Quiting my job and joining Wyncode is the best career decision I have made. Everyone thought I was crazy because I had a stable job in a not-so-stable economy, but it is because of Wyncode that I found a better job and a career path I am satisfied with.
Learning to code is not an easy task, and it is not for everyone, but Wyncode's teaching staff were a fantastic resource and were available at all hours during the program. They bring a ton of knowledge and experience and are by your side willing to put in the time with you.
They also provide access to the tech community in South Florida, and put you in front of hiring partners who you wouldn't otherwise have access to. There are always events and networking opportunities available, and they push you to get out there and participate.
Now that I am working as a developer I realize there is still a lot to learn after Wyncode, but they gave me the foundation to move forward learning on my own and enough knowledge to go through an interview and start a career as a junior developer.
For anyone considering Wyncode, you should ask yourself:
1. "Am I willing to work harder than I ever have?"
2. "Am I motivated to learn in class AND on my own time?"
3. "Do I enjoy problem solving?"
If you answered yes to all of these then you should definitely join Wyncode!

I just finished Wyncode’s second cohort, and I am happy to say that the quality of my instructors and the curriculum exceeded my expectations! Ed Toro, the lead instructor, is one of the most knowledgeable people in the industry. I am thankful to have been supported by such a knowledgeable and helpful group of Teaching Assistants, especially Frank. I graduated with a business degree from Florida International University with no coding experience. I recognized the need, however, for the skills taught by Wyncode in the Miami market and took the leap of faith with an open mind. I spent countless hours of hard work in the LAB, and the Wyncode staff was with me every step of the way. Upon graduation, I secured a full time position as a junior developer at an exciting, forward thinking company, and I am forever grateful to Wyncode for making it possible.

Miami tech is for real. Start-ups and established companies have an appetite for new developers in South Florida and Wyncode is the best way to get involved.
I am a member of Wyncode's inaugural cohort and the value of my experience has continued to grow beyond the course content.
Here are the ways in which Wyncode has enriched my life and why Wyncode is the best place for anyone with the ambition and ability to achieve greatness:
(1) technical foundation // Wyncode provides a foundation in technical skills for web development. Course content is comprehensive for what is necessary to start a career as a developer. The instructors are proven professionals in their fields and are devoted to providing the necessary attention to each student.
(2) business fundamentals and product development // Writing code is powerful, but is only one aspect of what makes a business prosper. Wyncode supplements their technical instruction with teaching business fundamentals, particularly in the scope of rapid product cycles that are relevent in fast-growing companies. "Lean startup" and "agile product management" are given just attention to ensure that Wyncode graduates can relate their work in the context of a business strategy. These elements are important to understand as a job candidate and offer a way to gain an edge when entering the tech work force.
(3) relationships in the tech community // Wyncode has a powerful network of technology professionals who are influential, inspirational, and impactful. Students have privileged access to members of that network, which is a meaningful feature of the experience that is beyond the scope of a curriculum and cannot be replicated by an online course.
(4) post-graduate coaching and support // Experience and benefits provided by Wyncode does not end after the course is complete. Wyncode's leadership team, instructors, and alumni collectively ensure that all of its members get the coaching and support they need to fluorish.

I initially joined expecting a fast-paced course to sharpen my skills in user experience design, but it turned out to be so much more than that.
Over the three-month period, I significantly improved my design abilities, deepened my understanding of accessibility, and developed a sharper eye for detail. I also enhanced my communication skills, especially when presenting and explaining ideas, and gained more confidence in public speaking. Most importantly, I became part of a vibrant community of innovators, explorers, and out-of-the-box thinkers.
The instructors were fantastic—engaged, attentive, and genuinely invested in our success. They created a safe and supportive learning environment, always encouraging us while maintaining high standards. The course structure was dynamic, with a great mix of lectures, group projects, hands-on assignments, and presentations. They were quick to sense when someone was having a tough day and responded with empathy and support.
The careers team was equally impressive. From the early stages of the programme, they offered valuable guidance on job applications, interview preparation, and networking. A standout moment for me was the industry project, which brought everything together and gave us the opportunity to work with established industry partners—it truly felt like a celebration of everything we’d learned.
The campus team also deserves a mention. They were always welcoming and supportive—happy to be testers for homework projects or simply offering a warm “hello” in the morning.
I’ve grown not only as a professional but also as a person. This experience has been truly transformative.

