I had a good experience with Skillians Academy overall. What I liked the most is that they focus more on practical session rather than just theory. The trainers actually explain things in a simple way and are approachable if you have doubts. You don’t feel ignored, which is something I’ve seen in many other institutes.The environment is supportive and motivating. They guide you properly about career paths and are honest about what to expect, instead of making fake promises. The team is responsive, and whenever there was an issue, it was addressed without unnecessary delay.One thing I appreciated is that Skillians doesn’t rush learning just to finish the syllabus. This review is based on my personal experience at The Skillians Academy. No training institute is perfect, so I’m sharing this with an open and unbiased mindset.I’m not labeling anything as a “pro” or “con”, because what works well for one person might not work for another. I’ll mainly highlight points you may not easily find on their website. For basic details, their official website is the best source.1. Learning Environment

• The learning pace is fast.
• Foundational concepts are covered properly, but you must stay consistent.
• For each topic:
  • Around 65–80% is taught in class
  • The remaining 20–35% is expected to be learned through assignments
    
    

2. Assignments & Teaching Associates (TAs)

• Assignments play a major role in learning.
• If you get stuck, you can contact a Teaching Associate (TA).
• TAs are:
  • Senior students or program graduates
  • Meant to guide, not give direct answers
• They provide hints or direction, not solutions.
• Each TA has a different mentoring style.
• TA allocation is random.
  
  

3. Course Coverage

• Equal importance is given to:
  • Web Development / Data Science (Pay After Placement program)
  • Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)
• You cannot ignore DSA even if you are more interested in development.

4. Trainers & Teaching Style

• Trainer quality is consistent in some topics and inconsistent in some.
• Some trainers explain concepts very well.
• Others know the subject but struggle with clear explanations.
• Questions are allowed, but if clarity is lacking:
  • Self-learning becomes necessary
• You cannot change trainers.
• You may switch batches, but:
  • You cannot drop out midway once enrolled.
    
    

5. Placement Eligibility Criteria

• Placement eligibility starts only after becoming Skillians Accredited.
• To get accredited, you must clear:
  • All units
  • Assignments
  • Projects
  • Mock interviews
• Once eligible:
  • You must attend at least 2 interviews per week
    
    

6. Placement Rules & Relocation

• If you clear an interview:
  • You are expected to join the company
  • Relocation is mandatory if required (unless remote)
• If you refuse to join after clearing an interview:
  • Your ISA gets activated
• In my case:
  • I was placed through Skillians
  • I relocated as required
    
    

7. CTC & Salary Reality

• Minimum guaranteed CTC: ₹8 LPA
• My offer:
  • ₹8.1 LPA total
  • ₹7 LPA fixed
  • ₹1.1 LPA variable/bonus
    
    

8. ISA & Loan Breakdown (Very Important)The ISA details on the website can be confusing, so here’s a simple example:If your CTC is ₹8 LPA:

• Monthly salary: ~₹66,666
• Take-home: ~₹62,000–66,000

ISA Details:

• ISA amount: ₹1,00,000
• GST (18%): ₹18,000
• Total repayment: ₹1,18,000
• Duration: 12 months
• Monthly EMI: ~₹9,880

Effective take-home after EMI:

• ₹66,000 – ₹9,880 ≈ ₹54,600 per month
  
  
  

9. Job Loss & EMI Risks

• If you lose your job:
  • EMI does not pause automatically you will have to request them 
• You must inform Skillians and request temporary support.

10. Final Thoughts

• Think carefully before joining Skillians or any ISA-based program.
• Training and placement support exist.
• But the entire repayment responsibility is on you.
• Do not rely only on the institute.

I joined the Skillians Data Science and Machine Learning program in August 2025, but the program did not meet the commitments made during enrollment.

Classes were irregular, the teaching was unstructured, and the course mostly focused on DSA instead of proper Data Science and Machine Learning. The passing criteria also differed from what was mentioned in the contract. There was no proper support for mock tests, resume building, referrals, or placements.
 

AND THE MAIN THING IS THE ALUMNI PROFILES THEY SHARED ARE THE PROXY ACCOUNTS OF SKILLIANS EMPLOYEES TO CREATE FAKE PLACEMENT DATA. THE COUNCELLORS ARE JUST FOR YOUR ADMISSION AFTER ADMISSION THEY WILL IGNORE YOU AND MOST OF THEM ALREADY LEFT THE JOB. A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE FILED CONSUMER FRAUD CASES AGAINST THEM AND SOON THEY WILL BE CLOSED. IF SOMEONE STILL WANTS TO TAKE THE COURSE THEN KEEP WASTING YOUR MONEY AND TIME. Read less

I enrolled in this course expecting the quality of training, academic standards, and placement support as advertised. However, my experience has been deeply disappointing.   The assessment criteria were modified without prior notice, making the passing standards inconsistent with the initial contractual agreement. Furthermore, the public claims regarding placement statistics and course outcomes do not accurately reflect the ground reality experienced by students in my batch.   Requests for resolution and fee refunds have gone unaddressed.  I’ve been really impressed with the way concepts are explained—everything makes sense, even if the pace is a bit fast sometimes.  Honestly, the courses actually teach stuff you can use in real life, not just boring theory. i attended AIML course, it was truly enriching experience. i am in the current batch of the skillians, let me tell you the truth , it is good , i have been here for 2 months , but each and every class is well taught, doubt sessions are conducting now over the weekends and i was very very estatically drawn with the explainations and all, my current batch mentor is sanskar sir , i would say the speed is a little high but yes concepts are understandable, program overall seems to be typically working for me, people eill have to study here there is not a lot of hand holding.  Read less

I joined the Data Science course at Skillians in the February 2025 batch and regret not listening to the negative reviews I saw online. I am writing this to urge others to save their time and money. I wasted nine valuable months on a course that did not deliver on its promises.

Misleading Timelines and Placement Odds
Original Promise vs. Reality: We were initially told the program would include two placement tests, with the first in three months and the second in the fourth month. In reality, the first test took six months (July), and the second test took an additional three months (September). This drastic delay wasted five months of my time.

Dismal Placement Chances: The results of the tests show how low the chances of placement actually are:

Test 1 (July): Only 61 to 70 people passed out of 120.

Test 2 (September): A shockingly low 4 members passed out of the 61 who were eligible. This means the vast majority of people who spent nine months in this program will not be placed.

Extremely Poor Quality of Instruction
The quality of the teaching staff and curriculum was unacceptable.

Inexperienced Instructors: Skillians brought in instructors who were 2024 graduates—some of whom were juniors to me in terms of professional experience.

Lack of Skills and Structure: These teachers lacked proper technical skills and did not provide structured instruction. Their main method was to hand out a DSA (Data Structures and Algorithms) sheet and simply tell us to "complete it," offering very little meaningful guidance or teaching.

My Experience and Regret
When I saw a bad review on Reddit before joining, a Skillians recruiter dismissed it, claiming it was just negative feedback from rival companies. I now know that review was genuine. I wish I had listened to that person.

Please do not join Skillians. They are disorganized, their teaching is poor, and their broken timeline and test results prove they are wasting your valuable time. I feel completely scammed. Read less

The Skillians Academy gives decent learning with good mentors and real projects. Their pay-after-placement option is helpful, but read the terms properly. Sometimes classes get rescheduled, yet the support team tries to help. Overall, a fair choice if you’re serious about tech careers. Read less

The Skillians Academy Data Analyst course was intense and yet, by far, the best learning experience I have ever had. Firstly I was a bit sceptical about it but I gave it a shot and it truly changed my life. I came into The Skillians with zero experience in tech in general.
