Tech Elevator offers both full-time and part-time beginner coding bootcamps that prepare students for a career as a full-stack software developer. Throughout the bootcamp, students learn Java, HTML, CSS, SQL, JavaScript, and more. The full-time bootcamp runs for 14 weeks, Monday through Friday, 9-4:30 pm, and the part-time bootcamp runs for 30 weeks with a mix of independent study, live lectures and small-group programming. Both programs have a low student-to-instructor ratio to ensure the best supportive environment for participants. Tech Elevator's instruction is delivered online via its National Live Remote program.
Tech Elevator’s career-readiness Pathway Program includes personalized career coaching sessions, interview practice, 6 months of career placement support post-graduation, and alumni and mentor networking. Tech Elevator also offers its students and alumni direct connections to employers through employer showcases and interviewing events.

Jumping into a boot-camp is a large time investment and costs a lot. For me, this meant quitting my job to focus on the content, and taking a large financial risk. Not for one second did I ever regret it!
My time at Tech Elevator was difficult, but the knowledge and experience I gained was certainly worth it. From day 1, everyone really made the effort to make the students comfortable. The concepts you will learn at TE are difficult, but the staff was there every step of the way, and always made sure help was available if needed. The staff and teachers really do seem to care about you as an individual, and want to see you succeed. I never felt like just a number that they wanted to add to their success rate statistics. Everyone was invested in us actually succeeding.
I will say that even though TE does give you lessons, you will still need to invest some time into outside of the classroom. Programming is simply too broad to learn everything in 14 weeks. They will tell you this upfront as well, and it is true. The teaching definitely provides structure while you are trying to learn, but you will need to look some things up on your own.
Speaking more to the Pathway program, which prepares you for the job hunt and interviews, I felt this side was very important as well. While attending, it may feel like a side note to the actual programming lessons, but it is just as important! You can know everything related to programming, but if you can't interview you won't find yourself employed. I would highly advise to take this part of the program just as seriously as the technical side. The pathway program instructors are all wonderful people, and they really do go above and beyond to help you in the job hunt!
Overall, I am very happy with my time at Tech Elevator, and I whole-heartedly recommend it if you are trying to break into the tech field and need some structure to your learning. One week after graduating, I received a job offer and I am starting on my developer journey!Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

After 21 years in hospitality, I didn't feel like I was growing anymore, and I missed the rush that came with advancement. It would have been very easy to remain content in hotel management, but I knew that I didn't want to spend another 20 years doing it. So after speaking with some colleagues about the world of tech and all of the possibilities that it contained, I decided to take the leap of faith. A bootcamp was the most logical starting point so that I could absorb as much pertinent information as soon as possible, while also bypassing the "fluff classes" and insane costs of going back to school.
I couldn't have been more happy by choosing Tech Elevator. Their curriculum is well structured, the instructors are industry experts, and the Pathway Directors were sincere advocates in job placement assistance.
Was the bootcamp hard? Hell yeah it was hard, but to go through it with other brave classmates that were enduring the same challenge, it encouraged an immediate camaraderie that I'll cherish forever.
As I type this, I'm 3 weeks removed from the bootcamp, and am proud to say that I just accepted a role as a project administrator (with prospects of growing into a Project Manager- IT role). Learning software development was an awesome foundation to open the door to this role, and I have Tech Elevator to thank.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

My only critique would be to try and maybe reorganize the curriculum so that students can learn how to manage a project earlier and then implement that learning throughout the rest of the bootcamp and in their own side projects.Overall5.0Curriculum4.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

Tech Elevator will give you all the tools you need to succeed. Before you begin classes I would do as much coding prep as you can on freecodecamp or Udemy. Even if you don't fully grasp what you've done it will help when you see it again in class.
Best advice I could give;
1. Make a portfolio page on your github. I believe this helped a lot to get interviews and secure offers.

In the fall of 2021 I left my job as a tradesman in pursuit of greater challenge and reward. I attended TE's 14 week Java course and attained employment only weeks after my graduation. This course has enabled me to attain the skills and understanding to undergo a completely new career in the world of Tech. I was greatly satisfied with the staff as well as the overall culture of the program. I was put into a class of 15 students with one designated technical teacher for half of the day. The other half of the program was completely focussed on the career preparation and it is known as the Pathways program. The Technical class gave me the skills and no-how to enter into a Jr. developer role and the Pathways program assisted me in things like resume building, mock interviews, as well as employer panels and much more. I only have positive things to say about the staff who is extremely attentive and works diligently to prepare their students for complete success and does so with an overall positive demeanor. A few people to mention who where extremely helpful throughout my journey where Andy Chong Sam, Peggy Kachevas, Sarah Breen and Margaret Green. I would highly recommend this program to anyone in search of a start in the world of Web.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

When I enrolled in TE, I knew they’d throw a lot at you since it’s only 3 months, but the course plan was laid out perfectly. It was intense, for sure, but my instructors (Mary and Katie) were extremely helpful with making sure everyone had a good understanding of each topic. The pathway program is really what makes TE stand out from other boot camps. Laura, Cierra, and Sarah made sure everyone was ready for the transition into the tech industry and they worked so hard to ensure everyone nailed their interviews and answered all questions thrown at them. Needless to say, I would recommend TE to absolutely anyone considering taking the leap into tech!Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

