Before joining Epicode, I found myself at a crossroads, contemplating a career change from customer service to coding. Despite my inherent pessimism, I recognized the potential of this transition and made an informed decision to embark on this journey. Epicode stood out as the ideal choice, and it certainly lived up to my expectations.
Epicode provided a rigorous, fast-paced, and extensive curriculum that covered all aspects, from theoretical foundations to hands-on practice. The emphasis on practical application was particularly valuable, as we engaged in numerous coding exercises and projects. Additionally, the bootcamp fostered teamwork by randomly assigning us to teams every four weeks to complete collaborative projects.
Joining Epicode has been one of the most important decisions of my adult life, undeniably one of the best. From the very beginning, it felt like a dream. The teachers were not only comprehensive in their instructions but also incredibly patient, ensuring that every student grasped the concepts effectively. Moreover, the teaching assistants were available throughout the day, always ready to assist us.
Epicode went above and beyond by arranging guest lectures and providing extensive training sessions to prepare us for the job market. These sessions included invaluable advice on building portfolios, interview preparations, CV reviews, and more. Even after graduation, Epicode continued to support us with a dedicated career specialist who met with us weekly to provide guidance and encouragement for our successful transition into the industry.
I am thrilled to share that shortly after graduating, I landed a job as a developer. This achievement would not have been possible without Epicode's guidance and support. I am immensely grateful for the knowledge and overall assistance they provided me during my time in the bootcamp. Epicode helped me turn my passion into a reality, even when it seemed impossible to grasp before.
For potential applicants considering Epicode, it is indeed a wonderful bootcamp where you will learn a lot. The skills and knowledge acquired often surpass the threshold expected of a junior full-stack developer in the job market. However, it is crucial to have made the firm decision to pursue this career path and fully commit yourself. The journey may be challenging, but with the right dedication, Epicode will undoubtedly deliver remarkable results. I personally made the conscious decision to leave my previous job to fully devote myself to this endeavor, and I am elated to see it pay off. -

I recently completed the Fullstack Developer course at Epicode, and it has been an empowering and fulfilling journey for my career in coding. Throughout the bootcamp, I encountered various challenges that pushed me to grow and excel in my skills. I also had the opportunity to connect with amazing individuals who made the experience even more enjoyable.
Epicode's curriculum is designed to be rigorous and fast-paced, requiring a significant level of commitment and dedication. It's important to note that the program demands a strong work ethic and perseverance to keep up with the accelerated pace.
One of the standout aspects of Epicode was the exceptional support provided by the instructors and teaching assistants. Their commitment to students' success was evident through their willingness to go the extra mile in offering guidance and sharing their wealth of experiential wisdom. Whenever I faced challenges or needed clarification, they were readily available to assist, ensuring that no student was left behind.
In addition to the academic rigor, the bootcamp provided a platform to connect with fellow students who shared a passion for coding. I had the opportunity to meet wonderful individuals who were equally dedicated to their learning journey. Collaborating with them on various projects not only enhanced my technical skills but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and teamwork.
While Epicode may not have an extensive employer partnership network, they compensate for this by offering comprehensive coaching and resume refinement. The focus is on empowering students to become competent, professional fullstack developers with a portfolio of impressive projects.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Epicode Fullstack Developer course. It is a challenging but immensely rewarding experience for individuals looking to enhance their coding skills and pursue a career in the field. The supportive and knowledgeable instructors, along with the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals, create an environment conducive to growth and success. Epicode has truly been a catalyst in my coding journey, and I am grateful for the valuable skills and connections I gained during my time with them.

