however, it was beyond valuable for myself and my team to know what we were expected to have done before the next class in order to not fall behind. With that in mind, the Georgia Tech UX/UI Bootcamp was a fantastic experience, one that will be challenging, but ultimately rewarding as long as you put in what you expect to get out of it.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0Boot Camp Team of Georgia Tech Boot Camps

The instructor Matt Mills is a brilliant instructor. The vast knowledge, previous and current experience from the industry, and articulating to our classroom setting is beyond amazing. I wish I could transcribe every single word conveyed in our course setting. I'm pleased I picked the right time and class to participate in the CyberSecurity and Networking Boot Camp Session with the Georgia Institute of Technology. I started with this quote because I was extremely hard on myself throughout the course. However, it wasn't until COVID hit and we went completely online that I realized the concepts we were learning were not meant to be retained in 24 weeks but rather we learning computational thinking. We were introduced to new ideas and concepts that empowered us to solve problems through code.
It was very much worth my money! You should brace yourself to be excited with the little things and frustration with the little things! You will learn A LOT and you will need to be dedicated and committed to your success!
As far as job placement is considered I was able to use the knowledge I learned in the bootcamp to land to new promotion within my company.
Shout out to Stanley Lewis and Lauren (TA) for dedicated and commitment to the students success!
