The Data Science program is fantastic, supported by a competent, friendly, and helpful team. The approach is very ‘hands-on’ and problem oriented, letting you dive right in. But no need to worry: you are supported at every step of the way by the instructors and the teaching assistant. Thanks to Propulsion Academy, I have had the opportunity to develop a research project I really like and get funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation. More importantly, it has given me the knowledge and confidence to move towards a field of work I had always been interested in but never dared approach before. Registering for this course is the best professional decision I ever took!

Great program!
Great program! Propulsion Academy gave me the chance to get a kick-start into programming. The course was challenging and rewarding. Instructors and staff were highly motivated and very patient with us. We had a great class and lots of fun. In the breaks we played often ping-pong and had generally many social events together. It was a great experience and absolutely worth it!

Having background in life sciences and a limited programming experience, I was not sure what to expect before starting the Data Science bootcamp. Quite early in the course, however, it became apparent where it all is going: the participants are exposed to the multitude of topics comprising this field and get a taste of most of them by solving provided assignments. With a constant flow of new information, it never gets boring - on the contrary, carefully selected teachers with their various backgrounds strive every day to satisfy our never-ceasing appetite for knowledge. The challenging capstone project with the final presentation was a perfect cherry on the cake. Overall, an invaluable and definitely life-changing experience.

Propulsion Academy boot camps opens new possibilities for the people that are looking for a change in their lives. From the prep-work through the classes, the program is very carefully structured. Lectures are provided by developers with many years of experience, who are able to answer all of your questions. During the whole program, you are supported by teaching assistants helping you understand new materials and resolve challenges. They also do not forget about maintaining a good atmosphere and integration within the group. For me, Propulsion Academy was the hope of finding my place on the Swiss job market. They not only taught me how to code but they also helped me believe in myself.

Given my limited background with programming, I didn’t think it would be possible for such a program to take me to a junior full-stack developer level. I did my due diligence and looked at other options. I finally chose Propulsion because the interaction with the staff had been the most professional (very quick responses to emails, well-structured personal technical interviews to be accepted into the program). Additionally, the curriculum seemed to be the most advanced, focusing on languages and frameworks that are needed for modern software development. And I wasn't disappointed: the journey had been demanding, but the TAs were very supportive and even came in on weekends to make sure we got the most out of the program. Upon completion, I sent out about ten applications and was invited to six interviews within one month. Needless to say, I got what I wanted out of the program and can definitely say that Propulsion has given me a very solid basis to build upon.

After graduating from university, I found myself in a role that was not technical enough to stimulate my intellectual curiosity nor could ensure a long-term future. Software development was definitely the way to go, but how would I get there? Except for the many resources online that taught you the specifics of virtually any tool, but no all-encompassing overview of the whole field of software engineering, I was on my own. The Full-Stack program not only taught you to think like a software engineer, but also gave you career-related resources beyond the education: professional connections, mentoring, CV editing, and ample opportunities to prove yourself to the public. Propulsion Academy's no-nonsense approach to teaching modern technologies was a perfect and it was not long before I found a job as a Software Engineer!

After 2 year-long career break, I finally decided to switch from Process Engineering to Software Development. I did some online courses during this time, but always felt it was not enough to land a job. Propulsion Academy became a place for me to grow into a developer. The well-thought-out roadmap and time efficiency of the program made me confident to pick up any framework or web-technology and make it work. I did not only acquire the most in-demand skills in the industry but also felt very welcome in a warm and inviting culture and had valuable career support after I was done as a student. The program finished with a happy ending as I was hired by one of the instructors as a Full-Stack Developer. Challenging, motivating, just great!

