Read MoreI have three noteworthy points on this course:- The content is focused, pragmatic and covers important data engineering aspects in depth. It offers flexibility as well - you can cover the basics or deep dive into a topic depending on your interests.
- You will get a lot of personalized support for your project, struggles and doubts along the way. That was one of the most valuable aspects to me.
- Daniel and Peter created a learning environment that was truly enjoyable, fun and non-intimidating. The importance of this in a full time remote learning setting should not be underestimated.

Read MoreMy data analytics journey began with a newfound passion for data analysis during my physics coursework. Driven by my love for computers and technology, and the need to support my growing family with a baby on the way, I took a leap of faith and enrolled in the Ohio State University's 24-week data analysis boot camp. From the very beginning, I was immersed in learning advanced Excel, VBA, Python, and SQL, and I knew I was in for an exciting ride.
The boot camp presented challenges, but the rewards were even greater. With an amazing instructional team and round-the-clock support, including tutoring and career services, I felt supported in my pursuit of success. Just four months into the program, I received two job offers - one as a coding instructor for children and the other as a data annotation specialist in an AI startup. Both roles enriched my skills and knowledge.
Shortly after completing the boot camp, I secured a position as a data analyst for a large city. I am now moving into my first apartment with my fiancé and son, and I am incredibly grateful for the hands-on and rewarding educational experience I received. I owe my success to the wonderful instructors and team members who guided me every step of the way.... BEST DECISION EVER!.
My personal experience through this Coding Boot Camp was excellent, and that's what I'm sharing here.
I graduated in October 2018 from the FULL STACK WEB DEVELOPMENT program, started in May 2018 (6 Months).Halfway through the program I decided to offer my services as a Web Developer; built 2 websites for free and then I got a paid client. At this point, 3 months are enough for you to start building beautiful websites, building up portfolio, and hopefully getting your first clients.
Before graduation I got an offer from the company I currently work at.The program covers a lot ... I understand, “a lot” it's a very broad and abstract term, but, I mean it, A LOT; from the very basic HTML to functional React Web Applications, from your command prompt to data manipulation and databases, from your first lines of code “Hello World” to dynamic, interactive, responsive and potentially profitable $$$ real world projects.
Career services are great, they will absolutely help you to become employer-ready-competitive, to be more noticeable, and most important, they will guide you through the job search process.

Instructors are experienced, very knowledgeable and fun, they're in the industry, usually in different fields. which is great, and you get to learn a lot from them.
Thanks to this University of Miami Coding Bootcamp my life has changed for good, it's incredible how 6 months of hard work can transform everything, I got hired by a great company, in a role that I really enjoy and most important, where I'm able to apply everything I have learned.
This experience is just the beginning of a career full of awesomeness, professional growth and tons of lines of code. SUPER RECOMMENDED!
You really have to take it seriously, put the hard hours, study, practice, practice, practice, practice a lot, research, network, go the extra mile!. - 6Reviews4CoursesUO Continuing and Professional Education Boot Camps offer noncredit, 24-week, part-time web development, data analytics, cybersecurity, and UX/UI courses. Some insight I would offer is that one of the most complex parts was learning how to use the tools. Because I had no background in design, the tools were utterly new to me. If I were to do it over again, I would take time to get a jump start and learn the basics of Figma before starting the program. In terms of time commitment, it would have been nearly impossible for me to complete the program while working full-time. I easily spent 20 hours a week on homework alone. Another thing to note is that office hours are 30 minutes before and after every class. They are beneficial, and I attended most of them to ask questions and get help.
My goal was to get the most out of the program, and one thing that was a struggle for me was that I would have liked more support. Office hours are great, but when there are 15 people all waiting to get their questions answered in 30 minutes, there is rarely enough time for everyone. Tutoring is offered once weekly for 45 minutes; if you're struggling, you can request an additional session. I could have easily had 2 - 3 hour weekly sessions because of my many questions. This was not a struggle for everyone in my cohort, but I had A LOT of questions since everything was new to me.
Overall, I would choose the same program if I were to do it all over again. I hope this review gives additional insight to prospective students. With dedication and hard work, you can do this! Metana

