As a Team Manager, data analysis is a crucial part of my daily work, and this course significantly expanded my skill set. I gained valuable experience in different AI models, understanding their strengths and knowing which ones are best suited for specific tasks.One of the most practical takeaways was learning SQL—I not only enjoyed working with it but also started using it in my workflow instead of creating duplicated data in linked datasheets. Additionally, I now understand the importance of data cleaning before analysis and, most importantly, testing methodologies. AI can always generate answers, but ensuring their accuracy when working with data is essential.Another key learning was the basics of Python, which opened my eyes to its power in automation. However, the most valuable aspect of this course for me was gaining hands-on experience that enables me to engage my team members—helping them integrate AI into their daily tasks and improving our overall efficiency.Highly recommend this course to anyone looking to enhance their AI and data analytics skills in a business environment! -

For the past 10 months, I had intense yet very interesting journey into the world of Data Analytics. What stands-out in here, is that You get a lot of projects to make and then you are being evaluated by certain area experts. Another thing that helps you to understand the topics more in depth is that You have to be in a role of reviewer, which encourages you to understand the reasoning, prepare arguments and evaluate other learners. This is a very serious course which (although it allows quite a good flexibility of study time) is very demanding and rigorous about our commitment to them. Not reinventing the wheel:
In building software solutions and beyond, it is common to say if someone has solved a problem, why do it again? From my experience as a self-thought-growing data professional, I have learned from a lot of platforms, most of which prefer to build their unique learning materials. Also, as a community leader, it’s common knowledge that learning resources are freely available on the internet, giving you lay your hands on the best in a short time. We are often lost searching for materials that work, and reaching out to senior colleagues for recommendations does the trick.
Access to industry Mentors:
My first-hand experience with learning gives me the opinion that you get the best learning experience when you have a direct mentor(s). I mean you have a person(s) that gives you tasks, allows you to put your thoughts together for the solutions, and eventually reviews what you have done for corrections. In most MOOCs, this feature is absent or not well executed and we often annex the power of grassroots tech communities to find senior colleagues who can review our work, and finding that senior colleague who is interested in your growth is not common. Turing College gives you access to Senior Team Leads (STL) – professionals in their fields with > 5 years of experience, allows Junior Team Leads (JTL), and peers to do these reviews for some modules, incorporating the community mindset in all of us.
Weekly Standups as a community
In a normal work environment, it’s common to do daily, weekly, and biweekly standups depending on your company culture. In Turing College, there are 3 options of weekly standups you can join to bond with fellow learners, a JTL and STL. I see these standups more as a community because you get the chance to hear how others are progressing, solve pressing problems, and discuss random industry trends. Also, there are open sessions separated by tech data stacks where learners can join randomly to solve the bugs they have with STL.
All through my learning experience at Turing College, I enjoyed every moment and wish I could learn there forever. There is this “Yes! I know this” moment you get after completing a module. My favorite module is the “Main Analysis Types”; learning and solving problems on concepts like

- Funnels Analysis
- Customer Segmentation and RFM
- Customer Lifetime Value: comparing the Shopify approach to cohorts was fun

This is my third week here at Turing, and I’m really impressed. The program is very well organized, even for those with no prior experience or background in data. All learning materials are carefully selected from various sources such as YouTube, learning platforms, and magazines. Each resource is chosen thoughtfully and with great attention to quality.
Additionally, there are many optional studies and readings, which I love, as they allow me to dive deeper into the subject and understand its philosophy and essence. I’ve taken courses on different platforms before, but on those platforms, you’re completely on your own. At Turing, you sit at your desk, open your computer, and connect to the study room—where you’re surrounded by fellow learners, peers, and junior/senior team leaders. If you struggle with something, you can simply ask in the chat, tag your STL, or join discussion tables. You can also attend open sessions related to your topic, where an expert is available to answer your questions. Everyone is incredibly helpful—open-minded, international professionals and learners who create a great learning environment.
Weekly standup meetings and project reviews have also been incredibly valuable to me. I’ve received insightful feedback that I will keep in mind for future projects. This experience has gone beyond my expectations. I feel very lucky to be a learner at Turing College, and I highly recommend it. -

My experience at Turing College so far has been a great one. They have met every single expectation I had and they actually walk their talk.
At Turing College, you learn real-work/industry skills. There are some skills that I have now eg, SQL, Tableau, etc. that I learned from my studies at Turing college.
There are always professionals to support you along the way. My personal favourite is the Open Sessions, where you can hop on a meeting and ask for help on projects or anything you do not understand while studying.
Also, it doesn’t matter if you work full-time or not, the program is very flexible and it caters for your needs no matter how busy your schedule may be.
I would say it is definitely worth the money.

