This has been an amazing experience so far! I love the fact that I have access to my mentor weekly and there are posted office hours for coursework help. The Fireside chats have been invaluable, so far. I have gained so much insight into what potential employers are looking for and understanding what is important when applying for different roles. I am also excited that I will finish the program with at least two projects in my portfolio. I just can't say enough about this program. If you want to get into data science this is the program for you! -

I had a wonderful experience with my Data Science Certification program that I completed in 2021. I signed up on a whim and started class the same day. I fell in love with the content and also became so comfortable with the mentorship and support. I was very limited with my tech capabilities because I was set in my old ways, and hadn't had experience even using Slack. Entity mentors put me at ease and held my hand figuratively through many times. I am currently interviewing for jobs, and I am getting responses and interviews. I can't apply to jobs fast enough because there are so many to choose from. I am a single mom of three in my mid 40s and I still finished it with great grades! I had such a great experience that I convinced my 20 yr old daughter to try it out, and she loved it too. It's been a great bonding experience, and she will be graduating next week! -

This is the only Bootcamp that I found that help with finding their students jobs after completing the program as well as making it affordable for those like myself that wouldn't have been able to afford any upfront $1000 or more deposit like that of other Data Science/Data Analyst bootcamps that I've encountered. Also, the program is just as challenging as any other bootcamp. Only issue I've encountered is getting help sometimes for assignments that are due the day of or after a certain time of the day; in addition, some of the textbook/lecture reading sometimes don't explain certain topics thoroughly and that's when the mentors come in handy when available. Overall, it's been a great program and I'm sure other bootcamp programs have their shortcomings as well but as least this one is affordable especially during a time where employment is hard to obtain. -

I like problem solving and my mentor is always available to help when I am confused or feel like giving up. The mentors really make the program without them I would’ve been so lost. It's been an adventure! I took a chance on myself to ignore the "I'm too old to learn something new" and enrolled into the data science course as to reinvent myself. The mentors are wonderful and are always there to help you out. The hands on assignments are real world situations and that is beneficial for creating a portfolio when you're done with the course. -

I started the program a couple weeks ago, but have felt part of the community for weeks now. There has been so much support and encouragement from the start of my journey with Entity and I have appreciated how it's encouraged me and made me believe this is something I can accomplish.
The opportunities for meeting people in the field through Fireside chats is priceless and so helpful to receive insider information from someone actually doing it in real time.
I am very happy with the program thus far and look forward to delving into my studies and what Entity programs have to offer. -

I came across the Entity Academy's Data Science Virtual Academy through an advertisement. As a data analyst, I signed up almost immediately because I thought this would be a great opportunity to enhance my current knowledge and upskill in the process.
While attending the academy, I had two amazing mentors that helped me the most. Whenever I was really stuck or had an issue with any assignment, they were extremely helpful and guided me through the process. During my final project, the instructor and one of the mentors offered a lot of support, guidance, and encouragement for me and my project partner to build confidence in our work.
After the final project and post-graduation, I had tremendous help from Mark Gasche to hone and polish both my soft skills and resume. With his help and expertise, I applied for a Senior Analyst position and landed the job!!! Although I have a background in data analysis, computer science, and SQL, my newly acquired knowledge of Python, R, Tableau, and predictive modeling/machine learning helped push me over the edge! -

The curriculum covers a wide range of materials in compressed modules. It does a good job explaining the technical parts as well as the concepts behind each one. I'm currently not working and only has my Data Science school work that I found to be a bit more time-consuming than I expected so be prepared to put in as much effort as you can learning the material. The mentors are very helpful and responsive and it's been very easy to get assistance when needed. -

Entity Academy is partnered with WOZ In offering the Data Science program. I was skeptical but I really liked the coaching portion that Entity had to offer. There are coaches that really care about your well being and mental health. They taught us duty skills, management, and with stress. Or you can have a one-on-one with the amazing Ayana. There is live zoom meetings with various professionals in the data science or tech field.
Woz U is behind the data science portion and offers lessons, modules to pass. The exercises and graded projects I feel really helped me understand the materials. But having said that I think you should still look at outside resources or ask your mentors for help. You are assigned and mentor and meet with them weekly so that you’re accountable and also can ask for help. So far the mentors I encountered are really cool and helpful. The supplant course outline and videos are soooo helpful. When I was stuck I would look at them. I have taken Database course at my college and I felt I learned more from the database course here at Entity. I loving my experience so far and looking to graduate. -

I never thought I would be good at coding and learning programming languages until I started the data science program with ENTITY Academy. The materials provided broke down technical concepts in a very easy-to-understand way, and help was always readily available when I needed it. You have to put in the time, energy and effort to find success but ENTITY does a great job of supporting students through one-on-one mentorship for hard skills and group coaching for soft skills. They also gave me financial assistance where I could complete the program without having to worry about payment until after I’ve secured a job (which ENTITY’s career services will help me with). The organization as a whole is clearly dedicated to empowering women to excel in the tech industry. I love what I am learning in my data science program and ENTITY has excited me for what the future holds! -

