This code camp is great since our teachers always assist us whenever we asked questions. This is also the best school for Non-IT professionals like me. They taught us the No Code website and mobile apps development and it was a great experience for me. Also they guide us how to prepare the BRD (Business Requirements Document), the project ideation and planning and it worth the cost of learning. Read less

The bootcamp's curriculum covered front-end and back-end technologies providing a solid foundation for web development. The instructors were very helpful and knowledgeable in teaching the technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, and the MERN Stack. Hands-on projects allowed us to apply what we learned and build a robust portfolio of web applications. The collaborative learning environment fostered teamwork and peer learning. Learning how to code is hard, especially without having any CS background. What I love about the Uplift community is their ability to proactively offer unwavering support to their students throughout their programming journey. They don’t shy away from receiving constructive feedback and even highly encourage it to be able to course correct and constantly improve for the growth and betterment of the community.
My experience with Uplift was far from smooth sailing. It’s one thing to learn how to code with zero tech background, it’s an entirely different thing when joining a coding camp while also juggling two jobs. I’ve experienced the lowest of lows while taking the program but somehow still came out victorious…exhausted but still victorious. The team behind Uplift were flexible and helpful enough to assist me when I was faced with a conundrum that made me temporarily drop out of the program. That’s when you know they really value their students.
When I first joined the program, I was greeted with enthusiasm. When I graduated, I was greeted with the same enthusiasm. It’s hard not to be excited for yourself too. If not THE best, Uplift is one of the best schools to take courses and programs in web development to kickstart your career in tech. Read less

After considering all the bootcamps in the Philippines in Q1 of 2021, what made me choose Uplift is what seemed to be their devotion to helping people learn how to code — and, well, 'uplifting' people through tech. Their 'why' of doing things stood out to me. It wasn't all about business and profit. Midway through the program, my hunch was proven correct.  I barely knew anything about web development when I started (there's plenty to learn after only more than a year in tech!) and I didn't come from a science background, but I graduated (maybe overly) confident that I can do whatever app I want to make because of the exercises and projects we created.  We were taught the basics. HTML, CSS, JS, React, Node. Also how to use other frameworks and a few helpful packages... These are things one can find online but to pivot to be a web developer or be in tech, in general, a supportive community is needed. So besides teaching the technical stuff, Uplift provided a safe and welcoming online space to actually allow learning.  Going through this program wasn't easy. It was still intense! But learning was made fun and not like pulling teeth. I think it's easy to teach, but harder to foster spaces like the one they provide.  We had seminars in design thinking, taking care of one's mental health, time management, writing a resume and representing yourself online via platforms and creating a portfolio, etc. We also had mock HR and technical interviews, which are always grueling, but we were guided and given feedback on how to improve ourselves.  Uplift is really a community with the student/learner's interest in mind. I finished the program thinking I am/can be a 'good' developer and not just in the technical sense, but also in how tech is ultimately for people and to be a developer one has to always keep that in mind. 

Also, the people behind this coding camp are respectful, competent, well-rounded individuals, so dealing with them is always a pleasure! Read less

I really enjoy the experience in Uplift. At first, I am worried I won't last the whole program because I have zero knowledge in this field. But the good thing is all of the Uplift Members are supportive and won't let you feel intimidated at all. They are very approachable and will really help you to learn. Uplift Code Camp is one of the best bootcamps in the Philippines! This bootcamp is beginner friendly, so it is perfect for career shifters and/or to those people who wants to learn coding but has no coding background. The part-time program lasts for about 6 months and these months are jam-packed with lectures, assignments, projects, and fun events too! What I also like about Uplift is its community! You don't have to worry about solving everything on your own because a lot of people in the community are more than willing to help. Also, by the end of the program, Uplift makes sure that you are job-ready. They make sure that you can ace job-hunting by making sure you have a good portfolio, and by conducting mock interviews. Overall, my experience with Uplift is really great and I am beyond grateful for all the learnings (in code and life lessons!), and also for the friends I've made in this community. They'll guide you to become a full stack web developer, which is extremely helpful and convenient if you do not know where to start and how to become one because of information overload in the internet. There's a lot of coding exercises, and you'll get your feet wet right from the start. They will also help you in other important aspects like preparing your CV, portfolio, job interviews, and connecting you to their industry partners. I'd probably not have been able to quickly switch careers if it had not been for the bootcamp.  Read less

The program is really beginner friendly for anyone who wants to really learn coding even if you have zero background in the industry. Good thing about this camp is that everyone can enroll and they even offer flexible payment terms. Instructors and founders are hands-on and will certainly entertain any questions even if you felt like its a stupid question, and for a beginner like me it really helped me a lot. They always encourage you ask questions and when you're stuck they will offer their free time to teach the students beyond class hours because that's how passionate they are! They also provide seminars and trainings not only related to the program but also for personal growth that will help the students prepare their careers in tech. They help us prepare for our job search by doing technical mock interviews and gave assessments for improvements. I did some research online and send out my inquiries to schools offering web development bootcamp and I'm glad on how Uplift Code Camp made a quick response on my application. I was among the first-batch of students and everyone in the bootcamp are friendly and helpful.  The instructor and school founders are very passionate on teaching and sharing their knowledge with us.  They have shown their dedication by coaching us in every way possible. It was an intense 4 months of learning the concept and application. It was a very enriching and rewarding experience for me as I got to develop my own websites in the shortest possible time, considering my non-technical background.  Aside from learning different programming languages, the school has also provided free "personal growth" trainings, which are align to prepare students like me who are pursuing a career in tech. I had a great experience attending the bootcamp. We've been taught how to solve programming problems in various approach. The activities are well thought out, and delivered in a manner that will make the students understand a particular concept in programming. At first, I got worried when I learned about the bootcamp being held online due to the pandemic, but it turns out to be just fine. The instructor was able to anticipate the problems on online learning, such as coding along with limited screen size, and was able to do necessary adjustments. Our last week in the bootcamp was spent on training us how to land a job in the tech industry. We did mock interviews and was given feedback on what went well and how can we further improve our answers. I really enjoyed the bootcamp and will definitely recommend Uplift Code Camp to anyone I know who are planning to take the path of programming.  Read less