It allowed me to transition from an unhappy career in restaurants to a more balanced and engaging one in software, and it happened mere weeks before the world went on lock-down and every kitchen I’d ever cooked in closed for good!
The bottom line is that the work is challenging, the instructors are excellent, the career advice is indispensable, and if you apply yourself and basically just follow their suggestions in earnest you will almost certainly get hired upon (or before) graduation. And that's the whole point- the curriculum is designed to give you a solid foundation to build from, and the Pathway program gets your foot in the door with an employer. From there it's up to you where you want to go with your career.
After graduation I spent a little time writing features for a java-based framework before being accidentally thrust into the DevOps world. I find the work I do now to be very rewarding. And although little of what I touch day-to-day was covered specifically in the curriculum at Tech Elevator, the foundational knowledge we were given is universal. And most importantly I (re)learned how to learn there. Picking up new tools, frameworks, and languages is still very hard, but I don’t find the firehose of knowledge quite as daunting anymore. None of this would have happened without the help of my incredible instructors and Pathway directors at Tech Elevator!Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

I couldn't realistically afford to go back to college and hated working in the service industry. I went in with an associate's degree in a completely unrelated field and got a job within a month of graduating. It is up to you how far you will go once you graduate. You have to listen to your pathway instructors as well as your technical instructors, as technical ability will only take you so far. You will have to study and put in a lot of effort to succeed, but it is only three months, and it will pay off in the long run.
The pathway program seems to really put Tech Elevator above other coding bootcamps. Preparing you with mock interviews and what to expect once you enter the workforce was extremely valuable. If you are willing to dedicate yourself to something for 3 months, to quit your job, and to deal with some stress, you will come out of the other side with a job. It is not a quick and easy way to make money, but it was certainly easier than wallowing in career purgatory. I'd also say that it isn't the most incredibly difficult thing in the world either, as long as you are not completely ignorant when it comes to technology and have some understanding of what programming entails before diving in. Personally, I studied JavaScript everyday for a month, doing practice problems on various websites before starting the program. It put me ahead of the game and made things much easier. I suggest you do the same.Overall5.0Curriculum4.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

After a couple of years of feeling stuck at a dead-end in retail management, I had decided to go back to school for a second Bachelor's in Computer Science when some friends in the Tech industry came alongside me and suggested a Software Bootcamp. I approached the thought of a Bootcamp with a healthy amount of skepticism but after doing a ton of research and interacting with the Tech Elevator staff, going to a BootCamp, Tech Elevator, in particular, was a no-brainer. I talked with Computer Science graduates and Bootcamp graduates and everyone seemed to be in support of the Bootcamp route. After going through the program, I can't recommend it enough! You will certainly get out what you put into your experience there, and if you really put your head down and hustle hard every day you will have a bright future ahead of you coming out. The network of hiring partners Tech Elevator has access to, and connects you with as a student, is reason enough to choose TE, but the Pathway team does an incredible job of helping prepare you to put your best foot forward going into the hiring process, while the instructors prepare you on the technical aspects! I went from a skeptic working retail to someone with several opportunities at my fingertips and was thankful and fortunate to have accepted an offer from one of those opportunities before I even graduated! They take their jobs very seriously at Tech Elevator, the reputation of their graduates is very highly regarded, and they work extra hard to keep up with relevant technologies by keeping a finger on what employers in their hiring network need. It's an incredible way to get into tech and I could not recommend a better Bootcamp!Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

I did it because I felt they could help me get hired as a software developer. I got admitted and in July, one month before graduation, I already had a job offer with the company I wanted to work for.
I think that Tech Elevator has a great program. They have excellent instructors who have been technical leads and know how teams work in companies. My instructor was Rich Seeds. He covered not only what was part of the curriculum. He taught us the little tricks that will not appear in a manual or an online course and that you only get with experience. Yoah Morahg, the other instructor, was always equally available when we had questions.
The pathway program is the career portion of the program and it is equally important for the students. I think it made me take a deep look at myself, which in turn made it easier for me to have career conversations. The program was led by Aly Brine and the campus director, Caitie Zajko. For me this was particularly important. They had a lot of activities. People from different companies come to visit and you can ask questions to IT directors, Vice Presidents, recruiters.
I think that they also take great care in selecting students and I really like the people that I met. Actually, I am still in touch with some of them and feel that we will be friends for life.
Another thing that impressed me was that you feel that they all really care for you and that they want you to be successful.
I enjoyed my experience and it was very valuable to me. I was very happy that I attended Tech Elevator and think it was one of the best decisions I ever took.

What I loved about the school the most is that everything was very organized, the instructors were very professional. In addition to that, they are always there to explain additional questions, etc., and the material that was given to us was up to date.
I love the culture here and all the Pathway Directors are super awesome.
The program itself has coding and career development.
As for the program, it is very fast-paced, in a good way. That is the way that I like to learn, so I was able to adapt easily. It's what you would expect from a regular class. The difference, I think, is the staff. Anybody is there to teach you and help you with the current material. They also will take the time to help you as much as they can to make sure you understand the material, even outside of regular class hours.
Career development involves helping you make an efficient resume, interviewing, and as well as a LinkedIn profile. They want to help make your resume look as good as possible for your future job post graduation, but also to help further down the line as well! When it comes to interviewing, they help with both HR-style interviews and coding interviews.
If you want to step into the IT field but do not know where to start - Tech Elevator Bootcamp is the best place to reach!
