Overall, I learned a lot and was challenged by Claim. I do not regret signing up and recommend others to sign up with Claim. Claim is very supportive and will help you propel yourself tremendously. I currently am going into my sophomore year of college and majoring in computer science. I decided to sign up with claim to prepare myself for my college degree and I feel after completing the 12 week full stack java bootcamp that I am more than prepared for the next 3 years of college. I will say during my 12 weeks at Claim there were a couple circumstances. We had a teacher change after the fourth week which made the next 3 weeks more challenging than I expected. However, a group of students and myself banded together and overcame those 3 weeks. The remaining 6 weeks of the course with our teacher, Lamar, was the best experience I have ever had learning about coding and building a real world application. Do not hesitate and sign up with Claim. I promise you will come out with loads of knowledge and confidence that you will get a job or succeed in college! -

This is a life-changing course for anyone willing to put in the hard work it takes to make it through to the end. At the end of the course you'll have real-world, hands-on experience, and real projects to showcase to potential employers. The staff are all outstanding at what they do, from the instructors, to the mentors, to the back-office support. This academy has my highest recommendation and it's reputation as a top coding academy is well-earned and deserved. -

When Claim Academy defined itself as a boot camp and expressed how time consuming and intense the work would be to me, I was expecting a mentally grueling 12 weeks. Instead, I found it to be very laid back, with only 3 hours of lecture a day, and the rest of the time to work alone or in groups. I often wished for more class time, even though learning hands outside lecture hours was invaluable.
My class in particular had some issues with teachers. One left the school halfway through, then another led in a difficult to follow manner. Our final instructor was phenomenal, however. They also have non-instructor mentors on-hand that are great assistance.
One of my biggest grievances was the erratic nature of their schedules. We started the course off doing class at 10 am, but after two or three weeks it was switched to 4pm without any warning or reason. They also provide "company spotlights" and "alumni meetings", which are great, but were also often scheduled directly over our already limited class time. A lot of these spotlight hours are also sprung up randomly with only an hour or two warning, which personally led to me missing many of them.
As for the content, I can safely say that I do now know how to code, when I had zero experience or knowledge before coming here. Although I do feel like there is so much I don't know or understand, that would be expected from leaving any school. Most learning comes from real life experience.
I used the VETTEC program to fund my way through this school. Having done that, I would tell anybody with the same capability to go for it. I don't know if I would feel the same way if I had paid out-of-pocket. I'll leave that opinion to somebody who had done that.
Since, I'm only graduating at the time I write this, I haven't received much job assistance yet. They claim to be very helpful. I just hope they don't just copy and paste everything they find off of indeed that requires 5+ years of experience. *I was offered money to make this review by Claim Academy, even though they never paid out. -

0 support after graduation. they claim that they teach you python, ethical hacking, application security. this is all false. you touch base on them but you will leave without a base level understand of any of it. they cannot teach it because they do not have labs. the amount of turn over in this company is insane as well. nothing but empty promises and them being a little bit richer after the fact.Ola Ayeni of Claim Academy

We understand that landing a job happens quickly for some people and for others, it may take awhile. It is not a good thing to make false claims about a person or an organization. We apologize if things are taking a longer time for you. Claim Academy is rated one of the best Cybersecurity program by fortune magazine and also top 19 by course report. I had no regrets choosing Claim Academy, my over all experience was challenging and rewarding. Their instructors were very good at what they do, I started this course from having little to no experience at all to being able to create a web application. Claim Academy’s strength is surely the staff. The Java instructors are accomplished, industry leaders who ensure we’re learning the right things. They often go above and beyond the call of duty. Kenn Juma’s generous guidance, for example, helped me complete a project I was really proud of. My mentor, Alex Duncan, was such a huge resource and had a knack for making new concepts click. I graduated into a tough job market, but staff members like Lynn Kuhlmann and Olivia Bury were invaluable advocates for me getting the chance to present as a candidate for key positions. In the end, I landed a dream opportunity. Claim was instrumental in getting me there. -

