I joined Devslopes Academy because I wanted to improve my skills and learn new technologies, and honestly, it has been an amazing experience. The mentorship here is outstanding. The instructors are not only knowledgeable but also incredibly patient. They don’t just give you the answers they guide you to think critically, which has been crucial for my growth. Every session I attend teaches me something new, and I can feel myself improving in problem-solving and critical thinking. The mentors have been a huge help on this journey, and I truly appreciate their support.The curriculum is well-structured and easy to follow, with clear and engaging lessons. What I love most is how often they update the content, so I can always come back and learn from new materials. And if I ever get stuck, there are multiple live sessions happening throughout the day where I can ask questions and get the help I need.But what really stands out to me is the community. I've seen people constantly helping each other, not competing, and that makes all the difference. 
Everyone here is respectful, supportive, and genuinely wants to see each other succeed. I joined Devslopes because I really liked what the academy said they stood for which was the success of their students! They made it very clear that they were not going to coddle any student and make them feel good if doing so would be detrimental to their success which is a attitude that is hard to find in todays world and I really value that! 
Currently I am a apprentice aircraft mechanic, while I do enjoy many aspects of this job it was never my asperation, I took it because I need to get my mechanic license to move forward in my goals (it's complicated). With a young wife (I am 20 and she is 19) and a newborn I new I needed to be able to generate some extra income on the side, but I also wanted to have flexibility, be around my family and invest myself in a skill set that I could take with me in life and would benefit me in many other careers as well. This is why I was so excited when I stumbled across Devslopes!
I love the mentors here, the are always willing to help, but they push you to learn, asking leading questions instead of just giving the answers! They are also not afraid to be honest with you and tell you that what you are doing will not get you success even if they know that you will not like it and will be upset with them. I have experienced mentors, who on seeing a opportunity to better help the students achieve success, would pay for it out of their own pocket in while waiting for approval from the rest of the organization, this kind of dedication to the success of the students is rarely found and extremely valuable!
The curriculum is great, there are a few spots that are a little hard for me to get through but that is less a result of poor curriculum and more the result that it doesn't always match my learning style. Overall though it is really well done and constantly being improved!
It is so nice being apart of a community that really supports it's self! I really love it!
Overall I would give it 6 stars if I could, Devslopes has its flaws but so does anything in this world, anyone trying to tell you otherwise is a Liar! It is totally worth it!

I joined Devslopes back in September of 2023. At the time I was a full time welder/fabricator. I was tired with my job, my body hurt all the time. I would come home from working 50 hours a week and do nothing but sleep. 
As of January 2024, I am full time learning how to be a web dev. I was having a hard time learning for a while to be honest, but once I started attending the mentor sessions regularly I've found my learning to be ramping up and I have been able to move passed problems I've had in the past!   
Eric, Jon (no longer with devslopes), and Tyler are all wonderful teachers. Each of them brings there unique way of teaching and problem solving to the table. All of the mentors have been super knowledgeable on the topics taught in the curriculum and have been great at giving helpful nudges toward the answer and not just flat out giving you a solution. That won't help you learn!  
I have enjoyed the curriculum so far! It has been easy to follow and I've been able to build some pretty cool things! 
Devslopes community really is there to let you know that you aren't alone, you aren't the only one having the feelings your having. And we help each other push through because we know that together, we can do this! 

I joined Devslopes to transition from my career as a Certified Nurse Assistant to a more tech-focused field, and it’s been an incredible journey. The go-at-your-own-pace curriculum was perfect for me, allowing me to continue working while learning new skills. I’m able to balance my job with my education, which has been key to making this career change possible.The mentors are always available and eager to help, making the learning process much easier. Whenever I have questions or need guidance, they’re there to offer support and clear explanations on a 1 on 1 level, even during busy classes. Many will even take extra time after class if they can. That is one of the most important aspects for me.Another one of the great aspects of this program is the freelance and business operations courses, which allowed me to start making money while I was still learning. This has given me real-world experience and has helped me gain confidence, even before landing my "dream job."The online community is another huge plus. It's highly engaging and supportive. Its Another opportunity for students to learn and grow from each other. Devslopes offers hackathons as well that are both fun and lucrative, allowing me to learn while earning. The Devslopes Web Academy offers a flexible and supportive learning environment where instructors genuinely care about the students. While some instructors are exceptionally attentive, there are occasional gaps in communication. The academy does strive to provide a comprehensive learning experience, though the job placement focus could be improved. I joined Devslopes at the end of the last year and my experience has been very gratificant so far. It is not just a courser with bounch of videos. There are multiples live classes every day with different topics like: programing, career coaching, freelance, etc. 
We just did a tournament about building website solutions and CRM for business wich give a realistic view of the freelance world. And the best part? Is that the winner team gets 500 dollars cash per each person.
They definetly go next to you in every step of your journey to became a software engineer.

