Great people and great experience in the bootcamp
I'm new to coding, first I felt that IT is much more difficult than what I thing before I start my learning. But after joining Sigma Schools, all the resources they provided, instructor, class and learning material makes me feel that coding is not really that hard as I think. People are very helpful to each other to learn and improve together.

Densely packed curriculum but easy to understand for beginners

The full-time bootcamp course is 4-months-long with a different module being taught every month. Each module is compact with basic need-to-know topics & lessons, so you'll have to do some self-study if you want to know more about a particular topic/lesson. Classes are fairly engaging and students are encouraged to participate in the coding challenges and/or code-along exercises to further your own understanding of each lesson. I enjoy being able to apply the knowledge that I'd gained during lessons in a practical hands-on manner. The instructors and my peers are a great source of help and knowledge during and after class. -

I Got a Software Developer Job Before the Bootcamp Ends

No, this is not endorsed or a paid review. No, I was not pressured into writing this. And, no. I had no diploma or degree to begin with. What I wrote here is as honest as I could be.
I enrolled in their course as a full-time student back in January with a focus in their Complete Software Development Programme (CSDP) curriculum. If you have no experiences in bootcamps, one way I can describe is that it's an accelerated learning journey.
You will need to carry your own weight throughout this course. I am not kidding that I had to code 5-6 hours after the class ends so I can catch up to the upcoming lessons. But along the way, it taught me how it's like to be a software developer -- You will struggle (that's a given in this industry) and you will feel lost. But along the way you will pick up the skills required to debug and resolve errors on your own.
I am giving this review 5 stars because it helped me achieve what I wanted -- getting that software dev job which is the point of this bootcamp. I have no tertiary education background at all and I wanted to get a job in a field where the norm is having a computer science degree or an IT programmer diploma. The project-based lessons provided had helped me become better equipped to enter this industry and I can't wait to start my next chapter in my career.
Shoutout to my instructor MJ for being able to always answer my questions. Even though I am an online student of the bootcamp, I still have some sense of participation in the class. Please read the other reviews below if you want something structured. But I think what I wrote here would resonate more to other people who had always planned on career-switching from their mundane jobs -

I'm currently a full-time student at Sigma School, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The instructors are fantastic—they really know their stuff and make complex topics easy to understand, even for beginners like me.
What I love most about Sigma School is their focus on teaching practical skills that are actually useful in the job market. They don't waste time on irrelevant stuff; instead, they help us build a strong foundation and develop the skills we need to land a job.
The learning materials are top-notch and super accessible, which has made my learning journey smooth and enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Sigma School to anyone looking to upskill and boost their career prospects. -

My time has here has definitely made an impact in my life and I'm sure yours will too. Wheather you're here to upskill yourselves, looking for a job or just wants a community to talk to. Sigma School is worth considering. Their emphasis on hands-on projects and minimal hand-holding is a refreshing approach to learning, not just coding, but any skill in general. Rather than just memorising or pray the code will work, their approach is theres always a logic behind it. -

I was with zero coding experience, looking forward to start a career in tech. Started joining this boot camp 2 months ago, from not knowing any line of coding, to able to create my own web application. I would say that so far, my overall experience was great. They have good friendly and very supportive community. I got all the supports and resources that i need as they do have a very responsive support team of experienced developers. Most importantly, the learning experience was smooth, well structured curriculum that are easy to follow and digest. I able to understand complex concepts step by step. Never thought I can code this quick though. Very recommended for beginners 👍🏻 -

The instructor's ability to break down complex coding concepts was a strong point. They demonstrated a genuine passion for teaching and were always approachable for questions and additional support. The collaborative atmosphere created by the instructor contributed significantly to the overall positive vibe of the bootcamp.
I wholeheartedly recommend Sigma School to anyone looking to embark on a journey into the world of coding or transitioning into the field.

The instructors have been incredibly friendly, patient, and supportive throughout this 3-month coding bootcamp. Coming into this with zero coding experience, I was honestly nervous and unsure if I could keep up. But thanks to their constant guidance, encouragement, and clear explanations, I was able to learn step-by-step and eventually build my very own full-stack application, something I never imagined doing in such a short time.
They never hesitated to answer questions, no matter how basic they were, and always made sure everyone was on the same page. Their willingness to stay back, troubleshoot our issues, and offer individual feedback made a big difference in my learning experience. What really stood out to me was how they created a safe and motivating environment where we were not afraid to make mistakes and learn from them.
This bootcamp has not only taught me technical skills but also helped me build confidence in problem-solving, collaboration, and adapting to new challenges. I’m truly grateful for everything the instructors have done for us. Their passion for teaching and genuine care for our progress inspired me to keep going, even when things got tough. Thank you for making this journey so meaningful! -