(TL;DR: If you are not the kind of person who can self study religiously and figure everything out from free resources, this is a very good option.)
Before starting Epicode's Full-stack Web Dev course, I had a little coding experience. It was very helpful, just because it let me focus on high concepts, while some of our classmates were struggling with syntax. It is true that you can take the course with no prior coding knowledge. HOWEVER, it will require a lot of commitment on top of the already rigorous curriculum to keep up.
The pace of the course is very fast. I did it while working a full time job and slept on a few hours a night for half a year. They actually recommend not doing so, but since I had financial problems and previous coding experience they made an exception for me. The teachers really want you to succeed as do the TAs. You could, in theory, learn everything on your own, but I highly doubt it could be done in such a short amount of time and with the large amount of experiential wisdom the teachers regularly dropped on us, to help us avoid common pitfalls. Both the front end and backend courses were surprisingly thorough, considering the pace, and my final project is something I am genuinely proud of.
If you are a one issue voter and the thing you care about is the employer partnerships, then you might want to pass on Epicode (unless you are in Italy). However, what they lack in network they more than make up for with coaching, resume refinement, and job board leads. The thing that will get you a job is the fact that if you can hang on and keep up to the end, you will be a competent, professional full-stack developer with a portfolio of several impressive projects.
One of the other things that I realized after having joined was although it lacks the depth of comp sci background that you would get in a university, in the program you code so much that you have much more actual coding time than an average computer science graduate!
I strongly recommend this course.

I know it's a bit of a cliche to call these sorts of things life changing, but it really was.
I graduated from University in a Computing related field, but never used my degree. I had studied the totally wrong thing, and ended up stuck in Hospitality related jobs. There was one thing that I enjoyed about my course- the module we had dedicated to programming.
I mulled over taking a programming course for years, but life always got in the way. Eventually, after getting made redundant due to the pandemic and a run of bad mental health, I decided to take the plunge and just go for it.
Mornings were usually spent in a lecture with the afternoons dedicated to practical homework. It was tough, and some topics took longer to master than others but it was always rewording doing my own research and finding solutions to things. Teachers and teaching assistants were always just a message away if we required any assistance.
I met some wonderful people during my time on the course.
I got really lucky and landed a job offer before I graduated, so I haven't had as much experience with the job assistance side of things, but I still receive messages from them from time to time to ask how I'm getting on :)
I went from working as a hospitality manager to a software developer, if I can do if anyone can! -

Attending Epicode was a decision that transformed my career in ways I never imagined. This full stack bootcamp exceeded my expectations with its comprehensive curriculum, outstanding instructors, and unparalleled support.
The carefully curated curriculum left no gaps in my knowledge, covering everything from front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to back-end frameworks and databases. The hands-on projects reinforced my understanding and prepared me for real-world scenarios.
The instructors were exceptional, possessing both expertise and a passion for teaching. They patiently explained complex concepts and provided valuable industry insights. Their mentorship and availability for guidance were instrumental in boosting my skills and confidence.
What truly made this bootcamp outstanding was the collaborative learning environment. Working on group projects allowed us to develop teamwork and effective communication skills while fostering a supportive community among participants.
The bootcamp also prioritized career readiness. The staff offered invaluable assistance with resume building, and job search strategies. I cannot overstate the transformative impact of Epicode. Again awesome experience, I knew little or nothing about programming before attending. It felt like a university, very knowledgeable teachers who ready to help you every step of the way till and after graduation . The environment felt like a community because everyone was willing to help as soon as you reached out. My course colleagues were great, we looked out for one and another and made sure that anyone that was struggling was brought up to pace, like our own internal team, I really loved that.
Very intense six months that changed my life forever, you get the knowledge, technically, tools e.t.c that will shape you to become a professional developer/engineer. The quality of the teaching is top-notch and the curriculum is great. I was really skeptic at first when I saw the reviews online, how could be that after six months someone who had little or knowledge about programming could be a professional software developer without having a computer science degree? But here I'm, been a software developer for over 10 months now. I want to give a big shout out to Epicode Management, staffs and teachers, I will do it all over again 😊 -

I joined the full-time data science batch from February to September 2022. Overall, it has been a great and rewarding experience that led me to a job offer 3 months after graduation!!!
Teachers were dedicated, patient, supportive and did their best for us to understand the material. We also had daily QA sessions where you shamelessly ask any question to clear any doubts you might have.
The thing I really loved was the good balance between theory and practice. A typical day is divided into lectures in the morning, lunch break, coding, coding, coding and QA session to close the day. So be ready to roll up your sleeves and work hard :) It was not uncommon to work sometimes over the weekend to complete assignments or projects.
Career coaching is also something positive I'll like to mention. We got trained on how to write a good CV and cover letter, how to prepare for interviews, and even had interview simulations to put it into practice. During the job hunting period, you get assigned someone from the career coaching team to help you with any questions you might have.
I highly recommend Epicode to anyone with the desire and determination to make it into the tech world !!! -

