Absolutely worth it if you are looking to experience and learn the basics of UI/UX design.
Instead of spending too much time on theory we jumped right on getting practical

I highly recommend Barcelona Code School! No matter which course you are looking to join BCS is the best! The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about teaching their students. I did the full stack course and have since landed a job as a project manager working with our web development team and as a web page designer. BCS helped me transition into a career that I love! I couldn’t be happier with where this course has led me. From the amazing instructors to the atmosphere this place has something to offer everyone! I enjoyed it so much I also completed the Wordpress course, which I equally enjoyed and plan to sign up for more in the future!

I had been learning from various online resources for a few months before joining the bootcamp and if you've been doing the same thing you know it can be hard to find the right course to get up to speed, some courses do too much hand holding so by the end of it you dont really feel like you've learnt anything, some show you too little and give no indication of how you can use what you've learnt to build something which has real world use, I can say after completing the course that Barcelona Code School have struck the perfect balance, the course is interesting, the instructors are engaging, and the projects are cool. If you are thinking of taking the course and have no prior knowledge i would advise you to take the pre course seriously and start studying hard from that point as the course is far from easy, it is however manageable with the right work ethic and thourougly rewarding. By the end of the course if you are looking for a job Barcelona Code School are more than happy to assist you in anything you might need, less than a couple of weeks after the Bootcamp i already have three job interviews lined up. If you still have any doubts head over to their website and strike up a conversation everyone's really friendly!

Coming from a totally different background , doing a bootcamp wasn't an easy decision for me.But this is definitely the best decision I've ever made during my 18 month life in Barcelona. I've always been interested in programming but never really took it seriously until this bootcamp. I found my real passion and I'm proud of myself finishing this super intense course with a few presentable projects. The instructors are very nice and always willing to help whenever you have a question, so don't hesitate to ask questions! They are always trying to make sure nobody is falling behind. The course is well organized and they are constantly improving the curriculum to make sure you can learn the most trendy and useful technologies. Anyway, don't waste your time here reading reviews, just go sign up for a course and start an amazing journey!!

If you are looking to change career and get a job in tech I would definitely recommend the JavaScript Full-Stack Bootcamp at Barcelona Code School.
The course is challenging and intense but the instructors are attentive and always on hand if you have any questions or doubts. For me the bootcamp approach was a very new learning experience but I did enjoy it and proud of getting through it. The projects are very hands on and a great way to test your skills.
Be prepared to work hard and don’t underestimate the course. However with effort and determination you will enjoy the experience and be amazed at how much you learn!

George is a very serious about his course. As a good teacher he makes sure that everyone gets as much out of it as possible!
I wanted to get overall insight into Wordpress and was happy that George had an answer to all my questions though they sometimes might have been a bit off-track.
This course is hands-on and is ideal if you already have a website you want to make fully thought-out. If you work persistently between the classes you can actually get the whole website done in the three days!
Definitely value for money!

My name is Goran and I'm one of current students at Barcelona Code School.
I will try to describe you my impressions of JavaScript Bootcamp.
I have some previous experience with web development so I have some knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery. Problem is that knowledge is partial and was acquired ad hoc so I was hoping Bootcamp could give me a more solid foundation of that area and a systematic approach for acquiring required knowledge.
This is my fourth week and by now I can tell that this course really fulfilled my expectations and even exceeded them. First, it gave me a good perspective at the field and put pieces at the right place. Then, it have deepened each particular subject to details many of which were unknown to me previously or not enough understood. Every lesson has its accompanying exercises and these exercises are great because they further expand details of specific topic and allows you to see if you correctly understood something or gives you some another view of possible solutions to problems. I think you have to give the best to try to solve exercises by yourself but it's also nice that if you stuck you can ask for help from instructor or from other students. Solved exercises are reviewed by instructor and that additionally resolves possible uncertainties.
Whole course is well organized and guided, there are several communication tools used. At start you get BCS account at Gmail and by that mail you are receiving all important information. Then you create a Slack account which is tool for more immediate communication, for getting answers to questions, to see code snippets, to see ideas and solutions of other students etc.
Then you have Trello for exercices review and discussions about solutions/projects. All learning materials are presented at DropBox Paper.Each live lesson is available at BCS YouTube channel and there you can also find shortened form of lessons so called screencasts.
Since I'm employed and I can attend the course mostly in afternoon/evening hours I didn't know how it will function but it showed up that is not a problem because things are organized flexibly and I can attend lectures and do exercises/projects when is viable to my time schedule.You will also get a recommendations for additional resources like reading lists, suggestions for development tools or great sites like Codewars where you can practice your programming skills.
Although I'm not physically present at School I can feel positive and motivating atmosphere, and school staff is always ready to answer the questions and adjust to possible demands as well as to give advice in which direction would be best to go.

