Grand Canyon University offers 16-week Cybersecurity and Java Programming bootcamps both online and on-campus in Phoenix, Arizona. Grand Canyon University offers a values-based curriculum based on a Christian worldview that places an emphasis on ethical practice and principals. All bootcamp students will learn soft skills, such as professional communications and ethics, and receive career services. Upon bootcamp completion, students will receive an Undergraduate Certificate of Completion.
Java Programming bootcamp students will learn Java object-oriented techniques, problem solving techniques in the programming language, Java-driven software development, application creation using software engineering methods, and writing new code/ refactoring existing code. Java Programming bootcamp students will learn to build applications and will become familiar with compilers, scripting languages, frameworks, build tools, APIs, version controlled software, and licensing constraints. Java Programming bootcamp students will also learn machine architecture and exception handling and Java I/O and collection framework. The curriculum covers Java, SQL, Spring, React, HTML/CSS, REST, and Cloud (AWS).
Cybersecurity bootcamp students will learn to identify vulnerabilities, perform risk assessments, implement security measures and best practices, prepare to respond to unauthorized access and cyberwarfare damages, and develop a disaster recovery plan. Bootcamp students will also learn advanced techniques in exploitation, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, policy management, security program design, and cyber defense activities. The curriculum covers networking, ethical hacking, digital forensics, security, and analysis.
Grand Canyon University bootcamps are open to all applicants over 16 years of age. No statement of faith or religious affiliation is required of prospective bootcamp students, and no prior coding knowledge is required.