The Bootcamp started on May.  It was at the beginning at the corona crises, and the school had to prepare the whole program to be offered remotely, so mine was the first remote class. I was really impressed by the quality of it, since they had to put it together basically within a few weeks. The staff was always great, I really loved the teacher, and founders were always there to support us. I started to code by myself but didn't work so I enrolled here. Throughout the bootcamp, I've built a JS game, a fully responsive website, and an few Fullstack apps using the MERN stack. It was a really great experience and a big step changing careers for me. I also learned a lot throughout during the evaluation and feedback/ mock interviews. The only negative side, from my point of view, was the remote session. Since we couldn't meet in person. Other than that, Uplift really prepared us, and brought relevant knowledge when it comes to preparing ourselves for the interviews , and how to apply for jobs, how to make our CVS interesting for recruiters, and so forth .
All in all, it was a great experience and I'm super happy I did it at Uplift Codecamp. I'm really satisfied and I will definitely recommend it to anyone that ask me how was it.  Read less

Throughout this bootcamp, I developed strong foundation in modern web dev. We started with semantic HTML5 and CSS using flexbox and Grid, then progressed into JS. We learned the fundamentals, array and string and DOM manipulation to create dynamic and interactive web app.

We also gained experience in backend development using Node.js, Express.js and MongoDB allows us to build a full-stack application and apply what we learned in real projects.

One of the valuable lessons I learned is the importance of following the clean and consistent coding standards which the bootcamp provided us. We also learned how to use Git for version control to help us managed our code, track changes and understand how developers collaborate in real-world projects.

My experience in the bootcamp has been challenging, but it has taught me a lot about web development and, more importantly, how to approach problems as a developer.Throughout the program, I learned the fundamentals of full-stack web development and gained hands-on experience working with the MERN stack — MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js.

On the frontend, I learned how to build applications using React, including working with components, props, state, events, forms, and managing the flow of data throughout an application. I also learned how to structure frontend applications and connect them to backend services.

On the backend, I learned how to use Node.js and Express.js to create servers and APIs, handle HTTP requests and responses, implement routes, work with middleware, and connect applications to databases. I also gained experience working with MongoDB for storing and managing application data.

One of the biggest things I learned was how important system analysis and planning are before writing code. Instead of immediately jumping into implementation, I learned to think about the requirements, users, data, system flow, and how the different parts of an application should interact.I also learned about CRUD operations, REST APIs, database operations, authentication, validation, error handling, and application architecture through hands-on development.Another important part of the bootcamp was learning how to debug and refactor code. I became more comfortable reading errors, identifying the actual cause of a problem, testing different solutions, and improving existing implementations instead of simply rewriting everything from scratch.

The bootcamp also helped me improve my problem-solving and algorithmic thinking. Technical assessments and coding exercises forced me to think through problems step by step, understand the requirements, consider edge cases, and explain my reasoning while coding.I also learned that being a developer isn't just about knowing syntax. It's about understanding the problem first, breaking it down into smaller pieces, choosing an appropriate approach, and being able to explain why the solution works.

The technical assessments were especially valuable because they helped me practice live coding, communicating my thought process, and defending my technical decisions. I was able to successfully pass my technical assessment, which gave me confidence that I had developed a solid foundation in web development.Beyond the technical skills, the bootcamp taught me learning agility. There were many situations where I didn't immediately know the answer, and I had to research, experiment, make mistakes, debug, and try again. I learned to adapt instead of giving up when something didn't work.

Overall, the bootcamp gave me a strong foundation in full-stack development and helped me develop a better mindset for approaching software engineering problems. I still have a lot to learn, but I now have the foundation to continue building projects, improving my skills, and preparing myself for a professional software development career.I am grateful for the experience because it pushed me outside of my comfort zone and gave me the confidence to continue pursuing a career as a full-stack web developer. Coming into this program with almost zero background in programming, I honestly didn’t know what to expect when learning Java. At first, even the simplest concepts like variables, loops, and methods felt confusing and overwhelming. However, as the lessons progressed, the instructors explained the topics in a way that made them easier to understand, especially for beginners like me. The hands-on activities and coding exercises really helped reinforce what we learned in class and gave me confidence to continue improving.What I appreciated most about the program was how it focused not only on teaching syntax, but also on building problem-solving skills and logical thinking. The curriculum gave me a solid foundation that I can continue building on in the future. Even though I still know there is a lot more for me to learn in programming, I can confidently say that this bootcamp gave me a strong starting point and motivated me to keep studying Java and software development further. Uplift Code Camp's Java Batch 3 was the program that bridged the gap between "I know some Java" and "I can build and ship a real application." The curriculum is project-driven from week one. You don't just learn syntax, you build full-stack apps with Java, Spring Boot, Thymeleaf, and a relational database, and the homework forces you to use proper patterns: MVC architecture, repository layers, persistence, and unit testing with JUnit.