Propulsion Academy has been a great experience and helped me approach the career that I’ve been heading for. In addition to my recent Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at ETH Zürich, this coding bootcamp made the difference and opened new opportunities. The course focuses on very relevant topics and skills with the goal to make the candidates attractive for employers in the field of software development. With a set curriculum and competent supervision, an environment for fast and high quality learning is provided. On top of all, the Propulsion Academy team puts emphasis on networking opportunities and guide the students in the process of figuring out the next step in their career.
The curriculum was very good but still had room for improvement here and there. The instructors' quality vary but is generally very good. The founder of Propulsion Academy is behind this project with all his heart and puts a lot of individual attention and consultation to each student during the course. Thanks to the bootcamp I landed a software engineering position and I would've never passed the interview without Propulsion Academy. I also feel like I had a kickstart on my new job, thanks to the very relevant curriculum. I also enjoyed the nostalgia from the classroom experience and bonding with very interesting people that do the course too.

I took the online Data Science class at Constructor this winter, and after researching and calling multiple academies, I chose Constructor for two key reasons: they are smaller than most other academies and have a significantly better teaching assistant-to-student ratio.Their hybrid approach—combining online and on-site students—works surprisingly well. In my group, there were only two on-site students and I was the sole online participant. Mornings were dedicated to lectures from experienced industry experts or university professionals, while afternoons focused on hands-on coding exercises. What truly stood out was the ample opportunity to discuss and deeply understand the material with our dedicated teaching assistant, whom we shared among just three students.A second small group in Zurich followed the same curriculum, with their own teaching assistant and only three students as well. I even joined them on-site for three weeks, including the final project, which allowed me to connect with everyone in person. The atmosphere was supportive, human-centered, and up to date, featuring experts from both startups and established companies like Google.Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I highly recommend it! -

I was looking for a data science bootcamp where I could build upon my existing skills, and I am happy that I chose Constructor Academy. Despite my previous familiarity with data management and statistics, I was an outsider to information technologies. Data science bootcamp at Constructor Academy helped me to bridge the gaps. It has a comprehensive curriculum that enables you to acquire any missing skill relevant for data science, from coding best practices to MLOps and everything in between. Moreover, it does so by challenging you to constantly improve, not in a superficial way. With this bootcamp, you have the opportunity to get from zero to hero in any meaningful aspect of data science. And in the end, you put your skills to test on a real business problem, in collaboration with a real business, which gives a very good sense of what being a data scientist is all about. -

I recently completed a Full Stack Web Developer bootcamp in Zurich back in 2022, and let me tell you, it was quite the ride! The experience was intense, but boy, did I learn a lot.
One of the best parts of the bootcamp was the social aspect. We had a fantastic time together, bonding over our shared journey into the world of web development. It was great to have a supportive community cheering each other on.
Now, let's talk about the teachers. They were very professionals. Always there to lend a hand, explain complex concepts, and push us to reach our full potential. And let's not forget about the Teaching Assistants. They were there with us every step of the way, guiding us both professionally and mentally.
All in all, it was a fantastic experience. Sure, it was intense, but the knowledge gained and the friendships formed made it all worth it. If you're considering a Full Stack Web Developer bootcamp in Zurich, I highly recommend it. You won't regret it! -

My data science bootcamp journey was both challenging and rewarding, providing invaluable personal and professional growth opportunities.
One of the standout features of the bootcamp was its comprehensive curriculum. It covered a wide range of topics, from foundational concepts to advanced techniques. Throughout the program, we delved into statistics, data visualization, machine learning algorithms, and more. The instructors were experienced professionals who not only possessed deep knowledge in their respective fields but also had a genuine passion for teaching. Their guidance and expertise played a pivotal role in helping us grasp complex concepts and apply them to practical projects. Especially thanks to Dipanjan for the machine learning-Deep Learning part and thank you so much to the teaching assistant team who were very enthusiastic and dedicated.
We engaged in practical projects, analyzing real datasets, and honing our problem-solving skills while working collaboratively with fellow participants. The bootcamp fostered a supportive community, providing career resources and networking opportunities. The intense curriculum pushed me outside my comfort zone, enhancing my resilience and passion for continuous learning.
Completing the bootcamp was a transformative experience, equipping me with essential skills for a career in data science. -