I was a little sceptical at first but I had totally changed my mind after finishing the course. You might be a good self learner with uncountable resources on the internet but the experience is incomparable. Working in a team with coding is totally different from working alone. You also get invaluable support after graduate in networking and job seeking. -

Let me start by telling you that you get the best out of this bootcamp if you put a lot of effort into it. The 6 months of learning will be crazily intense, they will be throwing at you a lot of theory and expect you to put it into code, and at the end of every module you will need to build software using the tools you have studied about during the previous weeks. The teachers and the people in charge of helping you landing the job afterwards are all young and energetic, and they take their job really seriously. Fellow students and alumni are gonna be an actual resource for you during the course. You will make great progresses, personally I felt like there was some backlog because there really is a lot of stuff to learn, but if you are willing to spend a couple evenings or a weekend to catch up, or ask your teachers for some help understanding something, they will provide you with everything you need to master the topic. The rest is up to you: put in the time and you will see how quickly you'll be able to use complex and sought after libraries such as Sci-Kit Learn, Pytorch, Flask, Streamlit. -

Stay hungry, stay foolish - Steve JobsI strongly believe in this and which made me change my career path by joining strive school (now EPICODE Global).Embedded software engineer turned Frontend Developer.
It all started around August last year, my husband introduced me to Strive school, As he knew that I was interested in learning new technologies, especially Frontend development.
What I really liked about Strive School is its level of dedication to making its students learn and understand the concepts of web development. I really liked the course structure as it literally replicates any full-time job with the support of highly smart teachers, teaching assistants, and tutors whose only goal is to make their students succeed.
On the other hand, what I am personally proud of myself is the level of dedication that I could put in during those last 5-6 months to learn and understand the technology. I have seen myself not leaving my spot at home for hours until I find the solution to the problem at hand. I always believe that if we find something which we love doing it might seem like work to others but for us, it feels like a play. And this is what exactly I noticed happening to me.
I am very proud of what I have accomplished by joining Strive School (now EPICODE Global) to learn "Front-end Web development".And now I can say myself as a Frontend developer
Kudos to Strive School (now EPICODE Global) team. I hope that you guys will keep up the same level of quality and commitment for the next months and years to come. -

I did the Fullstack web development. From start to end my experience was amazing. Best teachers I ever had. Each one is specialized in one area and they know well what they’re doing. I can say I never been so focused in class as I did in Strive, the way the day is split with live lectures in the morning and homework in the afternoon makes it very engaging. I 100% recommend for who is starting. I just suggest you practice a bit of javascript, html and css before, not much, just have some notions.
Apart from coding, the job hunting assistance from specialized coachs was crucial to me finding a job. Now I can say I’m very happy in my new beginning with this new job as a fullstack developer. -

After an internship and a little freelance internship i was struggling to find a company that could teach me
the state of art technology for web development.
By luck I found strive school, the company that act as the missing piece in the chain of an
IT industry that hardly need a vital supply of competent web developers.
Personally the experience done here is one of the most valuable asset of my resume, and i gonna explain why:
- The time and dedication spent here are all dedicated to your skill development,
where in a company , ( when they train, and the company-tutor is competent ) is still a half effort and not always full of
transferable skills.
- The curriculum, the structure and career section are tailored for being a fit for Europe market ,
it's a the best way for reach remote positions in international teams.
- if you have some little experienced like me but not that much for cover real lead roles,
you gonna have here the opportunity to start gaining Project-Management, Mentoring and leadership skills in a
not-critical context, thing that is very rare to experience in a conventional context.
- this curriculum also lends itself adequately for a freelance activity in the case it's your desired goal
- Thanks to the strive's growing network of companies and reputation,
you are likely to be hired in shorter times, with less interview steps and in respectable and compliant companies.
More than career service the real asset long term gonna be your connections done here,
expanding your opportunity-awareness and opportunity-hitting surface areas.
- Thanks to the Income Share Agreement model,
Strive gonna be always interested in making you successful and rightfully payed,
your success is strive's income and reputation.
Is to say also, that the terms are a "fair bet" and
cover all the scenarios needed for qualify them as Positive agreements, -

