After almost five years of speaking with representatives of various bootcamps - to include two in-person out of state campus visits, I was tremendously fortunate to find Correlation One and the DS4A program. The program started with learning the foundations of Python Programming for 4 weeks. Then the next weeks were learning data science topics using Jupyter notebook to learn the concepts using real-world examples and datasets. I definitely recommend you apply if you are interested in learning about data science and Python. This is my foundation to continue learning. the TAs, mentors, and my group members (yes, there will also be a group project that you will have to dedicate time and effort to complete) were all amazing. It has a great support system, so if you are a beginner, DS4A is the way to code and learn about becoming a Data Scientist. Read less

My experience with the Data Science For All (DS4A) program was absolutely amazing. The data science content was so in-depth that I really felt like I was advancing my skills in the data science/coding realm. In addition to the data science curriculum itself, the guest speakers included as part of the program were fantastic as well. They were inspiring, motivational, and gave us the courage to go after our dreams and advocate for ourselves. I would absolutely recommend this program to anyone interested in coding or data science. The course was financed by the Colombian government and took place on Fridays and Saturdays for 10 weeks. The program has been formed thousands of applicants since the first cohort in 2019. DSA4 course was an amazing experience. I learned many techniques about data science. The classes were developed with application cases around economic, finance, health, and marketing. As well, we studied techniques to developing a dashboard using API with different databases.  Indeed, the staff is very qualified and they have a lot of human quality. In my personal case, the knowledge that I learned during the course improved my skills working with data. Read less

A course that allows to cover in a simple and practical way the different levels to understand the world of data analytics, it is focused for anyone regardless of having previous knowledge of statistics, I would like to get a more advanced course focused on people who handle advanced knowledge in statistics and mathematics. I recently graduated as part of the first cohort of the DS4A/Empowerment program. It was one of the best things I’ve ever done personally and professionally. It provided me the opportunity to work on technical skills I have long wanted to work on, with a structured curriculum and interesting cases and projects. My favorite part of the program is that it is multifaceted: it had the component of learning data science; it provided mentorship; there was a speaker series; there were career sessions and company presentations. DS4A really cultivated an amazingly supportive community that I have had the privilege to participate in. I don't see a lot of people who look like me in technical or leadership roles, and I'm so grateful to have found the support and inspiration from DS4A. I really value diversity, equity, and inclusion, which deeply aligned with the program’s mission. 

However, the biggest challenge I faced was balancing a demanding full-time job along with being a student in DS4A at the same time. I knew it would be a lot of work and I was right. I entered the program as a beginner in data science, and I know that I take longer to really understand technical concepts. There were many times that I fell behind due to workload. The program has wonderful TAs and instructors who really want students to succeed, making themselves available for office hours outside of class time. The other students in the program were also really helpful, and I found a buddy to hold myself accountable to keep working through the homework, lectures, and project. It wasn’t easy but with tenacity, commitment, and willingness to learn, it will be one of the best experiences you’ll have, even getting to meet individuals you would not have otherwise met. DS4A has opened the doors for my classmates and me in so many ways I had not thought possible. The classes, guest lectures, and individual TA time not only elevated my data science skills but propelled me to a new level. The quality of my classmates was also on par with what you'd see at any top-tier institution and allowed me to learn, network, and grow beyond my expectations. Quiero contarles un poco acerca de mi experiencia en DS4A. Soy un estadístico recién graduado de la Universidad del Valle,  los conocimientos adquiridos fueron muy buenos, sin embargo, en lo laboral hace se necesita un poco mas, un poco mas de lo nuevo (ML). Lastimosamente, en la universidad enseñaron muy poco de esto, por lo cual me toco buscar por cuenta propia sobre todas estas cosas. Meses después me entere de este curso, me sorprendió cuando me admitieron, ya que mis conocimientos no eran muchos pero me defendía. Este curso me ayudo a reforzar y aprender demasiadas cosas que hoy en día aplico en mi trabajo. Si alguien llega a leer esto, les recomiendo que se inscriban, vale mucho la pena. Read less

Correlation One goes the extra mile to make sure that you learn how to analyze data in python and SQL and get exposure to some top companies that are looking to hire entry level data analysts. This program was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about data science and techniques in a friendly and welcoming environment. I especially enjoyed working on a team project because it allowed us to challenge each other and produce something that we were all proud of. Create a great environment to learn and socialize with everybody.  The curriculum may be challenging at times, but you always end class knowing you've learned something new and valuable, plus Natesh and the awesome TAs is always there to help.  The group project was a great way to start my portfolio and form a strong bond with others.  Was sad once the program ended.