I work as a graphic designer and have always been interested in UI, so this year I decided to try my hand at a bootcamp from Constructor Learning.
The most attractive thing for me was the fact that the study combines remote and on-site classes, because it is important for me to be able to meet the mentor live and know that the process is not only virtual.
I can also highly appreciate the skill level of mentors and their preparation for classes. For me, as a student, it is important that the lectures are interactive, and that the practical classes are interesting and active. I am a person who always learns by doing, and this is the most effective way for me. Thanks to Constructor Learning, I acquired many new skills and learned how to apply theoretical knowledge in practice.
I also want to note the amazing number of real-life examples that the mentors showed us. Information is perceived easier if you can notice it in real life.
You will get 2 or 3 (depends on your desire to complete apps you were studying) projects for your portfolio.
The program is quite intensive, so you should keep in mind that if you work 100%, you will not have much free time. Along with interface design, you will learn time management. School staff are always happy to help and advise on all issues.
Summing up, I want to say that these were busy months, but the bootcamp is 100% worth it. You can start a new life with acquired skills or improve your current situation qualitatively.
I am very grateful to Constructor Learning School for the opportunity and time spent together. -

I've learnt a lot, but I prefer another way of learning

From Nov 2022 until Feb 2023, I attended the Full-Stack bootcamp in Constructor Learning (previously SIT Learning). I had previous experience in coding with Python, but I had never before attended a bootcamp. My experience in the bootcamp had positive and negative aspects that I will try to summarise in the following.
1. Learning pace
I understand that the pace of a bootcamp is quick, but I want to say that I don't like it. I found that there was no real time to acquire the concepts properly and to pay attention to details. Everyday we started a new coding project for which there was not enough time to finish. I learnt many basic concepts, for sure, but I have the feeling that I didn't have time to internalise them nor to focus on details.
2. Curriculum
I find the curriculum very good and appropriate for the job market. Moreover, it is structured and contains many resources. Personally I would skip the part of the curriculum about coding interviews and simply give some interesting websites where one can practise. Instead, I would recommend to include some material about developing a mobile app.
An important issue about the curriculum is that it is not inclusive. When reading it, I spotted many times the use of the pronouns "he/his" to refer to a generic user or developer. I find this discriminatory towards users or developers who identify with other pronouns and who also exist (as I am the proof of their existence :D). Fortunately, this problem has a very easy solution, which is simply using the neutral pronoun "they/them", and voilà!
For skeptical people: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singular_they
3. Remote bootcamp
Although the bootcamp is sold as remote, I wouldn't call it that. I would rather describe it as bootcamp that is streamed because the interaction that the remote students can have with on-site participants is very poor. In order to improve this, I would recommend buying better equipment for the class.
Another issue for remote students is the teacher assistance. In the afternoon we always had exercises and we could reach a teacher assistant (TA) if we had doubts. However, the TAs were on-site, and thus much more available for on-site students. Online students had to wait in general a lot to obtain help because TAs were attending on-site students.
As a remote student I also had the feeling that communication could have been better. Sometimes, remote students would receive organizational information because on-site students told us what TAs said, instead of receiving it directly from TAs.
Here I want to mention that TAs do a very good job, especially Daniel and Adrien. However, I think they need more support and maybe a solution for the problems mentioned above could be to assign one (remote) TA for remote students. Another suggestion is to explain clearly at the very beginning of the bootcamp how remote students should ask for help such that TAs receive the notification.
A positive aspect of the bootcamp is that all lectures were recorded and we have access to the recording forever. This was very useful for the afternoon exercises and I guess for future projects.
4. Last project
The last three weeks of the bootcamp are dedicated to a single project that is built from scratch. This has been a very enriching and satisfying experience thanks to my team, but I would have appreciated more support from TAs & co. During these weeks it was (even more) difficult to reach TAs and many of the planned feedback sessions didn't happen. From my point of view, we started receiving feedback when it was too late and, moreover, the feedback we received was not so meaningful. I would have appreciated a much better organisation during the last project.
The above wants to be a constructive review in which I tried to point out things that could be improved. To sum up, I learnt a lot during the bootcamp and feel now more prepared to work as a full-stack developer. Maybe I would have liked to learn in a slightly different way. -