I thought the course was great and George was a brilliant instructor.
I came across this course in my search to fill some knowledge gaps. The cost was reasonable and reviews of the school in general were very positive.
I am not from a technical background, however the amount I picked up in 3 days was quite astonishing. Wordpress is so widely used, that it was great to come away with a decent amount of knowledge to be able to both build my own website as well as understand how to assess other websites and figure out what will and won't work on my own.
George took his time to explain everything fully but managed to keep to schedule and complete all of the modules of the course within the 3 days. I'd recommend this to anybody wishing to understand the basics of Wordpress and how to go about building their first website.

I took a web development bootcamp because of the stack they teach. I looked for the bootcamp that teaches React and BCS appeared to be one of a few doing that. The approach they use is friendly for the beginners and they don’t leave anyone falling behind. With React we’ve built a mobile app during the course which was one of my goals and then a large final web app. I learned tons of stuff and it improved my freelancer’s skills dramatically.
The daily workflow is intensive and challenging, it’s all about writing tons of code and practicing with projects, no useless talks or useless lectures, everything is hands-on and very practical. The async stuff we did is mind blowing but once you figure that out you feel like a codestar. I’ve always been good with computers but this took me to another level. Make sure to ask all the questions you have during the course because the instructors are super friendly and helpful. I also practiced on weekends even though some people didn’t. I think it helped me. Honestly, I didn’t think I’d be capable of learning the server-side and databases since I’ve never touched them in my life. Turns out it’s not that impossible. And I should mention the campus they have - it’s a really nice place, calm and quiet with a terrace and everything new. -

Hi!
I've always loved programming, but made a carreer as a lawyer. This year I decided to give it a try. I needed a good programing school, but I didn't want to do all the things that they do in those huge cool coding schools, like going to the bar or whatever. So I found a school with less students, sure, where I could concentrate on learning without any stupid distractions. This is totally it. I mean I just don't have time to go to the bars, I'm to busy writing code. And now I'm starting to really get it.

I'm a True Coder now!
I found exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't be more comfortable as I've been learning coding from the very beginning. Sure, there are some other coding schools in BCN and I've been to almost each one of them but. I couldn't imagine myself in a group of like 20 people where everybody knows how to write a code except for me. Here I was among other 5 people and it was easier and safer.

I don't know what am I supposed to say, really. The school is all right. I've chosen it for the location, to not to go far from home everyday. So the location is good, yes. What else. The course itself is practical. I immediately start to use new information on what I'm working on. The tutors - they're fine. So it's really all right.

I've just spent 9 weeks learning JavaScript in BCS. What can I say. It's definitely worth it. I started as a beginner, but I've never felt stupid or unattended.

I was slightly skeptical first about being able to learn coding at all so I chose carefully and looked at all the options in Barcelona and frankly speaking it seems like there is only one focused on beginners with curriculum and approach that make sense. These guys are not trying to push everything possible inside the programme but compose it thoughtfully keeping in mind latest trends and us, students.
So when from the first day of JavaScript when I realized that I am actually capable to write code I felt that I just rediscovered myself. That feeling when you build something and you can see the progress is incredible.
I am now not only can build apps but also the hardcore advocate for Barcelona code school and just can't stop to tell everybody how amazing the teachers are. And their campus is super cool. 5 stars.

Practical and intensive
I definitely recommend the WooCommerce class to anyone wanting to build his/her own e-commerce site. George went through the whole process step by step and made it very easy to understand. No previous knowledge of WordPress was necessary but it does help. It was a great class.

worth every penny
This workshop is very efficient and worth the price. Every single minute you learn something. You can ask questions, you can solve your own website problems and you meet George who doesn’t mind to help you in some urgent website situations outside of the class. George is calm, patient and just nice to deal with.

This course helped me a lot, I'd learned how to make websites in Wordpress and use of Woocommerce. I was really impress with myself that I could do it so fast, The teacher help in any questions we had. I totally recommend this courses. Practical stuff
I did the weekend course last week and was really glad I did it. For me the last part of the course (a test of our skills) was really usefull.
I would suggest to do something also the first day. So that what is explained can be applied and tested the same day. In our case we only did it the last day, I would suggest doing it the first day as well.