Before I came to ENTITY I was struggling to find the right school for me. A lot of other colleges offering data science programs were either too lengthy, didn’t promise a career in the future, or were just way too expensive. I’m honestly very lucky to have come upon this school. The mentorship and lesson communication is phenomenal. We have reviews that test our knowledge and really help us to retain the information that we will need in our future careers! Entity offers job placement, life coaching, and so many other rewarding programs that serve as motivational affirmations. They push us forward! As women! And as students. You won’t have made a mistake choosing ENTITY for your data science education. -

When I was looking to start a bootcamp I didn’t know where to start. I’ve come across entity and sent an email. I was followed up with a call and from there I knew this is the bootcamp I want to attend. I’ve started in January all my courses are pretty straight forward whenever I have questions my mentor or any mentor is available to jump on a zoom to walk me through. Since starting I grew confidence in my work and built a great relationship with my mentor. I even made the directors list how amazing is that ! -

I am in the middle of my career life and I was looking to do a pivot into technology when I came across Entity's Data Science Course. I was concerned that with an online format I wouldn't get the live help I knew I would need given my background is the furthest thing from Tech. I have had great support. The mentors, coaches and other staff at Entity are very involved and responsive and knowledgeable. I am learning so much and am excited for what the future holds. -

I first joined ENTITY Academy because I wanted to look for a way to enhance my undergraduate degree - which happened to be in a social science - with technical skills. Although I initially tried to decide between the Software Development and Data Science programs, I eventually chose the Data Science program because of its practical applications and connections across many fields. Although there is always room for continual improvement and development, the curriculum thus far has been comprehensive and seems to have given me a good start in my journey to learning the basics of data science. I loved the fact that the program was all online, and although the deadlines could be pressing, the organization and structure of the lessons was pleasant. Personally, I really enjoyed the statistics modules and the introductions to topics and programs such as Machine Learning, SQL, Python, and R. Since time flew by so quickly for me, I only wish I could do it again as I look back fondly at those early modules. As someone who did not receive this type of technical instruction from my undergraduate education, I now definitely feel more "tech-savvy" and well-rounded as a prospective employee for whichever industry I choose to enter. In addition, one of the *best* aspects of ENTITY Academy & Woz U is the outstandingly supportive environment of mentors and educators (a special shout out to HANNAH and EMILY!). Everyone I interacted with was both helpful and knowledgeable to the best of their ability, and the same has been true for their career services coordinator. I have gained immense insight from my various mentors, as well as invaluable advice regarding my personal and professional development. Just as well, my experience with the Final Project really taught me how to collaborate with a team, exceed my limitations, put in the work to succeed, and ask the right questions as a data scientist. Thank you ENTITY for all of the support, and I look forward to staying connected within this network! -

I am so happy to recommend ENTITY Academy, Academy saved me from a life in Nursing that I had been doing for the last 15 years. I attended ENTITY Academy's Writers Collective Program when I was a rising Junior in university. Even though I had an excellent educational background, I sensed something was missing. I still lacked confidence and a sense of direction in my career, and it was incredibly daunting since I was already halfway through university. But when I joined the Writers Collective Program, I gained so much confidence as not only a writer but also as a digital marketing specialist. During my time with ENTITY, I completed rigorous rotations in search engine optimization (SEO), digital PR/linkbacks, graphic design, and social media packaging. With the guidance of my mentors and other mentees, it was the perfect environment for me to flourish. Being surrounded by women supporting one another is something I cannot take for granted.
The Writers Collective Program provides students with essential digital skills to be well-rounded digital storytellers and content creators. In addition to the program itself, it is necessary to note the fantastic people you meet within the program. The connections you make are one of the program's perks, as you get to meet people from all over the world with different expertise and experiences. I said this before, but it is simply the best place to grow as an individual. ENTITY gave me the confidence and necessary skills to pursue a position as a Digital Marketing Specialist for a start-up cosmetics brand that is launching in Sephora soon and continuing my journey in the digital media field. -

Entity gave me all the skills I needed to be successful at my current role. I transitioned from the social sciences with no programming background. I left with knowledge in SQL,R, Python, Big Data and Tableau. All of which are in-demand skills in the data space right now. Most importantly for me, was the soft skills training and mentorship program they offered which really helped me ace my interviews during my job search. Both my director and manager separately told me recently that, it was those non-technical skills that made me stand out during the hiring process. Deciding to attend ENTITY's Writers Collective program was something I didn't second guess. Before graduating with my undergrad degree, I was a part of the program, and I can say the Writer's Collective helped shape my professional career. I grew immensely as a writer through the different skills we learned each week, such as SEO keyword research & writing, social media packaging, and graphic design. My mentors helped guide me and create a plan for the career I wanted. They also provided great insight into how the life of a writer looked. The program offers essential digital skills for today's workforce, but it also surrounds you with people who make a lasting impact in your life - many of whom I still talk to today. Overall, ENTITY gave me the skills and confidence to dive into my first social media position at a small digital publication and continue my path in the Social Media field. -

