Coyotiv offers a 9-week, online full stack software engineering bootcamp. Bootcamp students should expect to spend 2-4 hours per day on lectures, and 20 to 40 hours a week studying and completing assignments. Students have the option to take a free, 4-week pre-course before beginning the bootcamp.  The bootcamp curriculum covers Node.js, Vue, MongoDB, React, MySQL, and object-oriented programming with JavaScript, lean practices, Kanban, and prototyping with Balsamiq. Coyotiv teaches the fundamentals of Agile and Lean development and will get hands-on project management experience with their own project. Coyotiv students learn the principles and tools of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), such as Docker and Heroku.  Students also learn SOLID principles, UML diagrams, PlantUML applications, MongoDB, Mongoose ODM, deployment with Google Cloud Run, and Flexbox and the Grid. Coyotiv students will publish their own libraries to NPM, MongoDB aggregation, event-driven architecture, GUI architectures, and design patterns.

No prior knowledge of software engineering is required. Potential students are asked to submit an application and then schedule a phone call. The phone call is not an interview, but is required in order to proceed with the application process.

Coyotiv offers training in career-building, interviewing, career options in tech, and public speaking. Students receive  four, one-on-one mentorship sessions. Bootcamp graduates receive lifetime access to the Coyotiv community.

It is no exaggeration to say that Coyotiv changed the course of my life. The school provided me with the necessary foundation to develop skills as a software engineer in a broad aspect, but with a central focus on fundamentals. This is exactly what I had not found elsewhere: solid fundamentals. Before joining Coyotiv I had tried: to be self-taught with online classes, do another online bootcamp focused on the job market and react, a school especially for women. These previous experiences were very frustrating, I felt that although I could understand some even complex concepts, I could not finish any exercise, my knowledge was dispersed and fragmented and most instructors had no didactics. What Coyotiv offers, in addition to instructors with a lot of industry experience, is didactics. It is a pedagogical model that prepares you to be autonomous, regardless of language or technology.
Now that I recently started my first job as a software engineer, I can understand that the school prepares you to really act in this role. This is because we are taught how to code, but also about all the other necessary attributes: from how to prepare your curriculum, how to think about your career, interview strategies, how to be a good speaker, how to be part of a team, how to contribute to the open source community...
Coyotiv means to me today to be part of a community based on collaboration and sharing. The course is super intense. In the 13 weeks I was a part of it (9 weeks course plus 4 preparatory weeks) I breathed Coyotiv. The medium is the most difficult because the content becomes more difficult and it takes time to absorb the enormous amount of information. But during all the time we have all the support of the instructors, who are always present.
It is worth mentioning that here I also discovered how fun and enjoyable code can be, breaking with pre-judgments that I had about the profession.
By using a one by one methodology, the course adapts to the point where you are and your own interests.
Even though I was part of the first class, I got my first job before I finished the course. So, if one of the concerns is employability, the school really prepares us well for the market.
The 4 weeks before the course of preparation are equally intense, and VERY necessary if you, like me, have no experience in code.
