Overall BrainStation was an incredible experience, all instructors and staff were fantastic, supportive and kind. There was clear direction during the entire process, and the all resources were clearly laid out and readily available. The learning environment was engaging and had ample content, one thing that could have been improved was some parts of the curriculum which could have had more emphasis and focus. -

BrainStations web development bootcamp changed my career trajectory entirely. A year ago I was a disgruntled employee at a major Canadian oil company. Now I’m working as an Account Manager in the heart of San Fran tech. I wouldn’t be where I am without the content I learned at BrainStation. Mind you I never intended to be a web developer, I always wanted to work in a customer facing role in tech. But what the web development bootcamp turned me into is the most technically capable member of the sales team at my company. I’ll admit that BrainStations career assistance had nothing to do with me landing my actual job. But it made me over qualified for my day to day work. I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. -

BrainStation's UX Diploma program is very challenging but one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. You will laugh, cry, lose sleep, celebrate and see a whole new side of yourself as a new and talented designer capable of producing amazing work. The content is rich and taught well by industry professionals and leaders in the field. I highly recommend this program to anybody looking to jump head first into the fast-paced world of tech and UX design. -

I took the Product Management course Nov-Dec 2020. The instructors were great but the institution itself was so disappointing.
The class was way too full, I felt so bad for the instructors. We spent 2 of the classes just listening to other people's projects and the other classes whizzing through the material because the presentations took up so much time. I even submitted feedback that I had a bad experience and would like to talk to someone about it, never heard from anyone.
Now I'm trying to access course materials to review for my current role and I'm barred from accessing it 6 moths after paying thousands of dollars in tuition. The customer service agent has been zero help and evidently a disappointing experience went from bad to even worse somehow.
Save your money and don't bother. -

Overall good experience with a small group of students and 2 instructors to provide a lot of perspective and attention as needed. Interactive class activities were a fun way to learn and get to know people - I suggestion for the future could be a class/group project that we work on only during class through the activities to double enforce the learnings and have multiple portfolio pieces. -

How impressed I was when my underestimation about taking just an online certification vanished away right after the very first 5 minutes at the very first our Zoom video meeting!
Simply saying "cool," how entertaining and exciting the whole course was (it indeed was so worth taking! Special thank you to the best instructors Scott and Haeri, you made it full of fun and joy!)
It is indeed not enough words to express my experience and my personal opinion on the decision I had made. Scott and Haeri are well-educated about the topic. I learned so much from them that we even covered some extra material than planned ( that turned out right after finishing our weekly presentations ). For me, it makes the whole experience unique and wholesome!
So, I would range it as an excellent class for beginners as a good level up even for qualified specialists, who need some boost and improvement. -

- There were a variety of things learned throughout the course, to pick one specifically would do an injustice from the main takeaway. This course has shown me how to create an App that can be flexible to all demographics. Being a true asset to individuals with disabilities and beneficial to all viewpoints.
- Understanding tools like User Research, Personas, Interaction Models, and Accessibility & Multi-Platform Design. Were all beneficial along my journey.
- I believe the principles of Keeping It Simple Stupid, are major factors when designing/relaying your message to your audience.

I had an incredible time at BrainStation. The only thing that could have made it better would be to have been in person with my awesome (and super helpful) classmates but unfortunately Covid kept us from that. The instructors were awesome and very knowledgeable. I have never been great in school or had much of an interest for it but for basically the first time in my life I actually enjoyed it and learned a ton. BrainStation's Web Development Program definitely set me up to succeed! -

Being a student at BrainStation is challenging but totally worth it. There is minimal or no time off during the 12 weeks (for the Diploma program), but in return, you will receive a very supportive team of educators, classmates, and career coaches. So it is designed for people who are serious about their careers and ready to invest the full 12 weeks of their time. BrainStation managed to attract people who will really care about your success and will genuinely support you during your path, which is a rare thing these days. The career success center is another unique addition to the course. The educators will make sure you secure your first job within a reasonable amount of time after graduation. And not just any job, but a job you are happy with. -

I’m a guy who tried to learn how to code for months if not years. After trying sites like udemy and coursera I would quickly lose interest in about 2 minutes into the video making it impossible for me to learn anything. Then here comes Brainstation, a coding boot camp that is affordable that offers the same instructions, if not better than the well established heavy hitters that put you on private student loans. I appreciate Brainstation’s overall value, curriculum, extraordinary instructors to say the least as they launched me on the path to a complete career change. Their support email is also very understanding, fair, and responsive! Brainstation rocks! -

This course was an excellent and comprehensive overview of Digital Marketing. From content strategy to SEO and social media, we learned it all. The instructors were truly exceptional and brought great industry knowledge to each session for better understanding of the course content by giving real word examples. Also the course content is broken down in a really organized way. There was time for live demos and for students to demo things like the google keyword planner on our own. I recommend this course highly to anyone interested in building their knowledge and skill set in the realm of digital marketing. -

Just wrapped up my final class of BrainStation's product management certificate course and would absolutely recommend to anyone who is looking to become a PM, entrepreneur, or who is working closely with lots of cross-functional teams in an organization.
Top Points:- EXCELLENT instructors. My instructors both worked at very large SaaS organizations and have an extensive background in Product Management. This allowed them to provide tons of real world examples of the concepts we were learning, and also help our class understand exactly how certain frameworks and tools are applied in a corporate setting.
- Very Hands On. Everything we learned was applied to assignments for deeper understanding, usually in the same class, as well as after class.
- Great Support. Both of my instructors were available between classes to answer questions and provide perspective on my final project.
- Clear, Quality Content. The modules all built very well on one another and gave a full understanding of the product management lifecycle. The use of real-world examples was also very common which helped with understanding.
Overall, I would give my experience a 9.5/10 and will certainly be going back to BrainStation for more courses in 2021. -

