re:WORK TRAINING

I recently completed Cohort 56 of Re:Work's 8 week training program, and honestly, the experience was amazing.

The program equips aspiring BDRs and SDRs with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to pursue real opportunities in tech sales. But what stood out most to me was how hands on and personal the experience was.Shout out to Shelton Banks for creating this platform and to my instructor, Jason Canady, for being incredibly present throughout the program. Even with multiple people in the cohort, they made the effort to build real relationships, provide one on one guidance, and make sure no one felt like they were just another name on a Zoom call.And the fact that this program is free is honestly insane. The level of practical, go to market focused knowledge, support, and mentorship we received is the type of value people would normally pay THOUSANDS $$$ for.Somebody has to start charging for this eventually because this type of game should not be free 😂Seriously though, I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and excited to apply everything I learned as I continue my journey into tech sales. I am currently enrolled in the re:WORK cohort and, thus far, have been enriched by the time spent learning about tech sales and the BDR role. I did not previously have an affinity toward tech sales; however, my interest was piqued when a friend enrolled in a previous cohort said it would provide a competitive edge to my job search, possibly placing me in a role upon completion. Even if I leave this program with no interest in a BDR role, the tools I have gained for making my skills marketable across industries and increasing my overall hiring potential have made it truly valuable. Not to mention, the instructors really care that you "walk away with something". With that said, I think the cohort is well worth the investment — it will reciprocate the energy you put into it. re:Work was definitely not on my bingo card this year. I had been flirting with the idea of getting into tech, but honestly didn’t know how to break into the field. A lot of programs wanted major upfront payments, and as a freelance professional, I pay attention to every penny I earn.What I appreciated most about re:Work was the no-cost opportunity to learn real, transferable skills. Yes, we’re learning how to become BDRs, but the training goes far beyond sales. The level of value they provide is incredible. I’ve paid for sales training in the past that didn’t come close to what I received here—this is truly top-tier.