I started off making simple apps for myself like video music galleries and games, but where I learned the most was my first professional business client. That is due to the fact that the business requirements of the app exceeded the scope of what I had learned at Devslopes so far,  but thanks to the mentors and experienced members of the Devslopes community I was able to not only meet the clients requirements but far exceed it.
Thanks to the help of the Devslopes mentors and community I made $2000 working on that project part time. Not only that, he also recommended me to his client and I am in negotiations to build him something as well. It won’t take long to make a return on the Investment I made into Devslopes and I am not even finished yet!

I had been learnng to code much before I joined Devslopes Academy and the main reason I decided to join Devslopes was the possibility of getting direct help from the coding instructors. Watching coding tutorials on your own can be very convenient and useful, but the main problem arises when you get stuck and don't know who to ask. This is where Devslopes Academy comes in. The instructors are professionals with years of industry experience who go out of their way to help you. And it's not just the instructors, it's a full community of instructors, mentors, motivators and current and past students who are there to help you learn and grow!
 
 Since a lot of the community members have professional software development experience, they are able to pass on their valuable knowledge and insights when you try to build something either for yourself or your client. For example, by the time I finished HTML, CSS and Javascript part of the course, I was able to build a site for my current company using those technologies, giving a fresh new look to the online presence of the company. Now that I am almost reaching the end of the course, I plan to build a full stack Employee Management app that will streamline the process of managing employee data. I am sure that the knowledge gained at Devslopes, together with a few solid software projects will help me progress towards my dream career in tech!

I have a degree in Comp Sci, have taken programing courses and even tried the self-taught thing like Codecademy but none of those things that I have tried has given me the true confidence to know that I can do this as a career more than DevSlopes. These mentors/instructors have the patience to give you personal training and tip to guide you along your programing journey and not just to work for somebody but also to be a freelancer as well. I highly recommend  DevSlopes. It is worth the investment.

I have done a coding boot camp, watched many coding tutorials, and used many different platforms to learn to code, and I can say that Devslopes has certainly been the strongest and most sensible. I initially hesitated, even telling the sales rep, "I have no intention of signing up," but that quickly changed. It is incredibly flexible and based on your needs. Their personal growth and mental health set Devslopes apart from all platforms. While I have not attended an empowerment call in a while because I have a personal therapist, these calls are a chance to make yourself vulnerable while holding yourself accountable to get your work done. As someone who is presently a public school teacher, I can say that the mindset coaching has helped me shift my attitude about my current job and has helped me start to enjoy it again. This leads me to talk about the instructors and how they go to great lengths to help you out. You can send them messages (and if they are available), and they will answer. I have been able to make myself vulnerable to one of the instructors about my struggles with ADHD, and they have been immensely supportive and mindful of that because they struggled with it as well.

There are many different projects for you to complete along the way, but one that will really push you to your limits is the SaaS landing page project. It's focus is mainly HTML and CSS, but you can add some JavaScript. I have used the layout from this project for my personal portfolio. I have also used my skills to build a website for a family business and a website for a friend to gain experience and put this item on my portfolio and Upwork. And while I have not landed any freelance work outside of my circle of friends and family, I do remain hopeful that that day is coming soon!

Bootcamps only work if you have literally nothing else going on in your life and only rush the process of learning code in depth. The mentors push you to dig deeper, and the student community is immensely supportive. And while you absolutely COULD make money while learning how to code, all of it is up to you. That is the challenge but also the beauty of Devslopes.