I completed the online product management course over 10 weeks in beginning of 2021. Brainstorm has an amazing learning platform that made it very easy and accessible to take the course online.
The instructors were very engaging and had a lot of professional experience and wisdom working as PMs. The course was interesting, informative and clearly thought out to make it as good of an experience for the group as possible. It shows! The content was put to practice through the final project which helped really apply the tools and methods from the course.
While I was already familiar with some of the concepts having worked in product marketing and program management, it really helped me get a better understand of product management and all the steps needed to bring a product to market.
I feel more confident in my daily job working with PMs and a deeper understanding of product development.
I would recommend Brainstation if you're looking for great online courses and looking to get an introduction to product management. -

I took the 10-week Digital Marketing Course which focused on many aspects of the industry from SEO, SEM, Analytics, Google Ads and all of the most popular social channels. It was a great way for me to refresh on things I already knew but view them under new eyes. It offers a broad stroke to anybody new to the industry or looking to grow confidence in this segment. If you are more analytically inclined look at the more focused course they offer for that. -

Extremely satisfied with the teaching methods and outcome from the 10 week Product Management course at Brainstation. The course instructors were actual professional practitioners of Product Management and that they used a lot of real life examples from the industry or their own personal experience as Product Managers which really helped drive home the point.

The part-time data science course offered by BrainStation was overall a great experience. With only a brief overview of Python, it is recommended that you already have a solid foundation of Python as the course dives into more complex topics later in the course. It's a great overview for understanding data science however this one course on its own will not make you a data scientist. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to improve their Python skills, and start to understanding the world of data science. -

The BrainStation Data Analytics class is the perfect introduction to data analytics. You learn advance formulas in excel, get familiar with MySQL and Tableau. The instructors are experienced in the field, very knowledgeable and friendly. The exercises and project are similar to industry requests and are relatable so as to learn the skills needed if you were working in the field. Practice outside of the class is definitely required. -

I wasn't sure what to expect-even though we were given a syllabus to review. The instructors assigned to this course were coming from excellent areas of business. I loved AI and VR (and I particularly enjoyed the agile learning concept) it took the pressure off of learning and how to apply the material. -

They're very approachable and will speak in a matter that everyone can understand. I took both the Data Analytics & Data Science course and it really opened up my mind to the possibilities of data. I work in finance and I can now push past excel and create much more advanced models along with data visualization and decision-making techniques. -

If you're looking to become a solid data analyst, this is the course for you! I really wanted to get a better understanding about the work of a data analyst, and how to work more closely with data in my day -to-day life, so I took this course to help me understand how to interpret data and present it (either in a professional setting, personal writing and also within the scope of my job)
I learned so much about how to approach real-world problems and examples and create a way to tell a story with data. I learned how to write SQL commands and scripts in our databases, Excel advanced formulas and also how to visualize data on Tableau, all amazing skills to take with you on any career path you choose, I really recommend taking this course!
My cohort was taught by instructors from Hootsuite and Uber who were both really passionate about the topic and help you understand how you would take the knowledge on the job. They really took the time to help us understand the homework and course materials outside of class hours and were approachable whenever we had questions.
They were also really good and helping you understand the career paths you can take as a Data Science, Data Engineering and Data Analyst. You'll learn how to write SQL commands and scripts in our databases and also how to visualise them on Tableau, all amazing skills to take with you on any career path you choose, I really recommend taking this course! -

This was my first time taking a course with BrainStation, and I am glad that I did it. I was always interested in elevating my skills and knowledge in product management to start a career shift from product design to product management. I found this course very useful, and it brought some confidence in me to move towards my career goals and plans.
The course is a well-balanced mixture of concepts and theories, in-class activities, case studies and actual hands-on work for the final project. I learnt new and useful toolkits, which I had the chance to apply to my project. However, the significant value that I got during class was the in-depth feedback I received from the instructor and peers. Due to the pandemic, the course was fully online, but I think it worked well and did not impact the quality. -

I took this course between September and December 2020. It was once per week for 3 hours at a time and then a few hours each week outside of class. To make the most out of the class you really need to spend time outside of class hours building upon your ideas for your final project. The structure of the course was to design the user flow of an app of your choice. Throughout each lesson you were to build upon your final presentation i.e. each class gave you time in break-out sessions to further your tasks. I.e. start with the idea, conduct some research, interview users, sketch some ideas, put them into wireframes and ultimately create a clickable proto-type. Throughout the process you should be conducting user research to get input from the people that would be in your target market such that you can re-iterate over and over. My instructor Karishma was really good at meeting the varying learning needs of all students in the class as some were more advanced than others in the field of UX Design. She provided amazing real world examples to bring lessons to life and was always willing to help both inside class and out.
Not coming from a UX Design background, I found the first few lessons tougher to follow however quickly learned that you should really read through the course material in advance of each lesson and come prepared to class with your final project in mind so that you could progress your app each class during the break-out sessions. Perhaps the only feedback I would give to Brainstation would be to have individuals work on their bespoke app/final project outside of class and use the break-out sessions during class time to teach the general concept of UX Design by building one app together i.e. A transit app for the duration of the course. This would teach students the concepts that they could then use in their own time to build their own app for the final project / future learnings.
I enjoyed my course and meeting everyone in it from all parts of the world!
