It's quite hard to put into words how grateful I feel for BrainStation! When I first started looking into bootcamps I was a little bit sceptical about the concept of becoming a "Software Developer" in just 12 weeks.
However, after having finished the bootcamp just now I am more than just blown away. Everything felt super professional from the first calls with the learning advisor, to the interview process, curriculum, and teachers. Massive appreciation go out to Andrew, and Jon who have been our instructors for the past 12 weeks and Jigar (our teaching assistant) who has always helped us with other coding related issues.
It's astonishing to see how well the instructors were able to break down complex topics to make them more digestable. To give you an example, during one of our group projects (group of four), Jon even offered to help us out on the weekend in case we get stuck. I think this just shows how much passion and motivation the instructors at BrainStation have.
I'm more than confident now that I have acquired all the skills to land a job as a junior software developer. Thank You again BrainStation for making all of this possible!! -

This Bootcamp was intense and pushed me in many ways, but it taught me so much and made me create things I had no idea I could do. My educators and peers were there as support throughout this journey which was so helpful. I have learnt so much about the industry and have met many amazing and talented people. Genuinely grateful for this entire experience and recommend this Bootcamp to anyone eager to learn a lot in a short amount of time in order to improve themselves and be successful in a new career path. -

At first I was skeptical because there would be a lot of information and lessons taught within a very small timeframe. But I came to realize once I started my first week that the educators were all very nice and approachable.
The lessons are broken down in a way that is easy to follow with very minor bumps (like learning Javascript for the first time). The bootcamp is very hands-on with the projects and each project is broken into sprints each week that corresponds to the specific lessons within that week.
The educators were all great and professional. They always took the time to make sure you know what you should know. They empathize with you and your position in your career transformation. They are very knowledgeable and sometimes take time away from school time just to help out with a problem.
I was first worried about some of my classmates being way too advanced in terms of knowledge, but turns out most of them are just starting a new career change with you. They are all supportive and always take time to help anyone in need.
If you're skeptical about educators and your potential cohorts, don't be because majority are very supportive. Everyone just wants everyone to succeed, whether it be your educators or fellow classmates. And who knows, you might be able to make a few friends out of it! -

Amazing!
Great instructors, very human approach, extremely challenging at times, but definitely worth your time! Some projects seem impossible to produce in such a short time, but the educators really have our backs. One of the biggest takeaways from the bootcamp is definitely that programming is a TEAM SPORT, which was very eye-opening for me. -

The BrainStation Python Course is the biggest grift on the internet. The instructors were good but the syllabus was empty. It was not worth the amount charged for it. I felt they just took advantage of my lack of knowledge about what Python entails to sell a very substandard product. They also claimed that there would be a complete collaborative Python Data project. Spoiler alert: That did not exist. -

I recommend this course for someone will little to no experience or an individual who worked in social. It is an excellent refresher program for those with some experience, and you will update your skills. -

Before starting here I was familiar with html, css and JavaScript. I had also built a few express apps as well as some android apps with Java. I thought I would learn some new libraries and tools but it was so much more than that. I grew tremendously as a developer. I left with confidence that I know what I was doing and a bunch of experience working collaboratively that I would have never got otherwise. I truly think it’s worth attending if you’re looking to make the jump into web development. -

Aadil Khan was a great instructor. He helped me understand the theoretical part of UX design in a manner that was easy to comprehend given I had little experience in UX. He was engaging and paced himself very well according to the needs of the students (from what I was able to tell). The breakout sessions were great and I loved that we got the opportunity to work on a project that allowed us to apply all the design principles. -

My journey at the BrainStation Vancouver downtown campus:
Changing careers and enrolling at the BrainStation Vancouver downtown campus was the best decision of my life. I have gained tremendous knowledge and skill in just three months. Getting the first position as a web developer in the industry is challenging. But today, I have a diploma, a good network of fellow students and people in the industry, good skills, and confidence and motivation to boost.
My educators, fellow students, and staff were fantastic. I felt supported throughout the program, and the educators were always helpful and knowledgeable.
Enrolling in a Bootcamp is an important decision; it is a substantial investment for most. I never considered a Bootcamp an alternative to self-learning. It was never an either-or decision. Instead, the BrainStation Bootcamp was an accelerant on my journey as a web developer. The goal is to gain the skills, knowledge, and qualities to get our first position in the industry. The question is: how will I get there? And when?
If you choose to enroll at a Bootcamp, I strongly recommend BrainStation. The gorgeous campus, the heartwarming interactions, the team collaboration, the events with industry partners, and the projects -- lots of projects -- are all reasons I am suggesting BrainStation.
Lastly, before enrolling at a Bootcamp, I strongly suggest you consider learning the foundations of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. It will help you make the most of your experience. And besides, as the ability to learn new concepts could well be the top quality of a programmer, it is never too early to begin. Good luck!