We've all heard of the saying Rome was not built in a day. I firmly believe that Claim Academy has brought this vision to life within myself and numerous other graduates.
From Day 1 the course was challenging and intense, from the early start in the morning to the late nights reading and immersing myself in C#. Class was usually done after a few small coding challenges in the morning, with lectures and hands on coding challenges with instructors in the afternoons, followed by studying for a few hours each evening after leaving the Academy.
I was very fortunate to find myself accepted and a part of this awesome career path in the guiding hands of Ola and his staff. Each person at Claim brought their own brand of expertise and initiative to my learning experience and I was truly able to bring my dreams to life thanks to both their and my own hard work.
If you have any desire to change careers into software development, Claim Academy was an amazing resource and continue to provide me and others with daily job offers, networking opportunities, and career spotlights from a large group of employers.
I highly recommend Claim Academy, and I would gladly say they helped my dreams become reality. -

Awesome! Claim Academy teaches students many new skills along with the basic programming. By the time you are finished, you will have gained so much knowledge, you will not believe it. At the end, you will be able to create a full stack a web application that has “real world” applications. Depending on which course you choose, you will probably also learn, Java, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS, Spring Framework, Bootstrap, Node.js, MySQL, Testing, Maven, GitHub, Visual Studio Code, React, Hibernate, Junit, MVC framework, XML, JSP, JSTL, Servlets, Eclipse, Soap and Restful Techniques, Debugging, Agile Methodology, presentation skills, and interview prep. Phew! I know, but you will be able to do it, from all the knowledge you will have learned here. Plus, the interaction with classmates and mentors, along with the support and career assistance of the staff is terrific! -

It's a very fact paced curriculum and is split up into different blocks. The first part of the day is going over exercises and reviewing the previous day's lecture. The day is capped off with the lecture. Throughout the course employers and alumni come by to give presentations, to help network. Near the middle of the course they teach soft skills and resume building, along with mock interviews. Best of all they take the GI Bill, so as a veteran it didn't cost me anything to attend. -

3 months of stress, hard work, frustration, then understanding and amazement upon learning and doing. Be prepared to work hard. Overall, it’s worth it. But don’t expect it to be handed to you. It’s 12 weeks of self sacrifice and dedication, so only attend if you’re willing to do just that. I can not say enough good about Lamar, Praneeth, and Hiram. They are excellent teaching instructors who really know their stuff. To this day, I can still message Lamar with a question and he will respond. That kind of dedication can’t be overlooked. The overall structure of the program, however, does need some restructuring. For my cohort, we had one single mentor who also had to spread his time between the C# class, as well as the class that was a few weeks ahead of us. I recommend Claim hire specific mentors, one for Java, one for C#, one for the 9-12 week capstone period. Without this, it makes the course a lot of teaching yourself for the first six hours until the instructor arrives. This does make you become more self reliant on learning, and though appreciated, when you consider a lot of people are quitting their jobs to attend this program, not to mention paying a substantial amount, I personally would have appreciated more time learning with a physical person. I did feel the curriculum was a little outdated. That’s not to say you don’t learn a lot. But I do feel some parts were ultimately unneeded. We learned a lot that seemed to be the “harder” way to do things or that were outdated, and I ended up feeling like the time could have been better spent on other topics or learning a little more about a previous topic. The best advice I can give to anyone is to start early. I attended the cohort in February, and in December I was teaching myself HTML5, CSS, and JS so I hopefully wouldn’t fall behind once the class started. That allowed me the luxury of studying on other parts that I didn’t feel as strong in while others were learning these during I believe our 5th week. It ultimately led me to become a better programmer by taking initiative on my own. I feel the best thing Claim does lies in their access to business partners. This was ultimately my reasoning for attending Claim as I wanted more ways to advertise myself. My cohort had the unluckiness of taking place during the Covid-19 outbreak and that did make the program more stressful than it would have been otherwise. Normally a question could be asked and the instructor could walk to your desk and solve it in a minute. With an online program, you had to share your screen, scroll through all your code to find the issue, then fix it, which would turn small bugs into 10 minute long problems and if multiple individuals had bugs, you can see how this could take up 30 minutes to an hour of class time. Claim did take initiative and I appreciated the way they handled the situation, but I would be lying if I didn’t say it wasn’t stressful and what solely resulted in the reasoning for my 3 star overall experience. I believe had the world issue not have occurred, this would be an easy 4 star experience.
3 weeks have passed and no one has received a job at this time from my 10 member cohort, but the world is just now starting to get back to normal and I would like to update this review once that time comes. It was just an unfortunate situation for those attending at this time, so be sure to do extra research and don't let my situation persuade you. Most individuals will never experience a bootcamp in this fashion and that should be duly noted here. -