Undertaking the Metana bootcamp has been a transformative experience that I can only describe as exceptional. This comprehensive program is unparalleled in its breadth and depth, providing a robust dive into the many nuances of blockchain technology. Covering critical topics such as Security, Auditing, ERC standards (ERC-20, ERC721, ERC1155), EVM Deep Dive, and Gas Optimization, the curriculum is as vast as an iceberg - immense and profound, with a majority of its substance unseen at first glance.
The bootcamp's comprehensive nature is mirrored in the extensive homework, which, though challenging, serves to reinforce and expand one's understanding of the blockchain landscape. Each assignment is designed to push your boundaries, encouraging growth, resilience, and fostering an in-depth understanding of complex blockchain concepts.
An integral part of the bootcamp's success lies in its exemplary faculty. Every instructor brings a wealth of professional experience to the table, combining deep knowledge with an innate ability to simplify complex concepts. Their constant availability for support and guidance is a testament to their dedication to nurturing students’ learning journey.
Perhaps the most unique aspect of the Metana bootcamp is the real-world employment perspective it offers. The program instils a keen understanding of what employers are seeking, and assists in honing your presentation skills to meet these expectations. This emphasis on holistic development is a testament to the bootcamp's forward-thinking approach, preparing you not just technically, but also professionally.
However, what truly sets the Metana bootcamp apart is its warm, inclusive community led by its CEO, Stan. Stan's welcoming nature and personable approach have made my experience immensely enriching. His commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment has been instrumental in encouraging my journey through the bootcamp. His presence and dedication serve as a reminder of the company's focus on student growth and success. For this, I can't express my gratitude enough.
In conclusion, the Metana bootcamp is an immersive, demanding, yet incredibly rewarding journey. It invites you to delve deep into the world of blockchain technology under the guidance of expert instructors and within a nurturing community. It's a bootcamp that prepares you not only for the technical challenges of blockchain but also for the professional demands of the job market. I wholeheartedly recommend Metana bootcamp to anyone willing to embark on a challenging yet enlightening voyage into the heart of blockchain technology.DataFlair

Before I started Adelaide University's Coding Boot-camp, I was a professional hairstylist for 8 years. I enjoyed the Job, but disliked the work environment, and realized there was a ceiling on this career both monetarily and in opportunities. During my third lock down (due to Covid-19) I decided I should pursue something I enjoy and have a passion for. I knew that University wasn't for me, as each course included subjects I thought were unnecessary or not in my interest, and it would have to give up working hours which financially I couldn't do. I then saw a an Ad for the Boot-camp. This piqued my interest.
I clicked the Ad and this was the beginning of a new pathway for me. I sent my information off and quickly received a call from a representative whom told me about the course and answered my questions. 4 things stood out to me. The course was 6 months long, which was a lot less intimidating than a full 4 year Uni degree. The classes were held in the evening after work, which meant I wouldn't have to give up any work hours. The course was online. Due to the spicy cough, classes were held online, which meant I didn't have to travel to the city to attend. Finally the course was affordable. I was given multiple payment options in which to choose from, to fit my situation. All of this helped me make the decision. I knew that if I signed up, I would be locking myself in to 6 months of intense work and study. I wanted to maintain working full time, 38 hour weeks, however the boot-camp recommended at least 20 hours of personal study every week. This meant I would be working all day, attending the boot-camp at night, and studying in any free time I had spare. Now even though I would be trading my time for the course, it was an easy decision. I had a passion for development and wanted to see it through. The Course
Starting the course I was excited and nervous, but they made the induction process smooth. I received a checklist of things to do before the course began to get myself ready. This included setting up my machine and installing the needed applications, and signing up for the necessary websites. This was all very easy and straight forward. The first day we met our Instructor and our TA, both of whom were excited to meet everyone and very welcoming. From then we started into the topics and participated in activities, working along side our class mates. Every week we ended with an assignment that used all the information from the topic we had just studied, so the information was fresh in our minds, and easy to go back to if we needed a refresher. Some project assignments were done in groups so we could get a taste of what it's like in a team-based, real world environment. As the weeks went on, stress levels went up and down as I struggled with topics I wasn't as confident on, or powered through assignments, the end drew near.
About six weeks before the end of the course. I received a phone call. It was from a hiring manager offering me a Developer position! I was blown away and ecstatic. My dream was slowly fading into reality. I interviewed and 4 weeks later was at the desk of my new job. 1 week after that, I graduated the boot-camp ready to explore my new doors and opportunities as they show themselves.
If you are thinking of joining a boot camp because you are thinking it's short and easy. Then this isn't for you. If you are looking at this course because you are passionate but don't think the full University experience is for you, this is a good supplement. You still have to apply and study, and it can be hard working a full time job, and studying almost just as much but if you have the drive it is possible, and you might even start a new career from it. The self-guided course contents empowered me to channel my inner self-starter before the live instruction sessions further sharpened my understanding of these new concepts, and the weekly assignments inspired me to develop my own projects that are now among the centerpieces of my web development portfolio.
These experiences—plus the invaluable experience gained during the curriculum's group projects—adequately prepared me for the job market; with a third of the boot camp still before me, I'm actively applying to and interviewing for development jobs after taking advantage of the career services team's support in fine-tuning my resume and other application materials.
That said, if I could offer two pieces of advice to future students, they would be to be patient and know you'll have to put in the work. This boot camp is 100% a "you get out of it what you put in" endeavor, and the concepts presented can be extremely challenging, particularly for those with little to no previous background in web development (which you don't need to be successful in the boot camp!).
Students who remain dedicated, however—and trust that it will all "click" as their knowledge base grows—will undoubtedly find themselves overcoming those challenges and embracing the change they're looking for.
