SheCodes is open to beginners and aims to provide for those who want to enter the tech industry with the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to succeed. There are various workshop packages that students can purchase depending on their coding needs and existing skill level.
During the workshops, a SheCodes instructor will help students build projects like websites and apps for a portfolio to showcase skills to prospective employers. Instructor Matt Delac is a Full-Stack Engineer with over 10 years of experience specializing in JavaScript and Ruby and has worked with international tech companies such as Envato, Google, and Airbnb.

Great bootcamp

Amazing Course
Learning with SheCodes has definitely been empowering and interesting. SheCodes opened my eyes to a whole new world that I didn't think I could be apart of. This course helped expand my mind and learn new skills at the same time. I have a learning condition and thought that was really going to make me struggle with this course but I'm so glad to say I was wrong. Introduction to Coding workshop
I enjoyed this workshop so much! I was an absolute beginner before starting this workshop. I thought my brain won't be able to get how to code. I am truly amazed how quick we learnt and what we are already able to do! True, we still have a lot to learn (so google will be your best friend for a while :D ) but it is also so addictive. I am definitely going to continue with SheCodes Plus, I am so excited!! I love your approach, it is totally fitting how I like to work and learn: the deadli...I enjoyed this workshop so much! This workshop is for beginners who have no previous experience in coding, such as myself. The structure of the course is great, everything is explained in a way that anyone can understand, although you must be familiar with how to install SW or how to work with the computer in general (saving files, opening 2 windows on the screen, etc.) as that is something that is not addressed but is expected from you. I loved the fact I could work on my lessons any time I wanted and even finish earlier but totally agree that going slower is not a good idea. The content was balanced and because I now continue with SheCodes+ I can say that the instructor gave the perfect amount of information in each lesson for me to be able to learn something new and make sure that I can build on what I had learned previously. At times, it was challenging, but just the right amount. I think overall it is absolutely worth the money. As a beginner, I had no idea where to start and now I am able to understand the basics and recognize the different codes of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and read it with confidence.
One last note, it requires you to be curious and work on your own a lot. Accept it and make the best of it. There is a great support throughout from the SheCodes team as well as other participants, but you will get such a confidence boost if you only give it a try and figure things out on your own first. I was impressed that a company is taking the initiative to tackle a global issue in the technological industry. Furthermore, the credibility and reliability of its CEO & Founder plus the recognition from various notable companies really did it for me. I've always dreamed of working for some of the companies mentioned. Thus, I knew I had to join SheCodes. Next, the 100% online SheCodes workshop. It has bite-sized videos with mini exercises for each lesson which encourages students to take initiative and be pro-active in their learning. One can also do it at their own time and convenience within the stipulated workshop duration. If one needs any assistance, tech support on Slack and even experienced students are more than welcome to help. I learnt a lot and appreciate the positive learning environment. As a busy full-time undergraduate and part-time HR personnel exposed to learning and development, I approved of this and recognised that such methods are the future of learning. When I first came upon a SheCodes ad, I was immediately intrigued; and when my employer asked me to attend further training during my short-term work, I jumped at the opportunity – and never regretted it. Being totally absorbed in the learning videos and corresponding challenges, hours pass without me realising it. SheCodes is an amazing project with a very special message. I'm very glad to see that a workshop is supporting women's careers in a male dominant industry. I was curious about coding for a good while but never thought I would be able to do it. A huge thank you to this amazing team for showing me it's possible and for changing my life!
