I learned coding at Nebula, I was part of the first bootcamp. It was not easy at the beginning but it was amazing to see all you can do with a few lines of codes and that changed everything. I also learned many other skills among them, problem solving which is very important because it will help you in your entire life either you are in technology or not. Qwasar Silicon Valley was founded by a team of dedicated and genuinely thoughtful technologists who believe in the power of learning through experience, not lectures or textbooks. The more you put into this program, the more you will get out of it. Support is available for questions of all types - from fundamentals to more advanced CS topics. There is a diverse student body that is eager to learn and support one another, and peer-based project reviews help students both learn to take constructive criticism and to digest and comment intelligently on someone else's code. The connections with numerous companies (in the Bay Area and across the globe) help students to open doors and find meaningful employment, and as the program progresses there is a good amount of interview prep which is very practical. I strongly recommend this program for students of all abilities who truly wish to further their technical knowledge and build a solid foundation for a career in any part of the tech industry.Noble Desktop is a NY State-Licensed technology training school in New York City providing full-time and part-time certificate programs in graphic design, web development, data science, video editing, UX/UI design, digital marketing, and other coding and design skills. I have completed 2 certificate programs at Noble Desktop in NYC - a 90-hour front-end web design certificate that included classes in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JQuery, HTML email, Photoshop for web and UI, and mobile and responsive web design. No more Dreamweaver and WYSIWYG, this is all coding! The second certificate built onto the first, and added a 30-hour back-end web development program which included PHP and MySQL and WordPress.org. I learned tons, and the teachers were excellent. The coursebooks are such a valuable tool to use with my projects, and being able to take additional classes live online makes it easy to keep learning. I was able to code a WordPress theme from scratch with what I learned form the WordPress.org class, and was even asked to speak at this past summer's Wordcamp NYC. The instructors know their stuff, and really make learning fun. Nothing is rushed, and they take time to answer all questions. And having the option to re-take a class is also great. These courses were a very worthwhile investment - would recommend to anyone.

Tara Haskamp Verified via GitHub4Student • Course: Design for The Web • OnlineSo grateful for the experience and knowledge gained from Perpetual Education
To be honest, I was skeptical about Perpetual Education in the beginning. After checking out their website it felt much more like a designer or UX/UI leaning course. I really loved their outlook and approach to educating, but it wasn't the path that I wanted. I (thought) I was looking for a backend path or maybe fullstack. I did return to them eventually and after chatting with Ivy and Derek, I was assured that with how they set up the program, there are eventually different routes and different areas to focus on during the course, but they are heavy on teaching about the design DOs and DON'Ts so that more developers are able to create with more purpose and not making broken things.
The course is heavily reliant on group participation and communication. When students aren't involved, it can impact everyone, so don't go into this (or any study program) if you can't dedicate yourself to learning and keeping up with everyone. It's not fair to you or anyone else. The participation with fellow students has been some of the best experience and learning from the program. Others would ask questions I hadn't thought of or would run into issues and we could all learn from that as a team.
There is an expectation to meet with Derek at least once a week to chat about whatever you need to. If you are struggling with understanding a concept, he can work with you one on one to get a better idea and how to practice so that the information will stick. Do NOT skip out on these meetings. It is single-handedly possibly the best benefit to this course.
Now, for job assistance, they aren't going to hand out jobs for everyone to apply to, because that isn't their goal anyway. They want everyone to find their own focus and discover the kind of companies you want to work for. If you really like camping and hiking and outdoorsy stuff, find a cool company that aligns with that and figure out how you can get a job there. Then you will get the assistance you want/need for polishing your resume, your portfolio and generally preparing for interviews and such.
In short, I think the experience here is one of a kind and I can't imagine a better outcome from any of the other bootcamps I had looked at in the beginning.Tech901 is a nonprofit technical training provider offering part-time, hands-on courses in IT and data analytics in Memphis, Tennessee. Ada Developers Academy ( ADA ) delivers what it says it does. You will receive a top notch education in programming, computer science fundamentals, and preparation for whiteboard style interviewing. You will not be charged tuition and you will receive a stipend at the end of each month of your internship that is the equivalent of 35 hours a week at $15 an hour. Taxes will not be taken out of your check as your role is that of a contractor. Most of your class will have job offers before the cohort ends, but not all, often for reasons not under ADA's ( or the Adies' ) control. You will graduate ready to enter the job market as a junior developer. You will think that you should feel more skilled and experienced once you reach that point but you won't ( what you hope to feel like usually takes 5 years of experience and work to achieve ). You will have a strong network of graduates to lean on and the support of ADA during future job searches and dealing with the challenges that the tech industry brings.
Teaching will usually be spot on, but there will be missteps and errors along the way. You will be doing more independent study than you anticipate. Your instructors ( 2 per 24 students, 1 floating instructor, 1 Jumpstart instructor, a dedicated Computer Science Fundamentals instructor, and an outstanding student counselor ) are supportive, committed to the mission of ADA, and eager for you to succeed, but they are human. Things more very fast and you have to advocate for yourself and your classmates. Sometimes tutoring is available, sometimes not. If you start to fall behind you need to recognize it quickly and get assistance immediately. You may have to go outside of ADA to do that.
You will receive education and training about social justice, including the concerns and challenges of women of color and non-binary individuals. You will be personally be challenged. You will learn things you didn't know about yourself, and didn't necessarily want to know. You will learn that there is difference between ADA and the Adies alumnix. It was the alumnix who made the commitment to "no woman left behind". Students have been expelled from ADA. Not all of us got in on our first try. Some were admitted on their 5th try. There is some Redshirting. You will form some of the strongest friendships of your life, but you won't like everyone. Lateral aggression is minimal, bullying almost non-existent. ADA was worth it, the Adies especially so. But it is hard. The process hurts. It hurts alot. But it was worth it. Eyes open, keep your expectations in check, and it will be amazing. You will be amazing. Apply.