As I'm writing this review I just finished my first day working as a developer. Got hired 1 month after finishing Strive School.
I'm probably gonna write the most cliché review ever lol, but if you're looking for a way to kickstart your career in programming I couldn't think of a better choice.
First of all, besides the results, I just loved the experience. Cool atmosphere in the class, super personable staff: teachers, TAs, career coaches, Diego, everyone.
Then the strong suits:
Teachers were great, just plain and simple very good at it, excellent at explaining to everyone and taking their time to guide you through any question you may have.
They have a thoroughly organized career team that helps you after the course, that's not a given at all in other camps.
The course itself is super well structured and I believe if you wanna learn Full Stack like I did, 6 months has gotta be the minimum, I personally wouldn't choose a shorter camp.
The technologies you learn are the absolute most in-demand and they're chosen according to what's expanding right now.
As I said, it's pretty straight forward. Just 100% recommended top to bottom.
I'm happy and grateful I found it and did it. -

My background education is in Environmental Engineering. What does that have to do with coding? Right, not much... apart from the fact that it has always been a passion for me.
When covid happened I was forced to quit my job in the Renewable Energy industry in Australia and to come closer to home (Portugal), family and friends. I started looking for a new job but companies weren't hiring much... This was when I decided to give my hidden passion a real shot. I discovered Strive School, enrolled in the Fullstack Course in April 2021 and in December 2021 received my first offer to work as a Software Engineer at an amazing company.
Strive's courses are not easy but that's what's great about them. You are pushing your own capacities every day, which also makes you a smarter person every day.
The Fullstack course is very well structured, starting with Javascript basics but quickly moving to more advanced and complex concepts. However the daily challenges/homeworks and build weeks help you keep up with the pace and practice everything over and over again while combining previously learnt concepts with new ones. The instructors are amazing and I even wondered when they slept! They seem to be always there for you: after hours, weekends, holidays, you name it...
I haven't started my professional journey yet (less than 2 weeks to go!) but I feel ready to join a company environment. This is mainly due to the fact that the course teaches you how to collaborate with others. Many of the projects are undertaken in pairs or groups which obviously is a huge part of the whole software developing stuff.
My last but not least mention goes to the job hunting support team. After you graduate from the course you never feel abandoned and the training and job hunting secrets provided by the school are really helpful!
In conclusion, whether you never wrote a line of code, are trying to change your career or have some experience with software development Strive School is for you!

Coding as they say it’s hard, yes of course it’s really hard, trying to get your head around the logic which happens like magic. You feel so depressed feeling like you are not good enough, attended different coding lectures online, watched hundreds of YouTube videos and still you don’t even know how to code a simple Todo App without watching another YouTube video.
I have been there, I know how it feels. Please DON’T GIVE UP. Apart from your zeal to learn how to code, at the end you have your financial freedom which is what everybody really wants.
In all the decisions I have made in life joining Strive Schools was one of the best. I enrolled for the Frontend Development Course, before then I have struggled with understanding JavaScript which is the core language of the web, Strive School made it so easy, breaking down every concept step by step. With JavaScript you can easily understand every other library/tools/frameworks. I have come to realize that being a teacher is a gift, it’s not a skill you can acquire or learn, you really need to have it in you to impact other people because you can’t give what you don’t have. My teachers (@Frontend development team) were awesome I don’t want to mention all your names here but just know you are awesome because you changed my life.
The curriculum is well structured, there’s always a follow up by a Teacher Assistant after each homework or class exercise. They strive to make you understand, no one is left behind and above all you need to put in the work to achieve a good result. Someone can force a horse to the river but can’t force it to drink water. So you really need to know what you want and be committed to achieving it. If learning how to code is your problem then Strive Schools is the solution. I promise you.
I have come across different teachers, courses and coding bootcamps but I can assure you, You Will Never Regret Joining Strive Schools, NEVER EVER EVER EVER REGRET I promise you that.
I landed a software developer job just few weeks after completing the frontend development course with a lot of effort and hard work put in from my side. If you put in the work you will achieve a good result.
Thank you
Emmanuel

