    Great Curriculum + Projects

I'm about a month away from graduating the 6-month variant of the Berkeley Bootcamp, and while I can't speak to landing a career out of the program just yet (fingers crossed), I can speak to the program itself.

Overall, the structure of the 6-month program was a homework a week throughout the entire course and three group projects. The group projects were larger in scale and had two weeks devoted to them, with the first few being with "randomized" groups (or well, groups drafted ...

Tough, but worth it. Hang in there.

I decided to make a career change from architecture (construction) to full stack development, because technology intrigues and motivates me. The only coding experience I had coming into the bootcamp was from sites like codecademy, udemy, udacity, and edx. I taught myself some programming languages, but nothing in comparison to what I learned in this bootcamp.

If you're approaching this bootcamp just to get a certificate, you won't make it. You need better motivation than that if ...

Congratulations on completing the program, Roper! We really appreciate your feedback.

As you mention, this course can be challenging and requires that students commit an appropriate amount of time and effort to learning these valuable new skills. This is excellent insight for future students.

It makes us proud to hear that our team provided you with the support and guidance you needed, even going above and beyond to make sure that you absorbed the course material. Not worth for the money you spend.

If you have 13K-16K and have time to learn, then do a master's degree in any university but this bootcamp is not worth it for the money and does not add any value to your resume. Their job assistance will not help you get anywhere.

    UX/UI DESIGN

Based on my experience there are a lot of better options in terms of learning quality and job assistance support than the UC Berkeley UX/UI design boot camp because:
1- The instructor does not prepare any slides and is often unaware of the course/slides content coming up in the class. it created creates frustration amongst all students. For each activity/homework - he is not aware of the content (it seems we are all reading it together) The instructor plainly re...

Thank you for your feedback. The student experience is our top priority, and we regret to hear your boot camp experience did not live up to your expectations.

We vet our instructors carefully, hiring practitioners with a minimum of three years of experience in the field. Throughout the course, we analyze both their performance and levels of engagement in the classroom, providing feedback to help them further develop their teaching skills. However, we understand that you felt our team did not provide satisfactory support and we never want any of our participants to feel discouraged from continuing their work in our programs and beyond.

Job seeking is difficult and takes hard work on the part of the participant. Our professional development services are built on the principle of empowerment. While we do not secure employment for learners, we do provide more than 75 hours of professional development, consisting of resume and portfolio reviews, virtual tech panels, technical interview training, and more. We're constantly optimizing our offerings, so we appreciate your input.

It's our goal for all students to complete the boot camp feeling equipped for success, so we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you and determine what additional assistance we can provide for you at this time. If you would like, please reach out to us directly at (510) 455-4065.

I feel scammed knowing I took part in this program and want anyone considering to stay away ESPECIALLY BEGINNERS. There are plenty of better programs out there go there even if there more expensive, if these bozos offer an ISA ESPECIALLY STAY AWAY. That fact that they didn't at the time screamed 'we don't expect you to find a job so why bother offering this is a payment option'. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We're glad to hear you found our instructors to be knowledgeable but regret your experience as a whole did not live up to your expectations.

Our boot camp serves a mix of individuals ranging from beginners to professionals. For our data analytics course, we do recommend applicants hold a bachelor’s degree or have at least two years of experience in business, management, finance, statistics, or a related field. For those without prior experience, we do our best to emphasize the importance of completing the program pre-work and exploring additional introductory learning materials prior to the start of the class. It is our goal to provide a beneficial learning experience for all of our students and we are constantly modifying our material in order to best prepare learners for the challenging nature of the curriculum.

We strive to provide supportive guidance throughout the entirety of the program through office hours, teaching assistants, Slack, and our free tutor network, but we understand that you would have liked more enhanced support. Our main priority is and will continue to be the student experience and we want all students to get the support they need to be successful.

You are completely right that our career services are built on the principle of empowerment. While we do not secure direct employment for students, we provide individualized support, technical interview training, portfolio reviews, 1:1 coaching, and more to help students become competitive job candidates. Based on your review, we understand that you have not yet achieved your desired job outcomes. We are continually optimizing our professional development assistance, so we thank you for sharing this input.

We sincerely care about all our learners and would welcome the opportunity to further discuss how else we can support you at this time and help meet your expectations. If you would like, please reach out to us directly at (510) 455-5867.

Our advisors strive to provide timely admissions counseling to all those who would like to learn more about our programs but only contact applicants during regular business hours. Hi Anonymous,

We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience. We know that your cohort had to make a small schedule change toward the end of your program, and we regret any inconvenience this may have caused.

Class schedules are subject to change, and on the occasion that a change is needed, this can affect lecture schedules in order to minimize the overall impact on the student experience and learning process. We also constantly update our curriculum, and as technology is ever-changing, this sometimes requires us to update our materials during the course of the program. We value our instructors' skills and their efforts toward keeping our curriculum in-line with the latest market demands.

Our career curriculum often integrates into the existing class schedule because we strive to give all students access to our professional development services including career coaching, portfolio reviews, resume and social media profile support, and technical interview training.

As you mention, our instructors come from a variety of backgrounds within the field of web development and will often have different teaching styles. Our classes are recorded for quality assurance, and weekly feedback forms allow us to hear directly from students to make sure they are on pace and receiving a favorable teaching experience. We also provide additional academic support in the form of free tutoring sessions, online and in-person office hours, direct contact with instructors and TAs, and optional one-on-one meetings with student support or career services team members that students can schedule at a time that works for them.

We are sorry to hear that you had difficulty finding a time to attend tutoring sessions, and we'd like to better understand how we can accommodate you and other students who may have challenging schedules. We would also like to know how else we can equip you for success at this time. Please contact me directly at (510) 306- 1218.

Hi Anonymous, thank you for sharing with us. We take feedback very seriously and regret to hear about your experience.

Our refund policy as well as the enrollment agreement (EA) you signed when you paid your deposit does note that $1,000 of the deposit is not refundable. While we never want our students to drop from the program, we are transparent about the nonrefundable part of the deposit so that students are aware of how a refund would be processed if they choose to drop. By making clear the non-refundable portion of the deposit at the time of enrollment, we also ensure that students reserving a seat feel confident in their decision to enroll. This is important since that seat will not be available to any other student interested in the program.

Our admissions and student success teams receive many phone calls and emails during the day, and do their best to ensure that they address each person’s concerns in a timely manner. We are sorry that you had difficulty getting answers to your questions. We can assure you that our staff does not block phone numbers nor intentionally ignore calls—student support is our top priority and we always strive to be responsive. Our phone calls all funnel in through one system and do not go to our advisors’ personal phone numbers, so individual callers cannot be blocked.

We do apologize for any delays you experienced in email communication. It is our goal to respond within 24 to 48 hours, however, this is not always possible. We are constantly working to improve our response time to best serve the needs of both students and applicants.

We sincerely care about our students and always want them to feel valued, supported, and happy with their experience in our programs. Please give our program director a call at (510) 306-1218 so that we can address your concerns further.
