The Designlab community of mentors gives students timely feedback on work and Skype with students regularly to help them improve. Mentors include top industry professionals from companies like Twitter, Airbnb, Dropbox, and more. Courses are self-paced, which means students can complete the readings/projects whenever their schedules permit. Designlab is ideal for a developer, product manager, entrepreneur, marketer, aspiring designer, or anyone working on web/mobile products.
To apply for the UX Academy, applicants need to fill out an online application, and schedule a call with a Designlab representative. Applicants should have a love of good design, a grounding in design fundamentals, and commitment and resilience.
Graduates of the UX Academy work with a career coach to get help with their portfolios, job applications, and interview technique. Designlab offers a 6-month tuition-reimbursement guarantee for graduates of the UX Academy who are job hunting.

Supportive and immersive learning experience!
I found it quite overwhelming to study during a global pandemic and doing research as to which program I should be in was very overwhelming. I went through tedious research and comparing curriculums to comparing price ranges and it's quite intimidating to get to a course that you've no idea of, let alone spend money for it. I finally decided to shoot an email to Designlab, and actually thought they won't respond but they did! They even gave me a zoom call. The call was from the UK and I'm from southeast Asia, so timezones were in the extremes. Up to this day, I am very grateful for that call from the admissions office before joining the program because at that time someone in my family had Covid and I really appreciate that gesture. I reached out in October 2020 and I finally joined the course in January 2021. I'm halfway through and so excited to step into the new path that I'll have after this. I would also like to stress that the mentor program that they have really helped my confidence in learning and affirmed me in so many ways. Great program for career shifts
DesignLab Foundations helped me jumpstart a career shift from Sales into Design. Doing this bootcamp part-time was a great choice - I never felt rushed or overwhelmed with the time commitment, it was very reasonable. The program included lots of cool projects and taught everything I needed to know for each project. The mentorship program is also worth noting - my mentor was amazing, always very supportive and wanting to help out. Foundations: Quick and to the point.
The purpose of the foundations course is to get you ready for the full UX bootcamp. Even though I studied at fashion school and have somewhat of an experience with regards to colour theory, visuals, etc, I was amazingly surprised by how much more I had to learn. The content on the platform was super easy to understand and the mentor sessions were amazing. I signed up for the course after conducting a market survey and not finding something that seemed professional enough in my country.
The course presents a comprehensive and interesting curriculum. The exercises they have built are very professional and help to understand the material in a clear way.

Designlab is an absolutely wonderful site to learn UI/UX. Not only is the site very user-friendly but you can learn a lot through the short courses. If you are coming into Design 101 blind to UX Design, you're in luck. They provide a quick tutorial for the software of your choosing prior to the course starting. I chose Figma which has proven to be useful in finishing my projects on time. Each project submission is carefully reviewed by an assigned mentor who is experienced in UX/UI Design. I found that my design skills helped in some areas, and I learned a lot about whole new areas, like focus on the user, and making their experience number one, rather than just making it look good. I love that you're paired with a mentor right away and they give you insider knowledge and feedback. After the Foundations course, I did go ahead and apply for the UX Academy, and I got in! A Great Place to Start If You Are Unsure Of A Career Change
When I was doing research for UI/UX, I stumbled upon Designlab's UX Site. After reviewing their courses I felt over whelmed due to my lack of knowledge in design. I have background in sales and was ill prepared if I went straight in to the UX Academy course. I applied for the Design 101 course and then was offered a chance to try the Beta UX Academy Foundations. I definitely recommend UX Academy Foundations If you want to try out UI/UX and if you know absolutely nothing about design.