Let's start from the end: I started my Strive school experience one year ago and in some days I'll start with my first job as web developer.
I had heard about Strive School when it was still "under the radar" and it seemed a great idea and I wanted to do it already back then. One year later, during the pandemic, I could do the one-month free course they offered. There I made a decision to do a complete u-turn to my life, bringing back my passion for coding and go back to study.
Let's put it straight: Strive School is hard and challenging but just keep in mind to "trust the process" as they know exactly what is needed in order to succeed as web developer. You need to put efforts, will to learn, to try and also to fail but in the end it will be highly rewarding. Teachers and assistants are there to help, the lessons are engaging and working with other peers allows you to understand how to work in a team and it's not just a metter of web technologies: every skill (both hard and soft) a web developer should have is analyzed and taught in the best way. And it's something which lasts way after the course ends, as the course success coordinator and the teachers are always there to make sure you land a job in the industry.
Also, there's a great community where you can rely on peers and colleagues for questions and learning, there are interesting talks with people from the web dev and hr world and even gym class!

The course is really intense but totally worth it. It's a full immersion that takes you from zero to hero.
The program is well designed and there is a nice balance between theory and practice. You'll basically spend all your day coding. Teachers and tutors are amazing and very helpful, even outside academic hours, and they provide you also with the soft skill required to find a job (interview prep, CV, networking class, linkedin, and so on).
One of the most amazing things is the support the school gives after the course: you will never feel like you've been left alone.
I'm not gonna lie: it's hard. But commitment pays, and Strive is up to the challenge!
I started the course in november 2020, ended in june 2021 and I'll start my first tech job in october 2021! -

I think Strive School has one of the best roadmaps to teach you software development. First of all, they give you the key points about the technology and you'll immediately practice it to see whether or not you're missing something. IF you're missing something, you'll have a chance to review missing parts with expert teaching assistants. ELSE IF you understand the topics but you want to improve your skills, teachers and teaching assistants always track what kind of developer you are and they give you great ideas on which direction you should improve your skills. ELSE you finished the course successfully and you're looking for new opportunities, Strive will be always with you.
I live in Turkey and I was trying to find a new job in Europe. It wasn't an easy situation for me to solve. Thanks to the Student Success Coordinator. She was always with me even I finished the course and I have a great job now. Thanks Strive School for being a great family for me. You helped me a lot to create a new life for myself. -

I landed in strive school with little to nothing coding experience. It’s been challenging, I won’t lie to you, but the challenge you find in in there is the thing that makes you grow. You will laugh, you will cry, but with if you’re the kind of person that likes challenges you’ll find the perfect place for you! Live lectures & practice are perfectly balanced, so you’ll learn actually how to program, instead of just focusing on theory & tutorials. You’ll have super skilled & funny tutors that’ll follow you in any trouble you may find along the road! Strive literally changed my life, allowing me a career switch in my 30s -before strive I was a bartender! On top of that the job hunting part of the boootcamp is led by a superwoman which will prepare you to find a job and crush job interviews! Totally worth it! -

intense but worth the strive

The six months in strive were intense, to say the least.
I came to them with previous experience and solid basics but also after 10 years of not touching anything web development related.
In six months I did learn new technologies and philosophies of development.
the hard skills were taught efficiently and thoroughly.
but in all honesty, the real value to me was in the soft skills that we learned.
they taught us how to work in a team, how to network on socials, how to write better CV's and how to present ourselves for an interview. skills that I was never taught before and that, being an introvert, I desperately needed.
this course is hard but rewarding, and it's continually evolving with the market, I've seen some of the changes myself during the course.
They also do not abandon you after graduation, Strive helps you to seek and catch opportunities, and leaves you with a community of alumni ready to help each other be it on technical or human problems. -

