Correlation One

Correlation One offers a practice-oriented world-class course in Data Science. It is a truly immersive experience, covering the whole range of skills that any data scientist needs to perform securely in any industry demanding machine learning, data analysis and data visualization abilities, while also bringing a complete introduction to deep learning. The instructors and teaching assistants have prepared a solid and and understandable curriculum that builds your practice without gaps, and I felt truly inspired by their skills and attitude. Of course, thirteen weeks are not enough for building a truly competitive skillset for an industry-specific data science job, but the course gives you enough material to know where and how to dig deeper for facing any context-specific project even if you don't have all the math foundations. I would only change one thing: more location-specific cases. Read less

I was a recent grad looking to transition from academia to industry data science roles and this bootcamp helped bridge my experience. Professor Natesh is, hands down, the most welcoming and engaging lecturer I have ever had, both in-person and online! He alone made this whole experience worth it. You are also paired with mentors and TAs who are very knowledgeable and go above and beyond to network you into their companies/connections. Additionally, your project and its deliverables are super relevant to job postings giving you ample of material to discuss in your interviews. 

I do have to say that I came in with lots of programming and data analysis experience which made the curriculum easier to follow. Fellows who did not have this background did struggle to follow along, however, DS4A worked on improving the pacing and provided as many additional resources as possible. I did find that companies struggled to share roles that were open to graduates with our experience level (e.g., not requiring applicants to have an MS or PhD). DS4A helped communicate this to their company sponsors and by the second career fair, it seemed like there were more entry-level roles shared with us. 

Overall, I strongly recommended this bootcamp to my network and anybody willing to listen. While we were the guinea pigs, DS4A showed us time and time again that they are willing to listen to our feedback and make any necessary changes to make it more accommodating and inclusive to their cohort. The DS4A coursework is well thought out with real world examples and the mode and method of teaching is incomparable. It fosters an environment that encourages students to ask questions and removes the stigma from error, and helps them see mistakes as a growth experience. Beyond the coursework (Python, SQL, statistical analysis etc.) and the technical skills earned, the community that one gains is priceless. I came in with a very basic background in coding, but with high proficiency in data analytics, and I left with a well-expanded skillset. The course is built for beginners all the way to advanced folks, with its offerings of additional boot camps for beginners and advanced learners. And the crowning jewel of this program -- the diversity and inclusion efforts that cover a variety of aspects and provides a much needed platform to under-represented groups. Before I started this course, I had 0 knowledge of code, data science, analytics, etc. But after my experience with DS4A I can say my knowledge and understanding has increased so much.

The pace is perfect for beginners, there's additional bootcamps to help prepare you prior to official lessons.  The other people in the cohort were supportive and helpful, the TA's and speakers were all amazing. 

It's definitely more than a "coding bootcamp", it's truly a community of people who will support and challenge you to think and be your best.

I still wouldn't say I'm proficient but I can say I have a strong understanding of the basics and can continue to build my skills from there.  Read less

I completed the Correlation One Cybersecurity Fellowship from June to November 2025, and overall it was a valuable and challenging experience that helped strengthen my foundation in IT and cybersecurity. The program covered a wide range of topics including operating systems, networking, security controls, threat analysis, incident response, and risk management. The structure was fast-paced but well-organized, and I appreciated how each section built on the last.One of the strongest aspects of the program was the hands-on work. The 16 labs and the real-world case studies were especially helpful in reinforcing concepts like digital forensics, access control, cryptography, and vulnerability assessment. Being able to apply skills using tools and frameworks such as OpenSSL and MITRE ATT&CK made the learning feel practical and relevant.I also found the support from instructors and staff to be consistent and encouraging. They were responsive when I had questions and provided useful feedback on assignments. The weekly assessments pushed me to keep up with the material, and maintaining a high average helped me stay motivated.If there’s one area that could be improved, it would be offering more optional live sessions or office hours for students who want deeper explanations or extra practice. The content is dense, and having more interactive time would make the experience even stronger.Overall, I had a positive experience and feel more confident in my cybersecurity skills after completing the fellowship.