If you're looking for a challenging environment where you can go from little to no coding experience, to developing your own application in under 12 weeks, this is the place to go. The 12-week courses are very dense, move very quickly, but between the instructors, studying with your cohort, and the mentors who are available during the day, I think almost anyone can make it through this program. -

Claim academy has fantastic instructors, especially Lamar who made our education fun and was always willing to help us individually. We learned a massive tech stack over 3 months. I had done some learning on my own prior to Claim but always seemed to hit a wall where I struggled to know what to do next. The things I learned at Claim academy helped me to move beyond that and feel I am ready for a job as a developer. I am currently still searching for a job and am still using Claims resources to do so. Once I manage to secure a position I would update my review to 5 stars across the board. -

Claim Academy was a great experience!
I chose to attend claim over other coding boot camps because of the results they advertised with respect to overal learning launching of a new career in the tech industry. The content of the cirriculum gave me a great foundation from which I plan to build on. The instructors are very knowleageable and more than patient.
Outside of the content, Claim Academy goes above and beyond to exmplain the process of job hunting in the tech world and they spend a great amount of time preparing one to be ready for the first interviews as entry level developers.
Claim also has a great network of affiliates and even go so far as to set up meetings with recruiters and companies that are currently hiring. The reputation that Claim has with with its afiiliates carries a lot of weight as they are all aware of how intense the training program is.
Overall, the coding boot camp exceeded my expectations and I'm glad I took the time to complete the Immersive Full Stack Program.

Claim Academy helped me immensely in my transition to a new carreer, from an aircraft mechanic in the Navy to a full stack C#/.Net developer. The course itself was tough in the begining forsure, but with patients, hardwork and with the help from great instructors like Praneeth Medari and Eric Ray, they made it easier for me to understand. They also helped with the preparation for interviews and resume writing, which boosted my confidence when i went to job interviews. Matthew Hook(Director of Operations) provided great assistace with my GI bill and BAH and made sure i was taken care as a vateran which i really appreciated. Over all loved the experience.

A Fully Immersive Program
Read more Read less of Dave L's review
The staff at Claim Academy are not joking when they say this is a fully immersive program. You will eat, sleep, and breath coding during the entire program. However, during this time, you will learn far more than most people would be able to learn otherwise.
The days are long and you will likely eventually feel overwhelmed and frustrated. This happened at different points in the course for different members of my class. As difficult as you may find it, keep going. Show up every day, be on time, and don't leave early. Time missed will really hurt your progress and it will be very difficult to catch back up.
If you don't understand something, ask the instructors/mentors for help. Stay late and get help when you need it. Spend time working on projects at home. You will be expected to spend a lot of time working in pairs with other students, as well as working independently on your own projects. Again, ask for help or clarification if you don't understand something. Having another student explain something to you helps both of you understand it better. If you see another student struggling with something, offer your help.
You will be expected to learn some fundamental knowledge needed to complete your projects on your own and to troubleshoot problems. Google will become your new best friend. If that fails, ask the instructors/mentors for help.
Overall, I feel like Claim Academy delivers a solid course with a LOT of information and practical coding experience crammed into a 12-week course. They have employers and past graduates come in for open houses and employer showcases. Take advantage of these opportunities and network. Go in with a positive attitude and confidence that you can do this and your investment will pay off in the end.