Amazing Learning Experience

It was quite intensive, as you will likely learn new things every day, but I actually enjoyed learning throughout the 3 months.
A typical daily class consists of a short lecture with a live coding session for around 3 hours. It also got a support session where you can join to get further understanding.
You will learn all the necessary knowledge and skills on how to build a full-stack project from fundamentals to frontend to backend. For the final project, you will build a full-stack project mainly using React, Node.js/Express, PostgreSQL, and Firebase, at the same time, you will learn about good developer practices like version control, deployment, and debugging. Also, you get to learn some computer science knowledge like data structures and algorithms, which is really great.
Not just that, it brings more than just building a full-stack project, it provides you with career help like resume writing and job support where you can network with peers after you graduate. -

Great Bootcamp
A full supportive instructor with a good experience in the industry. They can deliver the contents in the easiest way especially for beginners or anyone that has no experience with tech. The syllabus is easier to understand and well-structured not like any YouTube videos you found. -

Having enrolled at Sigma School as a part-time student, it has offered me great flexibility whilst working full-time. The online live sessions helped in guiding me through my questions and doubts, the instructors are more than friendly to answer your questions. They also have a discord server, you will join a Web Dev community where you can get your coding questions answered.
Most importantly, Sigma School listens to their students. They treat your feedback seriously and want you to succeed. Enough said. -

My experience with Sigma School was unique and unexpectedly pivotal in shaping my tech career. Although I didn't complete their course, I found immense value in the platform's expansive network. It was through Sigma School that I connected with a company seeking assistance on a software project. This engagement not only enriched my practical skills but also evolved into a full-time job.
What stood out to me about Sigma School was its vibrant community and the opportunities it presented, extending well beyond the traditional curriculum. While platforms like Udemy played a significant role in my self-study journey, Sigma School added a crucial dimension by opening doors to tangible tech opportunities. -

Reckless startup without proper learning management and student support!
Read more Read less of Anonymous's review
The online learning system that they’ve implemented last year was a well-created and organised but the involvement of the educators was a total disaster! There was no assignment and assessment feedbacks from the coaches (even though promised by the founder himself that there’ll be changes made on certain issues raised but nothing ever materialised). Even post-completion of the syllabus, I had to request for a certificate to be issued as there was no one responsible for tracking students’ progress and even when prompted, the person mentioned that a certificate wasn’t important. Also the final nail in the coffin was their promise to provide graduates with job search support and placements but there was nothing done even when approached regarding this matter. At the end of the day, students will have to find jobs or internships themselves so if you’re deciding to sign up for this school, please head to another institution if you do not intend to end up being disappointed. Their motto of “get a job or 100% free” is purely a marketing gimmick. This startup was built without any prior planning, organisation and responsibility, but a quick-profit scheme! I’m giving instructors a 5-star as dedication to one of their former instructors who supported me throughout my learning journey.Haris Samingan of Sigmaschool

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Sigma School. We appreciate both your positive remarks and constructive criticisms, as they are crucial for our continuous improvement. Please allow me to address the points you raised:- We are glad to hear that you found our online learning system well-created and organised. We continuously strive to provide an effective and engaging learning environment for our students.
- Second, we understand your concerns regarding educator involvement and assignment feedback. To enhance this, we have implemented a process where students can request project reviews through our Discord channel.
- Additionally, our new curriculum has included a form that you need to fill up to track your progress on. We understand the challenges brought by these changes and are committed to help our support of the transition to the new curriculum.
- Moreover, regarding the certificates, it’s important to clarify that they are awarded upon successfully passing our assessments and promotional tests. We recognize that our revised progress tracking system has affected some of our students from our earlier batches, and we are working diligently to ensure help students transition in the future.
- For the job support feedback, it is important to take note that we offer job support once a student has completed all four modules by passing the promotional tests and assignments. Once a student graduates, we work closely with them to offer job support such as resume review, interview preparation and passing the resumes to our hiring partner.
- To add on, in Sigma School, our mission is to make quality education affordable, aiming to help individuals to secure employment without huge financial commitment. Our changes to the curriculum is proof to our commitment of improving the quality of our education.
- We also want to express our gratitude for you acknowledging the positive impact of our former instructor. Their dedication is a testament to the supportive learning environment we strive to foster at Sigma School.
- Regarding our motto “get a job or 100% free,” it is certainly not a marketing gimmick. We stand by our promise – if you graduate, put in the effort to find a job and are unsuccessful, we will refund your tuition.