     I'm currently a student at Devslopes and I'm not yet at the halfway point in the curriculum. The reason that I came to Devslopes is that I started in the computer field 45 years ago but the one area I haven’t learned yet is web design so, here I am.     Having done pretty much everything else that you can do in the computer field you probably realize that I’ve been to a number of schools and/or boot camps over the years. I would definitely rate Devslopes as the best school I’ve ever attended. From the CEO himself, down to the instructors, mentors and everyone else that I've come in contact with, in my opinion, they all pretty much have one thing in common (I wouldn’t be surprised if it was actually a job requirement). They all truly care about me learning and succeeding. This is quite evident in the training / mentorship that they offer beyond the coding, their tone of voice when they speak to you, as well as their methodology in the way that they answer our questions.

I joined Devslopes after attending another boot camp and realizing that I definitely needed a bit more schooling to achieve my goals. Since joining, I feel like the gaps in knowledge that I had are slowly being filled in and things are starting to make much more sense to me. I don’t regret attending the first boot camp, I just feel like a lot of knowledge was thrown at me and I had no clue how to fit the puzzle pieces together. This program is self-paced letting me move at my own speed and I can ask questions to the instructors and other students when I feel stuck. This is a double-edged sword because on one hand I can really marinate in the material until I feel like I have a good understanding of it, but on the other hand this line of thinking does keep pushing back my self-proclaimed done by date! Which is steadily approaching!! 

There have been times when I got super stressed thinking maybe coding was just one of those things that I wasn’t meant to do. Like you know, when Mike Wazowski found out he couldn’t be a scarer and realized his talents were better served elsewhere. Other aspects of life piled on, the no job, my physical and mental health nose diving, certain people being… people. I’m really grateful that a few mentors reached out to me, these were different times mind you, and they let me rant out my frustrations a bit. It really helped just having someone to talk to at the time. Mr. Jon has this way of helping you go over code and then you realize that you knew way more than you thought you did. Lol, again me thinking I just might not be cut out for this. Then I started answering questions for other students and seeing that I really did have it down, lol that got me even more hyped. Then speaking with Ms. Shawn and actually talking out things that I was stressed about and realizing that I have to focus on me and what I can do and let everything else just kinda be what it is. I really don’t think they have to go that far when they speak with us, but I hope they know how important it was for me at that time to have their input and guidance and to continue to have it while in this program. In Mr. Andrei’s classes as well, I can ask questions and he explains it in a way that I’m better able to comprehend and then he asks more of those exploratory questions to make sure I understood what we just did. Which is really good when you are someone who thinks they got it, but turns into the sim who walks into a room and forgot what they were there to do. All this to say, big props to the Instructors/Mentors.

I have gotten to work on some pretty cool projects/assignments over this course. One project has us making a battleship console game using our terminal and that really helped me see how much work goes into the smallest bits of what we will hopefully be working on in the future. There is also a project that teaches us how to fetch data from apis and I had an absolute blast making a Pokemon “Quote” Generator. I thought the concept I chose was incredibly funny for a good while. I still laugh about it. We even have assignments making articles for Medium so we can really flesh out if we’ve learned a concept and show it to others. That’s a pretty cool way to get our names out there as well. I’m a little over halfway done with the curriculum so I’m excited to see what other cool stuff is in store. Keep an eye on my Medium articles, no way I’ll not brag about what I’ve learned.

At this point, I’ve been here for about a year and a few months. I have not done any freelance work just yet. I’m still in the “making sure I got it” mindset. I have attended a few of the freelance lectures and they are very informative on how to get the work. Again, I want to make sure I can do the work before I start hopping into projects and getting clients to choose me. I in no way want to spread myself too thin again thinking I can take on everything and everyone. 

If you’ve read this far, you were at least a little bit interested in what I had to say about the program. This is not a bad place to learn and the community is epic, plenty of rubber ducks to go around!

I have come to anticipate and value the thorough code reviews and insightful feedback provided during our meetings, which occur regularly throughout the week. These interactions have been pivotal in my growth as a coder.


Among the projects I have undertaken, my capstone project stands out as the most challenging and rewarding endeavor. It presented an opportunity to showcase my ability to adapt and learn new technologies—a crucial skill in the dynamic landscape of the tech industry. Opting for Vue.js, Tailwind CSS, and Supabase, none of which were covered in the Devslopes curriculum, allowed me to demonstrate my proficiency in independent learning and problem-solving.