Completing the software engineering bootcamp was one of the most intense and rewarding experiences of my life. The program was fast-paced and challenging, but it pushed me to grow quickly both technically and professionally. I came in with minimal coding experience and left feeling confident in full-stack development. The instructors were knowledgeable and supportive, and the peer collaboration mimicked real-world team dynamics. It wasn’t easy, but it was absolutely worth it — I landed my first developer job within a few months of graduating. I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to break into the tech industry and do it in person if you can! -

The BrainStation Product Management course gave me a complete toolkit for approaching product development with confidence. The content was well-structured and covered everything from defining a problem statement to creating an MVP and preparing a go-to-market strategy. What made the course stand out, though, was the incredible teaching team. Scott and Ivan went above and beyond to ensure we truly understood each concept. Their feedback on our projects was thorough and actionable, and they brought a lot of energy and enthusiasm to each session.
What I particularly liked about the course was the focus on practical application. We didn’t just learn theories; we applied them immediately through hands-on projects. I feel much more prepared to pitch and build a product after completing this course. I’d highly recommend BrainStation’s Product Management course to anyone looking to level up their PM skills. -

I had a great experience at the BrainStation Data Science Bootcamp. The courses were detailed, relevant, and highly hands-on. Fast-paced, Organized and Diverse
Great boot camp, you learn a lot for the short time it lasts. Instructors are very cool, always interacting with students and helping out with their projects. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to up their skills in coding and web dev but notices that is also a very challenging BootCamp and requires some time aside to learn and develop these skills. -

My experience at BrainStation Miami’s Digital Marketing course was exceptional. I had a great experience with the data analysis course at BrainStation. The instructors were incredible, providing clear and insightful guidance throughout the program. That said, the course did feel a bit rushed, especially considering the volume of material presented. We didn’t finish reviewing all the content until the final class before our presentations, which left little time for deeper understanding of some topics. However, I understand that this is a bootcamp, and much of the work is expected to be done outside of class time. Overall, it was a valuable experience, and I’m excited to apply the skills I’ve learned! -

The course content feels very rushed in the sense that they are just trying to cram everything in. As they also have several cohorts at the same time quality of the education is worse as the educators are not able to stop and understand questions at times. The WORST part though is the grading in our cohort we had chatted after the bootcamp and two people did the same thing but one person gets great marks and the other gets feedback not to do this. Grading seemed to be very subjective if you missed requirements depending on the marker you could still get good marks. The Job Assistance was very pushy and I think some people just dropped out because they didn't build rapport and was only focused on results. Educators were really smart and nice. If you are looking for a bootcamp if the price is right for you then yeah that works but would take a look at other options if you don't want to have subjective grades. -

Insightful, hands-on learning
I took the Product Management course. It was a hands-on experience, the final project is based on applying the topics reviewed during the season for which we had the real-time guidance of the instructor. He also brought real-life examples of a product lifecycle.
The career panel events are also very insightful with speakers who work on the position and are a opportunity to network. -

Very pleasantly surprised with the high quality of instruction and support from the education team. Had the instructors, Jon, Kayla, Jajuan, Jim, and Logan. They were all awesome along with the brilliant TAs Fateme, Henry and Krystyna. Made this bootcamp well worth it twice over. I have a CS degree from a university and was skeptical of what to expect quality-wise, however I was really impressed and definitely recommend it. The instructors are very knowledgeable and great at conveying the course material.
Very intense pace, expect no life outside of the bootcamp for the duration (if you're taking the 3 month Software Engineering bootcamp).
The careers team could have been better about providing feedback and could have been more organized. But looks like they're doing a much better job post bootcamp so far (fingers crossed). The career team did host PowerHours with people from industry that I found invaluable (The guests provided relevant, fresh, and applicable information).
I highly recommend this Bootcamp. -

It feels surreal that I was able to learn so much in just 12 weeks. That's not to say it was a walk in the park as you will have to put in the effort and basically put your life on hold for the duration. But it was definitely worth it and learned so much. -

The 12-week Cybersecurity BrainStation Online Bootcamp was amazing. Educators were very clear, knowledgeable, patient, and available and great people to spend a very intense 12 weeks with. The program also integrated networking and career enhancing opportunities into our schedule. 1-on-1 coaching is available to us for 6 months after graduating and the learning platform is available for an additional year as well. Overall, it was a great experience. -

This business is a complete scam. They are liars. They give fake promises and charge hefty amounts for zero return. This so-called school is the biggest lie I have ever seen. They are taking tax payer money to, supposedly, “support the tech industry in Canada”. BIG LIE. Don’t fall to them. All the good reviews are fake. There is no career support, absolutely nothing. BrainStation destroyed my life and I went into depression because of them. I lost my job, my savings, and I am losing my life because of them. I am completely devastated because of those scammers. What they are doing is illegal and destructive to people and amounts to criminal activity. I believe that life is karma. You destroyed my life, and I hope this returns to you the same way you caused harm to my family and I. I wish I could give less than one star.