I enjoyed my time at ENTITY and learned a great deal about what it meant to be a driven, successful woman in media. I spent months writing, editing, interviewing sources, learning about SEO and how to drive traffic to your website, and how to utilize your social pages to generate engagement and revenue. In the months I spent interning at ENTITY, I both learned a great deal about the world of media, and also met some amazing people whom I greatly look up to and admire. Through ENTITY's alum program, I've been put in contact with and secured a job in the field of technology. This is an amazing program and I highly recommend for anyone interested in the courses offered. -

This program has been very engaging, supportive, interesting. I haven't had any issues receiving a timely response to a question, and the skills I've gained will help me make the career shift I set out to make. The courses are planned well and allow you to build on the skills you're learning. And there are so many added bonuses to attending, like 1-on-1 meetings with a mentor to discuss difficult concepts, a coach who helps you work on managing stress and balancing your time, and fireside chats with industry professionals, just to name a few. Everyone I've spoken with has been hospitable and polite; it has been a great experience. -

As my family circumstances had change I knew I needed to get skilled for me to return to the workforce. I was contemplating what my second act of my play would look like for me. I look at several Data Science programs however I kept coming back to Entity Academy. I’m not sure if it was the webpage that demonstrates (their was NO glass ceiling that couldn’t be shattered.
I got nervous when I seen some of the coursework. I am not a fan of statistics along with learning coding however I put 💯 into the technical learning. In return I received a scheduled weekly mentoring appointment to gage how I’m doing. We had additional soft skill assignments that aligned with the technical part of the program. In this part you can get reward with your hard work. The most important part of Entity Academy program that sets it apart from others, is it’s coaching workshops. They morphed into a community of students supporting each other during these weekly lesson plan. Thé coaching staff member is also available for 1 on 1 appts. This was much needed as school, working, family and life challenges arise. “You got this” and “Learning to say NO without explaining” were recurring theme!
I believe in this program when my daughter graduates she will be signing up for the Software Development program. -

One of the tools I really appreciated learning during my courses was Trello, because it made sense to me, having a digital version of what I tend to do with sticky notes. At my current job (new since February), I work with my colleague who's 22 and my director who is older than me 🙃 We have many projects going at once, and we need to be able to synchronize our work and know where we are in each project, who's done what, etc. I told them about Trello, and how it could work for us- both of them were enthusiastic, and we've been using it for almost a month, with good success! This morning, my director forwarded us an email from another department in our organization; they heard we're using Trello, and they want us to teach them how it could work for them. I would not have known about Trello, nor how to use it, without having learned it during my Data Science program! 😊Also I want to give major credit to Devin M and Sherlin W, both of whom were my constant supporters during my program. I could truly not have made it through without them!Many thanks, to the team at Entity, for helping me get to where I am today! -

As a vet Marketing exec, I felt I needed to get skilled in data science or analytics in order to take my digital & brand marketing strategies to the next level. Entity’s Data Science Bootcamp not only has allowed me to upskill, but the unique wraparound services offered have allowed me, a full-time working mom, to excel and get support not only at school, but personally. I have a community isotherm the other students, a technical mentor, access to industry leaders and constant weekly coaches and staff that no other program offers. The whole student approach is 2nd to none and I’m looking forward to doing the Data Analytics program next! -

Make sure you commit your time wisely. The material is explained well but for someone like me, with no tech experience, it is challenging. You won't be expected to write essays. You will be asked to do some math but it's ok if you aren't the best at it. Attention to detail is EVERYTHING. It will be hard at times but the mentors, extra learning material, and study groups are a tremendous help. -

I found ENTITY Academy when I was looking for ways to gain work experience in writing/journalism. I had just graduated with my degree, but lacked the professional experience needed to get my foot in the door. I was finding that unfortunately, a degree from a well-known journalism school was not enough. ENTITY Academy opened my eyes to tons of new job possibilities in digital content creation, SEO, social media growth, and so much more and they helped me build an impressive portfolio of work samples. Their career coaching was also hugely helpful; we did mock interviews and I was able to get feedback on the kinds of things that I could be doing better to seem more confident in my answers to interview questions. Plus, the mentors in their network are great resources for information and advice and I've kept in touch with a couple of them. The ENTITY team was also there for me when I was on the job hunt and put me in touch with folks in their network that were hiring! Overall, I strongly believe in ENTITY's mission and am so glad I came across them at that exact moment in my life. -

Entity Academy is the perfect launchpad for women looking to upskill or change careers. I had no idea of the opportunities that were available to me as a data scientist, especially as someone transitioning from a writing background. The program truly helps you build skills from the ground up. Plus, the amount of support I received from the technical mentors and student success team was unparalleled. It's definitely a long commitment, but I had resources to ensure my success every step of the way. I was also invited to regular "fireside chats" with industry leaders I never thought I'd meet – think: NASA, Disney, Microsoft, Chipotle. I started building my network long before graduation. I'm also proud of the portfolio of work I've built and am using that to get in front of employers. Suffice to say, it was well worth the investment.
