've had the incredible opportunity to study at Melsoft Academy for the past 4 months as a software engineering student, and I must say, it has been a game-changer for me. The mentors at Melsoft are truly exceptional - always available, patient, and determined to ensure that every student fully comprehends the coursework. As someone who had no prior coding experience, their supportive approach made me feel right at home in the world of programming.
Minor drawbacks, ccasionally, the schedule can feel a bit intense, but the mentors are flexible and accommodating when you need extra time. Despite this, the overall experience and knowledge gained far outweigh these slight shortcomings. I am grateful for the guidance and support I've received at Melsoft Academy, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to kickstart their journey in software engineering. -

PROS:✅Weekly check-ins with your cohort helps keep you accountable, refresh morale and assist peers with challenges you've overcome before them.✅Fortnightly "family meetings" is a platform to share notices, celebrate milestones and express grievances in a constructive manner.✅Occasional webinars to expand knowledge and network✅Exposure to industry events✅Guaranteed internship on completion of boot camp✅Flexible payment options
CONS:⏹️If you're anywhere other than Johannesburg, you miss out on the onsite weekly gatherings on Wednesdays⏹️Although the course is suitable for everyone; even those with no coding experience, due to the intense nature of the bootcamp, to maximise on the experience and minimise feeling overwhelmed and out of place, I would suggest some self-study before commencing this bootcamp
Overall this bootcamp is an excellent way to prepare you for real-world virtual work environments.
If you need someone to hold your hand or simply grasp things better from physical or mostly real time instruction then it might not be most suitable for you but definitely still worth considering.
I attended another bootcamp in 2020 and made more progress in 3 months than I did in 3 years.
This bootcamp has definately been the best decision I made for my career in 2023 and therefore I highly recommend. 👍🏻👌🏻🙌🏻

You can learn how to code from youtube ,why would you want to join a bootcamp like melsoft academy ?Youtube has lots of tutorials taught by industry experts with years of experience but they wont help you get hired and thats where Larreth comes in ,from what i've observed He uses his vast connection netowrk that he acquired from when he was still freelancing to plug his students .and that what separates melsoft from other bootcamps ,the internship is 100% guaranteed .
The curriculum is on point ,the intership is yours if want it , but I wasnt too impressed with the mentors except for 1 .I didnt think they were nice ,they were not responsive .But they are very competent programmers but they need to accomodate weirdos like me ,Larreth Jimu of Melsoft Academy

Before I joined Melsoft Academy's software engineering program, I found learning to code to be a boring task, almost gave up on my dream of becoming a software engineer. However, stumbling upon Melsoft Academy on TikTok changed everything. Their instructors possess a rare talent for simplifying complex coding concepts, making learning very easy and enjoyable I must say lol. I am deeply excited about coding now, plus I also have a burgeoning portfolio filled with projects that showcase my skills. I extend a heartfelt thank you to Melsoft Academy's instructors and my boot camp mates for their invaluable contributions in transforming my journey into one of excitement and achievements. -

Wow, where do I even begin? My time at Melsoft has been absolutely fantastic! As I'm nearing the end of my bootcamp, I can't help but reflect on how amazing it's been. The bootcamp provided hands-on courses where we worked on real projects, giving us a taste of what it's like in the real world. The courses are intense and move quickly, so they require commitment and focus. Luckily, I was really dedicated to learning and knew exactly what I wanted.
The course instructors are incredibly experienced and have a knack for explaining complex concepts in a way that even beginners, like myself, can understand. Plus, the mentors and other students are always there to lend a hand when needed. One of the best things about the bootcamp is the abundance of opportunities it offers. When they say "internship guaranteed," they really mean it. Every student gets their money's worth, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to break into the tech industry.
I also want to mention how supportive and dedicated the founders are. They're truly committed to reducing youth unemployment in South Africa, and it's inspiring to see their passion for making a difference.

Best Educational Decision I've Made
First and foremost, some of my peers who haven't graduated have already gotten jobs through MA. Their job guarantee is the best part. I love the community and the way Melsofters push each other to do better and become more competent every single day. I can't believe I wanted to spend 3 years pursuing a job when Melsoft does it in 6 months. Highly recommend. -

Melsoft Academy makes learning to code fun by giving you constant challenges while being surrounded by great people who you can also partner with and overcome tasks with. Even though they could take a break and let someone else take over the reins a little I love how the brains behind the Academy are still so actively involved and personally making sure everything coming out of the academy is top tier and of the best quality. The biggest favor you could do for yourself as an aspiring coder or even a seasoned one is sign up for the Melsoft Academy Coding bootcamp and I promise its the best investment you could make for yourself. -

A good bootcamp which balances technical skills and soft skills
My experience has been pleasant, as the classes are small, they all instilled alot of group work traits in me which are important for the workplace. Melsoft not only teaches technical skills but also instill soft skills which include working with people, ability to present, meeting deadlines. So its a good balance should you look into going in