When they said you don’t need any previous knowledge or background to join they were totally right.
I started with no experience, looking for a switch in careers, after coming from a background in hospitality I am proud to say that only 2 months after I graduated from Strive I started working as a Full Stack Developer.
Teachers and the whole Strive team are amazing at what they do, very experienced and knowledgeable, super patient and always there for you even if you have 1000 questions in one day and on top of it all they are still there for you even after you find a job! Lectures are very clear and to the point, applications that you will build in 6 months are going to give a great foundation to become a very decent developer by the end of the course. They offer great support while you are looking for a job and they give a lot of referrals to other companies about students (that could also potentially help you kick off your career in tech).
They often hold guest lectures from people that work in amazing companies that give students advices and I find it very nice that they are trying to give you a clear idea of who you can also become.
Also the community and the peers in my batch gave this wonderful experience an even bigger and meaningful impact on me that I will forever cherish.
If you want to change careers, meet great and wonderful people, work hard and learn a lot then this school is the best investment and experience that you can do for yourself. I wish I was exaggerating, but they truly are amazing :) -

I joined Strive with a bachelor's degree in computer science and I believe it taught me a lot more than the time I was in University. I'm not saying University is pointless, it both has its pros and cons but you feel a lot more committed and connected with everyone in Strive. University teaches you a broad range of technology, from AI to maths logic to mobile applications, when trying to squeeze so much into a few years you'll only be able to scratch the surface of all of the sectors, good if you have no idea which field to go into. If you know what field you want to get into then Strive will do much better, Strive dives deep into one field and gives you what is required by the job specification out there.
It's not gonna be an easy journey but it won't be worth it if it's easy. Strive requires commitment and discipline, if you're passionate enough about what you want to learn then it won't be a problem, Monday to Friday 9 am-5 pm of continuous learning and developing new skills, if you can't see yourself doing that then don't bother. If you do join, you will definitely be impressed with how far you've come at the end of it.
Pros- Tutors available all the time
- Great and up to date contents
- Amazing and experienced tutors
- Spectacular job hunt assistance
- Great interview assistance
- Flexibility in learning out of scope technologies (ie: if the majority of students want to learn more about something else, it will be added to the schedule)
- Extra studies if needed
Cons- Recorded lectures can be a bit boring but only happens about twice a month
- Can't think of anything else, all in all, an amazing journey
PS: Trust the process, you might feel left behind at some point but Strive is always there for you. Find me on LinkedIn if you have any questions, I'm always up for a chat 😊 https://www.linkedin.com/in/hungjinchong/ -

I have never, ever, learned so much in any period of time in all of my life (I hold two master's degrees, co-founded a business, travelled the world, and yes I still stand by my statement).
I came from a "no coding background", and showed up with merely a passion and determination having reached a giant roadblock in life. I knew I needed to add new skill sets in order to get to where I wanted (1. better pay 2. larger company 3. unfinite possible growth).
Throughout the course, I was impressed by the building block approach of the circuclium: the deconstruction and reconstruction of projects, the combination of solo/pair/team working, the focus on current tech trends while still laying down foundational understanding.
I enjoyed the breakdown of lectures, teacher hours, one on one, and the variety of homework. The concept of benchmarks (week-long team projects, held after every 4 weeks) is brilliant and really showcases all you have learned.
It was hard for me, I needed to put in extra hours with teachers, tutors, peers, myself. There were many days I questioned If I had what it took, and I struggled. A lot. But that is part of it too. It is a full-time intensive course, and you aren't there to just be good already, you are there to struggle and strive and evaluate.
I left feeling proud, confident and (perhaps most important to employability) I felt current.
I started my interview process prior to showcasing my final project (Demo Day). And I am proud to say, in less than a month later I am employed at a job and company which makes me feel like I have skipped 5 years of my life.
Advice: you have to put in the time and you have to ask for help. Build a community with your peers. -
