Columbia State Community College Bootcamps
Columbia State Community College offers live online, 12-week, full-time bootcamps in Software Development and UX/UI Design. The full-time bootcamps are designed to take complete beginners and give them the skills they need to start a career in software or design. 10-week, part-time Ignition courses are available to beginners who are looking to gain experience in either coding or design. Classes are fully remote so students can learn from anywhere. If interested individuals are unable to attend full-time classes, part-time classes may be available as well.
The Software Development bootcamp covers front end and back end programming. Students will learn JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Express.JS, and MongoDB to give students exposure to full stack development. In a final capstone project, students will use their new skillset to help a company create an application.
The UX/UI Design bootcamp covers the fundamentals of design, iterative design, and research synthesis. Students will learn the design-thinking mindset, usability metrics and research, wireframing, prototyping, and setting performance goals. Students will build a final capstone project that will use design thinking to solve a user problem, and require students to create and present their prototype.
No experience is necessary in order to apply to the bootcamps. Applicants can fill out the interest form on the website to get started with the application process.
Bootcamp students will have access to career assistance and networking opportunities as well as a network of hiring partners. Graduates from these programs have a 93% job placement rate after graduation.