I enjoyed my time here, the course was everything it promised and I got what I exactly came for which is have experienced hands walk me through the whys of ux, behind the UI.
The course material does need updating though as some of the class instructors have sometimes had different views to the contents and offered much recent illustrations on many occasions.

I contemplated going through a UX Bootcamp for an entire year before I actually took the plunge. The thought of quitting my job, immersing myself back into an intensive learning environment, and making a career change was daunting. After all, what if it didn't work out and I had wasted all the time, money, and effort doing it for nothing? But everything that BrainStation gave me paid off in the end as I am now successfully working as a full-time UX Designer for a great company.
The course is intense and fast-paced, but the education team is all fantastic, kind, motivating, and there for you every step of the way. You are exposed to each part of the UX Process and by the end of the BootCamp, you will have a deep understanding of how to apply that process in the real world to help solve real business problems. Through design sprints, group collaborations, hackathons, case study projects, and individual workshops and lectures, students are taught and challenged to bring research into insights that help guide the UI design process in programs like Figma. BrainStation surrounds you with smart and creative individuals to help you learn with and from the best in the industry. While it's a lot of work and you will work long hours during the Bootcamp, it was still a lot of fun as I am still friends with several people from my Cohort, and I walked away a smarter and more confident individual.
After graduation, Annette and the career success team helped me so much in feeling prepared and making sure I was presenting my best self to employers. I was nervous about the hiring process since I had never really needed to go through it before. But every time I spoke to Annette, she gave me such fantastic career and interview advice and put my mind at ease. She was always looking out for me and trying to make connections to the BrainStation network on my behalf. While those relationships didn’t end up working out for me personally, they helped me grow confidence with each and every conversation I had, so I couldn't have gotten to where I was without them or without the career team's help.
My experience was as good as it could have been in a short 12-week program. You'll work hard but go into it with the right mindset of determination and you'll have an entire portfolio of great work to show for it and to take with you into the interview process. Can't recommend BrainStation enough! -

I have always been passionate about data, and recently decided to take a step forward into the world of data analytics. I was looking for a course that would be complex but also done in a timely manner, to understand better if data analytics would be something I would like to do moving forward. BrainStation's course was brilliant to give me a taste of the complex world of data analytics in just 10 weeks, by having concentrated lessons of Excel, SQL and Tableau, and challenging me to practically put the knowledge in the final project. It is a course I would recommend to anyone looking to enter the world of analytics. -

The class was great, definitely elevated by the instructors Chitra and Shaan. They made the classes very grounded to reality being product managers currently. They were both easy to talk to, approachable and always made the class engaging. The class content was what I expected before coming in, I wish there was more time to touch on the topics more in depth. With that said though, the breadth of information was appreciated as well. -

I attended BrainStation Data Science Bootcamp from July to September 2022, and for me personally it was grueling 12 weeks filled with tired eyes and sleepless nights, yet at the end of it all, I was satisfied & proud that I had learned new skills which would be help me transition my career into data science.
I personally tried learning these skills on my own however I can say with certainty I would not have covered so much in so little time. It’s the routine of those 12 weeks which help in learning. Though, many times I would feel that its too much and I’m not capable of doing it but strived through and completed it. The team at BrainStation is knowledge and they help you along each step.
They also have a strong career support team which help you throughout the bootcamp and prepare you well to face the world post bootcamp.
If anyone is thinking about joining a bootcamp, they should definitely look into BrainStation.