At first I was nervous to learn Javascript in a new country, but those nerves quickly went away after meeting with the BCS team. It did not take me long to feel comfortable at the school, as they are all so kind and friendly. They took the time to answer all of my questions about the program to make sure I was comfortable. Aside from the kind staff, the office space is wonderful. It is modern and welcoming, with a wide open floor plan that makes it easy to learn with an open mind. Not only is the inside beautiful, but there is a terrace that looks perfect for taking a break or having a snack. BCS also has an ideal Barcelona location, as it is the heart of the city yet away from tourists. When I left the office, I also noticed many delicious lunch spots that would be great to try out after class. After such a nice tour, I think that Barcelona Code School will be the one for me!

This summer I had the opportunity to tour BCS and was very satisfied! I was lucky enough to come in when one of the classes was in progress and the students were so focused, I was very impressed. The class size was quite small, which I thought was a nice learning environment. I was also shocked at how low their price was compared to the other schools I had researched prior to my visit. BCS seems like the best option, at least for me!

Several years ago I decided to make a website using Wordpress. It wasn’t easy but I succeeded. Then my friends started to ask me to make websites, too. So I started to earn money this way. But the more I understood Wordpress, the less confident I felt about myself as a coder. It was obvious that I needed to learn how to write the real code to get capable of doing exactly what I and my clients want, instead of using the existing themes. I was looking for the coding bootcamps around Europe. Of course it seemed to me more attractive to study in Barcelona, rather than in some cold northern cities. I’ve chosen Barcelona Code School because of what they teach. Their program is perfect for the coder’s needs. I like the location, because one can discover the real BCN without crowds of tourists. I’ve learned a lot. Now I simply don’t understand how could I live without JavaScript for so long. Now I have no fear to do bold and innovative projects. Even though I’ve been so exhausted during those two months, now I’m totally grateful for what they taught me. Thanks, guys! -

I was learning unity by myself for a while and made couple of simple games but this course took me to another level! What I've learned from Rustam now let's me build much much more interesting games and i understand game logic and design on another level. It was hard to be honest but it is a good thing, the amount of knowledge is incredible. much respect -

I finished the coding bootcamp teaching javascript, react, express and react native. The teachers were really good, really cared about helping us learn. They were always willing to answer our questions and give us guidance, and they were very understanding when we struggled. I learned enough to land a job and now I am focusing on going deeper into the frontend development. The curriculum covering everything we need to know to start as juniors, and after that only sky is the limit :)
In addition to teaching us how to code, the bootcamp also helped us with things like building our resumes and finding jobs. This was really helpful because it gave us the skills and confidence we needed to succeed in the real world. Overall I would definitely recommend this bootcamp to anyone who wants to learn how to build websites. The teachers were great and the program was really helpful. -

I was looking for a coding bootcamp to learn how to build my app which I've had an idea for for a long time. These guys are awesome! You can implement your idea if you have one and they will follow you and give all the support even though my project was a bit out of the scope of the curriculum. They are always there for you, tracking your progress, sending feedback and guiding through. The personal sessions with the mentors were invaluable. Thanks a lot! -

Oh, phew, no doubt two toughest months in my life :)) but I did it! This is incredible how far I've gone from being a complete noob to making my full web app. I was living, breathing and dreaming javascript and am super proud of what I have achieved. Of course I wouldn't be here without my mentors, their patience, guidance and constant availability helped a lot. What I also liked that there a videos for all the lectures and they are very helpful, because there is so much information that sometimes I needed to go back and refresh something from the previous section of the curriculum and it helped a lot, they are very step by step and explanatory.
To those who are thinking of taking the bootcamp I should say go for it and be prepared to learn much more than you'd expect. Yay! -

If you want to learn full-stack web development this is the place! Really happy with the outcome from the 9-week online Javascript course.
The online course gives you the flexibility to work around other responsibilities. You have access to help at all times, the instructors are super friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to help with any issues you may have.
I will say though that the 9-week option is pretty intense, so if you don't have any coding experience or have to miss a few days of class I would recommend to choose the 13-week option. -

This bootcamp changed my entire life! i was excited to go into this coding bootcamp located in one of the most beautiful and historic cities int he entire world but i wasn't ready for what happened next. a teaching program that was so good and so comforting that i absorbed knowledge like a dry sponge, the teaching methods were extremely effective and set me up for a career in coding. AdWords Training
We had 3 courses of AdWords training, 2 hours each, with the instructor Carmen. She was incredibly kind, a great teacher, and very inspiring. She helped us learn the basics of AdWords, as well as orientate our office a bit in regards to our USPs and general points for our sales.