Thanks to the mentorship and skills acquired through Devslopes, I have successfully secured numerous freelance opportunities. The guidance provided by mentors has not only bolstered my technical capabilities but has also played a pivotal role in landing these projects. 

The reason I joined Devslopes is because I am looking for a career change. I am currently a restaurant District Manager.  The thing that got me most interested is the earn while you learn and while I haven't jumped into to much I can see that part of the program is fantastic. The curriculum has been really good. I've tried some free/ low cost coding learning options and once things get a little more complicated you start feel really lost with little guidance. At Devslopes someone always gets back to you and they have many live mentoring classes throughout the day and week and even on the weekends to help among other resources to support you. 

I’m a current paying student at Devslopes. At the time of writing this, I’ve already paid over $9,300 with $3,000 more to go. But I’ve been kicked out of their Discord with no notice, no support, and no way to communicate.

Before blocking me on Facebook, they started aggressively posting more content—just to bury my comments. Then came the deletions. Now I can’t comment at all. They’ve cut off every avenue for me to tell my story.

I never even used their course materials because of financial hardships. But when I explained my situation, their response was cold and cruel—basically telling me “Too bad, you signed the contract. You were too gullible.”

This wasn't an honest enrollment. The sales rep (Nathan) rushed me into a contract during a 15-minute call, emphasizing benefits without disclosing the full financial risks. I was told I wouldn’t have to pay until I started earning money, but that was misleading at best—predatory at worst.

After I signed, it was too late. No refunds. No cancellations. Any Discord posts asking about them mysteriously disappear. Other members pile on, saying it’s “my fault” for not learning the “easy” material. No empathy. No accountability.

It honestly feels like some of the people in their community are just there to shut down dissent and protect the company’s image.

Now I’m stuck paying off a loan for a course I couldn’t even use. No response to emails. No access to Discord. No ability to comment on Facebook. No justice.

I’m posting this because if they did this to me, they can do it to others. Maybe they already have.

People deserve to know what they’re walking into. And I deserve to have my voice heard.

I joined Devslopes to expand my skills and connect with peers, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. I have been at this academy for almost a year, I have gotten new and updated curriculum each time they have been updated by the creators. I have enjoyed every minute of it my time here. The mentors dont just spoon feed it to you like other places. They teach us how to find and support our own answers. But more importantly they are teaching you real world situations and how to work like an employee. While I like to say nothing in life that is easy to obtain is worth getting, but when they make a great job this easy and this fun to get. I'll gladly take it.

I'm very much a person that likes to teach himself things, and have often found that in the past I would get stuck, and really not be able to find any solution for what I was trying to fix, and this specific course has been a great help for me to me eliminate that worry when it came to coding, and allowed me to really consistently stick to learning and progressing almost every day.

I do think generally speaking that the curriculum is very tailored to people that like to teach themselves things, and if you are not one then there are plenty of ways that will motivate you to adapt that trait. There's a daily call labeled "Empowerment Call" in which everyone is personally addressed to talk about their current goals and their hardships, and you can collect advice from the instructor as well as the other students that show up before the instructor goes over the lesson of the day. I've been able to pick up several tips and tricks on how to progress myself within the learning environment over a very short period of time, but it is important to show up as often as you can to be able to do so. You are constantly encouraged to ask questions and put yourself out there, and the community will almost always have a valuable answer that will help you progress, and if you still find yourself stumped, you can hop on one of the Instructor Calls, and ask for help on your specific problem.

I've not really tapped enough into the freelancing aspect to give a proper judgment but I can tell that it definitely has become a priority for the leadership team to start training students on how to get job experience and build their portfolio even if they are rather new to the course, and the instructors responsible for the calls generally make themselves available for questions outside of their calls.

All things considered this has been a pretty good experience for me thus far, and I am hopeful that I'm going to be able to reap the benefits from this course sooner than later.

Devslopes offer the best coding experience ever! They are very honest when it comes to goals and expectations, their curriculum is easy to do and understand and every week there is always something going on. They also offer a few programs especially for those without laptops and I got a free laptop from them completely for free and for you to keep so absolutely no excuses everyday is a coding day at devslopes! I highly suggest this program if you haven't yet tried it!