Community:
The colleagues and lecturers I have met are goal-oriented and very motivating. Studying is not easy, but with the support of others, even if you need encouragement, the journey becomes much easier. And if you have any questions about your studies, Turing College offers several ways to get help very quickly.
Flexibility:
This was very important for me personally to be able to plan my study time and reviews of projects by myself.
Study materials and projects:
I can say that the study material covers all the information needed for the subject and even encourages you to go deeper if you want. In addition, you can put this knowledge into practice in projects (which are challenging) that are reviewed by experts in the field. And that's great, because they review your individual work and give you feedback based on their practical experience. Data Analytics: started in August 2023, expect to finish in August 2024.
Turing College gives a strong foundation in SQL, Tableau/Power BI and Python, has an excellent community of peers and mentors in industry, practical tasks that simulate the day-to-day role of a data analyst, and constant support throughout the job-hunting process.
Positives:
1) The syllabus is strong and always being updated.
Students are exposed to SQL in their first month of studies, going from beginner to advanced in a couple of months. (The final SQL project in the second month is the most advanced SQL task I have come across, so after completing that, my SQL skills were elevated to the level expected for a junior data analyst. Turing ensures that we build on and reinforce those SQL skills in later modules, to the point where I now feel very confident in my technical skills).
As for Python, when I joined the module was just over a month long, so I have some basic knowledge of Python, enough to apply to logistic regression and risk analysis. Recently, however, Turing has updated the syllabus to put more emphasis on the importance of students having strong Python skills, so the module has now been expanded to a three-month module. I think this is excellent and shows that Turing has its finger on the pulse of current industry trends and requirements.
2) Industry professionals are easy to access and provide great mentoring.
With a couple of exceptions, every project (between 10 and 15, depending on the specialisations you choose) is reviewed by an industry professional (from companies such as IBM, Vinted, Western Union, etc…), so you get very detailed feedback, an insight into how this project would be approached in the real world, and an opportunity to build a relationship with a potential mentor.
3) The community is very active and supportive.
Open sessions are held multiple times a day to help learners if they’re stuck on a project, while weekly standups give learners a chance to interact with other people who started at the same time as they did (in the presence of an industry mentor), which helps foster a great community feel.
Even though the studies are online, I have made a new friendship group from my studies, something that I haven’t experienced when studying online elsewhere (e.g. in my MSc programme at university).
There are also dedicated weekly standups for those who are in the endorsement and hiring stage, which helps to guide you during the job search.
Any negatives?
I have heard the occasional complaint about the quality of some peer reviews, but I would say this is the exception rather than the rule. All of my peer reviews have been good, many have been exceptional, and anyone reviewing your work must have passed the project already, which gives some quality control.
I would be wary of expecting to finish the programme in the time it says on the website. It says 6-10 months for the data analytics programme, but 10 months is more realistic than 6. Those who finish in 6 may complete the core modules, but if you want to get the most out of the programme I think it makes a lot of sense to take as many specialisation modules as you can (of which Python is one), so you should assume it will take longer than you think.
Will it get me a job?
I can’t speak from my experience, because I’m not at the stage where I’m applying, but a few people from my batch have already landed data analyst jobs, despite not yet finishing the programme. Turing’s endorsement/hiring preparation process is rigorous, and from speaking to friends outside of Turing, we learn more in-depth SQL at Turing than we would need in our day-to-day job, so I’m confident that the transition from Turing to the job market will be smooth.
As with many things, you get out what you put in. If you’re dedicated to switching careers into data analytics, I'm confident that you will find the programme at Turing very rewarding. -

I am happy that I have the chance to learn at Turing College! It is super nice that you have the option to learn at your own pace and connect with many motivated people from different backgrounds. This course is suitable for people without marketing experience as well. The training material covers a wide range of topics and gives you the option to dive deeper into the ones that are most interesting to you. Additionally, you have the option to discuss and share insights with your peers. Turing has a super helpful community where everyone tries to help if you get stuck. There are many online events that can be useful for your future, and some in-person events that are very useful for networking. Finally, your feedback is valuable! I love their feedback culture, where after each sprint and module, you can leave feedback for future training improvements and also receive and give feedback to your peers. -

Curriculum is on-point and constantly updated, but that's the easy part. Turing College stands out in a different way.
First of all, the community. There actually is one with active participation from people with all experience levels and that helps you advance faster than by trying to look things up online.
2nd, clear deadlines with tasks to complete and review with peers and seniors as well as weekly standups make you find time for learning when you typically wouldn't.
3rd, the staff's support is always there, fast, helpful, and kind. You're amazing!
In terms of drawbacks, probably the only thing is that getting a review can be tricky during summertime with your peers more interested in chilling by the lake, but staff comes to help if this begins to get frustrating and I'm sure it will only get better with scale.
So to round it all up, you have a nice mix of up to date materials, mentorship from folks working in the field, community support from peers, some pressure to stay on path and finish the course, fast technical support from staff, and probably something else I forgot to mention.