BrainStation’s teaching staff was well rounded and knowledgeable about the academic and real-world applications of data science.
The career support during the program was aimed at preparing folks that have little to no “on-the-job”.
I was happy with the breadth of material we covered— I am also happy with the depth we had in python. As someone with very little experience coding before the program I can comfortably code in python and I feel familiar enough with SQL and R to get more practice on my own. -

I am a graduate of the UX Design bootcamp at BrainStation. I chose BrainStation to help me in my career change because of its comprehensive curriculum. Throughout the program the educators and TAs made themselves available outside of lecture times to provide guidance on how to implement all the new skills being learnt into our projects. I finished the bootcamp with a live portfolio that will allow me to jump in to the job search process and, in the meantime, I feel equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to continue working on developing my portfolio in order to be a competitive candidate in the job search process. -

I am at the 5th-week mark of the 12-week UX Design bootcamp and wow. I have learned so much already ( I don't have any background experience in UX. Coming from a psychology background). Now don't get me wrong, it is a bootcamp, and it's a lot of after-hours working on projects and research, but if you're looking to learn and be prepared for the real world in just under three months, then this bootcamp will do just that. The educators are amazing ( if you happen to be in Joel MacLeod's class, you just won the lottery). The educators teaching my cohort and TA are all very knowledgable and shine a lot of insight into what goes on in the world of UX. If you're considering this bootcamp, I highly recommend getting familiar with the softwares you'll be using (Figma unless it's something new by the time you read this) to give yourself a head start. Overall, great experience! -

The Digital Marketing boot camp was exactly that- a boot camp! You learn a lot of information in a short amount of time, which can feel overwhelming but is an excellent way to learn more skills than just marketing skills- time management, prioritizing, organizing, etc. My course got moved online shortly before it was supposed to begin in-person, and at first I thought I would hate it, but it was actually totally fine and they have the online teaching down to a science. I would totally recommend it if you're looking to get into digital marketing, many of my classmates got jobs quickly even without previous marketing experience! Everything you learn is actual skills you will use on the job, and they really help you create an awesome portfolio and help you find a job. I recommend! -

Overall experience was amazing; curriculum, instructors, the whole team. I really appreciate instructors support and motivation through the bootcamp as I could feel challenging at times. It is incredible how much one can learn given a right curriculum and methodology. I truly appreciate how BrainStation worked on schedule, sequence of the topics, practice theory balance. Everything is highly professional. This experience helped take first steps towards data science field and land my first job shortly after the bootcamp.
I recommend to all data enthusiasts who are not afraid of challenges, long study hours, and who are ready to make learning their daily activity/habit. -

Great bootcamp. So glad I joined and went with BrainStation. Curriculum was relevant, in my first role after graduating I’m basically using the same stack that we learned in the bootcamp. The main instructors were great and is what got me through although there were a number of new instructors that would teach on occasion and those were hit and miss. But that wasn’t too often. The post bootcamp support was excellent as well. Seemed like they really care and are trying to help every step of the way. -

Had a wonderful experience participating in the online class for Digital Marketing with both my instructors as well as my classmates. The instructors all came from a professional background and are extremely knowledgeable and passionate in their fields. They are able to bring the best learning experience and ensure that students leave feeling confident and supported in the area. The class materials are well-thought out and the instructors were able to explain the concepts well. I'm glad I took this class with BrainStation. The process of registering for the class was also easy. Brainstation's Data Analytics Course was excellent. I learned a ton. When I started, I was at a crossroads of determining if I wanted to continue with sales operations or switch to a career in data. This was a great opportunity to get a feel for the school and learn SQL, Tableau, and improve my excel skills. I ended up deciding to continue on to the Data Science Bootcamp. -

I've now done 2 courses via BrainStation. The Python course was good but I think you can learn the same material cheaper elsewhere. However, the Data Science course was definitely worth the money but you need the Python knowledge to complete it.
Both courses were taught by Luis Andrade (based in London) who has a lot of experience in the field as well as teaching the material. Luis was very friendly and I did not hesitate to ask questions when needed. The fact the course was instructor led meant that you could ask questions as you went along and had help finding solutions to difficult problems (compared to some other courses where you watch a video and learn at your own pace). I really enjoyed working on my final project which provided me the opportunity to put my newly gained skills to a real life problem. I would highly recommend this course. It is a tough course, so be prepared to put in the time especially to wrap your head around all the statistics theory. In terms of constructive feedback, I would say if there are any questions regardless of where they appear in the workbook, solutions should be provided to aid the students learning experience. -

I knew almost nothing about data science prior to starting the bootcamp, and felt considerable anxiety about switching my career from business to data. However, Daniel and Zain, our amazing educators, did everything to make this intimidating experience an enjoyable one! It also helped that I took the bootcamp in person and was very fortunate to have some of the most friendly and talented classmates who I am in regular contact with after graduation. I was very lucky to have found my first data science job through BrainStation's Demo Day so the investment was well worth it for me. I'd recommend the data science bootcamp to anyone who has solid knowledge of math and stats, interest in solving business problems and is ready for a challenging but exciting 3 months.