This learning experience has been absolutely mind-blowing, and I’ve barely scratched the surface in just two months. The instructors? Oh man, they're on a whole other level, like the cool professors you wish you had in college. They don’t just teach you to code; they show you how to thrive in the wild world of freelancing too. It’s like unlocking a whole new realm of possibilities, you know? I thought I knew a thing or two about coding before, but this program? It’s like hitting fast-forward on my learning journey. And the best part? It’s not just about theory; it’s hands-on, practical stuff that you can actually use out there in the real world. Seriously, if you’re even remotely interested in coding or freelancing, this is the place to be. It’s not just about gaining skills; it’s about gaining the confidence to go out there and make things happen. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

 11 months ago, I enrolled here and have grown so much. They have awesome teachers and 1-on-1 calls every single day. If you are new, be ready to introduce yourself to the class.😄 It is soo freaking awesome because anytime I get stuck on anything, they are there to help, even if the issue is not in their curriculum. This community is magnificent. They have empowerment, Q&A, learning time, Freelance, and career coaching calls. Things are pretty organized and well structured in their discord server. Also love the fact that their teachers take time to look at graded assignments. Even when requirements have been met, they send feedback on how you can better the development. 🤜🤛 Highly recommend them if you are wanting to become a developer. Plus they have hack-a-thons sooo BOOooyaaa! 💯 

When I enrolled at Devslopes, I already had quite a bit of background knowledge in web development, computer science, and IT. So much so that I recall being quite hesitant, as I wasn't sure if their curriculum would be able to give me much that I wasn't already familiar with. However this boot camp advertised itself as being focused on freelancing. Since my goal was to be able to earn money through programming, it didn't matter if I learned any technical skills or not, if they could teach me how to monitize the ones I already had. 

Thankfully I was dead wrong, and I have actually learned a lot through the course despite being fairly early on in it. The course material is very comprehensive and well made.
Here are just a few things that I thought it did very well. 

1. It blends many different mediums  of information together in it's modules. They kept a good balance of passive learning through video content, active learning through projects and exercises, and semi-active learning through reading assignments.    
2. It focuses on practical knowledge, that have application in the real world web development. 
3. Instructions were very clear, I never had to struggle to understand what a project was asking me to do.
4.Instruction was highly detailed and did a good job at accounting for the nuance necessary for teaching a subject such as web development.
5. Instruction was neither overly technical, nor overly simplified, making for an experience that was just as engaging as it was informative. 
6. All but the first few exercises  were challenging enough to keep my brain churning for their entire duration.
7. They structure the courses so new projects continuously build off of old ones, which really helps establish the big picture as you follow your work from beginning stages as it gradually approaches commercially viable material, in addition to giving more insight on the big picture, it also helps to facilitate a deeper connection between the craft and the craftsmen. 

In addition to all of these things, Ive found the educators to be very knowledgeable, as well as friendly, easily approachable, and have been very helpful every time I had a question or needed assistance with anything pertaining to the course. 
I would recommend this course to anyone who is serious about getting into the field of web development, and can handle a bit of self-guided learning.
While having some background knowledge always makes things easier, it is not necissary at all, as long as you are willing to put in the work. 
This has been my experience with Devslopes in a nutshell. If you are undecided about taking this course, than I hope this review has helped you make that decision.

Ever since I joined Devslopes the way I see and use technology in my day to day life has changed as I am continually learning to create and improve software that I make myself. The Devslopes Community has many members who currently have software developer roles and they are happy to  provide valuable insight into the best technologies and practices to  help you create the software you are trying to build either for yourself or for business clients.The mentors are where the value of being in Devslopes really becomes noticeable. Communicating technical needs,  limitations and recommendations to my business clients as well as executing those needs is very difficult since I don’t have many years of experience in the field. So not only do the mentors help me pass my Devslopes assignments, they also mentor me on how I can create the technologies that will help my clients meet their business needs. I started off making simple apps for myself like video music galleries and games, but where I learned the most was my first professional business client. That is due to the fact that the business requirements of the app exceeded the scope of what I had learned at Devslopes so far,  but thanks to the mentors and experienced members of the Devslopes community I was able to not only meet the clients requirements but far exceed it.Thanks to the help of the Devslopes mentors and community I made $2000 working on that project part time. Not only that, he also recommended me to his client and I am in negotiations to build him something as well. It won’t take long to make a return on the Investment I made into Devslopes and I am not even finished yet!