Claim academy has good instructors and has you build a series of projects that expose you to some modern frameworks and help you build a portfolio of work. They also do a good job preparing you for interviews and getting your resume up to snuff.
You must be a self-starter to succeed. Do not expect to be handed anything or spoon-fed. You must have a genuine passion for technology and be willing to challenge yourself and be resourceful every day. Otherwise, the program isn't for you.

Going through Claim Academy’s Full-Stack Java Developer was a great decision for me. I had started out self-teaching myself front end technologies for web development on top of my day job. I knew I wanted to be a developer for at least 2.5 years running but just wasn’t sure the best pathway, especially for someone who wanted to stay in St. Louis. I strongly feel that Claim Academy will show you that pathway. If you have some Java or C# knowledge all the better but not 100% necessary. The staff is quite helpful guiding you before, during and even after the course. If you don’t have any Java experience before coming in like me, I would suggest planning on spending time outside of class to keep yourself caught up. The mentors are strong and knowledgeable. Many will even help you if you get stuck on the weekend. By the time of graduation, I have had 5 interviews. Should you want to apply for jobs during your time here, just make sure you balance the time you need to spend on your capstone.
Also, you will get to see previous students come in once or twice a month and talk about their new jobs! Add to that, hiring companies will come in at least once a month as well.
All in all, the experience was a great one. More than I expected! Made some great friends along the way too. I certainly wouldn’t be where I would be today technically or with the added confidence in soft skills I gained from the experience at Claim Academy. I’m glad I did it! I want to thank the great staff at Claim for all the guidance and help along the way!

I've been trying to learn to code for awhile and found it difficult. Attending Claim Academy was the best choice I've ever made in accomplishing this goal. I loved how past students will come in to talk about their experience at Claim Academy and their current roles at their jobs. Employers also came in to talk about their companies and what they are looking for. The program gets you motivated and keeps you focused. I didn't have any issues with the pace or difficulty. The teachers were top notch, friendly and helpful. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need to succeed. I am now even more confident in moving forward with my personal endeavors.
Tip: I recommend coming in 1 to 2 hours early, coming in on the weekends and doing every assignment 2 or 3 times. Get rid of distractions and commit yourself.

I had the opportunity to attend Claim Academy for Full Stack C# .NET 3/2019 - 5/2019. It is full time M-F 45 hours a week for 12 weeks. You will learn a lot if you put in the effort. I was initially hesitant to attend, but I am glad I did. I quit my stable social work career to do this. Praneeth was a great instructor and Eric helped a lot the last few weeks. I was fortunate enough to receive a job offer in my 10th week to start my new career. The Claim staff are really invested in helping you land a job. Beyond learning technical skills, they will help with soft skills. There was ample opportunity for mock interviews and mock presentations. Can you learn this stuff on your own? Sure, but it would probably be tougher and take longer. Claim provides an environment of structure and support that you can't get elsewhere.

My experience at Claim Academy has been one of the best in my life. While at claim I gained a world class experience in computer programming. We worked on many small assignments that lead to a capstone project. I had access to great teachers and resources. We had time with our instructors but we also had downtime to do research on our own and learn on our own time. We were challenged daily. It was not easy to do all the projects and finish them on time. I had to do a lot of work at home after class. In addition to learning the front end and back end of programming we also learned soft skills and how to present ourselves to companies. We had a well rounded education. I would recommend Claim to anyone who is ready to be challenged and succeed in computer programming. Also we had access to many companies ready to hire throughout our time there.
