Nucamp was the cheapest option, and I liked learning about JavaScript the most. -

Web Fundamentals Review

For the most part, I felt like I understood everything, although occasionally I felt lost. I really enjoyed the instructional videos. I thought they were very thorough & understandable. I think I could have used more chances to write code on my own that provided an explanation after I attempted the code myself. For example, during the code challenges, it would be nice if the answers were provided. In the end, although I was pretty sure I understood everything, I didn't feel very confident to start writing code on my own. -

I really enjoyed the teacher and he was very helpful. One thing would be to layout what getting hired in the future would entail. -

Full Stack Web and Mobile dev

I am currently in a react-native portion of the full stack course. The whole course revolved around building the same website first using bootstrap, then using react and then react-native. The course videos are sub-par and you will end up learning from googling a lot. The video only talks about the nucamp website you are building so if you want to build something on your own, you will feel lost. Min(the instructor in the video) does a poor job in explaining the content and most of the time you will feel like a code-monkey.
The in-person instructors care a lot and really want you to learn, however you are slammed with so much information that it will be hard for the instructor to catch up. I am not done with the course yet, I think the course is a good introduction but it is not good enough to get a job unless you have programmed before. The bootstrap course is easy but the longest, the react and react-native course are confusing and still given less time. -

Love it!

I chose Nucamp because I work full-time and most other coding camps require way too much time during the week. Nucamp was the best of both worlds with the hybrid structure. I also appreciated the cost since most bootcamps were much, much more. I really liked the weekend in-person sessions; I felt that is where I learned the most because I was able to take the week's work and learn from it with peers. -

Web Fundamentals Course
I recently took the Web Development Fundamentals course offered at Nucamp and I would definitely recommend the course to others wanting to explore into the career of web development. The course is very affordable and is taught by very mindful instructors that are there for you to learn.

Nucamp is fantastic!

I chose Nucamp because its a good hybrid between in-person bootcamps and being self-taught. Having the weekly structure gives you accountability and encourages you to stay at a productive pace. The instructor was phenomenal and having other people in the course enables you to work together; so you are never alone no matter what skill level you are. This bootcamp definitely doesn't spoon feed you (a very good thing!) and it will definitely challenge you so you have to come in with the willingness to learn, struggle, and grow. Its a great program, but you also can't expect them to tell you EVERYTHING. There's a lot to learn so having additional supplemental material from other sources will boost your learning experience even more!

NuCamp
As a beginner, this course of HTML CSS and Js was a good start to gain confidence and a lot of knowledge.
I'll take the Fullstack next week and I'm pretty excited. -

Solid Intro Course!
The video tutorials left a little to be desired, but our instructor (Naasir) continually fed us pdfs and additional video links to further our understanding. I feel like the price is fair for what you get--it's an intro course but it's VERY immersive. I'd pay for a "Part 2" intro course if they offered one, just so when I went into Bootstrap, etc., I'd be even more prepared.

NuCamp Rocks!

NuCamp is great for the working professional trying to transition careers. Much like every other self guided class, this is very much "you get out of it what you put into it" and some students fail to see that. If you're going into this thinking that you will learn everything from the workshops, you're not going to do well.
Take the time during the week to study and ask questions on the message boards! The weekly classes on Saturdays is where all of the "light-blub" moments will happen. Alira is an awesome instructor!

Overall it was a good experience. I would have preferred to have the weekend sessions be in person rather than video conference, but I understand that it's not feasible if there aren't many other students in my city. The instructor was great, patient, and very knowledgeable. He made sure none of us were left behind and that by the end of each session, we all had the projected completed and functioning. If you are a person who would prefer a structured learning environment over solely self learning, this is a great option.

Web Fundamentals Bootcamp
It was affordable, good price, and I liked that I was able to do everything online during the week and still have that interaction on Saturday with the instructor and classmates. I felt like I gained more connections with my classmates and teacher as well. The slack channel helped also if we had any questions.

Nucamp Review!
I started Nucamp in hopes of pursuing a new career, and they've definitely catapulted me in the right direction. The small class setting and efforts to give you support through out the week when your working on your own was a great help. Even just seeing other students questions answered a lot of mine. 10/10 would nucamp again.

Great Bootcamp

The 4-week Web Development Fundamentals course was a great way for me to test the waters before diving in and committing to the advanced (and longer) course. It would've been great to have had in-person workshops, but the online sessions were really helpful. The weekly workshop exercises were the best part of the course and applying the whole learning by doing approach. It would've been nice to have had more mini-practice exercises throughout the week. I'm more than likely moving on to the Full Stack Web & Mobile Web Development course. Overall, it's a great crash course, and I'm definitely recommending it to my friends and family. Recommended.

I chose Nucamp because I saw the price and the schedule that I liked. It was very hard work. even though it was a bootcamp , the work load was overwhelming. with the help of the instructor, we were able to complete the course. We still have some work to do on our own, but I am somewhat satisfied with the experience.

Review
I chose Nucamp because of my ability to continue to work full-time while still attending in face classes that reinforced my learning. There were many opportunities to practice skills and you could spend more time reviewing concepts by having the material accessible to you all the time. The classes are very affordable and my teacher is wonderful.

Great option!
I really like Nucamp because I could still work my fulltime job and have class. I did not have to quit my job, spend a ton of money to start learning to be a developer. I think this is a great option for anyone who wants a change a carrier!

Great way to get introduced to web development.
Had a great time learning. Not to fast paced for someone who hasnt attended school in a while, was able to keep up. The instructor was very helpful and answered all our questions.

Awesome Bootcamp!
I selected nucamp based on the course offering, cost, location, and the time it was offered for the in person class (Saturday was perfect because it didn't interfere with my job). The web development bootcamp was awesome!

I like the convenience, and organized, understandable presentation of the content. The videos/slides were constructed very effectively. I learned a lot in a relatively compressed amount of time. The assignments also challenged just enough to make it interesting but not too overwhelming. The workshops were helpful sometimes but not entirely necessary for me personally (I did learn some nice tidbits from the instructor that weren't in the material, especially insight into the industry and what actually working a job with these concepts actually entails). Overall, would recommend so far. Gonna do the full stack course next.

Great Starting Point...
The 4 week Web Fundementals course was great. I've been learning with free online only courses for a while, only to get stuck and have nowhere to go. Nucamp was different because you had both the instructor and fellow students to help and give feedback if you ran into a problem. I'm extremely glad I took it and looking forward to the full-stack program.

The instructor was a working "coder". He was very knowledgeable, patient and gave off the impression that he wanted to be there and not that he had to be there. Also when I would run into issues he would help me work through them and not always giving me the answers up front.

Highly recommended
Great value for money and the course is well paced which kept me stimulated and motivated to complete the work. It can be challenging working full time and completing the weekly work but the work load is small enough to maintain a job, but you will still be able to learn a lot.