Hello I am Nathan, an upcoming software engineer who recommends Devslopes  to all who are likeminded. This community has already proven with initiative and unanimous efforts among staff that their ability to be flexible,  and cater to diverse schedules is unmatched amongst all other "programs" and "bootcamps". Essentially allowing men and women attempting to change careers a helping hand that isn't only strong but considerate. 

I joined Devslopes in  2022 looking to make a career transition as a software engineer. The goal was to get a job where I can work remotely while making a decent income. Their freelance program sold me on the idea that you can "earn while you learn" and was the determining factor on why i chose them. I'm not a natural salesman so when I started freelancing my communication skills werent where they needed to be to attract clients and land projects. However after following the guidance within the program for a few months I became more fluent when I pitched my skills and eventually landed a few paid gigs. The mentors in the program were able to help me with my specific challenges and hangups and gave me personalized advice and suggestions when I felt stuck and needed a boost. The most important thing Devslopes taught me ironically enough wasnt Javascript or backend development  because I'm pretty sure I'll need to upskill as the next new technology comes along. Deveslopes helped me most by nurturing a problem solving mindset, the idea that you have to choose "the right tool for the job" and the ability to verbally communicate my ideas effectively. For example when I landed my first freelance project I thought i had bitten off more than I can chew. However after bringing my project (custom website buildout) to one of the meetings I learned about a library and other extremely valuable resources  that was pivotal in helping me complete the project and giving the client 5 star service.
Fast forward a few months later and I've made thousands freelancing, recently switched to doing it fulltime and have plans to start my own agency in the near future. You do have to be accountable when you join and put in effort to learn on a consistent basis but once you get that down thats another life skill you have that you can take with you regardless of the industry that you work in.

I 1st heard about this company on TikTok and decide to reach out on their Web page to schedule a meeting with one of the representatives that works there. So the day of the call the representative I was talking to 
Rushed me off the phone. Before he  Rushed me off the phone,I believe he stated that he would give me a call back but he never did. Ever since then I have rescheduled the call Because they refuse to call me. I have had to reschedule the call 2 Times and still no one is calling me.I'm not sure what kind of business this is but it's disappointing to know that someone is reaching out to further their career or at least make a change in their career and People are not following up on me when I reschedule a call..

Most importantly there are two facts that will not be presented to you until it is too late:
1) you can "sample" the academy to determine if its a good fit for free.
2) if you sign up and finance, the contract is specifically worded to juice you for all you're good for. It states in the contract that you can't escape through bankruptcy. You cannot get a full refund at any point. You cannot get any refund after 10 days. The amount you are refunded starts at like 80% on day of signing, and reduces until the 10 days pass. 

The sales team can be shady and potentially even lie to you. They absolutely don't care about anything but getting the sale. They will say whatever it takes to make you want to join up. They will amp things up and tell you things that are just absolutely not a reflection of the truth and most likely never were. "There are live classes at all times of the day." False. The live sessions are held at whenever is convenient to the instructor and that is subject to change with little time for the changes to be communicated. (The day one of the instructors was going to be gone for 2 weeks is when we were notified that instructor would be gone for two weeks) There is one course that is only held at 10:30PM CST and no other time of day for example. 

Next, the coursework is lackluster. You are referred to other free resources because they do it better. Its old enough material to be considered outdated, and the way the guy does it is so cringey. You can say rad and skate too much. The material is not incorrect, and it is not explained poorly. If there was less of a constant tie in with painfully cringey 90s skating culture, first 10 second intros reminiscent of youtube "hey guys its _ and today...", and it were updated to still be relevant, then I could say it was good. Only 1 project per "module" is graded. Modules are basically chapters of learning. They contain around a dozen or so exercises. The exercises are not graded unless you specifically ask for them to be graded in the community discord. The projects are graded at high speed on loom.com. 

