I came into the UW Coding Bootcamp with no coding experience whatsoever and I ended learning cutting edge technologies and frameworks that I see all over the web and on job applications. The program started out poorly with the initial instructor not seeming to care much about the program. That instructor was then replaced by a couple subs and eventually someone named Tom McCarthy. Tom was one of the best instructors I've ever had - he cared about each student, was extremely knowledgeable...I came into the UW Coding Bootcamp with no coding experience whatsoever and I ended learning cutting edge technologies and frameworks that I see all over the web and on job applications. The program started out poorly with the initial instructor not seeming to care much about the program. That instructor was then replaced by a couple subs and eventually someone named Tom McCarthy. Tom was one of the best instructors I've ever had - he cared about each student, was extremely knowledgeable, and provided extra resources outside of the course material to help us. Great course but stressful
The course overall was good, had a great learning experience with instructor Tom Mccarthy!
His teaching was easy to follow and all staff had a lot of patience, the tutoring each week also provide additional opportunities to learn more about the course.
But the course is very stressful, with only 6 months and 3 lessons every week, you need to put in a lot more time to study by yourself, and especially in the beginning, it is really hard to follow up.
Stay focused and keep tryin...The course overall was good, had a great learning experience with instructor Tom Mccarthy!

Loved it, but you should be motivated!
I loved the bootcamp. Alex was the most patient and understanding teacher, and there was nothing he couldn't help you fix in 10 minutes or less. Alex pretty much knows everything; definitely an expert in the field. TA's Jason and Lawrence helped me a lot too and they were awesome. If you take advantage of the before and after class office hours you are guaranteed to make the most of this bootcamp. Jen was amazing too. I could have easily fallen behind and not completed the course if she ...I loved the bootcamp. Amazing Experience
Highly recommend this course for someone with or without technical background. Our class had people from all backgrounds and the pace and material was manageable for both. Be prepared to spend the time doing your own research in order to keep up. The teaching staff (Peter, Ali, and Ben) were always available and more than happy to help answer questions. Excellent learning experience!
This course did an excellent job of teaching the web development workflow and its associated technologies with a focus on hands-on experience. While some computer science topics are missed due to the fast pace of the class, the course provides many extracurricular resources for students to follow up lessons. UW Coding Bootcamp (Full-Stack)
My experience at the UW coding bootcamp was exceptional. The instructional team was very supportive and always made themselves available (even outside of class hours) to help answer any questions or help out when needed. Especially during project weeks! The course is very grueling but it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The pace of the class is non-stop and found it was so important to keep up with the homework on a weekly basis as you may find yourself feeling ...My experience at the UW coding bootcamp was exceptional. The instructional team was very supportive and always made themselves available (even outside of class hours) to help answer any questions or help out when needed. Especially during project weeks! The course is very grueling but it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The pace of the class is non-stop and found it was so important to keep up with the homework on a weekly basis as you may find yourself feeling left behind as the course progresses. I found that having a weekly tutoring session on top of attending the pre-class/post-class hours was the most beneficial way to find solutions or get un-stuck on whatever issue I was having.
I am so grateful for the instructional team and the time they put into helping everyone understand the concepts and giving us the the best chance to succeed. I never thought I would be able to begin learning a thing about web development. Every aspect of the course's curricula was challenging. Still, there was help along the way from Instructor John Young, the TA's Ben and Lynna, and the Student Success Manager Jen Alexander. Had a super fun experience and lucky to have been in this cohort with John Young as the instructor, and then Ben, Lynna, (+ other TAs who helped join in during projects) because they were super helpful and supportive!

The atmosphere and learning environment was comfortable and friendly, even with random breakout groups for activities, we were all able to learn even with our different skill levels. Loved using the bootcampspot site, easy to use and understand. All the intros for how things worked were helpful. The curriculum is current and relevant. The teaching staff is dedicated, patient, knowledgable and kind. The pace is fast, i spent probably 18-22 hours outside of class interacting with the material and completing homework/projects. You learn not just the code but the associated coding infrastructure that I found super helpful (git, mongo, heroku, etc). I got more practical experience in the course than independent studying from a book. I feel competent enough to continue practicing and ...The curriculum is current and relevant.