The part-time Data Science Bootcamp was intense and, sometimes, the time was not enough to cover all the topics in details, but it was complete and interesting with many practical sessions to use the techniques previously learnt. The instructors were always available to answer our (many) questions and helped when necessary, leaving everyone enough room to try on their own to find a suitable solution. Definitively worth it. -

It is amazing what you can learn within three months time frame.
It is like a Tesla 0 to 100 in a couple of second, although the bootcamp is great, please be aware that this
will take full dedication and full commitment of your time and life if you really want to succeed.
You stress level will be challenged too so make sure you have a way to steam out from time to time.
Despite all of this I was able to get an internship right after the bootcamp and get hired by the end of it.
So definitively a positive and life changing experience.

My overall experience with SIT Academy was great. This bootcamp is for anyone who is really determined, motivated, hard worker and can afford it.
They teach technologies that are in demand right now but you have to sacrifice all of your time for 3 months if you want to be a junior developer after the bootcamp and I am not exaggerating at all. If you don’t put the hours in it then you will be lost because the lessons build upon the previous one.
Their curriculum is well planned and super efficient in my opinion. I can suggest them anytime.
(I had no degree or any programming knowledge before the bootcamp and I don’t even speak German. 1 year later after the bootcamp I am a Software Engineer Intern at Adobe and I earned this position without any connection.) -

I decided to enrol in SIT Academy's Full-Stack Web Development program in order to further improve my knowledge, and to gain the exposure that I knew I needed in order to be ready for the challenging demands of the software development market, as I was aiming to transition into a new role as a software engineer.
Since my first day in the program, I knew that it was the right choice to be there. The instructors are extremely helpful, and also quite knowledgeable. They do their best to ensure that everyone understands the curriculum and gets the best out of it. The assignments were rather challenging, but they're designed in a way that helps you learn and understand the logic behind every line of code that you write, and not just memorise things without understanding them. They helped me find my path as a backend/devops engineer, and I will forever be grateful to their wonderful team for that!
Pros:- Excellent teachers.
- The curriculum is well-structured and some of the assignments are very challenging (in a good way).
- Everyone is passionate about what they do, which makes the overall experience fantastic!
- You get to learn soft skills along the way! (working in a team, dealing with different personalities and so on).
- They help establish your presence on LinkedIn and other platforms where you could land your dream job.
Cons:- If you're attending the class remotely, you could face some technical issues sometimes. (probably something that got fixed anyway!)

At the start of 2021 I have never written a line of code, at the start of 2022 I started as a Junior Software Developer in Zurich.
I applied to SIT Academy for a change in my carrier after working in the insurance industry for five years. I had zero prior knowledge up to the moment I applied. After I passed the interviews SIT Academy gave me access to a bunch of preparation work which really helped giving a basic understanding of coding and setting a level to excel from during the bootcamp.
The bootcamp is very demanding as there is so much to learn. I really enjoyed the teaching method used by SIT Academy as they give lessons during the mornings and in the afternoons you are free to do as many exercises as you wish to help you understand the topics taught. We also worked on three big projects which you can put into your portfolio and show to potential employers.
In the end and after the bootcamp the SIT Academy team will help you prepare your ideal CV and will support you finding a job as a developer.
I would highly recommend SIT Academy to everyone who wants to change career paths or wants to learn a new skill. You need to be motivated as you will gain extra knowledge according to the work you are willing to put in. -

Propulsion Academy's full-time Data Science Bootcamp is without a doubt one of the most intense learning experiences I have ever had. For 3 months, I was taught all the necessary skills about statistics, programming with R and python, machine learning, deep learning, NLP and machine learning engineering. All this along with by many practical examples, supervised by teacher assistance and instructors. The instructors were up to date with the latest technologies, as many are currently working in the field.
I attended 100% remote and everything worked perfectly.
The academy has a wide network of contacts in Switzerland, which allowed me, at the end of my training, to do a real project for a startup in the health industry and a few months later to start my new job as a Machine Learning Engineer.