The live sessions are a mixed bag. They depend heavily on the quality of the instructor. One instructor see's coding as cool, really enjoys it, and tries to help you grow. One instructor seems to be showing up as its a job requirement. I think he is interested in helping, but I don't think he is really qualified for what he is doing. The recruiters told me the live sessions were intended to be Q&A format, happened regularly throughout all times of day (he even said every hour... that was a lie). The Q and A approach leaves much to be desired. Sometimes, there is a question asked that the instructor can expand upon and turn into a really informative session. Sometimes the instructor waits 20 minutes to start, nobody shows up still, and then the instructor has no idea what to "teach". Its very clear that there is no plan or organization for some instructors classes. Some instructors have a plan of what will be happening for the next month. I would say of the 6 regular instructors 2 are very disorganized and appear to be put into a position to teach without enough preparation and varying levels of professionalism, and the other 4 are usually very professional.

If the only reason you join is for the "Freelance support", then I would suggest waiting. I don't think the value is there right now, but I do think the company is working on building it. They are trying to do more to help students develop confidence and portfolios. Its not enough yet, but I think it will be and has potential. 
If the reason you join is because you want access to a community of resources, then I do think the value is there. If you have a question, then it will get answered. It will not get answered as fast as you want or how you want, but it will be answered in a way that makes you learn more and improve your coding ability. 

I am rating 3/5 as I believe the marketing suggests a significantly greater program than it is, and the blatant lies from the agent who sold me on the program. As a whole, its not a bad program. 

random gripes: the communication entirely being on discord is garbage tier. the class schedule in the student handbook not being updated, and updated versions not being distributed is garbage tier. jake the brogrammer is also garbage tier. his whole schtick as a brogrammer is just cringey. we don't want to be "brogrammers". we aren't 19 year olds living with our parents hoping to get into a frat. we are people who want to develop the skills to be working professionals and his persona is insulting to be considered something we might want to aspire to. The recurring marketing emails and not having any ACTUALLY relevant communication outside of discord is garbage tier. 

I debated on joining devslopes because I've already been to school for computer science and software engineering, but I'm glad I did because it brings a different experience than going to school. I learned a bunch of theory in my classes, but I don't remember coding much. In devslopes, you are constantly working on projects! One thing that I enjoy a lot is the online learning hours with the mentors. You join their scheduled zoom calls where you can ask the questions you're stuck on, and they're always helpful. There are a lot of students to connect with as well in case you would like to build your network

This is simply a money grab.... They will tell you that you have a 10 day cancellation period when your signing the contract. Thats even IN the contract.. But they ghost you for your first 10 days when trying to talk to any employee to cancel!! (the coding mentors will just tell you that not my job, talk to someone else ) 

So then on your 11th day you'll get hit with a response saying "Sorry, your past your cancelation period !!"   

If you even MENTION this being illegal or unethical, they KICK YOU OUT of the program, AND YOU STILL NEED TO PAY BACK THE LOAN.

So now you don't get ANY thing you were sold on , AND your still stuck paying over 12K for something you'll never get access too :( 

Be carefull of the sales staff!!! They are really smooth talkers, and will say ANYTHING to convince you that this is a great opportunity for you.  

Devslopes is your final stop. Look no further! As a current student I have learned more in the past three months at Devslopes than the last 3 years studying on my own! The professors are amazing, they have classes scheduled literally all throughout the day, and their Discord community is exactly what you want on Discord. They thoroughly talked through the program before I enrolled, they gave me clear payments answers(also gave me a few options,) and their Empowerment specialist(Shawn) is a literal gift from the universe. I was in a funk when I first enrolled and she was able to help me work through my issues and jump right back into classes. All in all my experience with devslopes is wonderful, I considered many other bootcamps but after a Live student tour, I was sold.. Do yourself a favor and give them a call! Maybe I'll see you in a class! 

Do not waste your money and time with this scam of a bootcamp. They pressure you on the phone when you have your interview to sign up and quickly coerce you into taking out a loan, which is red flag number one. Then everything they advertise with their super supportive “mentorship” and student run Discord chat is not helpful at all. No one can answer your questions on Discord and the mentorship’s availability is limited and do not provide good or helpful advice. You’re basically left to your own devices for a rigorous program. It’s mostly just a bunch of videos with information you could find online. Don’t get in debt with them. It’s not worth it and feels a little like a scam to me.
