Correlation One

I recently completed the Information Security Analyst Program with Correlation One that lasted approximately 6 months, at a pace that kept the entire community engaged. The curriculum was well-structured, with live lectures held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays covering various Information Technology topics and hands-on labs that were very beneficial, as well as numerous assignments to help reinforce the topics. The Instructors, Teachings Assistants, and career Success Coaches were very knowledgeable, and the Teachings Assistants were available for one-on-one sessions to answer questions and clarify any doubts. Furthermore, the training platform offered access to additional course material and job readiness resources. The community also engaged collaboratively via Slack where additional resources were shared. I would recommend the Correlation One Information Security Analyst Program because it was worthwhile and a great stepping stone to new job opportunities in the IT field.

Instructors and leadership were very helpful! I had an excellent experience in learning data analytics at my own pace . Not only was I able to learn the basics of data analytics, I also had the ability to ask questions and receive fast responses from everyone that open to answer. Throughout this entire schooling I have felt very comfortable, learnings were undertaken at a great pace and very thorough. All staff were very respectful and open, clear with communication and fantastic teachers for the whole allotment of elements. There was also a great community created within the communications channels for the teachers and students, supporting each other throughout and forming positive connections. Consisting of training in more advanced Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, Looker Studio and adapting during the course to include a small amount of Power BI was a lovely surprise. Coaching also provided to assist with potential job related fields including CV/Resume, LinkedIn and interview prep, all of which I spoke to were amazing. There are of course some difficult moments within to those unfamiliar with analytics, as I found at points, but overall a very enjoyable experience and very much recommend Correlation One. Thank you. I attended Data Analytics course as a part of Career Choice program at Amazon. I loved the way the course is organized - 2 days of online classes per week is just perfect to learn a lot, stay motivated and be systematic. The instructors are not only highly qualified but also they always make sure to conduct the lectures in a cool and engaging way. Great TA’s. Solid Curriculum. Flexible assignment schedule . Resume and LinkedIn assistance was good. Coaching Calls very useful. All of these things I listed above were very helpful to my growth in the program. We also had review sessions towards the end of the program to help with the CompTia Sec plus exam. We also had one on one sessions with TA’s to help with any concepts that we didn’t grasp during class. The practice exams at the end helped a lot The program also had an AI useful tool to help us with our Resume.  Read less

The cases that we did are all real word examples. It was amazing how I am able to acquire new technical skills in such a short time. They provided me with structured learning materials that are self-explanatory which makes those hard to grasp concepts easier to learn. So first I would like to say this is my Second certificate I received from C1 and the overall experience was super amazing if you are looking to change careers, or build your skills or want to keep up with the times in technology this is the best school choice. You have hundreds of fellow support Professional Skilled Instructors and a Professional Career Success Coach and a Professional Teacher Assistant to help you through the course. Curriculum included EXCEL, SQL, Python/Pandas, Tableau. And there was plenty about important but general, non-technical topics like data visualization and data curation.
For each of the software products,  we learned, the basics but also some advanced topics:    
     SQL:  multi-table joins, temporary tables, CTE's, views, aggregate funcitons, ordering, grouping, string functions, subqueries
     Tableau: filters, layout, dashboards, maps, layering maps
     EXCEL: lots and lots of functions, joining columns, splitting columns, joining tables, search, data wrangling
     Python/Pandas: doing all of the above but using Python
     Numpy:  image classificaiion, image manipulation

We got a lot of Professional Development coaching including personalized advice from our assigned  Career Success Coach (CSC). And this coaching continues for 1.5 years after graduation!
This was important because they made writing or updating your resume and Linked In profile a compulsory assignment so you were pretty well obliged to be job application ready by the end of the course. There was also a compulsory assignment to do a mock interview with your CSC.
After you graduate there's an alumni Slack channel and alumni Linked In group.
There were a large number of teaching assistants who were highly qualified and ready with high availability to help with coursework and for suggesting other topics for additional reading. Most of the TA's had 2 or 3 years professional experience as a DA so they really knew what they were talking about.
Videos were recorded in case you couldn't attend, there were written lessons with assignments that supplement the lectures, and recorded lecture reviews for an extra chance to absorb the material. Read less