I initially enrolled in BrainStation's Data Analytics course from May to July 2023, hoping to pivot my career from Digital Marketing to Data Analytics. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Despite attending the full course, I left feeling like I had learned almost nothing. I was kindly allowed to retake the certification for free, which I completed in October 2023, but it still hasn’t been beneficial.The coursework itself was very limited. The first time I took the class, we were told we could go home and complete the work on our own. There was no encouragement to stay and work together in a collaborative environment, so most people, including the instructors, just left. This made the entire course feel disengaged and lacking in depth.The few concepts I did learn came from free YouTube tutorials, which went much deeper than what was covered in the course. For the high cost, it felt unproductive and not worth the investment.I invested in the course due to them boasting "more than 90 percent of BrainStation's bootcamp graduates are employed in their fields within 180 days of graduation", but despite my six years of Digital Marketing experience, university degrees, other certifications, and now a Data Analytics project, I haven’t received a single interview from the many applications I've submitted since last summer. It’s been incredibly disheartening, and I deeply regret my decision to enroll.I spoke with a BrainStation representative regarding my disappointment and I was told to reach out to my instructors for further help, but none of them have responded to my emails. Adding to this, I was made aware by one of the students in my class that some people in the course were allowed to take it for free just to fill empty spots, such as instructors from other courses who enrolled as students in the Data Analytics class, and vice versa. As part of this exchange they have to leave a 5 star review which is why you will never get honest feedback like this.I also provided feedback through Synapse (the software with all course materiels etc), and indicated that I was open to further discussions, yet no one from BrainStation reached out to me until I reached out to them first. For the amount of money I’ve spent, I expected far better engagement and support, and a better resolution than "reach out to your instructors / come to our networking invents".Overall, this experience has felt like a significant waste of money, and I no longer believe the course was worth the investment. I hope BrainStation will take these concerns seriously and reconsider offering a refund. -

BrainStation taught me so much about data analytics - the instructors gave us many real world examples from their experience in the field. This really helped accelerate my learning and gave me an idea of how I might be able to leverage these new skills at work. The course focused on three major tools: Excel, SQL, Tableau. These each played a significant role within labs as we sanitized, analyzed and visualized data. I can't wait to take my next class with BrainStation. -

The fast-paced, comprehensive curriculum was both hands-on and focused on essential programming skills through real-world projects . My experience with BrainStation’s UX program was deeply disappointing. The program had a clear double standard: students were expected to maintain 90% attendance, but instructors frequently arrived late or extended their lecture times.
I left the program SO unbelievably burnt out - and I'm someone who worked as an EMT and went to FT university for the past 3 years. And for what? The program’s content was outdated, and students were awarded high grades for following their unimaginative cookie-cutter process. They actively downgrade you for critical thinking or asking questions. Just jump through the hoops and end up with a portfolio that looks exactly like every single other person who has ever gone through Brainstation (just google UX Designer Brainstation or look on LinkedIn).
Much of UX can be done by AI. They did nothing to acknowledge or prepare students to grow in this rapidly changing industry and a position that will likely be obsolete in the next 5 years. They just want to make their money and factory farm as many students through as possible because they inevitably go under.
No one from my cohort has found a job since completing it. Instructors seemed more focused on getting out of class as fast as possible than providing any measure of genuine support or curiosity and investment in student's development or future careers.
Why are they bad teachers? Lectures were often rushed and lacked any meaningful dialogue. Technical issues and missed sessions were common, compounding the frustration. Feedback and support were inconsistent, with unclear grading criteria and frequent denial or poor management of one-on-one session requests. Instructor's were late and unprepared daily, with missed deadlines for capstone feedback and unacknowledged technical problems during presentations. Communication was garbage, and there was a lack of any effective support channels and regular check-ins.
When you ask their bosses to hold them accountable, they don't give a sh** either.
Overall, the program did not live up to its promises. Straight up - THIS IS A SCAM.
The outdated content and lack of job placement success demonstrate Brainstation's failure to deliver on any of its promises. Their utter lack of credibility in the tech sphere reinforces this. Don't muddy your name by getting involved with this joke of a company.
